    Glandford Park (22,533)
    Shorpe United 1 - 1 Derby County
    Flavio Ferreira (39') ------------- Gotoku Sakai (78')-
    Sakai rescues point for Rams

    Sakai celebrates his equaliser
Gotoku Sakai rescued a point for Derby County at Shorpe United to keep them level with their opponent and West Ham United at Division 3 play-off spots, but a thrilling match might easily have gone either way.
The Irons, fresh from downing Sheffield Wednesday in the English Shield two days ago, had ample opportunity to extend their winning streak after Flavio Ferreira smashed a 20-yard strike into the net in the 39th minute.
But it was Derby who ended the game in the hunt for the points after Sakai headed home from Lewis Holtby's free kick. Had Heung-Min Son been anywhere close to his best he would have settled the issue and put Derby up to third place by finishing a clear cut chance teed up by Holtby late in the game.
Shorpe began the match positively, Roman Eremenko combining well with Bruno Fernandes but only to see Eremenko shot saved by Diego Lopez. Derby gradually took control of the midfield, Riccardo Montolivo, Lewis Holtby and Keisuke Honda proving an effective triple act in the central area. Montolivo and Jan-Klaas Huntelaar both had a chance for the opener but Maarten Stekelenburg did brilliantly to cancel off their efforts.
Shorpe were not given much of the ball but their tight defence looked secured for at least a goalless draw before the break. Their risilient play paid off six minutes before half time. Eremenko hold the ball well to provide some space for Flavio Ferreira just outside the box and the Portugese made no mistake with a low shot into the bottom corner.
The second half began explosively, with both sides created chances from distance. The Rams went first, Cristian Zapata played the ball forward after a quick restart from the keeper. Holtby produced a sublime piece of control and hit an ambitious effort from 20 yards but Stekelenburg showed strong hands to save it.
Moments later Shorpe advanced, with Benetti Ramiro's lay-off finding Marouane Fellaini 25 yards out only for Lopez's safe hands to spare Derby. The pace barely slowed before another effort from long range by Honda was well saved by Stekelenburg.
They were level after 78 minutes, with Sakai the scorer. Holtby's free kick found Son but the Korean selflessly nod the ball into the path of Sakai, who made no mistake to head home the equaliser. Derby were buoyed and probably should have taken the lead when Holtby's one-touch pass sat up for Son with a clear chance from 10 yards. He snatched at the shot that flew straight to Stekelenburg who easily push the ball clear from the danger.
Shorpe United and Derby County remained in sixth and fifth in Division 3 respectively with fourteen points each.

    Derby linked with Portsmouth Douglas

Derby County are being linked with a move for Teixeira Douglas after Portsmouth board previously put the player on transfer before manager Nick Higgs joined the club. Douglas, 26, is under contract at Fratton Park until Season 21, but the former Huddersfield Town defender is said to be unsatisfied with his opportunity in the first team football at Pompey this season and has been in talks with the board for a quick solution.
Rams manager Dean Bryant, who has previously work with Douglas at Charlton Athletic, has confirmed his interest to bring the Netherlands international to Pride Park. "I know Doulgas when we were at Charlton Athletic and he's the type of defender I'm looking for at the moment. He's strong in the air and someone who can be trusted at the back."
Derby have already conceded ten goals in the season after four games and Bryant has admitted he needs to strengthen his backline. "We have strengthen much in the attack and midfield area in the pre-season but we have not looked into the defence yet and I think there's a need for us to invest on a new defender."
With all the speculation, it is still unknown whether Doulgas is part of Higgs' plan as he prepares for his first match in charge against Colchester United this Wednesday.

    Derby County News
Division 3 side Derby County have announced the capture of Korea Republic international Ja-Cheol Koo from Rochdale for a fee believed to be around 10 million pound. The 24-year-old has put on pen to paper for The Rams until Season 23.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Derby County appear to be edging closer to signing Liverpool forward Heung-Min Son, with the Korea Republic international's agent reportedly seen at the club's Pride Park stadium yesterday. It is reported that three players are involved in a deal between Derby County and Liverpool. 22-year-old Jack Wilshere, who has been attracting interest from a host of clubs in England, is set to be announced as Liverpool player today. In other part of the deal, Heung-Min Son and Italy international midfielder Riccardo Montolivo will be moving to the opposite direction. The Soccer Manager Times has also revealed that Derby County will receive a fee of five million pound as part of the swap.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Derby County manager Dean Bryant says his club are not prepared in selling midfielder Lewis Holtby, while revealing his interest in taking Yoann Gourcuff as part of a swap for Holtby is now faded. Speculation in recent weeks has linked the talented German playmaker with a move to Preston North End or West Bromwich Albion, while other media this week has said that Manchester United and Stoke City have tabled their offers for Holtby. With the departure of Jack Wilshere to Liverpool is now closer to completion, Derby manager Dean Bryant said in The Soccer Manager Times that he is not prepared to lose another midfielder at present.
"Due to the change of course in the transer market, Holtby is not available for sale," he said. "(Jack) Wilshere is leaving us so we don't think letting Holtby leave is a wise decision for our club."

Depends on whether Montlivo is a starter for you. If he is then I'd rather have the duo.

El Arabi on verge of Derby move

El Arabi wants a permanent move away from Old Trafford
Youssef El Arabi is set for talks with Derby County today as he bids to secure a permanent move away from Manchester United.
The Morocco striker is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season, and manager Niall Taylor is prepared to let him go.
Sources have told SoccerManager that Derby County, who have recently won a promotion back to Division 3 following a relegation two seasons ago, are keen to keep El Arabi on permanent basis after a successful loan spell.
El Arabi, who played a major part in Derby's recent success, has made clear that he needs regular first-team football and is concerned about being loaned out. He has not figured at all for Manchester United since moving from Swansea City back in Season 16.
The striker told SoccerManager Times: "I am flattered by the effort and interest shown by Derby County. Since the season is over, it's clear that I have to make an important decision. I want to be at a club that can provide me many first team football."
El Arabi has netted 13 goals and made 13 assists in 26 appearances for the Rams this season and has publicly stated his wish to make his Derby switch a permanent one.

Derby County sealed the Division 4 top spot with a trashing 5-0 victory over Blackpool!! My first silverware in EC106. Took me more than 4 years to achieve that! LOL
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored a double. Holtby, El Arabi and Wakaso got into the scoresheet as well. It was a nerve-wracking last week as we didn't earn any point in the previous 2 games.

    Grimsby Town Football Club

Paparazzi await the arrival of new manager Tom T
    New Manager Announced
Former Yeovil Town manager Tom T has been announced as the new manager at Grimbsy Town. Tom T previously managed Yeovil Town back in 2009 where he went on to manage 172 games at the club, becoming the longest serving manager in the clubs history. He even managed to win the Division 4 play off trophy during season 10, only the second piece of silverware the club has won. After managing Yeovil he went on to manager Wolverhampton Wanderers for 8 months. After not performing up to everyone's expectations he admitted that he made a mistake leaving Yeovil for Wolves and deciding to retire from the game ... until now.
As the season is drawing to a close, Tom T is in the perfect position to assess the squad he has and make preparations for next season. Grimbsy are the bottom club in the bottom division, something which Tom T has experienced before. When Tom took over at Yeovil, he took over a team with a low morale, a team with no hope at the bottom of the league. However, the next season he managed to clinch the play-off final trophy and get promoted to Division 3. The Grimsby fans will be hoping for the something of the same, but this time the challenge will be 10 times harder. The squad, on paper, is probably the worst in the entire league. There are only two players over the age of 22 and only 9 players in the first team squad - with three of them being on loan!
Its going to take a miracle to turn this club around next season, but Tom T thinks he its a challenge which will be an excited one. He said earlier "I know exactly what I'm coming into. Is the challenge going to be hard? Yes, but its one that I can't wait to get my teeth into. A lot of people are looking at the negatives, but I just want to look forward towards the positives. We have a large youth squad, which is hungry to show me what they can do. We have a few million available to us so hopefully we can get a few first team players in. Next season we want to aim high. A top half finish would be acceptable, and that's what we will aim to do"
Lets hope the young but experienced manager can do what he did with Yeovil and turn the club around.

    West Bromwich Albion
    The Story So Far
Back on the 26th November a new manager was appointed at West Bromwich Albion, after a spell of 3 different managers in the same month, they appointed Journal on a long term contract with the club. Since then the Baggies have won 4 out of 4 games under the new man, which they have climbed into the play off spots and have a chance at not only automatic promotion but being crown champions of division 3. With just 5 games left its going to be an exciting finish to say the least one in which West Brom will hope to gain promotion to division 2.
No changes until end of season says Journal
Despite taking charge and looking to make the squad his, Journal has reiterated that his intentions for this season are to try and get promotion this season, meaning there will be no current changes to the clubs squad before the end of the season finish. Come 25th December, when the season finishes, their is expected to be a revamp of the squad and a spending spree on new talent despite which division they will be in. In an interview, Journal made it clear what his approach will be regarding to changes on the squad at the end of the season:
"My aim at this football club is to build a young side, I already have young players at my disposal but not enough, in my opinion. Players will be leaving the club at the end of the season in order to make way for new talent and this is at the end of the season when certain players will find out they will be leaving. I do not want to make changes to the squad as of yet due to the fact I have took charge of the team so late into the season and we want to go for it to try and get promoted to division 2 this season."

Sahin set to be new WBA captain
It has emerged that looking towards next season Turkish international Nuri Sahin is to be announced the new club captain, succeeding current club captain Massimo Ambrosini, with the Italian expecting to return home to Italy after the season end after being with the Baggies for 3 seasons running. Sahin is thought to be part of Journal's future plans with the club and is loving life in the Midlands at the moment. The 25 year old has been with West Brom for 4 seasons now and being one of the fans favourite at the club it has emerged well with the fans, here's what the Turk had to say in an interview with WBA officials:
"I am flattered to be given the club captaincy at the end of the season. I have been here now for 4 seasons and all of them have been a real honour. We have had a lot of different managers recently but they way the new boss approaches the club is a way that is very bright for the future and I along with other squad members are very excited to be working under him. Our main priority is to finish this season as high as we can, hopefully gaining promotion to division 2, I feel our squad is already division 2 class anyway and we will cope well in there."
    What do the fans think?
The fans are a massive part of a football club, so how West Bromwich Albions fans would react to Journal's future plans is interesting. With the club having 3 different managers in the last month, it's obvious they will be sceptical about the Englishmen and how he will approach the club but after 4 back to back wins since taking charge of West Brom and now being labelled as serious title contenders with 5 games to go, this is what the leader of the supporters club thought of Journal's ambitions:
"Our fans have reacted very well to his appointment, the previous 3 managers we have had at the club in such a short space of time had no ambition at all, they were dull and unclear of what they could offer to the club, with Journal it's different. He shows interest in the club and fans, the fact he has come in and made clear publicly of his plans for the club has gone well with the club. I'm speaking on behalf of all the West Bromwich Albion support here, we are very excited for the future of our beloved team. It will obviously be sad to see some regular faces go at the end of the season but the fact we will see fresh faces, that are young, full of ambition and hoping to build their footballing career.
We are already grateful for the impact Journal has made on our season and the fact we can still get promoted, even win the division, is just flattering. Even if we don't get promoted this season we are 100% in full backing of our new manager, he is looking towards the future of the football club and his understanding of football, despite being so young, has already made him a popular man around our parts. The season ends on Christmas day, that will sum up our season, but the future is bright."
5 games left, what will happen?
With just 5 games remaining, West Brom currently sit 5th in the division 3 league table and trailing division 3 leaders Swindon Town by just 4 points. The Albion are 6 points clear of 7th place in the play offs and with tough trips to Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest still on the schedule and home ties with Bolton, Stoke and the final game of the season Reading it will be a exciting finish for West Brom fans, which they hope it will be a successful one too.

Vadez i dont really see rising this season and i think buttner will be no more than a squad player.
Bojan has not been playing well lately but i would pick him as his loan move to milan could reignite his career.

I'd like to thank everyone on here for an absouletely wonderful time in the setup but it's my time to leave,I've completely fell out of love with the game and don't get anywhere near the same buzz I used to get for a result whether it be win, lose or draw,I've got no idea who half the managers are and I simply don't bother to keep track of the setup because I don't care for it,maybe it seems sad but I used to get up to check my PMs the first thing in the morning to see whether there was a possibility for any deals,I'd also be on that and the forum most of the day to see who was moving where and to read discussions and match reports, quite frankly this isn't the 106 I love and adore and as much as I've tried to stick around and get back into things I've now come to realise that this never will be the same as the days back at the start.
Whereas a defeat used to be absouletely gutting I know couldn't care less, perhaps it sounds stupid when it's just a little online game but I and many others on here used to love it all and get transfixed by it,there was deals going on left right and centre and getting an 88 rated player was absouletely amazing, know I can go and pick one up from external no questions asked, unfortunately I think EC 106 has gone the way of EC1 and whilst it's still the best setup on SM I can honestly say I don't care anymore and I've always though that the second I stopped caring whether I lost or not is the time to quit.
Thanks to everyone else involved as it's been a brilliant time, but as far as I'm concerned it's my time to leave,I hope whoever gets Notts County does well with them as it took a lot of time and effort to get where they are today but I can't say I regretted a single second of it.

Rami's been sensational this season (and last), terrific defender, but i'd take a fully fit Vermaelen over him, but because he's hardly ever fully fit i'd pick Rami.
With the transition period Arsenal are going through, Vermaelen won't surpass 91 in atleast another season, and i'd be more than surprised if Rami isn't a 91 within two reviews(so thats even before the season ends).
