Stuart Pearce steered Manchester United to victory against fierce rivals Chelsea.

Manchester United beat Chelsea 3 - 2 in their Division 1 fixture.

Zabaleta scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

özil and Agüero were also amongst the goalscorers.

pleased to be scoring more than one goal a game for a change, but certainly not too pleased about getting pulled back from 3 nil up two games running

  2. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread

Poor Norwich City' date=' taken and left after a few days.

However, Manchester City accepted my bid for Suarez (RVP+Welbeck) and then left his team. Now the new manager is obligated to complete the deal with me or not? I don't know how it work in english forum.[/quote']

i'd say not, can't really expect a new manager to go by anothers deal, doesn't really make any sense.

Hi guys' date=' used to have Blackpool in this league when it first started, nice to see them in the top league.

Hve taken over QPR,decent squad to work with, nice to be back:)[/quote']

Stoke City appoint Notts County manager

Basnandez has been appointed Stoke City manager' date='

after being at Notts County since the start of the GW.

Notts County are being left at 1st position in division 3,

having players of pretty much 50% high rated and 50%

    young talents.

Hope the manager taking over can win division 3;)

    [/quote']

glad to see the open slots filled and goodluck to there new managers, gotta admit was a little worried when i logged in yesterday and saw three clubs on offer in the top division

currently 5 points ahead at the top of the table, hard match coming up though on sunday against chelski.

  4. Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

some interesting games today, thought the highlight of the switzerland ecuador match was clark carlise(the genius that he is:rolleyes:) saying that he didn't realise that the ecuador team was so strong as he'd been watching jackson martinez play in the europa league and couldn't believe he couldn't get in there starting lineup, wonder why that was heh clark...

honduras against france game was disgraceful, don't know how they didn't end up having more men sent off just glad there was a strong enough ref in charge and he actually punished the right players, i mean i honestly thought for a second that pogba was in real trouble after palacios and that other guy(think it was the wigan player) trampled allover him while he was on the deck

beckeles, and garcia(2nd half sub) both should of walked in my opinion aswell neither of them even slightly interested in playing the ball and could of caused some serious damage with the reckless tackles they were throwing around

and najar gesturing for a booking a few minutes into the game was tasteless, glad its been an isolated incident so far this world cup and personally think anyone who does that should be carded themselves

all in all its a shame they can't be kicked from the tournament

argentina bosnia first half was pretty poor but certainly came to life in the second half once both teams went to there normally used formations,

do want bosnia to do well just because its there first appearance and think they gave a pretty good account of themselves all things considered and hopefully they will still qualify from there group behind argentina, most impressive player on the pitch for bosnia i felt was besic,

really didn't put a foot wrong all game and they certainly looked more threatening after they went two up top i mean they had a few wild shots here and there but overall it looked like they've got a solid foundation to build from

  5. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread

bit of a mixed bag at the start of the season so far for norwich, drew the first game 1-1 with spurs, then lost away to coventry 2-0 and in saturdays game...

Stuart Pearce steered Norwich City to victory against Tranmere Rovers.

Norwich City outclassed Tranmere Rovers and beat them 3 - 1 in their Division 1 fixture.

Martínez scored a brace and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Ménez was also on the scoresheet for his side.

  6. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread

Stuart Pearce was unable to prevent a Sunderland defeat to Fulham.

Sunderland slumped to a 3 - 2 defeat against Fulham in their Division 1 fixture.

Walker and Willian were amongst the goalscorers.

proper see-saw game, took the lead in the 51stmin, then lost it in the 52nd, went behind in the 53rd ,pulled it back in 77th, and finally lost the game after an 86th min strike from leiva lucas, really struggling to find any type of form with this sunderland team

  7. Re: Official England Thread

needs to either play rooney upfront or drop him, personally don't see why england are so rigid when it comes to this 4-2-3-1 formation as its clearly not working for them especially when they could of used the same players and gone 4-4-2 or a 4-4-1-1 and been much more effective and a more well balanced team across the pitch because having rooney on the left is a total waste highlighted in tonights fixture by how baines was totally exposed against candreva and darmian

personally would of liked to of seen gerrard-hendo in the middle with sterling & welbeck/lallana on the flanks with rooney and sturridge up top rotating, one dropping one running, think it would of kept a much better shape, with barkley coming on around the 60/65min mark for whoever wasn't performing out of sturridge/rooney, but can't see it happening personally,

  8. Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

disappointed to see the hosts getting such an advantage from the officals in tonights fixture, don't know what the ref can say about not sending neymar off after that elbow/forearm to the side of mod's head, certainly can't claim that he didn't see him(thats neymar not seeing mod), even in normal time you clearly see that isn't the case

wonder if it was reversed the ref would of been so forgiving.

saying that though croatia have gotta drop pletikosa, you can argue neymars shot was unsighted and as far in the corner as it could of been but realistically he should of stopped it and oscars goal even though the run was good a national team keeper shouldn't be getting beat by a toe-poke along the ground from outside the area

don't even wanna start on the penalty call, really hope brazil don't even get out of there group, it would be hilarious,(even though i know it probably won't happen) way too many big-heads or atleast come across as arrogant,

only shining lights from tonights games i thought were oscar for brazil did a real shift (pretty much the only player i actually like in there starting 11 bar maybe thiago silva) and croatia's sime vrsaljko very impressed with him especially considering he was playing in his second position

also think gustavo's dodgy porn stash deserves a mention, must of lost a bet or something(i hope)

  9. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread

Stuart Pearce steered Sunderland to victory against Norwich City.

Sunderland beat Norwich City 1 - 0 in their Division 1 fixture.

álvarez scored the winner for Sunderland and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

first win in 8, hopefully this will be a turning a point and not just a blip

did however pick up yet another injury vlad chirches out for three days

  10. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread

Stuart Pearce steered Manchester United to victory against Middlesbrough.

Manchester United beat Middlesbrough 1 - 0 in their Division 1 fixture.

De Gea had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

özil was on the scoresheet for his side.

pretty costly win though, lost busquets for 11 days with an injury and vidal's gone for a game after getting sent off

did however manage to move back into pole position by a point after sunderlands result went in my favour

  11. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread

one more transfer shuffle for sunderland, bit of a risky one but hopefully it'll pay off

in = kevin de bruyne out = leo baptistao+mario lemina

probably try and grab atleast one of those two lads back as soon as there t.b's drop but with my poor form in the league thought it was a decent gamble to improve my first team over my reserves, but i guess i'll have to wait and see if it pays off.

  12. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread

Stuart Pearce earned a draw with Sunderland against Crystal Palace.

The match ended 3 - 3 between Sunderland and Crystal Palace in a thrilling Division 1 encounter.

Mkhitaryan scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Yilmaz was also on the scoresheet for his side.

was three nil up after about 20mins but then my lads must of thought it was pipe and slippers time:rolleyes: and a quick double from gervinho(a goal each side of the break) soon destroyed that, taider smashed in the equaliser in the 77th min.

    in transfer news

got two deals sorted(as i'm the only bidder)

zuniga is being swapped for walker, mainly down to he didn't play much napoli last season(not sure if injury or bad form) but walkers younger and played a lot of games last season so made sense to me

other done deal is khacheridi for chirches, like khac' but can't see him going too much higher if any if he stays with kyiv,(watch him move now to a top club) and chirches seems like a solid lad with a lot of potential so figured i'd take the jump

other two deals which both have other clubs involved is for edin dzeko and borges willian, hopefully unless the "chairman values" and totally squewed somewhere down the line i should have both these players aswell as my offers do look substancially larger but not counting any chickens till they are on my squad list.

  13. Re: Which ex-player would you want back today?

theres alot to pick from in many different positions, i mean really you could pick an entire new 11 from past greats but with united's current messed up defence it would have to be the mighty jaap stam hands down in my opinion one of the best center backs to of ever played in the premiership

  14. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread

    rochdale

    85 -78 - 80 - 84 - 80 - 82 - 78 - 80 - 82 - 84 - 82

    man united

    91 - 89 - 93 - 89 - 82 - 87 - 91 - 91 - 87 - 88 - 90

those are the lineup ratings, stats 52% possesion united, 12 shots on target to rochdales 5

yet somehow rochdale win, these are the kind of results that do my head in, now i know the usual "well anything can happen in football" excuse is used but seriously these results pop up far too often and i'm not just saying it because its against me, last night i played a game with another of my teams cork city, who have an average team rating of 80ov i beat a barcelona team who had an average rating of 95ov 3-1 how does this happen? it makes no sense what so ever

have no issue with the losing part as i wouldn't even play if i only won as thats boring but when the results seem to be totally random it just detracts from the games value big time.

  15. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread

I need to stop winning on penalties.... I need solid wins.

I've drawn Manchester City. I hope I pull a Blackburn.

well played, stronger team put out on the night wins, injuries killing me choice wise, wasn't at all a shock as all starts were in derby's favour aswell as my keeper getting m.o.m which is never a good thing

  16. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread

comfortably better in every stat and had the ball in the net 3 times, (2 goals ruled out)

just guess it wasn't my night tonight

take nothing away from stoke though as a wins a win

Stuart Pearce was unable to prevent a Manchester United defeat to Stoke City.

Manchester United slumped to a 2 - 1 defeat against Stoke City in their Division 1 fixture.

Vidal was on the scoresheet for his side.
