Germinal Beerschot in the Jupiler Pro League, who currently sit 11th in the table. He attended Kamukunji High School, which fields a successful football team. He also played for JMJ Academy for three years. He then went on to play in the Kenyan Premier League for World Hope FC before having a spell with Helsingborgs in the 2008/2009 season & then finally moving to Belgium. Victor is a build built midfielder standing at 6ft 2"who can play both offensive and defensive. Victor has similar attributes like his brother Mcdonald Mariga, who plays for Inter Milan. Victor is a forceful presence, but he is also a great reader of the game both in attack and defence. Some would say he is a better player off the ball than on it at this moment in time; strong in the tackle, great at tracking back, excellent defensive anticipation and immediately aware of trouble around him and at the tender age of 18, this makes him a real talent to watch out for. He debuted for the Kenyan national team in May 2007 (aged 15) in a friendly against Nigeria but then made his official debut when he was 18 in the African of nations qualification group matches and now has 6 appearances for Kenya.

  10. Re: Marco Verratti i can safely admit that i did get his name from a newspaper today
  11. Marco Verratti Marco Verratti is an 16 year old attacking midfielder who currently plays for Pescara Calcio in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione, the third highest football league in Italy. Agile and dynamic, a mix between Pizarro and Giovinco, and also some people dubbing him the next Totti, Verratti is attracting a lot of interest from several clubs, including Roma, Inter, Parma, Lazio, Palermo, Lecce and West Ham, they are all on the trail of the Under 17 talent. There was a lot of speculation flying around in the recent transfer window, but there was no movement, as Marco signed a one year extension, keeping him at the club until June 2012. It has been reported that Pescara are in a bit of financial trouble, which could mean they might be forced to sell Marco at the next transfer window. Talking about his contract exection he said "I'm very happy for this extension of my contract - Pescara is the team that has seen me grow. This signature is a due measure to all the fans who have always encouraged me, and a thanks, obviously the club because it believed and believed in me." Standing at around 5ft 5", and weighing 65kg, Marco is a quick nippy midfielder, who is very dynamic and agile. As i have said above he has been likened to Sebastian Giovinco of Juventus, But at 6 years younger, this guy has a lot of ability and a lot of potential and is defiantly one to watch out for. Here is a video of him scoring a goal when Pescara played Sangiustese in a 3 - 2 victory. oeuvRH02IJw Info: First name: Marco Last name: Verratti Club: Pescara Nationality: Italian Date of birth: 05/11/1992 Age: 16 Position: Attacking Midfielder (AM) Rating: ?? ______________________________________ Stats: Pescara (2008/2009) Apps:7 Goals: 0 Pescara (2009/2010) Apps: 1 Goals: 1

  24. Michael Ngoo INFO: First name: Michael Last name: Ngoo Club: Southend Nationality: English Date of birth: 23/10/1992 Age: 16 Height: 6ft 4" Rating: ?? Position: Striker (Fwd) Michael Ngoo is a 16 year old striker who is currently on the books at Southend Centre of Excellence. At this moment in time is having a trail at Manchester Utd, where he most recently played for them in the milk cup final. In which he scored one of the goals and set up the other. It was just by luck that he was playing in the final, as him and John Cofie, came in to replace Joshua King, whose ankle injury had flared up in the semi, and Ravel Morrison, who was serving a suspension, and what an impression he made in there absences. The 16 year-old is already 6ft4 and has raised comparisons with the Spurs and England centre-forward Peter Crouch. Luke Hobbs, the Shrimpers Centre of Excellence manager, spoke of Ngoo to the official site: Michael looked pretty impressive during the Milk Cup, with good feet and good vision. He was a little raw and wasteful at times, but overall gave a good impression, none more so than in the final with a neatly taken goal and a great assist. Also as you have read above by what Luke Hobbs has said, he is very good in the air and a good finisher. Here are some reports on his goal and his assists in the milk cup final: Goal: Will Keane dropped deep and played a terrific long pass over the defence into the path of Ngoo, who initially failed to bring it under control. Robbie Brady was on hand to pick up the loose ball however, and when he cleverly picked out Ngoo with a precise cut-back, the big striker – on trial from Southend United – took a touch before coolly finishing with his left foot. Assist: When it came, it was one from the top drawer, with Etzaz Hussain starting and finishing the move. The Norwegian midfielder picked up the ball forty yards out and found Tom Thorpe in space on the right flank. Thorpe in turn found Ngoo bursting into the box and the lanky forward produced a beautiful backheel into the path of Hussain’s run, leaving the 16 year-old with the relatively simple task of sidefooting the ball home past a wrong-footed goalkeeper. He is a fantastic prospect for the future, and one to keep an eye out for. Tell me what you think, comment most appreciated:D (p.s sorry its a bit rushed and lack of detail, but i had to be as quick as possible. i will be adding to this thread when there's more info)
