Maarten Martens Brace Seals Win For Fulham This win moves Fulham up to 3rd now 2pts clear of 4th placed Crewe who only drop one place after Crystal Palace could only draw with Leeds while Fulham are only 3pts behind 2nd placed Sheffield Wednesday and just 5pts behind Sunderland with both teams only managing a draw
  5. Silveira Juan looking to cause an upset against his former club Fulham are expected to keep Marcus Berg in the starting eleven after his brace against league leaders Sunderland he is expected to start alongside Emmanuel Adebayor with Park and Thomas Necid on the bench James Tomkins who impressed when taking the place of Juan in the center of defence against Sunderland is also on the bench

  9. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Beat Reading 3-2 with a brace from Chu-Young Park who scored his 10th of the season also a goal from defender Aurelian Chedjou Reading did fight back though and pulled back to 3-2 thanks to a brace from Alfredo Ramirez
  10. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Fulham come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Plymouth a 70th minute goal from keeper Sergio Romero and a 75th minute goal from Karim El Ahmadi salvaged a point for Fulham
  11. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Match Review Division 2 4 v 2 Fulham won what was a very close game between Sheffield Wednesday with only an excellent performance from Emmanuel Adebayor being the only thing that separated the two teams it was Adebayor who opened the scoring for Fulham in the 11th minute and only 8 minute later the home side were two up thanks to Maarten Martens who easily beat his marker to head home. This visitors however didn't give up and just 5 minutes later had pulled one back thanks to Felipe Melo who made the Fulham defence look like a bunch of schoolkids before chipping the keeper the visitors continued to push Fulham for the remainder of the half and were rewarded for there persistence with an equalizer in the 43rd minute to stun the Fulham team and fans. Adebayor Finally Comes Good For Fulham with a Superb hat trick Fulham in spite of the shock comeback from the visitors after going 2-0 up got back into the swing of things almost immediately after the restart and restored their lead in the 50th minute thanks to Emmanuel Adebayor once again with an excellent header no sooner had the fans sat down again Adebayor added a 4th for Fulham and his 3rd of the evening once again a header inside the Sheffield Wednesday box to give Fulham a much needed 3pts in there push for promotion with Sheffield Wednesday looking destined to follow so many of the early pace setters and drop down the table. Lemoine,Ochs,Ducasse and Park all provided Assists for Fulham
  12. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Match Preview Division 2 v Fulham welcome the overperforming Sheffield Wednesday to Craven Cottage this evening with the home side in great form of late while Sheffield Wednesday have shown there first signs of distress after a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford City. News from Fulham is that Willian Borges has resumed training following a Fractured cheekbone which has kept him out of the team for nearly 5 weeks also resuming training is Adelino Vieirinha who has been out for just short of 3 weeks with a Groin strain both however are unlikely to feature in this game other than those two players only Aurélian Chedjou is unavailable with the 25y/o defender expected to be out for another week with a fractured cheekbone. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Fulham Announce Players Available for Loan Fulham have announced that 9 players have been made available for loan after the club was knocked out of both the cup and shield all 9 will be available for loans for the remainder of the season. Marc Valiente Joined earlier in the season from Valladolid for only £690,000 has recently had his rating increased from 77 to 80 yet to make his debut for Fulham Age:23 Rating:80 Position:CB/DM Value:£1,290,000 Wage:£7,700 per turn Alexander Buttner Recent signing for Fulham having arrived from dutch side Vitesse for £3,500,000 is only 21 so is likely to have more improvement to come unlikely to get much first team football at the moment at fulham as a result can go out on loan. Age:21 Rating:83 Position:Fwd/Wing Value:£2,570,000 Wage:£12,150 Ananias Werley Young Brazilian center back Werley captained Fulham in there most recent friendly success over Grimsby is yet to make his first team debut for Fulham and has not played since making his debut back in season 9 for Leyton Orient but could prove and useful loan signing for a lower league side Age:22 Rating:84 Position:CB Value:£3,380,000 Wage:£12,600 André Castro Portuguese central midfielder Andre Castro has found his chances limited this season but did impress on his only league start so far with an average rating of 7.70 also played well in both cup and shield matches he featured in. Age:22 Rating:84 Position:CM Value:£3,530,000 Wage:£12,150 Johan Dahlin Johan Dahlin is in his 3rd season in England and played his first league game under current manager Philip Gibbon has also made an appearance in the cup and shield as well as being a regular in friendly matches but is unlikely to feature that often with Sergio Romero in the squad as a result he can go out on loan. 15. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Match Review Friendly 2 v 1 Fulham Win But should have been by More Fulham recorded a 2-1 win over division 4 side Grimsby Town in this evenings friendly match with all three goals coming in the first half central defender Roland Juhasz opened the scoring for the home side after just 8 minutes with a shot from just outside the box with Tomas Necid setting up the goal the visitors hit back halfway through the first half with Johan Elmander hitting the back of the net something that has been a rarity this season Fulham however hit back just 9 minutes later with Pierre Duscasse continuing his fine goalscoring form with an excellent free kick that goal would prove the winner in spite of Fulham having plenty of shots and over 60% for the possession but they lacked the accuracy to score a 3rd goal with the Grimsby defence holding them at bay next up for Fulham is the visit of Sheffield Wednesday while Grimsby face Chesterfield in division 4. Pierre Ducasse continues his fine goalscoring form while Johan Elmander gains a big confidence boost with his 29th minute goal for Grimsby.
  16. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Match Review Division 2 0 v 2 Fulham heap more misery on Wigan Fulham added to Wigan's troubles with a 2-0 defeat of the bottom of the league side the visitors took the lead in the 33rd minute thanks to center back Silveira Juan with an overhead kick from the big defender Franco Zuculini sealed the win for Fulham in the 59th minute with an excellent free kick all in all a very good performance here from Fulham with no less than 8 first team players absent however all 8 are expected to be back for Fulham's next league game against the over performing Sheffield Wednesday who showed there first sign of faltering this evening against Bradford Juan Nets His 5th Goal of the Season
  17. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Got bottom of the league Wigan tonight never like playing the team in last place usually goes badly wrong Lemoine,Adebayor,Martens,Ducasse,Ochs,Romero,Juhasz are all not 100% fit so will be rested Juan is fit as is top scorer Park tough decision on who to partner him either Marcus Berg but he has only scored 2 league goals this season Gaston Fernandez has not scored in 5 league games but scored a hat trick against Hull in a friendly or new loan signing Tomas Necid
  18. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread England Slip Up Throws Group Wide Open England Slipped to a very disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Mexico in this evenings SMFA World Cup group 6 Qualifier and in the process threw the group wide open with just 3pts now covering the top four teams and with Japan only a further 1pt behind some positives though for the England fans they next welcome Algeria to Wembley a nation they have already beaten 5-2 earlier in the group stage however the England midfield will need a major shake up after this evenings performance. Spain Also Fail To Impress Spain also failed to impress this evening throwing away and early one goal lead and only managing a 1-1 draw against Turkey in spite of dominating the game that result also throws group 1 wide open with just 3pts separating the whole group some positives though news that Spain coach James Burrow signed a 1 year extension with the national side. Ukraine Continue To Show Up Brazil Brazil were hugely impressive this evening with an expected clinical performance against a far weaker Cyprus but still remain 1pt behind the Ukraine thanks to a 4-3 win for the European nation last month you have however got to side with the South American giants who will jump on any small slip up from the Ukraine. Wales To The World Cup (No Laughing) Scotland Struggling So Far It is looking a real possibility that Wales could be on the their way to the world cup after a very strong first half of the qualification group stage with the nation currently sitting on top of group 14 with 10pts and 2pts clear of 2nd placed Bosnia & Herzegovina the Czech Republic while dangerous have as yet failed to make much of an impression having drawn 1-1 with Northern Ireland and lost 3-1 to Wales. Another of the home nations that has surprised recently is Scotland having reached the World Cup last year however this year they have found things much more difficult and look set to be in a tough battle in group 16 with Belgium look like certainties to take the group having opened up a 6pt lead already Scotland should on paper claim the 2nd qualification place with their main rivals being minnow nations Malta and the Republic of Macedonia however international football has proved far from predictable over the past few seasons with anything possible.
  19. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Transfer Market Over Price and Stale? The transfer market while not at full as it once was still has plenty of players available but finding a decent player for a reasonable amount of money is becoming much harder with many over the past few seasons relying on players from external clubs however those players have started to dry up with the transfer market the only real source of higher rated players however prices for many of these are well over 30% more than the players value with some reaching up to 80% more than the player is actually worth another problem with the transfer market is the number of players that are up for part exchange with the majority of the highest rated players falling into this bracket In spite of this though you can still find a few bargains with 18 players up for less than 30% over their value with a couple up for chairman's value
  20. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Buttner Joins Fulham Alexander Buttner has joined Fulham from Dutch side Vitesse for a fee of £3,540,000 and joins fellow dutch national Ryan Donk at the club Buttner returns to England after spending just over a season back in his homeland after spending 4 seasons with Swindon Town he signs a 2 year contract with Fulham worth £12,150 per Turn. Necid Joins On Loan Fulham have signed young 21y/o Czech striker Tomas Necid on loan until the end of the season from Charlton Necid has previously worked under Fulham manager Philip Gibbon spending most of season 8 on loan at Middlesbrough where he made 13 appearances Necid will likely have to work very hard to get into the first team at Fulham with Adebayor,Berg,Park and Fernandez in the squad but with Adebayor and Berg so far failing to fire in front of goal he could well be in contention for a place much sooner that expected.
  21. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread Match Review Division 2 4 v 2 Fulham recorded a 4-2 win over Aston Villa first half goals coming from Maarten Martens and Pierre Ducasse the visitors in spite of key players lacking fitness did put in a spirited comeback in the second half though with Sergio Floccari and Ryan Giggs pulling them back level however fitness levels showed towards the end of the game with Silviera Juan adding a 3rd in the 78th minute and Pierre Ducasse adding his 2nd of the game and his 5th of the season in the 87th minute should now pass Crystal Palace up in the 7th after this win only 1pt behind my former club Middlesbrough in 6th Impressive performance form Fulham Midfield Pierre Ducasse who netted 2 goals Match Review Friendly 3 v 1 In what was Fulham's third friendly this season against division 4 side Hull they managed to record there first success with a good 3-1 win with a largely 2nd team with an inspirational performance form Gaston Fernandez with the Argentinian 27y/o netting a superb hat trick Franco Zuculini also impressed providing two assists Fernandez Impressed with a hat-trick and will certainly be in contention for a place in the squad against Wigan
  22. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Fulham recorded a 4-2 win over Aston Villa first half goals coming from Maarten Martens and Pierre Ducasse the visitors in spite of key players lacking fitness did put in a spirited comeback in the second half though with Sergio Floccari and Ryan Giggs pulling them back level however fitness levels showed towards the end of the game with Silviera Juan adding a 3rd in the 78th minute and Pierre Ducasse adding his 2nd of the game and his 5th of the season in the 87th minute should now pass Crystal Palace up in the 7th after this win only 1pt behind my former club Middlesbrough in 6th
  23.
