Lensois got a reaction from JinxMillion in Serie A - Analysis and Ratings
Re: Serie A - Analysis and Ratings
Some remarkable moves these past days in Serie A:
Milos Krasic - CSKA Moscow -> Juventus
Thoughts: Juventus has been trying to get him during the whole summer, but when the FIGC (Italian FA) made the stupid decision of only letting the clubs in Serie A buy one non-EU player per season, the Krasic deal looked to be cancelled, as Juventus tried to get Dzeko. After about 2 weeks of chasing Dzeko, Hoeness (Wolfsburg general manager) told the press that Dzeko ain't moving. Then Juventus got back to the Krasic track and after some days of negotiations, he was unveiled as a Juve player last weekend.
Contract: Five years deal.
Cost: 15M €
Alberto Aquilani - Liverpool -> Juventus
Thoughts: As Marchisio has been looking pretty tired after a long, hard season last year and with the World Cup games on his legs, many were thinking that Juventus should try and get a good option for him, as Juventus will most likely compete on 3 fronts. And why not bring in none other than Aquilani?! After the Juventus staff had an exam on Aquilani for a total of 2 days, he was finally unveild as a Juve player yesterday. Aquilani will most likely be a back-up option to Marchisio, but still should get many minutes. As a Milan supporter, I hope Aquilani stays injured, beacuse on his day, he is outstanding.
Contract: One year loan with an option of buying him for 16M € after this season.
Cost: Potientally 16M € if Juve decides to buy him.
Alessio Cerci - Roma -> Fiorentina
Thoughts: Cerci has stated that he wanted to leave Roma for good for some time now and was first rumored earlier this summer to Bari, but that move never happened, and many thought he would stay another year with Roma with only 1 year left on his contract. But then Fiorentina came into the big picture and after only less than a day of talks, Fiorentina annouced this signing just some hours ago. These young players of Fiorentina looks interesting: Cerci, Jovetic, Ljajic, Babacar and Carraro to name a few. The future looks bright at Firenze!
Contract: Four years deal.
Cost: 3M €
Paolo Castellini - Parma -> Roma
Thoughts: Last season, Roma didn't have a back-up to Riise, and during this summer they've been searching for a good back-up to Riise. Roma wanted to sign free-agent, Massimo Gobbi, who previously played for Fiorentina. Gobbi decided, against all costs to go to Parma instead and act back-up to Antonelli instead. That's were Castellini came in into the picture - With Roma not beeing so well funded with cash, they needed a cheap option and decided to loan Castellini for one year. Castellini, though, didn't have a good year last season at Parma, so this is a bit of a gamble Roma has taken.
Contract: 1 years deal with an option to buy him for 1.5M € after this season.
Cost: Potientally 1.5M €
Eder - Empoli -> Brescia
Thoughts: Eder, aka the magnician, won the topscorer league in Serie B with 27 goals. The striker attracted interest from well respected club in Italy like Juve, Inter and Milan, and even some decent clubs outside of Italy, but against all odds, he chose the Serie A newcomers for this year, Brescia. Eder has massive potential, and to be honest, if he delivers this season aswell, I'm sure he'll be playing for one of the bigger clubs in Europe next year.
Contract: 5 years deal.
Cost: 4.2M €
Alessandro Diamanti - West Ham -> Brescia
Thoughts: Diamanti, who is strongly connected to Livorno, is back in Italy after a year in London. Brescia shocked us all once again with this signing. It will be VERY interesting to see how the trio consisting Diamanti-Caracciolo-Eder will do upfront in a three-men-attack. Brescia have been very quiet in this transfer-window, but during the last days of it, they suprise us all with these two signings (Eder and Diamanti). Brilliant.
Contract: 5 years deal.
Cost: Undisclosed ~ Rumored to be around 5M €

THE HIGGY PIGGY BANK'S CHAMPIONSHIP
CHAMPIONSHIP CHECK - UP - TURN 22
With Mark lawrensen away on holiday many in 'The Higgy Piggy Banks Championship' were worried about what would happen to there famous and prestigious game by game preview of the division and the divisions big matches, but have no fear Bolton manager Ashh and Swansea Manager Aidan Radford will take charge of turn 22 , Ashh again along Southampton Legend and Sky Sports News Pundit Matthew Le Tissier are here to take over for turn 24 while championship leader Matty-avfc and possibly a co host will take the preview for turn 23.
Cardiff City vs Millwall
Positions = 19th vs 8th
Cardiff have a new manager and new ideas, but this is not for the first time this season. The start of the year also saw a new manager and now they are sitting 2nd bottom with only the hope of staying up to play for. With quite a large chunk of the season still to play the welsh team are 8 points adrift and new manager Dudeskin8 has a huge battle on his hands. Former England Stopper Ben Foster and Spanish hitman Solado who is on loan from last seasons division 1 runners up Sunderland are the two main men tonight. Last seasons division 3 winners Millwall are having a better season with the team looking at the possibility of play-offs and possibly division 1 football next season the mood at the club is very positive . Before a loss to Middlesborough on saturday the london club were on a 6 match unbeaten run in the league of which 5 were victorys. With the attacking line of Millwall also being very strong with the likes of 2nd top scorer in the league Gokhan Unal (17 goals in 17 games) and 26 year old former Ajax forward El Hamdaoui (10 goals in 16 games) there is no shortage of goals. The London club can also boast the likes of Adriano , Elia , Kransic and the rest in there ranks the list just goes on!
Player to watch: On loan Cardiff hitman Solado could make a big impact tonight. The spanish forward has been highlighted as the man to score the goals to pull them to saftey but can he produce the level of performance that is expected.
Ashh's Predicted result = Millwall Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Cardiff Win
Reading Vs Hull City
Positions = 15th vs 14th
Hull City's new boss Callum Hewett has grasped Divison 2 life so well, with a perfect start to his managerial reign at the KC Stadium. Hull have waited some time for it but after a spell of a poor managerial spells before Hewett's arrivals, he's now got the chance to use the quality players he's got at Hull and use them to there best and with a long way to go untill the end of the season there even a good shout for the play-offs. But he's only managed four games so we shouldn't get carried away just yet, but if he can keep up what he's done so far then they will be one of the best sides in the division. On the other hand there's Reading down in 15th, once again having a poor season despite having one of the squads to the division with manager Jefferen Suarez not getting the winning way with his Reading side despite big name players flowing through the gates of the Madejski Stadium. If you look at the league table then this game should be very tight but form would suggest otherwise, and i'm backing Hull City to keep up there recent form and sweep to victory over Reading.
Player to watch:
Hull City: Aquilani, Fletcher, Lucio
Reading: Veloso, Countinho, Abriel
Ashh's Predicted result = Draw
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Hull Win
West Bromich Albion vs Blackpool
Positions = 18th vs 3rd
There's something about the Blackpool side which just seems to beable to compete with the very best and push for a place in the automatic promotion places. They currently lie in 3rd, with there latest victory over bottom of the league Doncaster Rovers putting them into 3rd spot above Sheffield United. But despite being at the very top of the play-offs they run the risk of dropping out of the play-offs with so many teams a point or two behind them. The likes of Sheffield United, Middlesborough, Bristol City, Wolves & Millwall are two points of Blackpool in 3rd spot. Suprisingly and despite being in 3rd spot, Blackpool do have a negative goal difference with them being very prone to conceding goals, this just shows the story of what is tighter then any league in EC5579 history and that is Divison 2, nothing compares to it. On the other hand of the Division 2 fight West Bromich Albion are in the relegation zone once again and have got a real fight on there hands to keep there Division 2 status. They need a win in the next couple of games to put some pressure on Stoke City, Swansea & Reading and a win will certainly do that. But i don't feel that they stand a major chance tonight against Blackpool who are in full flow.
Player to watch:
West Bromich Albion: Moore, Giovinco, Rodwell
Blackpool: Elias, Ramirez, Nilton
Ashh's Predicted result = Blackpool Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Blackpool Win
Coventry City Vs Ipswich
Positions = 12th vs 10th
It's all gone quiet over there! Two mid table sides who could swing either way into both a relegation scrap which Swansea, Stoke, Hull & Reading have found themselves or they could both push for the play-offs. The days of Gadga are long gone at Coventry, despite Rick James's spell at the club which in all has been very good the magic touch of Gadga to transform the likes of Iaquinta & Boruc from half decent underperformers into quality players just isn't there, only few have that sort of touch and it's hard to come buy but Rick James will hope to eventually put his name alongside Gadga in the history books at the Ricoh Arena. Ipswich seem to be pulling off some suprise results and just adding to there total keeping them cleer of the relegation zone and giving them the foundations to pick up some form and push for the play-offs. I think this will be a very close game but i'm just going to go with Ipswich, despite them being slight outsiders with Coventry having home advantage, i fancy them to have the threat on the counter attack to give them the points.
Player to watch:
Coventry: Acosta, Brandao, Kardec
Ipswich: Goodwillie, Gaitan, Kouyate
Ashh's Predicted result = Draw
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Ipswich Win
Middlesbrough vs Sheffield United
Positions = 5th vs 4th
With both on the teams in the Division 2 playoff spots we could be in for a very intresting game here today. Middlesbrough have hit what seems to be like a bit of a purple patch in recent times with 4 wins in the last 5 outings. Players like Paraguyan Barrios and Italian D'Agostino will be important if Middlesbrough are going to get the win they want today but with a very thin looking first team (18 players) there doesnt seem to be much to call on for expierenced manager Angelina-Klaudia Ceccarelli. With a lack of real quality centre back in the team there is a noticeable weakness in the Boro defence and one that may benifit the prolific Shefield hitman Santa Cruz to add to his already impresive goal tally. Sheffield look the stronger team on paper aswell with a host of top league standered players in there first team , but with a current run of bad form which has seen there automatic promotion challange slowly fizzle out Sheffield may not perform aswell as they look.
Player to Watch: Santa cruz has been on fire this season with 18 goals and 17 assists in 19 games he is currently the best player in Division 2 in my opinion.
Ashh's Predicted result = Sheffield Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Sheffield United Win
Doncaster Rovers vs Swansea City
Positions = 20th vs 16th
Cazza Bones men really dont look to impresive this season. After 21 matches Doncaster have so far only managed to muster up 8 points and seem to be looking all but down. The team itself looks very poor with only Bellamy looking like a man that can cause a magic moment. Swansea managed by league faverouite SJ are also having a difficult time of things in the league. After being tipped for Automatic promotion the club based mainly on British and British based players is currently sitting 16th 3 points clear of relegation and with only 1 win in the last 5. However this has been put down to the absence of manager SJ and now hes back many pundits and fans alike are predicting that Swansea could be there or there abouts for a play off spot come the end of the season. Players like Giggs , Fellani and Arteta make it imposible to think they cant.
Player to Watch: He may be old at 36 but Giggs has still got it and with SJ in charge the welshman is under no presure to perform.
Ashh's Predicted result = Swansea Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Not Avalible
Preston North End vs Derby County
Positions = 2nd vs 9th
With Preston chassing down leaders Leicester City and Derby looking to break into the play-offs this battle looks to be an intresting one as both teams have something to play for. Preston under the management of Rob Walshie have impressed of late on the field and off with performances of diision 1 standered and signings of the likes of German Podolski and one of my former players Gary Cahill who should be a great player at this level. Derby have been on a bad run of late with only 1 win in the last 5 the play-off hopefuls are really going to have to buck up there ideas if there going to realise there dreams and push into Division 1. The squad includes the likes of England star Joe Cole and Golden Oldie Patrick Viera. The last time the two sides met was in a 1-1 draw and this again in my opinion is looking the most likely outcome.
Player to Watch: Joe Cole was the player all the fans called for at the world cup this summer and now on the books of Preston he has his chance to shine tonight on the domestic league followers.
Ashh's Predicted result = Preston North End Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Preston Win
Barnsley Vs Stoke City
Positions = 11th vs 17th
Barnsley's steam at the start of the season has worn off, but nethertheless Barnsley are quiet comfortable with beeing in 11th spot, well clear of the relegation zone they were tipped for at the start of the season. They've got a good chance of a win tonight against an underachieving side in Stoke City, Divison 1 football last season in which Stoke struggled has lead to Divison 2 football this season in which Stoke struggled. It is another thing that shows the quality of Divison 2 football, Wolves have done well but are only in 7th whilst Hull are in 14th but only after a very good run under Callum Hewett whilst Stoke are only out of the relegation zone because of poor seasons from West Brom, Cardiff & Stoke. It will be a very hard game for either side, more so for Stoke who are by far the underdogs for this game but that hasn't affected them in the past. There's three injuries for either side, so some fringe players will get called into action, Barnsley have Van Der Wiel, Markiet & Charles out. Whilst Stoke have Higginbotham, Wilkinson & Clement out through injury. For me this game will go to the most clinical and out of these two sides i can only see this being Barnsley.
Player to watch:
Barnsley: Victor, Nene, Ryazantsev
Stoke: Valbuena, Walcott, Afellay
Ashh's Predicted result = Stoke Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Barnsley Win
Wolves Vs Peterborough
Positions = 7th vs 13th
Wolves will think they have a good chance of the play-offs, Peterborough will think they have a reasonable chance. Both have been having good seasons in what could have been so different, Wolves will look to Stoke City of what could have happened in the first 21 games of the season whilst Peterborough will look to the likes of Cardiff City with a similar sort of squad of what situation they could be in at this stage of the season. But Wolves are just off the play-offs and under a lot of pressure to win this game and for them to hopefully get back in the play-offs. Peterborough on the other hand aren't under any sort of pressure to reach the play-offs there just happily picking up points and adding to there total, there now in a position where with a bit of luck they could reach the play-offs in 17 turns time when the season ends. A lot of hard work is being put into Peterborough and it's paying off on the pitch and they are making progress and now look quiet comfortable to retain there Divison 2 status come Season 3. In this game i'm going to predict a score draw in what should be a very good yet close game.
Player to watch:
Wolves: Adriano, Pizarro, Gameiro
Peterborough: Campbell, Sertic, Fulop
Ashh's Predicted result = Wolves Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Draw
Leicester City vs Bristol City
Positions = 1st vs 6th
They've been top for some time now but will tonight be the night that Leicester City finally fall from there perch at the top of the division and be pulled right back into the promotion race. With Preston only a point behind and the current play-off teams being 6 behind Leicester can't fall out of the Automatic promotion slot but the teams confidence may take a huge hit. Matty's men have only won 3 of the last 6 the other 3 were all losses and there lead at the top has been pulled back but with the qaulity of Cardozo , Palop , Pienaar , Milito , Pedro , Song .. the list is endless they can win any game against any opposition and thats why they've been leading the division for so long. There best players are all Division 1 quyality and when you have the England manager as your boss to people start to stand up and take notice. Bristol City on the other hand have hit form with 4 wins and 1 draw in the last 5 games. The club are sitting in 6th, the final play-off spot but with the manager on his summer holidays for the next week or so its up to the coaches to get the players through his absence. This game is all down to form vs Quality , Leicester have the quality but Bristol have the form its all down to tonight.
Player to watch: If he starts Miguel Danny of bristol will be key in the midfield. His mazy runs and quick passing may cause leicester some problems tonight.
Ashh's Predicted result = Leicester Win
Swansea Jack Predicted result = Bristol Win
I would just like to say thanks to Swanseajack as without him tonights post would have never been as big or as good quaylity so thanks
Lensois got a reaction from joepi in Lorenzo Tassi - Can He Do 'A Lukaku'?
Name: Lorenzo Tassi
Age: 15 (1995)
'Grow a talent, and sell him for a high fee after a few years'. That's how the smaller teams around this globe mostly gets their income, but in this case, nothing matters. Brescia may not have the best economy, but instead of selling Tassi for a high fee, they are keeping hold of him.
Tassi has been developing under the Rondinelle system (The Brescia academy), and has already been training with the A-squad at the age of 15. He has been developing in the right way and has already attract interests from perhaps the two biggest clubs in Italy, Inter and Milan. He, and the Brescia president, Fabio Corioni has quickly turned down both. Although both Inter's and Milan's bids were quite shockingly high for a player in this age (Inter's 2.5M € and Milan's 5M €), they've been rejected, as I said.
Fabio Corioni has already expressed Tassi as the new Baggio, and has stated that if Tassi keep playing like this, then he will have no problems whatsoever to get some first team action next season in Serie A. I also need to say that Tassi didn't want to leave Brescia when both Milan and Inter, so he has some heart for his club. This sounds abit like Roberto Baggio, don't it...?
I personally noticed this player under the Bannikov Tournament for U-16 kids earlier this summer (yes, he played with those who are 1 year older than him). He had an outstanding tournament playing in the role as the playmaker/fantasia, just like a certain Baggio. He impressed with me his vision and passes throughout the whole tournament. He and his Italy played very good football and beat Russia, Serbia and Ukraine, and came to the final where they faced, well erm... Belarus, and lost 2-1 against Belarus. Once again Tassi played great and if it weren't for that last minute goal from Belarus, Tassi may have had a gold-medal around his neck.
He has been dubbed the new Baggio and I can see why. He has no problems with the passes and has a great vision for the game. His primary role is beeing used as a playmaker right behind the striker, where he can use his these strengths. I believe he'll end up getting some chances in Serie A next season. Corioni is a strong man and is always getting as he wants. If he wants Tassi to play Serie A football, then I believe he'll get some too. I honestly believe we can end up seeing this player do 'the Lukaku'. I mean, he is 15 (even younger than Lukaku!), but he has a great chance of getting A-team football next season.
Lensois reacted to Gorskino10 in Shinji Kagawa (Young Japanese Kid on Trail at Barcelona and Real Madrid)
Shinji Kagawa (香川 真司, Kagawa Shinji?, born 17 March 1989 in Tarumi-ku, Kobe) is a Japanese football player. He is currently attached to J. League 2 side Cerezo Osaka.
On May 24, 2008 he made his international debut in a friendly. Japan won the match against Côte d'Ivoire with 1-0.
He has also represented Japan at youth level. He was a member of the Japan team for the 2008 Summer Olympics finals.
On 14 May 2009 it was announced that Kagawa would be undertaking trials at Barcelona and Real Madrid, subject to approval from his club.
Career Total 85 Played 33 Goals
Last year he scored 17 goals in 25 games and the year before scoring 16 in 35 so in 2 seasons 33 goals in 2 seasons from a midfielder with alot of clubs interested in him such as Real Madrid,Barcelona,Atletico Madrid etc.. he seems he will be another hot prospect for Japan also his height seems like a perfect match in styles with Paul Scholes as both players are 5 ft 7 and score quite a few goals. also he seems like Naoki Yamada who is smaller than Kagawa and hasnt really played many games or to have yet shown his talent, unlike Kagawa.

Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread...
Yeah, he is just over-rated and they want to sell him, but he's good a good contract and don't want to leave the club beacuse of that, despite Veh (Hamburg coach) has said it loudly to the press that he doesn't count on Rozenhal this season. And Besic (a Hamburger youngster) has been getting more starts than Rozenhal this season.
Sorry for going off-topic

Re: Serie A - Analysis and Ratings
Keep the ones in bold in my opinion.
He is a decent defender, nothing more. Fiorentina could easily buy better defenders if they want to. The max rating he'll get in his career (assuming he doesn't drastically improve) is 90. For now, he'll stay 89 though.
Lensois reacted to Stuart H in Official Manchester City Thread
Re: Official Manchester City Thread
Saw the game at the pub today hence no comments on here from me during the game about how good Joe Hart is. Anyway, my views on the game:
Joe Hart - I would like his babies
Defence - Richards let the side down. Bale ran him ragged down our right. His passing was also atrocious. I maintain he's good going forwards but away at Spurs he's going to have to defend and Zabaleta is better than him in that respect. Hope Boateng's back soon. The rest did well. Very impressed with both Toure and Kompany.
Midfield - I support the theory of the 3 'DMs' (Yaya and Barry played very much box-to-box against Valencia) however today it didn't work. SWP didn't have a position to play in and thus created nothing.
Forwards - Silva and Tevez were the only ones making chances and they linked up well. Problem was as they were making the chances, there was no-one to finish them.
Things to Change - Play 4312 with Silva behind Tevez and Adebayor/Balotelli. Then you're making chances and have players left over to finish them. Against stronger sides when the full-backs can't raid forwards 451 might be more appropriate to give the team some width going forwards.
Overall - More than I was expecting really.

This Week In 'n Out Transfers/Rumors From Serie A
Was kinda bored so I decided to give you the latest transfers/rumors in Serie A...
Giuseppe Sculli is very close in joining Inter. The 29-year old Kuyt-look-a-like (in terms of playing-style), will most likely complete the move once Balotelli lefts for City in a 30M € deal.
Rafinha completed his move to Genoa the other day and now it's K-P Boateng's turn to come to Genoa and Serie A. Genoa has been tracking him for a long time and now even Boateng has admitted that he will soon be a Genoa player. However, the only problem is that Vanden Borre, who was sent out on loan to Portsmouth this past season (K-P Boateng's current club), don't want to be included in the deal that will see him getting permanently signed by the English club. The deal should be finalized sooner or later in my opinion and the funny thing in this deal is that Milan will most likely loan Boateng from Genoa once he completes his move to Genoa. It's funny days at the moment for a Milan supporter....
Done deal: Hernanes to Lazio. The fee? From the reports I've heard, it's anything from 10M € ~ 15M €.
Giovinco has finally got the move he desired. The talented Italian youngster completed his loan-move with a view for Parma to buy half his contract of Juve after this season. Good deal by Parma, if Gio explodes at Parma, the fee of buying half his contract won't rise as both parts have agreed a 3M € tag already.
Acquafresca, a personal favourite of mine. He'll most likely gets his dream move back to Sardinia and Cagliari. Genoa and Cagliari are only hours/days from agreeing the deal. 9M € is the fee that it's has been rumored Cagliari will buy him for. Acquafresca has already turned down offers from Napoli and Lazio, as he wants first team football and his GF lives in Sardinia aswell.
Gaston Ramirez has, according to some reports, finalized the exam and is officially a Bologna player from now on. He has been chased by Villarreal, Real Madrid to name a few club, but instead of rooting away on the bench (atleast at Madrid he would), he takes the smart move and moves to a minor club and don't go for the money. A true professional here.
Zamparini (Palermo president) said earlier this week that Palermo will soon present two new midfielders. The club is eager to replace the has-been, Fabio Liverani and at the same time they want to add some depth in their squad as they'll compete in Europe aswell. The midfielders that has been rumored to join Palermo are: Leon Osman (Everton), Danilo Pereira (Benfica), Blaise Matuidi (ASSE) and Claudio Yacob (Racing Club). We'll soon find out who the two new arrivals will be.
Sampdoria has finally made their first purchase (atleast a player a player who can compete in the first-squad) in Stefano Guberti. Guberti, who spent half of the last season on loan at Samp from Roma, impressed during his last spell at Sampdoria. Sampdoria bough 50% of his contract from Roma for 1.5m €.
And now... Much Roma related stuffs.
Roma has been seeking a good back-up for Riise. As Roma will also compete in CL this season and the fact that they don't have a back-up for Riise at the moment, doesn't bother good. But now it seems like Roma will contact, Massimo Gobbi, who is a free-agent at the moment after not agreeing to extend his contract with Fiorentina which ran out this June. And speaking of Fiorentina, it seems like they'll get a new LB aswell in Andrea Mantonvani. Talks has been confirmed by both parties. If this goes through, then it's another great buy from Fiorentina. I like their squad - it contains young and talented players.
Back to Roma, they have signed Burdisso to the club! Or wait, it wasn't Nicolas, it's Guillermo Burdisso, Nicolas' brother. Roma has bought 50% of his contract and Roma has the opportunity to buy the remaining 50% for an already agreed fee till 30th June 2011.
Guillermo's brother, Nicolas, must be upset on Inter. Everyone knows he wants to go back to Roma, he isn't exactly best friends with the Inter players anymore after the game between them in the Coppa Italia final in May, he won't get many minutes and Inter and while he was on loan to Roma this past season, he got loads of minutes and was a rock. He and Roma has been working on a permanent move for the Argentinian, but with Roma beeing in some financial trouble at the moment, they cannot offer Moratti and Inter's demand of 10M € and so far, Roma's highest bid is at 5M € and this has been going on through the summer right after the past season finished! In my opinion, Moratti and co. are really just trying to irritate Roma. They are facing each other in the Supercoppa in about 10 days or so and Inter knows Roma are a big threat to them and if they're getting Nicolas before the game, they'll be an even bigger threat. I believe Nicolas Burdisso will be located at Rome before August is over, I doubt Inter really wants to have him that bad. I'm sure they'll sell him to Roma in the 6-8M € region after the game between them.
Done deal: Appiah has signed for the newcomers Cesena. Cesena has aswell loaned in the Greece youngster Tachtsidis from Genoa and whom Genoa bought earlier this summer.
German Denis will most likely head up north-east and to the city Udine. Udinese and Napoli has been in touch with each other regarding Denis for about a week now and it looks like Denis will play for Udinese as of now - despite the injury he got right under when they discussion where most on going.
Napoli will then most likely use the Denis moneys to buy the player who never really got a shot in Bayern ~ Jose Sosa. Napoli came up with an offer some days ago, but Bayern demanded abit more and with the Denis deal shortly beeing completed, they'll use some of that money to buy Sosa.

Maradona: ''Soldado Is A Sunderland Player In A Few Hours''
According to coach Maradona, Sunderland has agreed a fee with the West Midlands outfit, Manchester City, regarding the Spanish striker Roberto Soldado. This comes to a shock for the City and Sunderland fans, as their hasn't been any rumors about this. Maradona said last week that Sunderland were in negotiation regarding a player in the Premier League.
Maradona has stated that Sunderland has agreed a deal with Manchester City regarding the Spanish striker Roberto Soldado. Maradona isn't willing to reveal the fee though, as he don't want any last minute bidders for Soldado.
The Expert's Thoughts
Soldado is yet to confirmed, but now when Maradona have said all this, it's highly unlikely that he is lying. There is no rumors about which player will be joining City, but it has been heavily rumored that Robbie Keane wants to leave Sunderland due to lack of playing time for a while now, and since City are looking for a striker, it most likely looks like the former Tottenham player is leaving Sunderland after a disappointing spell where he was often injury-phrone and didn't have a good dialog with coach Maradona.

PREMIERSHIP CHECK-UP REPORT
TURN 16, SEASON 2
So we've reached turn 16, and we've just been hit with the news that Portsmouth are on the verge of financial meltdown, this isn't news we wanted to hear, but the show must go on! will the show be going on for Pompey for much longer? or will the club be forced to take action and sell some of its biggest stars! It was reported yesterday that Portsmouth we're on the verge of a financial crisis at Fratton Park, this news was obviously bad for the football club, but will some pressure on fiancees be lifted at the end of the season if Pompey can bring some prize money into the club? You wouldn't put it past them in there current position, and could a win tonight again powerhouse's, Chelsea who will be without Didier Drogba and Xavi.

Some Words After The Friendly Against Roeselare
So Lens faced the Belgian team Roeselare in a friendly game the other day. Those who didn't participate in the game against Athletic Bilbao 2 days earlier, participated in this one. Several youngsters were given the chance to shine in this draw.
The Lens XI: Runje - El Adoua (Fradj 77), Chelle, Situ, Bedimo - Sow, Doumeng, Monnet-Paquet (T.Hazard 46) - Eduardo, Boukari, Pollet (Delaine 67).
Lens mostly dominated the game, but couldn't convert their chances and the game hasn't still seen a goal after the end of the 1th half. Lens also mostly dominated the 2nd half, but Roeselare scored the first goal in the 63rd minute. After a bad pass in our own side of the pitch, a player from Roeselare has a one on one opportunity against Runje, and he didn't make any mistake: 1-0. It didn't take to long though for Lens to equalize. After a good shot by Boukari, the keeper managed to save it, but only to a rebound which Thorgan Hazard easily scored on. After that, both sides has some fair chances, but none of the team converted them.
This doesn't bother good for us. The league starts within a week from now on, and these two latest games against Bilbao and Roeselare hasn't been to impressive. I really hope this doesn't takes action on the league play in a negative style. If we cannot beat a team like Roeselare, how are we going to beat those middle-teams we need to beat in order to stay in the first divison...? Worrying to say the least.
Some positive notes from this game though; Wallemme plays many youngsters in this game such as Situ, Pollet and Hazard. I am happy with this, he is not afraid of playing the younger players and afterall it is pre-season games that occurs at the moment. These games are meant to be played so you can try some new tactics/integrate new players to the team etc etc...
Boukari was in my opinion the MoM. Great speed with the ball and not afraid of trying something wild. Really interesting player we have here and I just hope finds he doesn't dip in form every now and then, beacuse we'll have a potentially high Ligue 1 striker.
Pollet was also very impressive this game. Although he missed two chances, he made it up with his target-man play. Great to see this young player integrate to this team so fast after beeing sent on loan for 3 season in-a-row. It just deflects how much he wants to be a part of the team: He is working more than anybody!
I miss the times when we had Nike as the sponsor. Our third kit is just such a big fail;
