  1. Looks a really good player technically but couldn't cut it at League 1 level at only 17 years old. Needs to get stronger and make better decisions in possession. Lost the ball a lot by trying to do too much, always trying to take players on. Very skilful and in the David Silva mold as a player, but returned to Arsenal from Barnsley as clearly not yet ready for proper man's football. Having said that, don't rule him out of becoming a real star in the future, the attributes are there, but it's all potential at the moment.
  2. Back in September 2012 I posted a report on John Stones who had just broken into the Barnsley first team. At the time he was 18 years old and rated 75. Now he has cemented his place at Everton and is an England international, maybe even a future captain. Now we have a new kid on the block, and I could almost cut and paste my original report on Stones and just change the name to…… Mason Holgate Club : Barnsley Age : 18 Position : RB/CB Rating : 73 Holgate made his debut on 2 December 2014 and has since played regularly at right back in League 1. He is very comfortable on the ball, composed and looks a great prospect. He has been outstanding in his first season playing first team football, and there is clearly much more to come. Although he has been playing full back, it is thought that CB will be his long term position. He will be a “ball playing” centre back in time. Arsenal & Tottenham are amongst a number of Premiership clubs monitoring his progress. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-monitoring-barnsleys-18-year-old-defender-4882218 Snap him up cheap at 73 rating and watch him rise & rise!

  4. Re: John Stones Came back from 3 months injury yesterday and was Man of Match v Manchester City. See article & twitter comments here http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/01/10/everton-fans-react-on-twitter-to-john-stones-performance-v-manch/ Still only rated 86 at 20 yo, still time to get on board as he will go 90++
  5. Re: John Stones Nice little video of his game for Everton v Fulham recently. Stones is the kid in the bandage/head-band. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=8ab_1396457593 Gonna be some player, up there with the very best; first touch, pace, skill, bravery, passing, intelligence. Lad has it all, just a bit more strength and experience and he'll be an England regular for sure.
  6. Re: John Stones Another update.... Stones made his full Premiership debut for Everton in the 1-1 draw at Stoke City on New Years Day. since then he has kept his place in the team and played full matches against QPR in the FA Cup, and today against Norwich in the Premier League, helping his team to 2 clean sheets in the process. Everton fans are starting to get excited by him, according to some of their tweets; Paul efc1878 ‏@Paulyboy1878 1m Our football today is of a very high standard . 7. Re: Russian and Ukraine Player Analysis Will he be due a rise to 88 do you think Sparky?
  8. Re: What players should rise 90+? Some of them are 90+ already mate. Keko Gallardo & Bassam Omar eh? I admire your optimism.
  9. Games Without Frontiers Men Without Hats I do realise this is not helpful or clever.
  10. Re: John Stones Roberto Martinez: “In my eyes, he’s the most promising young English centre-half that we have in the country." Article here http://stdomingos.com/2013/09/25/everton-have-the-best-young-centre-back-in-the-country/
  11. Re: Coutinho vs Cleverly Coutinho is much better at the moment. Who knows how they will progress in future, but Coutinho is not only better now, he looks to have more potential as well.
  12. Re: Adnan Januzaj it dosent exist in sm Click on the "earth/world" icon at the top of the screen, go to player database and then to New Players. Click Load Data Pack and all the new players will be added. You'll have to do this on a regular basis if you want all the new players available to you.
  13. Re: The Best Talent of 10k Beiber, Styles both got big futures.
  14. Re: Jupiler pro league (belgium) I noticed two young forwards are getting game time at Club Brugge - Wang Shangyuan & Bolingoli Mbombo. I guess they should be added to DB soon, and wondered if they are worth buying?
  15. Re: Riferimento: Re: Brazilian Prospects Thread
  16. Fabrice N'SAKALA Is Fabrice N'SAKALA (ES Troyes) worth keeping? He had a good rise to 84 from 75 last time, but is playing at L2 club so probably can't rise any further unless he moves clubs. I have quite a small team who's average starting rating is 87, and he doesn't get near the first team. Consequently the £4m I could sell him for would come in very handy.....as long as he doesn't turn out to be some kind of world beater in the future. TIA
  17. I thought I'd do a report on this lad, as he's pretty unknown but could have a big future.. Name : Paul Digby Club : Barnsley Age : 18 Position : CM/DM Rating : 75 The next "good thing" to come out of the Barnsley Academy and has a few first team appearances already. He was out injured most of last season with issues apparently related to his physical growth. He is now well over 6 feet (maybe nearer 6 and a half feet!) and fit at the moment. He started his first Championship game of the season last week against Blackpool. Digby is very composed on the ball, covers ground quickly, tackles well, and is a good passer long & short. Type of player he might try and emulate - Patrick Viera? He is obviously quite raw as an 18 year old, and who knows what height he will grow to, but he's the best young prospect at the club since John Stones was sold to Everton (see my separate thread on Stones). He will rise from 75 this season as he'll get quite a bit of first team action, depends on games but he could easily reach 80+ (Stones went 75--82) if he keeps playing regularly. My advice would be to buy him, loan him out, and see if his career progresses as it should. You'll can keep him in your Youth squad for another 3 years whilst monitoring his development, but will make money when he rises in any event. Just today he has been called up to England U-19's. If he stays fit, he'll be a very good player for the future.

  19. Re: John Stones Made his debut for England U21 last night. Played well. Interview here http://audioboo.fm/boos/1546654-former-barnsleyfc-defender-john-stones-on-england-u21-debut#t=0m9s
  20. Re: John Stones Drafted in to the English senior squad training. They obviously rate him highly. Very difficult to tell with young players how they'll develop and as a defender he won't reach his peak for a long time yet. Can't see any reason currently he won't be a regular for England in future years and reach 90+. Of course there's a hell of a lot of football to be played before then..... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/10237240/Wayne-Rooney-joins-in-England-training-despite-concerns-over-shoulder-injury.html
