  2. Re: The Intercourse, General Banter Thread.
  3. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Shorpe fire sale! Agreed deal with Notts County so need to raise some cash! So here is an opportunity for some bargains and for those who complain there are never players available for cash. A lot of my team has really really low CV so many of the players represent immediate profit and most are nice risers to get hold of in this setup! Please take a minute to look as there are some real bargains in there!! Especially Tkachev, Mwanga, Navratil, Prijovic, Fernandez and Cisse . Plus Iv saved you a lot scouting time. Offer a decent amount over CV or I will accept external to spite you! Predicted rises are in red. GUATELLI, Andrea Gk 28 83 £1.8M Had broken through for Zurich as first choice and was looking at a nice rise but got dropped recently. +0 FERNANDEZ, José Luis LM/Wing 23 82 £2.0M SOLD, Arsenal Signed by benfica this season but not played yet. Was signed on the back of strong performances for racing in argentina and has an international cap! May rise depending on which thread you read (based on his racing stats) but certainly a talent! +2/+0 JUELSGARD, Jesper LB/LM 22 82 £2.1M Broke through at start of season for FC Midtjylland in denmark and played every minute! Will rise nicely again at end of season. +3 GERMANY, Gaël LB 28 81 £1.1M Dropped recently by AC Arles-Avignon, so another rise is unlikely now +0 MKRTCHYAN, Karlen CM 22 80 £1.2M Signed in april (their start of season) by ukraine side Metalurg Donestk whos first lineup is 85, is a starter so far in the new season only 5 games old in ukraine so looks likely to get a good rise by the end. Regular for Armenia as well which helps. +3 NAVRATIL, Jan CM 21 80 £1.2M 21 year old broke through for Sigma Olmonoc in Czech Republic at start of season. Played every minute! Nice rise again for him. +4 PURCHER, Dominic LB 22 80 £1.2M Has become a starter in recent months for Sturm in Denmark, who have a decent lineup of 85s, in for a small rise certainly more if he continues as he has been. +2 CISSE, Fousseyni CF 21 80 £1.1M Played every minute for Le Mans, another young talent from them. Has played for france U20 several times. However Le mans are in div2, do still have some high rated players up to 87 and cisse certainly has potential only 21. +4 TKACHEV, Sergey LM/CM 21 80 £1.2M Similar to mkhrytan signed in april and has featured in all games for metallist (some as subs) in the new season, assisting a few. However Metalist are a big team in ukraine not far behind Dynamo kiev and shaktar with some 89s in their lineup so potential for a huge rise. +4 ADU, Enoch DM/CM 20 80 £1.7M Another dane who has featured every minute for Norselljand this season, 83 is their average starter. Only 20 again. +2 HAAS, Maximilian CB/DM 25 78 £600k Former bayern munich player who has signed for middlesborough in janurary, hasnt played yet really. +0 PALLOIS, Nicolas LB 23 78 £670k Sub for Valciennes in Ligue 1. However has potential as his rating is very low for their team (87ish generally) but unlikely to rise this time round due to only having about 16 appearances. +0 MWANGA, Danny CF 19 78 £900k SOLD Arsenal Was picked as the first in the draft system! Got better and better but has been substituted a few times recently, team is 83 rated generally. Very decent talent who I had to outbid Elliot to get and Iv bought him in much less competitive setups as quick as flash, Sean getting him ahead of me in the intercourse if I remember correctly. +3 PRIJOVIC, Aleksandar CF 21 77 £520k Broke through in february for Sion in switzerland just after their rating changes as well, scoring and assisting quite a lot. Only rated 77 and looks to be in for a big big rise as first team are rated 84. +4
  4. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread The news feed is about to get busy! Also my shortlist is about 700, and I thought mine was long! Tranmeres has got to be up there.
  5. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Shorpe find themselves quietly in a very nice position in the league at this nearly halfway stage.
  6. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Late equaliser conceded after reasonably dominating in top of the table clash which results in a 1-1 draw. Got the birmingham job offer which im obviously rejecting (never accepted one on sm). Will release them soonish.
  7. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Yep good game mate. Didnt particularly fancy this fixture with yourself on a cheeky run, away as well so very happy to take the victory. Lisandro and Misimovic with the goals. Leaves Shorpe well clear of 2nd place. Best of luck for the season fella!
  8. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread following a 3-0 away win now a 6-0 demolition? Quagliarella with a hatrick Cassano with a brace Lisandro with a goal. Puts me one point of first but with a massive goal difference! Double anyone else in div2.

  10. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Hoping to continue the great start tomorrow. Also soon to reach (alongside georgeECFC) a total of 300 manager rep points which is pretty impressive. It isnt possible to have more rep points than me and george have as at some point they used to limit it to 150 (I think) for a while so managers who joined early enough were able to reach that just, and since then they removed the limit and now it seems you gain +1 each week indefinitely. Cassano and Abate played for Italy both getting assists so pretty happy with that. Also Dean do you have major selection headache when it comes to your forwards for italy? Rossi, Pazzini, Cassano, Quagliarella all being 91s?
  11. Re: Division 5 Challenge - Histon Update Right so no update for a while but comp was out of action so wasn't feasible however things have been going well! Firstly Emil Milkovic mentioned above did get his rise to a very nice 78. Also they finally released a whole load of new leagues that they are reviewing including scotland, turkey and netherlands. Have immediately bought a few players from these areas, was tempted to splash out on a 75 (erick torres) but it would be my entire budget! He did get a very nice rise though. transfers so far are below As for how the games have actually been going, they have been tremendous. Forget how easy it can be when im playing only in 106! Playing 3-5-2 with hard tackling and playmaker /targetman and its working a treat (switch to 3-4-1-2 counterattack, attacking etc if losing/drawing at 60).This is a standard setup I use in a lot of setups if im short of ideas as it is long term proven and I know what your thinking everyone says that, but I have used it for 5 years in many many setups. It is especially effective against unmanaged sides. Its similar to Sops setup where he sticks steadfastly to his tactics knowing they will pay off long term. Using pm/tm as my players on loan are so high rated in comparison so giving them more time on the ball is going to be key. Martin (80) has 9 assists from midfield in 10 games. Also in my last game achieved a massive 72% possession, not sure what the record is but that is very decent. Also have managed to squeeze through in both cups and it gives me a very nice revenue boost considering 100k is a huge amount for myself.
  12. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Shorpe win with a very decent 3-0 away against dom latouches Newcastle who were previously 3rd I think. Good game fella. Leaves Shorpe still in 2nd place, with just the one loss but barnsley continue in 1st with 29 points being the highest amount of points for any team in the league. Also Lisandro who was taking my corners, scores from a corner and then in the match report there is only 2 assists and not 3 . . .
  13. Re: -||Eredivisie Ratings-By Kunasher and Jor||- Alright guys. On the topic of steklenburg any chance of a 91 these ratings? Very optimistic I know but he used to be a 91 before he got injured and went to second choice for a bit (about two years ago) and got dropped because of that. So possibly with his international appearances that he didnt have then and long term consistency they just might . . . Not sure if he was playing absolutely amazing back then but it perhaps shows they have lowered their max rating for the dutch league. Also I do hope he goes to united. De gea in my view is very risky and stek is proven in big games (good world cup). Ferguson said he made a mistake not getting a good experienced keeper in sooner after schmeichel before vds so im hopeful. Pretty certain stek has said he was leaving this summer a few times to somewhere else and is trying to force it as it is best chance for a big move.
  14. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Shorpe win 2-1 against wigan. Was losing but aggressive switch at 45 paid off. How do barnsley keep winning? Did not see them as title contenders with their team and previous record but well done so far andrii (good to see you active again as well being an oldie) clearly have hit the nail on the head with a good setup!
  15. Re: The Intercourse, General Banter Thread. Left. Havent set tactics since season 1! Been Inactive and also setup seems to have fragmented somewhat. All the best guys.
  16. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread
  17. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Shorpe are set to complete the signing of matteo brighi from crewe. A fee of promising uruguayan rb adrian gunino and about 7 million was agreed several weeks ago and the smfa have now lifted their transfer ban and ratified the deal. Brighi comes in to fill a weak spot in the team replacing on loan n'koulou 87 in dm in what manager crawford hopes will be that bit extra in the div2 promotion race.

  19. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Cant say i agree with the chris hargreaves business. Certainly funny and its fine to take the mic for a bit (thats what most of this forum is!) but it has reached levels were it is clearly bullying, whichever way anyone argues it.

  21. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread
  22. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Yeah iv done tests with friendlies and was going to look at testing formations but its not worthwhile doing as I quickly found near identical setups still provided results that were different by up to 7 goals. Its very randomised but to be fair it needs to be to a certain extent as football is like that and even football manager engines are random as you will know if you run a cup final twice (ie cheating!) you can get a more preferred result.
  23. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread
  24. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Woops. . . Only gone and forgot to put the first team back in! Im going too have too set some sort of reminder in the future. Good transfer policy Stuart, I like it. I didn't bid on Vistenets though but could get a reasonable rise.
  25. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Signed Delac for 8 million. Bit overpriced but it was in cash and at this point with plenty of players too work with I'm now starting too long too build some long term talent into the squad. He joins the great Shorpe goalkeeping academy with the likes of Kraft which is currently 15 strong and more coming in!
