  1. First of all the credit for this must go to footballtalentfactory.co.uk Southampton's gifted teenage winger Alex Chamberlain scored his first league goal last weekend to secure all three points against Oldham in League One. His goal showed the same star quality as Theo Walcott, who left the Saints to play for both Arsenal and England. A constant menace since coming on as a second half substitute, Chamberlain also went close with a fine solo effort from the half-way line, with his shot hitting the post in a move reminiscent of that of another former Saints star, Gareth Bale. After the game, manager Nigel Adkins was full of praise for the 17-year old, stating "Alex is obviously a massive talent and has a great future at this football club. "He made a great impact, scoring a good goal. He has a lot of potential." Southampton's latest wide man is son of former Tottenham and Engand star Mark Chamberlain, also a winger. The south-coast outfit have a rich history of producing talent in recent years and previous graduates include Matthew Le Tissier, Alan Shearer, Wayne Bridge, Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale. The fans on the South Coast will be hoping they can hold on to Chamberlain as the push on under new boss Nigel Adkins in their quest for promotion. With a number of eye catching displays, scouts from up and down the country will be at St. Mary's over the forthcoming weeks to make a full progress report on one of the most exciting talents outside of the Premiership. Not since Theo Walcott's emergence, have Saints fans been on the edge of their seats awaiting the unexpected. Chamberlain made his first team debut on March 2nd 2010 at the age of 16 years and 199 days, coming off the bench in a 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town, becoming the club's second youngest ever player behind Theo Walcott. The pacey winger had to wait until the beginning of the 2010-11 season before making his first competitive start on 10th August against Bournemouth in the first round of the League Cup where he scored Southampton's second goal in a 2-0 victory. During the same month he signed his first professional contract after turning 17 which will see him contracted to the club until 2013. With lightening quick pace, good dribbling skills and an eye for goal Chamberlain is one of the hottest properties in the football league. Andy
  2. Re: Premiership Ratings By MaoaM 2010/11 Deserves a 95 minimum, small chance of a 96 if you asking me!
  3. Re: John Obi Mikel John Obi Mikel has come on leaps and bounds this season. Im a Blues fan and he has made quite a big improvement. His main improvement is his composure and reading of the game. He used to be someone who would just ping a long ball into space or throw himself into a tackle and pick up reckless yellow/red cards and give away needless freekicks. Now Mikel has started to read the game more and intercept more passes aswell as pull off a few "Hollywood" passes while spraying the ball about a bit more and keeping things simple when needed and thinking a bit more. Honestly without him Chelsea would be a different team without that shield for when Lampard/Essien bomb forward with the fullbacks all at once.
  4. Re: Oriol Romeu Is this guy worth holding onto? Just snapped him up in English 112 but would he be like Busquets and rise quickly or is he someone who's worth a rise now and selling on for a quick few quid. Asking opinions this time as someone told me to sell De Gea (never happening!!!)
  5. Re: Manager Changeover same again day 7 team gets a manager, day 8 he quits
  6. When a manager joins a set up and takes over a unmanaged club and quits again with 48hrs there should not be another 7 day wait before we can make bids again. In my set up 112, the Man Utd manager job is up for grabs but gets a new manager on day 7 everytime and then quits on day 8 meaning we can never bid for any of their players!!!
  7. Re: Quality Penalty Calvente added to database, get him snapped up. He was added yesterday but i'm only commenting today now I know my bids accepted for English 112 setup
  8. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm needing some help in finding a quality midfielder who is either a CM or a CM/AM for my Newcastle team in English 112. I don't splash big cash on the big stars i prefer to buy upcoming players and work with them during the rating changes. I already have Gourcuff (92) but I want a 2nd player just so I have cover for injuries. Narrowing it down I've come up with Hamsik (91) Joao Moutinho (91) Misimovic (90) Fellaini (90) Defour (89) Javi Martinez (89) Mariga Macdonald (85) Ozil (90) - keep seeing on forum he may change from AM/LM to CM/AM any others worth considering and which would be the best investment

  12. I'm Newcastle in English 112 and currently have 26m to spend at the moment. I've recently sold Felipe Melo for 25m (form he's in best shift him on) Now i need to look for a replacement midfielder ideally an attacking one. Currently I have Gourcuff, De Rossi, Toulalan and Jack Rodwell. I'm looking for a YOUNG up and coming or good alternative who can play CM/AM. Names come to mind have been Defour, Hamsik, Mariga Macdonald. Any other recomendations please help. I like to keep my squad age down but still buy quality at whatever the price if need be. Cheers Andy
  13. Re: LB under 90? Left Back is probably the hardest position to fill I have Capdevilla, Taye Taiwo and Santon. We all know Capdevilla wont have long left and getting the likes of Cissokho, Insua, Clichy, Lahm and whoever else is near enough impossible in the English 112 game. Either managers dont reply or wont sell unless its a ridiculous price which you know will get blocked as unrealistic. It's just annoying me, rant over Any potential rises for there much appreciated???
  14. Re: Which Part To Improve From My Squad Thread Any tips on who to keep or sell would be appreciated, guessing my strikers are the weakest area and most likely to drop (the germans)????? English Championship 112, Newcastle United GK - Given 91, Ben Foster 87 LB - Capdevilla 92, Taiwo 89 RB - Glen Johnson 89, Micah Richards 89, Rafael 86, Santon 86 CB - Gallas 93, Alex 92, Sakho 87, Vermaelen 88, Bassong 86 Wing/LM/RM - Schweinsteiger 92, Valencia 89, Marin 89, Modric 91, Nasri 92 CM - Felipe Melo 91, de Rossi 94, Toulalan 93, Rodwell 83, Ignacio Camacho 83 and Gourcuff 90 CF/Fwd - Benzema 93, Klose 93, Gomis 89, Podolski 91
