Stuart Pearce steered Manchester United to victory against Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 3 - 1 in their Division 1 fixture.
Fàbregas scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Alba was also on the scoresheet for his side.
recieved all the "confirmation" messages tonight for winning the league etc
    including picking up.

After a prolific season for Manchester United, Sergio AGÜERO is awarded the SMFA Golden Boot.
for scoring 25 (league) goals in 36 apps

After a fantastic season with Manchester United, Cesc FÀBREGAS is awarded the SMFA Player of the season.
    with an average performance rating
    of 8.08 over 37 appearances

finished the league with a 16point difference and received just over 4mil in prize money, still got one game left(although its my asst. in charge) against chelski in the champions cup ,so possibly more silverware but not holding out
other players worth a mention from my squad has gotta be m'baye niang
who's spent 36 games out on loan to afc telford and in that time racked up a pretty impressive 32 goals, 13 assits and 17 m.o.m's

Tranmere Rovers promoted to the 3th Division!
Needing a win to be sure to get promoted the Tranmere team rampaged the goal of York City, over 25 shots on goal against 5 still it turned out to be a dissapointing 1-1 which meaned that a win for Fleetwood would get them promoted thankfully for us they didn't.
Although dissapointed that we couldn't finish it off in style against a weaker team with only unfit players we are thrilled to be promoted, next year will be a real struggle to stay in, but we are gonna try our best!
to all teams in D4 that go for playoffs, good luck!

Look forward to being back in Division 2 now next season with a chance to give it a good go as many will remember I joined Fulham when the writing was almost on the wall for them to be relegated so we are back at the first attempt.

With only a handful of games remaining, the third season of EC28697 is drawing to a close. And the great news is that this remains one of the most popular game worlds in the forum.
After last season generated enough interest to deserve an encore, the Manager Of The Season Awards will return. Voting will open after the final league matches of the season have been played - giving people the option of having their votes influenced by the play-offs or not.
I'm posting this in advance so that people can consider managers from across the divisions for their respective awards.
In the meantime, a look at where last season's winners are now...
Dan Malone (Division 5 and Game World manager of the Season)
No longer a part of the Game World, unfortunately, Dan will not be able to defend his title. His old club Cambridge are currently 2nd in Division 4 though and look set for successive promotions. The new manager could be a strong candidate.
Ben Magee (Division 1 manager of the season)
Spurs have slipped into mid-table obscurity this season. However, Ben's side did reach the final of the English Shield.
Joseba Zilarte (Division 2 manager of the season)
After successive promotions to the Premier League, Bristol City are currently 10th and without doubt will be staying up - they could even make the Europa League.
Secasiu Calin-Mihai (Divison 3 manager of the season)
Just lingering outside of the play-offs, Secasiu's success has continued - a top 6 finish would make him a major candidate for another award.
Borges (Division 4 manager of the season)
Currently third in Division 3; the team is in the mix for a play-off place.

Heartbreaking defeat for us in the English Shield final: losing to an 87th minute winner. We pushed Spurs all the way and were even winning up until the last 20 minutes before the opposition began to show their class. I'm proud of the team's efforts to reach both finals though and congratulations to Spurs and Jack Simpson on winning the trophy. It is good news for the Game World for silverware to be dispersed to multiple teams of both high and low status.
I can now fully concentrate on the league, although just in time for the gruelling three match weeks (we need a Monday off!), we need to keep ourselves away from the relegation zone so that next season we can be playing both Division 3 and Europa League football.

Carlisle United Win the English Cup
    Altrincham 0 - 1 Carlisle United
    Schaars 13'
The small towns of Altrincham and Carlisle were left bare on Monday as fans travelled in their tens of thousands to watch their beloved teams battle it out for the first major silverware of the season. There was a lot of talk pre-match about both teams being winners regardless thanks to the added finances, and this became even more true thanks to the nature of the English Shield Final - both teams will likely qualify for the Europa League next season.
We set up with a diamond midfield and wing-backs in order to try and dominate possession and focus on build up play. We also started with three centre-backs in order to keep out the likelihood of Altrincham having two forwards. In the end, this plan went perfectly as we managed to take an early lead thanks to a moment of class from club captain Stijn Schaars. We had to deal with a lot of pressure from the Altrincham attack but thanks to Cassio having one of his superb games, we managed to hold on with more of the ball.
The fans, players and myself alike were ecstatic at the full-time whistle and we were partying non-stop until the famous trophy lift (performed by the match winner himself Stijn Schaars) and then deep into the night.
Commiserations to Altrincham and Libaan Hassan; to reach the final from the bottom division is quite an achievement and he has a lot of income to show for it and (hopefully) Europa League football next season.

    Charlton Athletic: Season Preview
The same objective as last season, perhaps we should have it engraved on our crest as the new club motto? Nonetheless, it is fair and certainly going to be a challenge as the team is the second least valuable in the division.
First game of the Season: Manchester United (Home) -- we get the ball rolling under tough circumstances as we host the most prestigious name in English football and EC7046's longest serving manager.
Players to watch this season: Alvaro Negredo won player of the season in the last campaign and naturally stands as the biggest threat for opposing teams. However, Rod Fanni, who signed in the latter stages of last season, will look to continue his good start with the club. Cristian Ledesma bagged plenty of assists last season and his midfield partner Rio Mavuba brings the prestige of a 90 rated player.
There have been no big signings over the summer so it's currently a case of sticking to the status quo.
    Squad List for Season 11:
    Goalkeepers:
    01. A. Mirante
    12. M. Hassen
    Defenders:
    02. J. Heitinga
    03. B. Tremoulinas
    04. D. Astori

    16. L. Cana
    19. A. Almeida
    21. R. Fanni
    25. R. Guerreiro
    26. C. Hountondji
    Midfielders:
    06. R. Mavuba
    07. A. Samedov

    11. S. Lulic
    15. L. Osvaldo (on loan from Middlesbrough)
    18. A. Martins (on loan from Milton Keynes Dons)
    20. B. Emre

Right guys, plenty of time on my hands at the minute and have been thinking for a while about setting up a little Next Gen type knockout tournament. Would space it out across the season to allow any draws to be replayed at opposite grounds as obviously friendlies can be drawn. If i got some decent interest i could get the teams wishing to enter together and get the first random set of fixtures knocked up. Would be pretty strict on the rules with no over 21s and a max rating of either 84/85. As i say, i have the time for arrange all fixtures and keep an eye on any rules breakers. Also would do a little write up after each knockout stage and once the tournament had finished and we had a winner, would do a write up on manager and player of tournament.
First i need to see what sort of interest it generates, there are a lot of teams in this setup who take a lot of pride in their youth teams, think it would be a waste not to have a little fun with it.

    Charlton Athletic - Season Review
A 2-1 defeat on the final game of the season saw us finish 16th in the league with a total of 13 wins, 6 draws and 19 defeats.
Here is a brief review of our season...
    Predicted Finish: 19th
    Actual Finish: 16th
Top Scorer: Alvaro Negredo - 10 goals
Most Assists: Cristian Ledesma - 10 assists
Most Appearances: Cristian Ledesma and Sylvain Distin - 34 appearances
Player of the Season: Alvaro Negredo
If it wasn't for Negredo's goals we probably wouldn't have survived the drop, he is arguably our only world class player and has allowed us to compete against teams full of world class players. We don't draw many games and have picked up a satisfying amount of points from victories with thanks to do-or-die methods of getting the ball to Negredo. I expect interest during the close season and although there was a time when I would've considered a 2-for-1 deal for him, I'm not sure if it would be worth it anymore. He has become crucial.
    A look to next season...
With the first team quite old, I am going to spend the close season building up the youth setup further with whatever prize winnings I earn (probably not a lot). There likely won't be many big transfers in or out; funds are slim and I can't afford to give away 2 players for 1 (not that many people want players over 30 anyway). Hopefully this set of players can avoid relegation yet again next season, although we have to believe we can do more than just that - or else there is no point in competing.
Congratulations to all promoted teams, commiserations to all who have been relegated and thank you all for an enjoyable first full season for me here in EC7046.

    Swansea Division 1 Champions...

Swansea tonight won the Division 1 title with a 1-1 draw away at West Brom. "A ten match unbeaten run at the right time of the season, was the deciding factor!" said the Treble 1999...
I would like to thank all the manager's for a real roller coaster season, and for a really good end of season run in, especially to the Liverpool manager, who took the title challenge to the very last season. To win the top Division in the best and most challenging league on Sm, puts a real smile on your face.
My first season in the top flight could not of gone any better, but the bar has now been set, and winning the title is the easy bit. Defending the title is the real hard bit.
My squad is now going to have to be strengthened due to our European challenge for next season, so im going to have to make sacrifice's.
Edin Dzecko will be made available until the new season kick off. Im looking for a 2 for 1 deal , with a striker a must in the part exchange. But he will only leave if the right deal for Swansea is reached. But for now its party time ...
    . Roll on next season...

Ahh well there you have it... All that fuss and we finish 5 points away from the relegation zone. Bit underwhelming for me really but nah nice to ensure another season in the big league. Hopefully there won't be a repeat of this for a while lol.
In other news Everton are delighted to announce the arrival of Mr Lewandowski to the club for the start of next season. Meaning a trio of Suarez, Benzema and the new guy himself will be leading the line.. Scary stuff arguably 3 of the top 10 strikers currently on the planet playing for the biggest teams in world football.

One of the top moments for me here in EC7777 (second only to last season's play-off final); beating the current Division 1 Champions to seal a semi-final place. Much respect for Maoam as ever, going out to a single penalty is rough but over the 90 minutes I think we earned it.
The draw has once more been tough on us as we play the highest ranked team remaining in the semi-final; Aston Villa. The positive of this is that I get to face off against Frozy (another manager I have much respect for) - not to mention that the two clubs have had a mutual connection over the past two seasons in aiding Villa's youth and bettering Carlisle's squad through loan deals.
A great game in prospect and another great occasion for Carlisle United.
