Tottenham Announce Cook as New Manager
Tottenham Hotspur unveiled their new manager today following previous encumbent Harry Redknapp's decision to retire and sell timeshare villas in the Algarve.
Cook is still reviewing the squad, but sources from the club suggest that he is generally happy and is looking only to add a little depth in certain areas.
A club spokesperson has indicated however that Cudicini, Bentley and Pavlyuchenko would be sold if the right offer came in.
Cook is also expected to begin focussing on an improved youth policy, probably as a reaction to the success over at the Emirates.

    Old Trafford welcomes new era

Earlier this afternoon, Manchester United board members made the decision to change things and sack the old nagging Scotsman and appoint a young Welshman. Dai Winston has been given free reign to do what he likes and change personel. Its rumoured that he wants rid of 'dead wood' and hopes to bring in young talent.
Winston stated that he is willing to listen to offers for any player in his squad but unless offers meet his standards then he is happy to keep all players. A number of players have been transfer listed. Rio Ferdinand is the most notable one.

( Winston is looking to offload 'un-reliable' Rio )

    Brentford F.C

Brentofrd have made a positive start to the new season after some good performances, our 1st game against a strong Huddersfield went wrong but we were worthy of a draw the score ended 2-0 to Huddersfield. Our 2nd game of the season was against League 2 Chesterfield and we lost 2-0 which was a poor performance but we didnt play none of our stronger players but still thats no exception,so that was our 2nd game with no goals, but fortunately our 3rd game of the seaosn we managed to turn thing s around and get a good result at MK Dons winning 1-0 the goal came from S.Kabba which was a great result and gave our players a boost of confidence. Then tonight we came up against 1 of the favourites to win the league Nottingham Forest, the final score was 2-1 to Brentford coming back from a goal down, the 1st goal for us was scored in the 31st minute by S.Kabba scoring his 2nd of the season, then to win it for Brentford our on-loan striker from Inter Milan D.Alibec scored the winner in the 89th minute to give Brentord a great victory.
    Transfers
Brentford have managed to bring in some ex-premiership players to the club like ex-leeds player D.Matteo and ex-birmingham and newcastle defender S.Carr to the club for good business signing them and a pay as you play basis,we decided to give them that contract as they are quite old and are at a higher risk to injuries.

Matteo and Carr joining us on 2-year contracts
    Loans

Alibec joins us on a 1-year loan deal from Inter Milan,Elvis Ogude joining us on a season long loan from Barcelona and Brazilian defender Manoel also joining us on on a season long loan from Atletico Paranaense.

But we got the win and thats all that matters." But just hours after the match Pirie completed the signing of Hamit Altintop from Bayern Munchen. Mr MCFC's Guide To Writing, Brilliant Match Reports

Hello, and welcome to Mr.MCFC’s Guide to writing brilliant Match Reports. In this thread/guide not only do I plan to give you tips on how to create interesting, powerful and thought provoking match reports, which hopefully should gather interest off a large amount of forum members but I want these members to continuously come back reading your reports on a regular basis, following your team’s progress and doing what all writers set out to achieve, reading your work. Match reporting as easy it sounds, is an interesting part of any football club whether it be in football games, or in real-life football. A match report should base it’s content on detail, and information so people who aren’t at the game, or haven’t heard or witnessed any coverage can relate to the content of your reports. Thus meaning that literary devices such at Imagery is key, along with detailed descriptions of minor things in a match which would help the reader relate to the match or transfer you have undertaken with your club. Anyway, I will discuss later in a bit more detail, but to start off I feel it’s best to begin right at the start with my tips. Firstly, is choosing your team.

    Section 1) Choosing Your Team:
Writing match reports has not only got to be interesting for the reader to read, but for the writer. It’s a proven fact that anything you enjoy writing yourself, will end up being your best work. So, Tip 1) Choose The Team carefully for which you will write match reports on. There’s no point choosing a team hastily, and just for the sake of it to say you have a few match reports under your belt. Within a week I assure you, you will get bored so it’s best to carefully choose the team, so that you will enjoy writing match reports after 3-4 weeks of starting them. Then you have to ask yourself, which team will I enjoy writing match reports. In a thread I recently began, I took over a Manchester City in WC6114 especially for writing match reports, so I could embark on a journey, and as much as I was experiencing it, you too on forum also instantly feel the experience and follow my journey. However, there’s always another type of team you could choose, by this meaning either a team you have feelings for after building them up after a set number of seasons, or a team in a game-world which means something to you. A good example of this is James_B16 and English Championship 106. He chose his beloved Preston team to report on, and after more than 2-3 seasons reporting on SM Forum, he has still kept interest and made this game-world one of the most viewed game world threads in SM History. This concludes the first section of my guide to writing match reports.

    Section 2) Planning:
Section 2 is about planning. All throughout my schooling education, in any essay, coursework you name it, I never planned. I always just got stuck in and till this day I’m a big believer of going with your instinct and doing what you feel is best. Doing it in this way as much as people say results in worse grades, than those who plan their work to me feels like clockwork, and has never effected my grades. But on the topic of match-reports I can safely say I briefly thought about and planned what I wanted to type for each report. If you’re the kind of person who prefers, to plan their work in great detail and have a structured plan to writing any content of your reports, I encourage you to do so. As sad as it sounds, just start on a blank canvas and bullet point things you feel that would make your reports interesting and worth-reading. For example it could start with an Introduction, Manager Unveiling, Transfer Talk, Match Preview, match Report etc. This could be a continuous thing throughout your match reports. However, you could be like me and prefer to get stuck in. I have no issue with this, but before writing try to think about what you feel would benefit your match reports and try to think of items of interest you could include to gather interest and make them interesting and different in comparison to other match-report threads currently in circulation on SM Forum. So, my second tip is, Tip 2) Regardless of whether you prefer to plan or not, try to have a good idea of what you feel would benefit your match-reports and make them worth-reading.

    Section 3) Structuring Your Reports:
Section Three, is now getting into the actual match reporting, and this section is devoted to structure of your reports. There are two ways many members on SM write reports. There are the members who spend time on long posts, with a whole post devoted to match reports, and transfer talk and those who choose to post smaller posts on a regular basis with match information, team previews, transfer talk and general news to do with the club. When I first started match reports I felt that bigger posts got more views and attention but after a while I found that smaller reports but on a regular basis not only worked to my advantage to my social life, but I felt that they were easier to read and comprehend. I’m not saying that any are better than any other, but just use the method of trial and improvement to find out with suits you better and which you feel works to your advantage. After a while it will come naturally which you feel work best, and to me as I stated it took me a while to find out which I preferred so don’t expect that your reports will have an instant effect and thus leading to an instant decision as it may not. So, Tip 3) Try Long and Short reports, and you’ll naturally after a while feel comfortable with a certain type of length and style of report. The next section follows on from this, and links in very well, this being the layout of the reports.

Section 4) The Layout of Your Reports:
The fourth section is devoted to the layout of your reports. Many people on SM forum opt to use a lot of colour, images and imagery devices to help create brilliant match reports. I am a great believer of using images in reports, to give it the feeling of a news-paper and many people have even gone as far as adding videos, and interviews/quotes. Tip 4) I recommend that you make yourself, or request a Match Report Skin. A match report skin to those who are unsure on what one is, a small banner, which is put at the top of every report you do which can be made on graphics softwares such as Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.Net and Macromedia Fireworks. There will always be someone willing to make one for you, so head to the Graphics Board and request one from active GFX designers. Tip 5) Use an image relating to the topic of your match report/transfer talk post. This could be a player that is a central figure in the report, whether he is moving to a different club, or scoring a winning goal in a vital fixture, an image always helps the reader comprehend the text better. However, good ideas for images to use are pictures of the chosen team celebrating if they’ve won the match or race to sign a player, or an image of upset players/fans if the story and content of the report is opposite. Never fear of using images of the stadium in question, or any other image that you feel has some kind of relevance in relation to the content of the report. Tip 6) Use a clear, and easy to read font and keep this common throughout all your reports. This is a good tip as it makes the reports easy to read, and good on the eye. This tip also links into the seventh tip which is Tip 7) Make your headings, and titles different to your actual report. This means you could either change the size or colour, or do something, which makes it different to the actual content of the report, and it’s font and style.

Section 5) The Match Report Content:
The final section is the main part of your match reports. Writing them. Many people may not find writing reports easy but I feel that this section could not only help your match reporting skills, but your English literary skills as well. If your unsure on where to start off, use other people’s reports as a guide. Maybe take a sentence out of people’s reports that you feel would go nicely in yours, but please I ask don’t rob people’s styles and content of reports, just use them simply as an aid and helpful resource when writing yours. Also, my eight tip is, Tip 8) Use Match Reports, from Real-Life websites as a guide. SkySports, and BBC create brilliant and detailed match reports and using these as a guide and aid in your match reporting should give you a good boost and stepping stone in stepping in the right way for getting people to read your reports. This should be the final bit of advice, and help you need in writing your reports, and please remember that no matter how good it may look or be set out, many experienced members don’t just judge a book by it’s cover so make sure that your actual report lives up to expectation and provides descriptions of events in transfers, or in the match to a high aspect of detail so people can relate to the events with your clubs. Also, use a wide variety of adjectives to describe parts of your reports/events with your team, and keep either a formal/informal style which ever is to your fancy throughout your reports.

    And To Conclude...
This Concludes, Mr.MCFC’s guide to writing match reports. I’d like to thank you for reading, and I ask that anybody who has read this post some feedback over a reply as a lot of effort to helping those who maybe struggle in match reporting has been put into this thread, and I feel that this thread will be of use not just in 2 months time, but in 2 years time. Post, any examples of reports you’ve done based on the advice in this thread, and for now I bid you farewell. Many thanks, Mr.MCFC (Adam Selby)

1st Game of Season Starts with a Win for Inter!
The opeing game of the season in Serie A was an away trip to Bari for a very strong Internazionale.Inter won the game 2-1 after coming back from a goal scored in the 56th minute by Lanzafame for Bari.I was very impressed with the way Inter reacted to the goal and came back even stronger managing to score 2 goals to win the game, the 1st goal came from Mancini which was scored in the 68th minute and the 2nd in the 81st by Quaresma,it showed great character by the team and shows that they have the confidence to come back in any game no matter the score.

(Mancini scoring in the 68th Minute)

(Quaresma scored the late winner in the 81st minute)
Our next game is in the SMFA cup which we hope to do well in this year as I think we have the squad and the depth the 1st game of our campaign is against New England Revolution which should be an easy game but will be playing a decent team against the Americans,we should come away with 3 points but The Americans could take advantage of the Jet lag as the game is only in 2 days and players will struggle but i'm sure we should handle the problem well as they are fit proffessionals

    SMFA cup group C
I'd like to say thankyou to the fans that will be making the long trip to America to support us,it is much appreciated and free transport from The airport is in place for our fans. It's expected that 2,000 Fans will be making the journey which is great considering a mid-week game,so thankyou to all those fans.

Inters hardocre fans are expected to make the Trip wchich will give the game a great atmosphere

    Internazionale
Last night Tom Baldwin was announced infornt of a 50,000 crowd all excited to see him at the club after a 2nd spell with the club but said this spell will be a lot longer than the previous 1.Maicon and Ibra are all likely to stay in Italy as Tom sees them important players to achieve success this season.I'm not likely to spend big in the transfer market as i'm happy with the squad but that doesn't mean i'm not looking for a big player to bring in.We are going to make inquiries about players soon and there are rumours going around that we're interested in Karim benzema of Real madrid and Frank Ribery of Bayern Munich but no bid has been made and we havent confirmed that we're interested in the players although we are interested in strengthenin those positions

Could thse players be the next big stars to join Inter,it looks a doubt that Ribery will ber joining us as a deal has been accepted by Bayern for him by Real madrid but a deal for Benzema is on the cards!
