Re: just a quick question
If it was an RB/LB rated 85 then play them...if it was just an RB then I'd be tempted to play the lower rated LB as a LB...yes it might lower your average squad rating (by 1) but you wouldn't get penalised for having any players out of position!
My Sunderland had a LM crisis so in Monday's cup game I played an 18 year old 73 rated LM, won the game and he scored as well so it wasn't too bad a move (although goals seem to be quite random where they come from)

If you're a Gold Member you can put into holiday mode (which I've never used but I believe it means the computer loses all your games for you while you're away) but if you're not there's not a lot you can do...unless...
...you can access the Internet from your mobile OR take a laptop with you OR steal a laptop to take with you OR sneak out at night and go to the nearest (24hr) Internet cafe...
slimey2k7 got a reaction from Ell in Penalties
Hmmmm...how to explain...well, penalties after a draw at full-time are just random and you don't see who scored them, or indeed who took them (or choose who takes them). You could win 1-0 or lose 4-1, it seems to be the luck of the draw!
When you select "Penalty Taker" for the actual match that would just apply to penalties during the game, which don't happen

Re: importance of ratings and players your experiences ?
I think it's more overall team rating than any individual player - if your team overall rating is 86 I don't think it makes a difference if you've got an 80 or 90 rated keeper!
So a team of 75 rated outfield players with a 96 rated goalkeeper (using a rather extreme example) will have an average rating of 77 therefore would probably be beaten by a team of a higher average rating, despite the GK's stat!
