Manchester United hand Clarke £40m budget, many United stars told they can leave Jesse Lingard is among the players who have been told their future lies elsewhere As Ryan Clarke gets to grips with his new role as Manchester United manager he was today briefed by Chief Executive Ed Woodward on the clubs finances. It is believed he was told he will have a budget of £40m to splash this summer and with his key targets already identified United will seek to move quickly. Names such as Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi have been mentioned. Although previously these two may have been considered unattainable the money on offer in England has become too much for some to turn down. With additions identified and bids ready to be made Clarke has also taken the time to identify the players he feels do not have a future at the club. A number of high profile stars have been told they are free to contact other clubs as their services are no longer required. Players such as Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard have been placed on the transfer list with rumours they could be included in swap deals.
