  1. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Lost 0-1 to my former club Charlton Athletic. I'll be looking to change my attacking options real soon. Huntelaar seems to have lost his scoring touch this season. Same goes to the rest except Mpala who's currently injured.
  2. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread We conceded 3 goals again. But without a goal this time.
  3. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Dean Bryant was helpless to prevent a English Cup Final defeat with Derby County against Tranmere Rovers!! Derby County were beaten 3 - 1 by Tranmere Rovers. Huntelaar was on the scoresheet for his side. Must admit it, they're on form and deserved to win. Congrats to Sara Cicci.
  4. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread A definite riser in the future. Rated 75 but started 29 out of 34 games for mid-table side Kashima Antlers. Their top-rated players are on 86. Talking about ratings, Derby County have a few risers in the past few days. Luiz Danilo 88 -> 89 Francisco Portillo 80 -> 85 Martin Pedro 77 -> 80
  5. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Derby County were held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City. Huntelaar scored the equaliser just six minutes after Antonio Apono opened the scoring for the visitors.
  6. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Two excellent free kicks from Park Ji Sung was enough for us to hold the game till penalty shootout and we managed to stun them with 4-3 on penalties. To sweeten the victory, we managed to overcome a side consisted of Cristiano Ronaldo, Van Persie, David Silva and Kompany. Another Division 3 side Tranmere Rovers will be travelling to Wembley for the final after they secured a 2-1 victory against Aston Villa. English Cup Final here we come!
  7. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread English Cup Semi-Final Preview Derby County v Darlington Derby County play their League Cup semifinal tie at home against Darlington, giving them an advantage of home support and the chance of overcoming a stronger visitor side. The last time most viewers saw Derby, they were stunning Leicester with three goals and a clean sheet in the quarterfinal. Darlington have been in horrible form as of late, picked 4 points from 4 league games, but earned a convincing 2-0 victory at Middlesbrough in their last Division 1 match. Dean Bryant, fortunately, currently own a mostly fit first-team squad with only left-back Aly Cissokho, the only injury issue. This will be the first time Bryant guiding a team in the semifinal of the competition and a trip to the Wembley will be a dream come true for the long-serving manager who have never reach to this stage in his previous 7-seasons stints with Carlisle United, Charlton Athletic and Chesterfield. Will Trafford, on the other hand, will have a huge task ahead of him, being the only team from the top tier still fighting in the competition. The other semifinal takes place between Division 3 side Tranmere Rovers and Division 2 side Aston Villa, which will take place at Prenton Park. Both sides will be fighting for a trip to Wembley for the first time.
  8. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Derby County beat Leicester City 2 - 1 in their Division 3 fixture. Huntelaar scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance. Honda was also on the scoresheet for his side. Derby are closing the gap with the current top spot Charlton Athletic to 2 points only. Perez Alberto retiring at the end of the season, which I'm unaware of. Does anyone know?
  9. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread It's been a week since my last update here. 3 draws in the previous 3 games. Not much of a good news except for the recent rating changes. Most notably my highest-rated player, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar rise from 91 to 92. And my most unexpected rating changes, Keijiro Ogawa from 78 to 83. And last but not least, my most anticipated player to rise, Kevin Trapp rise from 86 to 87 only. I was expecting him to get 88, so that I could sell Diego Lopez but guess he'll still stay as number 1.
  10. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Lewis Holtby 88 -> 89 (+1) Peniel Mlapa 86 -> 87 (+1) Kareem Demirbay 75 -> 77 (+2) After these changes, I don't need Alou Diarra. He may leave for cash. Sorry for the double post.
  11. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Lost 4-1 to Everton. Huntelaar scored the consolation goal for the visitors through penalty.
  12. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Derby County beat Charlton Athletic 4 - 2 on penalties after a 0 - 0 draw in their English Cup Round 4 fixture. Bojan had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match. Progressed through to the next round of English Cup; the Quarter Finals. This is probably the highest round I've been in any cup in EC106. lol
  13. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Derby County beat Tranmere Rovers 2 - 1 in their Division 3 fixture. Zapata had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match. Holtby and Wilshere were amongst the goalscorers. Looks like I've got the better deal in (Jack Wilshere + Luiz Danilo = Sergio Busquets). Both Wilshere and Danilo got game rating of 8 with the former grabbed a goal. Meanwhile, Busquets got a game rating of 6.
  14. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Dean Bryant steered Derby County to victory against fierce rivals Notts County. Derby County beat Notts County 2 - 1 in their Division 3 fixture. Capel scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance. Wilshere was also on the scoresheet for his side. Derby have now won 3 and drew once so far this season and currently 2 points behind leader Leicester City.
  15. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Derby County begin this season campaign with a comfortable 2-1 win over Gillingham. Bojan bagged a brace.
  16. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Those players who you transfer-listed are not only decent but good players. I was only looking for average players. PS I never meant to insult anyone in my previous posts.
  17. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Very good news for Derby County. We managed to seal loan deals for Aymen Abdennour and Mathias Zanka Jorgensen from Southampton and Huddersfield Town respectively. (Thanks to Wei Heng and Dermot). Also, completed the signing of striker Shinji Okazaki from Aston Villa for 10mil. He's the only decent player who was available for cash. Needed someone who can fill in the gap for Hunterlaar who's out for 4 weeks.
  18. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread I've addressed concern for Zapata and offered him a new contract worth 40k per week but his contract left with 1 year which is by the end of the season. But I couldn't extend his contract now. Do you think the club will automatically offer him an extension contract at the end of the season or will he leave the club as free agent?
  19. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Couldn't find myself time to login SM for the past 7 days and I would say I'm quite satisfied with the Japan performance in the World Cup. Managed to get all draws in the group stage (no defeat is good enough considering I couldn't manage the tactics during the crucial days.) Had to say that I'm now retiring from international stage. This will be my last international competition. As for Derby County, we're desperately in need of defenders. Only have 1 right-back, 1 left-back (suspended for 1 game) and only 2 qualified centre-backs. Seriously, no substitution or back-up for the defensive line. Also, missed out on number of players who I'm keen to loan for the whole season. Hopefully, within the next 6 days (my break from work), I'm able to bolster my depleted squad with decent players. There's a good news though. Managed to sign Kevin Trapp for quite a hefty price (around 14mil in total-chairman value). But I think the deal is worth every penny considering EC106 is still competitive in transfers). Last but not least, for your info, Alou Diarra is available for part-exchange. Looking to exchange for any defender, preferably who can play 2 or more defensive positions (rating 88 or above, below 30 years old)
  20. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Should I sign Radamel Falcao for Mario Gotze and Romelu Lukaku?
  21. Re: Help With Deal(s) Thread... Who should I sign? Karim Benzema or Sergio Aguero?
  22. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Lost 0-2 to Bolton Wanderers. Derby finished tenth in Division 3. Quite satisfied with the results this season.
  23. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Lost 0-2 to Everton. Still 10th in Div 3. Anything above 15th is considered an achievement for the club but for me, 10th or above. 3 more games left.
