Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread 2 v 3 Another goal bonanza in a middlesbrough match in 4 games this season there have been 20 Goals with the majority going to Boro and that was no different in this away match against Leicester City however this time they showed a much better eye for goal usually making a slow start Boro Opened up a 2-0 lead however were pegged back by the home team who showed some real resiliance towards the end of the first half and into the second half however the never ending career of Paolo Maldini was enough to seal the win for the visitors Division 2 Scores Fulham 3 - 0 Charlton Athletic Sheffield Wednesday 0 - 1 Birmingham City Cardiff City 0 - 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers Everton 2 - 0 Watford Queens Park Rangers 1 - 2 Stoke City Leeds United 3 - 1 Derby County Leicester City 2 - 3 Middlesbrough Norwich City 1 - 0 Swindon Town Manchester City 3 - 2 Plymouth Argyle Bradford City 3 - 1 Cheltenham Town
  2. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread 3 v 3 First Half After Middlesbrough's impressive 4-1 win in there last match against QPR however Boro made another slow start going behind in the first minute with ROBERTO CARLOS hitting a belter the following 20minutes were all Boro the frustration was getting to Boro though with Dirk MARCELLIS and José María GUTI getting booked and in the 37th Minute against the run of play Massimo GOBBI made it 2-0 to the visitors First Half Score Middlesbrough 0-2 Norwich City Second Half another slow start from Boro and found them going 3-0 behind to a Manuel JORGE ANDRADE shot after a great run Boro were quick to respond and pulled one back to make it 3-1 then in the 64th minute Eidur Gudjohnson hit a powerful shot in off the post and then in the 90th Minute Boro compleated a great comeback with Dirk MARCELLIS making a run from defence to save Boro Full Time Score Middlesbrough 3-3 Norwich City
  3. Division 2 QPR vs Middlesbrough 1 V 4 First Half A Slow start to the game with very little happening in the first 19 Minutes until causing something of an upset QPR striker Marc NYGAARD headed in the opener QPR's lead however did not last long only 7Minutes when Markus ROSENBERG perfectly timed his leap to head home an excellent cross Middlesbrough kept up the pressure and finally broke the deadlock on 43 Minutes with Manuel JONAS GUTIERREZ drilling home a great shot Half Time Score QPR 1-2 Middlesbrough Boro made a much more lively start to the second half and were quick to add to there lead with José María GUTI heading home in the 49th Minute and sealed the win a minute later with Pablo LEDESMA hitting a superb volley the 4th goal did however kill the game until the 77th Minute when Andrés GUARDADO was sent of for a head butt a sad end to the game which otherwise saw some great football Full Time Score QPR 1-4 Middlesbrough

  5. Re: English Championship 106 - Transfer/Gossip thread New Management at Middlesbrough Middlesbrough today announced the appointment of Philip Gibbon at the club after last seasons shocking performance and a goal difference more like a cricket score Brough's new manager will have his work cut out in getting the team back to Division 1 especally with the recent departures of Robbie Keane for 13.5M and Tomás Ujfalusi for 9.5M both going to Portsmouth. Middlesbrough's New Manager has however wasted no time in signing his first player the out of favor Anton Ferdinand will be joining the club in the next couple of days for 8m as well as signing Dirk Marcellis,Gregory Van Der Wiel and Jack Rodwell on loan and with an estimated 80M transfer budget and some big targets in mind it could well be a short stay in Division 2 for Middlesbrough
