  1. Who are some centerbacks rated 84-87 and who could still rise?
  2. The thing I want to strengthen is my defense. Any suggestions for defenders 84-87?
  3. I was able to pick up Danny Ward off free agency so that helps the goalkeeper situation a bit.
  4. I'm playing as Huddersfield Town who is playing in the 3rd division. Here's the squad I inherited is partially uploaded in the attachments. The rest is uploaded in the next comment. I figure I will need a squad of about 87-84 to be promoted. I like to keep 22-25 players to rotate them and factor for injuries. Who do I need to sell and who should I keep?
  5. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion What about a rise for John Anthony Brooks?
  6. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions What about a rise for Charlie Austin? What about Andre Wisdom?
  7. Re: Buy, Sell or Keep Thread? Should I go ahead and cut my losses on Manuel Lanzini or hold on to him and hope he can transfer to a European team this summer?
  8. Re: TomOwen's Risers Thread Matt Hedges - D© - FC Dallas - 24 - 80 - 82 Matt Hedges has risen to 82 so you can add him to the completed risers. Also, when do you think you'll have the forwards and midfielders up?
  9. Re: New teams new legacies I like this league
  10. Re: The Best Talent of 10k A couple of guys in MLS to watch: Axel Sjoberg, started two out of three games (180 minutes) so far for the Colorado Rapids. Matt Polster, started three out of four games and was subbed in for a fourth (266 minutes) so far for the Chicago Fire.
  11. Re: Major League Soccer Risers --2015 Colorado Rapids Bobby Burling, 30, D© 79 ----------->80 Axel Sjoberg, 24, D© 70 ------------>75 Lucas Pittinari, 23, DM ©, M(RC) 82->83 Dominque Badji, 22, F© 73----------> 75 Burling is getting plenty of playing time so far this season. Sjoberg, although a rookie, has already started twice. Pittinari has played every minute of the season so far. Badji should get plenty of playing time as long as Gabriel Torres keeps misfiring.
  12. Re: Major League Soccer Risers --2015 Columbus Crew SC Waylon Francis, 24, D(L) 82 ---------------> 83 Mohammed Saeid, 24, M(LC) 77 ----------> 80 Kristinn Steindorsson, 24, AM,F (RL) 78 --> 80 Justin Meram, 26, AM, F (RL) 80 ----------> 81 Waylon Francis, I'm sure will make Costa Rica's Gold Cup team this summer. Saeid and Steindorsson appear to be adapting well to MLS from the Swedish leagues. Meram already has one of Columbus's three goals they've scored this year.
  13. Re: Major League Soccer Risers --2015 New York City FC One of the new teams in the league this year. This team though will have a few young players that will be set for some rises. Shay Facey, 21, D(RC), 75 ----------> 76 Mix Diskerud, 24, M(RC),AM© 84 ---> 85 Patrick Mullins, 23, F© 75 -----------> 77 Khiry Shelton, 21, F© 70 ------------> 73 Facey, a loan product from Manchester City, will keep seeing playing as a substitute and sometime starter. He should see enough time to get a rise. Mix finally gets his 85 if he makes the U.S. Gold Cup squad, as expected. Mullins will see plenty of time this year as mostly a sub, but an occassional starter as well. Shelton will see plenty of time with both NYCFC and with the US U-23 team as it tries to qualify for the Olympics this year. If the U.S. continues to have striker problems, you may see Klinsmann take a look at these two (and a bunch of others in MLS).
  14. Re: Major League Soccer Risers --2015 I'm doing these a team at a time. The format is name, age, position, current rating and then projected rating. Chicago Fire This is easily the worst team in MLS, but there are decent players to be had. Joevin Jones, 23, D,DM,M(L) 77 ------> 79 Matt Polster, 21, D,DM© 70 ---------> 75 Harry Shipp, 23, AM (RLC) 78---------> 78 Michael Stephens, 25, M(RLC) 78-----> 79 This is a team with some pretty slim pickings. Jones, Polster, and Stephens are proving to be pretty consistent starters this early in the season. Shipp is probably the one player of actual quality on this team, particularly as Mike Magee stays hurt and Nigerian DP Kennedy Igboananike hasn't been impressive.
  15. This is my first attempt at doing a ratings thread, but here it is. First, a little bit about Major League Soccer. It is the top flight soccer league in the U.S. and Canada and has 20 teams in it this year. The quality of play isn't as good as the more established European leagues and it probably even isn't as good as emerging nations such as Japan and Mexico. However, it is the league that is producing some of the new young talent in the U.S. and is starting to get global attention. The league started up in early March and will run until about December or so when the MLS Cup Final is played. All in all, 12 teams will make the MLS Cup playoffs. A unique to MLS rule is a soft salary cap of $3M or so; although teams can sign up to 3 Designated Players who don't against it and "homegrown" players and Generation Adidas players don't count against it as well. Generation Adidas is a MLS and US Soccer program to encourage young prospects to either leave college soccer early or skip it altogether and enter the MLS Superdraft. Instead of focusing on every single player, I will focus on risers. Although the ratings cap is 85, there are lots of bargains to be had for either squad players or teams looking for promotion in lower leagues.
  16. Re: North American League I would like to join if a team becomes open. I like the concept of a multiple division US-based league.
  17. Re: 10k RISER I would love to play. Username: kboyd8628740
  18. I'm playing as the Seattle Sounders and I want to build some squad depth and possibly pick a player or two I can use for the upcoming season. Should I buy Sebastion Giovinco (90 rated, just signed by Toronto FC) just to keep him away from my rivals and then sell after the season? Would Benoit Cheyrou (87 rated, just signed by Toronto FC) be a good depth signing?
  19. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Sido Jombarti -- Defender from League Two's Wycombe Wanderers, sitting at the top of the league, played 2430 minutes and rated 70.....seriously?
  20. I'm playing again as Seattle Sounders and I got a bid in from SSC Napoli for 6.3M for Eduardo Vargas. He's worth 5.3M. I have 9.8M in the bank already. Should I cash out and upgrade, especially given that he plays for QPR, or hold on to him?
  21. I'm playing as Seattle Sounders and I have a transfer bid in from Red Bull Salzburg for 5.4M and he's valued at 4.8M, but I paid 5.7M for him. He's mostly a benchwarmer/depth player. I have 9.8M in the bank now with three matches left. Should I do the deal or not?
  22. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Go me, I have both of them!
  23. I manage the Seattle Sounders FC in one of the American Soccer Leagues. I own Clint Dempsey with a rating of 90, however, given that he plays in MLS (which tops out at 85); he won't be rising anymore and only has one way down. I'm thinking offering him as part of a P/E deal to Arsenal in exchange for Danny Welbeck who also is rated at 90 but with much better potential and should probably rise at least a point by the end of the Premier League campaign. It would only make me come out of pocket 2M, thereby taking care of a needed roster change and leaving me some cash left over for other needs. Should I offer the deal or not?
  24. 23 year old Welshman defender who plays for Newcastle United, which has been a consistent mid-table to top half team in the Premier League. He's started 11 games and only subbed out once so far this season. Played 972 minutes so far in the season and even scored a goal in the League Cup. http://us.soccerway.com/players/paul-dummett/209640/ He also maybe capped by either England or Wales, most likely Wales. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/paul-dummett-set-wales-competitive-8109714 He's rated 82 and I can see him rising at least 2-3 points before the end of the season, if not sooner.
