  1. Good suggestion and i'll get it passed on as it'd be very useful. The issue re the players display on the tactics page has now been fixed. The other bugs we're aware of and currently working on fixes. What are you finding harder about the new interface? I've found out that there is a limit to how many people you can mulit-quote! So i'm now getting round to answering the others. Re "going forward" it means that it'll be getting worked on in the coming days so that you are even more heavily penalised. True but i'd rather click on the Player Profile and see it displayed in front of me without having to perform another click. I've flagged this up and hopefully the devs will take that feedback on board and make the change.
  2. A player's performance will be effected and they will also see a reduction in their rating - so a double whammy if they are played out of position and this will be made harsher going forward. BrutBrutBrut has more or less said what I would've replied because if you don't need them and your Chairman won't let you loan them out, then you need to asses your squad and either sell them or play them. What issue is that? I'll pass your suggestions on to the development team and we'll be sitting down later in the week to go over things like this to see whether we should implement them and if so how and where. This has been logged in our bug system and a fix will be applied shortly because like you i'm finding it very annoying! I'll pass on this suggestion because anything in the new UI that takes longer or is annoying needs to be addressed in the coming weeks. This will be added in the coming weeks. We're already aware of this and it's been logged.
  3. The old interface this is still being worked on as it was only put live again yesterday and there will be some display issues like with formations and where players can play on the tactics page. If a player is highlighted as yellow on the tactics page it means they can potentially play there but they will be penalised for doing so. We are currently in the process of making this a lot harsher and personally I wouldn't put a player out of position now or going forward unless it was an emergency. Good point and i've flagged this up. One of the issues that our community raised was "player hogging" and therefore we won't be relaxing the loan system because this would defeat the point of us trying to tackle this issue and implement the feedback we've had. The match engine has been ported from SM16. So no it's not technically a new one as it's a few months old but it has replaced the old one that we had for a good number of years. We will continue to make improvements to it going forward like adding 2D matchday highlights to the score centre. Re the old interface this is still being worked on as it was only put live again yesterday and there will be some display issues like with formations and where players can play on the tactics page. I really like the app and it's how it should've been when we launched our app a few years back. I think it's very slick and easy to use but needs a few things ironing out and this will be done over the coming weeks. I took me a few days to get used to the new UI and there's still things that i'm flagging up that i'm finding hard to do. If i'm finding them hard and i've been playing since day one then others will be as well. So we want our community to provide as much feedback on the new UI as possible to help us make changes going forward. I think the new UI is like marmite - you either love it or hate it. I think those that don't like it are the older members of our community who have got used to the old interface but we've had good feedback from our newer members. So now is the time to try and get that balance with your help and feedback to improve the new UI whilst everyone has the option to change between both old and new.
  4. Any chance that I could have a screenshot so I can pass this info on and also if you let me know what device this is in - cheers. These have all been flagged up as i've found that out myself the other day and it's very annoying. I think you guys sometimes forget that I am a customer as well and probably the oldest one on this forum. I'm probably more of a hardcore user than some of you guys as it feels like i'm on the game and forum 24/7. So things that you are reporting as annoying, hard to use, finding bugs etc I am as well and i've been logging a lot of them. I'm not an ostrich who plonks his head in the sand as I know if i'm finding something annoying / hard to use then other people will be as well. I think (this is from my view as customer and not that of SM) that the main problem is the speed, annoying little bugs and certain aspects of usability. When these are sorted out as well as changes to the interface based on feedback then it'll be a lot better. For example just look at how long things take to load up on the old interface compared to the new one. A massive difference. I know that this is being worked on around the clock and will make a big difference.
  5. Could you please start a new thread re the player database, formations etc as this needs a separate discussion and I don't want feedback relating to the UI getting lost in here - cheers.
  6. Thank you for everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback on the relaunched game. It is really appreciated and it's good to see that you are all as passionate about the game as we are. It is your feedback that helps drive the game forward and what has made it into the game what it is today as many of your ideas and suggestions have been implemented over the years and will continue to be. We've been passing on everyone's feedback whether that has been on the forum, social media, via in-game PM and email to the development team. Due to this we've put the old interface that you all like so much back into the game and you can now move freely between the old and new ones. This will remain in place until we have a new interface that the majority of you are happy with. Whilst we make changes to the new user interface, please continue to provide constructive feedback on our forums because without this the game won't be able to develop.
  7. I've just posted the following on our blog: "Thank you for everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback. I'm going to put that into a sticky thread for all to see and hopefully you'll continue to provide constructive feedback as we make changes to the new user interface. I've also cleared up this thread (and will continue to keep it clean) so that anyone can easily see posts that are constructive and i'll apologise in advance if yours has been deleted (or may be deleted going forward).
  8. Guys i'm just reading through all of the feedback but it's hard as there is some complete nonsense in hear which is making the feedback I want to pass on hard to find / read. Therefore if your post has suddenly vanished it's down to that. So please don't argue with one another or go off topic as this isn't helping anyone.
  9. Yes, I know that it was a busy sub forum along with the Portuguese one and they'll both be back up and running next week as we're still carrying out work as there is a lot of data to move over from the old providers.
  10. I know you've said it's in all of your club's but could you let me know one club and which Game World that is in as I can get a dev to look into this today? Also if you'd let me know what device and browser you're using that'd be helpful along with a screenshot if possible - cheers.
  11. I'm closing this thread as it's from 2014. Any feedback on the relaunch can be made here.
  12. Have you read our blog post about the new user interface? What specific areas aren't you finding user friendly?
  13. I'm closing this due to being a duplicate thread. Any feedback on the relaunch can be made here - cheers.
  14. We are happy to announce the relaunch of Soccer Manager Worlds to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it contains some exciting updates and we’ll start with the biggest. New Match Engine A new Match Engine has been introduced to Soccer Manager Worlds. So what does this mean? It means that better results are obtained with modern formations and player ratings have an exponential value in a match, so the best footballers in the game will perform even better for your team. Additional formations such as 4-2-3-1 narrow and 4-4-2 narrow diamond have been added along with some improvements to the effectiveness of certain existing formations. Also, player position compatibility for certain formations is now more realistic, making match days more strategic. For example only DM(L/R) and M(L/R) can only play the wingback role perfectly within formations such as 3-5-2 and D(L/R) will not play as well in a 3 man defence. We have removed some Player / Team Instructions / Styles. For example one option that we have removed is “Men Behind Ball” which is the same as “Mentality Defensive”. The new Match Engine includes more realistic match statistics such as possession, corners, shots and player match ratings. We believe that the new match engine will enhance your matchday experience due to it being more in-depth and providing a greater test of your management skills. New User Interface & App We have added a slick new design for the desktop that gives the game a modern feel. The new user interface has been developed with the help of feedback from our community. This redesign has been done in tandem with our new app so that the interface of both is the same and this will help when you switch from one platform to the other. SMFA We have made several revisions to the SMFA as we have introduced a new system to help prevent in-game cheating. Revised Attendances & Stadium Building Based on our communities feedback, we have made several changes to attendances and stadium building. Smaller clubs and those coming up through the divisions will now receive higher attendances and have their stadium capacity increased (to a far higher level) to reflect their league standing. The maximum capacity of 24,000 is being lifted because we want attendances to be more dynamic and based on your success. This means your fan base will dictate any increases to your stadium which will be made by your Chairman at the start of a new season. It will not cost your club any money as the Chairman will pay for this. So how will fan bases work? Well, each club has a set fan base when a Game World is created. This fan base could increase over a period of time dependent on your success. However, the fan base will never increase to more than the highest fan base within your league. Likewise, just as a fan base will increase, it can also decrease if your club is underachieving. We believe that this will be a welcome change because it is one that you, our community, have been asking for. Game World Economies There are several improvements that will affect the economy of your Game World. We've been working on these areas for the past few months. Prior to that we've spent considerable time reading all of the feedback on the forum, twitter, Facebook and via email. There's a lot of differing views on the subjects of squad sizes and player hogging and we've taken this into account when working on our changes. We also believe that the changes we're making will help to improve the SMFA and reduce cheating. So what exactly are our changes? The algorithm for calculating a player’s value has been changed to include the player’s potential rating and any concerns they may have, as well as what was taken into account before: rating, age and position. Player’s with concerns will see a substantial decrease in their value, the higher the level of concern the greater the decrease in value. This should help smaller clubs pick up better players for cheaper than their maximum value and the club they are leaving will receive a substantially lower fee when they hand in a transfer request. Player values will be the same for all clubs when looking at the same player. Players are also worth the same when included in part exchange deals. There is no longer one chairman valuing a player differently from another. Player wages are being drastically increased for better players, this should help stop player hogging and force people to sell top players they are not using. Player concerns can no longer be bought off. There will remain 5 levels of concern and they will run 3 times a season, meaning a player would finally leave a club after 1.5 seasons, at a substantially reduced value. Selling a player to an external club in the Game World now only has a 7 day transfer ban. Finally you can no longer set players to Unavailable to Transfer or set a Minimum Fee because we want to encourage interaction between managers.
  15. Just a quick heads up in that Game World IDs 238724, 239094, 17658 and 161601 are all full with only a few places coming available every so often. Game World ID 3065 has plenty of available clubs if you'd like to look at the new features and UI (Bolton are half decent and Chelsea will be available in the coming days).
  16. I'll get that flagged up as now I can see that on certain screen resolutions people could have problems. Nothing to do with the discussion re 3-5-2 as i'll hold my hands up and say I made a balls up as per this thread.
  17. First of all many thanks for your feedback. I can only view 10 on mine but it'll probably be due to my monitor and screen resolution. At first I was of the same view so I can understand where you are coming from but i've not got used to this and i'm now of the view that the page will look very cramped if you try and add everyone to it. It's exactly the same on the Tactics page for me as the Squad page so not sure why you can see more on that?
  18. First of all many thanks for taking the time to provide detailed feedback as this will only help make the game better for everyone. I'm in agreement as I want things to be as easy as possible and have less clicks. I'm also like you in that I want to see as much information as possible about my opponents before deciding on both my tactics and lineup. So i'm in agreement with what you've wrote. That's why i've flagged up that the scores in the last 5 games should be clickable and bring you to the Match Report. These areas still need to be worked on as as you say they're still missing a lot of basic information. This has only just been added as I flagged up that the mini calendar was extremely useful for quickly looking ahead at your forthcoming fixtures. I like it as it is as it's very simple and serves it's purpose' date=' to display a snapshot of your forthcoming fixtures.[/font'] One of the features that our community have been asking to put back into the game is the newspaper. We're reintroducing this within the News Feed as when it's finished managers will be able to add pictures' date=' additional text etc and this will make the feed more interactive.[/font'] One thing that i've flagged up in relation to the Squad page is it always defaults to Full Team. I don't know IF it's because i'm used to just seeing First Team but I always switch to that in the filter irrespective if it's my squad or someone else’s that i'm looking at. I wouldn't mind First Team being the default so i've put this forward. I came across this problem myself along with several other bugs this morning on the tactics page and these have now been logged in our system. You can see your balance at the top of these pages and by clicking on that it takes you to your finance page. This is already in the game and has been for a good number of years. I understand what you are saying and you can also use the same argument for being notified with a club message when someone bids on a player on your shortlist. Isn’t that being lazy? For example in the past i’ve noticed Player X can now be bid on. I wait 24 hours and then make my offer and then all of a sudden 2-3 other managers who have shortlisted him make offers. Would they have done that IF I didn’t make the first offer? Apart from your home screen where else would you like to see it? The league table still need a lot of work doing to it as basic information such as promotion / relegation places' date=' qualification for SMFA competitions, arrows to display change in position etc are missing. So it’s probably best to hang fire with feedback on this area for the time being.[/font'] Good suggestion. I’ll log this in our doc to pass on to the devleopment team. Agree it should order it by capacity. I’ll flag this up but others might disagree with us.
  19. We found out that we were using the old valuations and not the new ones and hence why the offers were being rejected. This has now been fixed Anton.
  20. Can you post specifics of the deal that you are trying to do so that we can look into this? Ok I understand now. If you look at a lot of match previews you will see that they either use a full pitch or half pitch to display the lineup. We've decided the display half a pitch instead of a full one.
  21. One of the areas of the game that will be changing shortly is manager activity within the game. This change was highlighted back in September. SM Worlds is a social game. It works best when there are active managers within a Game World. A managers experience can be ruined due to other managers inactivity within their Game World. This was echoed in the numerous focus groups that we have held over the past few months. It has been suggested to change the required login of once every 30 days within Game Worlds to 21 days for example. However, after much discussion we have decided that this would not work because for example an inactive manager might change from logging in once every 30 days to the newly required once every 21 days. Due to this we are looking to give each manager an activity rating and this was be based on their actions within the game. If a managers activity rating drops too low they will be removed from the Game World.
  22. I like this idea and i'm going to flag it up in our next meeting when we discuss future improvements.
  23. Changes are currently being made for example to the 3-5-2 so that wingbacks can play in the formation. Please keep the feedback coming as this will make the game better and more realistic.
  24. Constructive feedback whether positive or negative is very welcome as we can act on it but it's when this isn't offered that we can't act.
