Thanks Sean Racing have seen that everyone has a tonne of strikers and themselves only have 1 and a bit Therefore my next pick is Fabio Quagliarella. Surprised he was still on the board considering some of the other strikers being chosen.

English Clubs Caught Up In Betting Scandal

The Argentine legend, along with Daniel Johansson, are both looking at prision sentences after being caught up in a betting scandal.
The Times has learnt that 2 clubs in the English division have been caught up in a betting scandal with a Swedish crime syndicate.
It is believed that Sunderland manager, Diego Maradona, and Shorpe United manager, Daniel Johansson are both involved in this illict event after the managers met up with the gang, who call themselves the "wolfpack brotherhood", back in their native Sweden during the close season. Reports have suggested that throughout the course of the season both teams threw matches in order to make large amounts of money, through betting on unlikely outcome on matches, and this money would go back to the criminal gang with the two managers recieving a slice of the profit. Although there isn't an offical figure yet, sources estimate that the two managers may have won over £1,000,000 on league games alone.
A police investigation will be carried out in the next week and if the two managers are found guilty of such actions then the result could lead to both managers being heavily fined along with prision sentences of up to 5 years. The swedish police have also called for the two managers to be deported back to their homeland if they are found guilty. Despite these major claims against them, both managers have so far been unavailable for comment.

I don't agree with giving Higuain 2 stars just beacuse he banged in 3 goals. I mean, he does perhaps deserv 1 star for that, but come on, what did he really bring to the game? Besides, there were some pretty easy goals he put out there.

Berlusconi himself has said that Milan will 4-5 new players and that one of the players will be a world class player like CR9. Sanchez may not be this world class player, but he is atleast of the other 4 players Berlusconi is gonna buy. He would be very good as an option to Pato/Dinho and after perhaps 1/2 years he can take over Dinho's position.

Bail's Division One Transfer's Of The Turn
    Wednesday, 16th June 2010

    Turn Two

Here i will name just a handfull of the best transfer's from division one in turn two.

Jose Bosingwa, Zenit to Everton, £11.6m

Bosingwa who failed to gain a start at Chelsea last season has now arrived back in the Premier league with Everton, Fercasti payed just 11.6m for the Portugese defender, a bargain for such a world class player.

John Obi Mikel, Bayern Munchen to Portsmouth, £4.3m + Tabanou & El Kaoutari

Pompey came out successful in their bid for former Chelsea midfielder Mikel after close competition from Blackburn, Swansea and Sunderland. The Nigerian man will link up with Van Bommel in central midfield and should form quite a partnership.

Emmanuel Adebayor, Internazionale to Manchetser United, £21m + Kuszczak

Manchester United will be a force to reckon with this season as they increased the fire power upfront with Togo international Adebayor agreeing a move to Old Trafford after being sold from their rivals City at the start of last season.

Alou Diarra, Bordeaux to Sunderland, £4.1m + Planus

Sunderland continue their activity in the transfer market with Diarra named as the next arrival after the Frenchmen impressed at Bordeaux, Sunderland did have to let Planus go in order to secure the central midfielders signature tough, will he prove to be worth the price?

Michael Carrick, Roma to Blackburn Rovers, £2.8m + Boumsong & Celozzi

Blackburn further strengthen their midfielder with England national player Carrick completing his move ahead of signing for Swansea. Blackburn had a poor start to the season losing their first game but it will take a lot to get through both De Jong and Carrick in their games to come.

So now both Gallas and Carrasso are injured and Squillaci took over Gallas place during todays tranings in the ''first squad'' team. Malouda replaced Gourcuff and Govou was still in the first XI squad. As I said before, I want balance in the team. I want a triple duo to the left consisting Evra-Diaby-Malouda and to the right, Sagna-Gourcuff-Ribery. In this way, France wouldn't be to predictable and they would be very dangerous. They currently only use the left-flank really to attack and it's way to predictable and thus, they'll come noweaher. Uruguay stopped the left-side brilliantly by giving Maxi Perreira more defensivly instructions than usual and by dropping one CM to the right-side often. If France used both flanks and used a Gignac as the lonely striker, a.k.a target man, they would torn up every defence in the World Cup. Cheeeeeezzz, you are so frustrating, Domenech!!!

Roberto Jimenez: - 13th June Had a great season on loan with Zaragoza, but they couldn't make a permanent deal and Atletico, who he had a contract with, were looking to sell him permanent. Keep Haruna, he is an international and very talented. Sell Sow though. Nothing special about him really...
In France, there are rumors about Gourcuff being ''frozen out'' by the his teammates in the squad. Especially the older ones in the squad are the who are freezing him out.
According to Liberation, players like Henry, Anelka and Gallas to name a few, have most power in the squad and Domenech always listen to them, hence why Gourcuff, who previously was the man at set-pieces, during the autumn and forward was stripped-off from the set-pieces and instead Henry, one of the guys from the older generation start to take all the set-pieces, although he was horrible at it. But during the WC preperation, Gourcuff got more and more power in the sqaud and Henry less, beacuse Henry got benched and stripped-off the captain band and it seemed like Domenech took Gourcuff's side on this case, but during the last traning-game against China, there were some controversies about the set-pieces and this lead to all these rumors.
There are rumors saying that they older guys in the squad doesn't like Gourcuff beacuse he isn't so good, and to me and many others that pure BS. What has Anelka and Henry done lately???!!!
Others are saying that he isn't ''one of the gang''. L'Equipe has been talking to some players and they say Gourcuff is to shy and quiet. He likes to discuss tatics like a coach does, instead of having fun
Toulalan denies the rumors, by saying ''the coach decides and we listens''. But take in notice that he is one of the more ''shy'' players in the squad and close friend with Gourcuff.

Re: Ratings Italian Serie A vs. German 1. Bundesliga
Well, now the German changes are done and I think this thread needs a short update. All in all I'm quite happy with the changes and they mainly confirmed my view on this matter. It seems that the standing of the Bundesliga has increased.
    Some IMO unexpected rises
    Lahm 93 > 94
To me Lahm has played like a 94 player for several years now. Finally he got his increase. Mainly because of Bayern Munich's good performances this season - especially in CL. But this goes hand in hand with the good performances of all German teams in the international competitions in the last ~3 years.
    Schweinsteiger 92 > 93
A few months ago this player has been called as one of the overrated players in SM terms. And I would have agreed. Now he showed mainly in the second half of this season why he is a 92. And now he increased to 93 (to be again overrated?). He seems to be the "German Rooney" regarding SM ratings. Just showed one season why he deserves his current rating and then gets an increase (though Rooney hasn't got his 97 yet).
Honestly I never expected him to rise even with Bayern reaching the CL final. NEVER.
    Özil 90 > 91
Of course he is a talented player and he has the potential to be a 93+ player once. But I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have got this rise in former times as in the second half of the season he hasn't been as impressive as in the first half. Though he will be regular for Germany I (like Phil, too) rated the chances for his rise very small.
    Khedira 89 > 90
I could write here the same that I wrote above about Özil.
    Dzeko 91 > 92
This guy has been discussed here earlier. And I posed the question if he doesn't deserve a rise. And honestly I have to say that the arguers against this rise - mainly Reddevilfc (if I remember correctly) - have almost convinced me, that a rise to 92 might be too early now though he has been the outstanding player in a bad performing Wolfsburg team.
And of course many other players below 90 that got higher rises as I expected like Hummels (87 > 89), Kroos (86 > 89), S. Bender (82 > 86) and many more.
So now the update regarding the table of the players rated 92 and above.
    Germany
    96
    -
    95
    1 / Ribery
    94
    2 / Robben, Lahm
    93
    3 / Gomez, Schweinsteiger, Mertesacker
    92
7 / Klose, v. Bommel, Olic, Frings, Demichelis, van Nistelrooy, Dzeko
Total number of players rated >=92
    13
    Average rating of these players:
    92.77
Average rating of the 92+ players before the changes:
    92.85
As we see: At the amount nothing changed as there also have been some droppers who dropped out of this table (Tymoshuk, ze Roberto). And with van Nistelrooy one player dropped from 95 to 92. But I have to say Tymo and RVN definitely deserved their drops. ze deserved it if you only view the second half of the season.
And surprisingly the average rating of these players dropped and despite that I'm happy. So are these stats useless? I don't think so. As I said I rather agreed with the droppers than with the risers. But the main positive effects I saw at the lower rated players (Khedira, Özil, Hummels, ...) but it would be a hard work to include them there. So these stats only show the peak but nevertheless give a small reflection of each leagues.
Regarding the average ratings of the 92+ players I have also excluded RVN now as he already should have dropped in Spain and therefore falsify these stats a bit. So:
Average rating of these players without RVN:
    92.83
Average rating of the 92+ players before the changes without RVN:
    92.67
And we see: The value of these players rose.
