    Transfer Update

    Manager Mark Swift announced a press conferance, not for the big match against West Ham United but too announce some new faces. Fulham have been busy since we last heard anything on the transfer part so here are all the deals. Steven N'Zonzi came in for a straight swap with Kagisho Dikgacoi. Eddie Johson wen't up north to Newcastle with youngster Andy Carroll coming the other way. Then Welsh boy Joe Ledley was brought in for Danny Murphy going to Cardiff. Then youngster Maxime Gonalons was on his way too Benfica when Mark made a last minute bid and brought him for £2.1m. Pascal Zuberbuhler was transferred out too Burnley for £1.9m. Rumors circulating Craven Cottage is that Bradford City youth player James Hanson is on the verge of signing whilst Huddersfield superstar Jordon Rhodes is being closely watched by Mark. So long as Toni Kallio passes a medical at Southampton his £2.4m move will be complete by tomorrow night. This is what Mark had too say about all these deals.
    (From right to left. Steven Nzonzi, Andy Carroll, Joe Ledley, Maxime Gonalons all arrived at Craven Cottage)

    (From right to left. Kagisho Dikagcoi, Eddie Johnson, Danny Murphy, Pascal Zuberhuler, Toni Kallio all left Craven Cottage)

    Vs

    Fulham Vs Toulouse

    24,605 fans turned up at Craven Cottage too see the first game of the new seson. The fans were buzzing about all the new signings and the new manager and there was a an air of optimisim around the ground. With no form or record to go on this was a match you couldn't predict. But making there debuts for Fulham were, David Wheater and Craig Bellamy. This is how the two teams lined up for the game:
    Fulham

    -- Mark Schwarzer --
    John Pantsil -- Brede Hangeland -- David Wheater -- Paul Konchesky
    Damien Duff -- Jonathan Greening -- Danny Murphy -- Clint Dempsey
    Andy Johnson -- Craig Bellamy
    Subs:
    Aaron Hughes | Dickson Etuhu | Simon Davies
    Jack Wilhsere | Bobby Zamora

    Toulouse

    -- Yohann Pele --
    Albin Ebondo -- Mauro Cetto -- Mohamed Fofana -- Cheik M'Bengue
    Ricardo Paulo Machado -- Etienne Didot -- Fode Mansare
    Xavier Pentecote -- Andre-Pierre Gignac -- Ahmed Soukouna
    Subs:
    Sebastien Hamel | Dany Nounkeu | Francois Sirieix
    Mathieu Berson | Etienne Capoue

    The game kicked off and it was Toulouse who had the first chance but Ricardo Paulo Machado's shot hit the side netting within two minutes. A minute later there was a chance at the other end and Craig Bellamy had a shot curling shot just go past the post. Center half Mohamed Fofana draged his shot wide after five minutes. Then some neat passing by the Toulouse midfield found Mohamed Fofana way out of position up front but he took his chance and slotted the ball home easily. Six minutes gone and Toulouse were one nil up.

    (Mohamed Fofana scores the first goal of the game for Toulouse)

    And yet again Mohamed Fofana had two more chances just three minutes later but couldn't capatilize on any of them. Toulouse seem to dominate the rest of the half having many good chances but not taking them. Like after twenty three minutes, Xavier Pentecote headed twoards goal but the ball just skimmed the bar. Ahmed Soukouna then missed a sitter. Then Xavier Pentecote missed an open goal and just before half time Pentecote again had a glorious oportunity but his shot hit the outside of the post. So the first half finished Fulham 0 Toulouse 1.

    (Xavier missed two amazing opportunitys to make it two nil)

    As the two teams came out for the second half unchanged we sat waiting in expectancy as too what the two managers had said at half time. Clint Dempsey started seeing more of the ball and took control of the midfield quite early on. Then a Toulouse attack earns them a corner kick, everyone piles into the box as the ball is whipped in. There is an all mighty scramble in the six yard box and it falls to the feet of Fode Mansare who smashes it straight into the keepers arms. Then Andy Johnson picks it up a ball in the opposing half and goes on an amazing run, he skips past defenders and then finds a little bit of space to unleash a magnificent shot. It flies into the top corner keeper stood no chance, thats one for the scarpbook.

    (Johnson and Davies celebrate Johnson's cracking equilizer)

    That goal was fifty eight minutes into the game. Then the on form Craig Bellamy steps up and into the game. He hasn' t had much in the game but he collects the ball about 30 yards out takes a few touches then bang! Goal! Unbelivable, that was a goal out of absolute nothing. The ball just zoomed past the keeper and into the back of the net. Craven Cottage is now bouncing within the space of two minutes they have two goals and have turned this game around. The score is now Fulham 2 Toulouse 1.

    (Craig Bellamy hits an astonishing goal to put Fulham in the lead)

    Substition for Fulham: Jonathan Greening off, Dickson Etuhu on. Clint Dempsey has a chance too make it 3-1 but his fancy footwork wasn't enough. Then a shot by Craig Bellamy is well saved by the out-strectched Yohann Pele. Then Ricardo Paulo Machado some how missed an open net, before Andre-Pierre Gignac heads inches wide. Clint Dempsey tries too win the ball back but gives away a foul and recives a yellow card for shirt pulling. Then in the 89th minute. Craig Bellamy doesn't even trouble the keeper with a free header. Full Time. Fulham 2 Toulouse 1.

    (Andy Johson picks up the man of the match award, although his manager thought it should have been Clint Dempsey)

    DE ROSSI JOINS CITY
    Italian international Daniele De Rossi has joined Manchester City- hours after Mark Hughes left for unspecified reasons. Hughes was replaced by Tom Rodwell, who is also Argentina manager. The Englishman explained why he had not held a press conference immediately.
    "I finalised my move here as manager over from Argentina, before flying straight to Rome to talk to Daniele and his agent. Thankfully both contracts were sorted extremely quickly, allowing me to fly to England and see this wonderful stadium for the first time."
    De Rossi will become a key figure in Rodwell's City, with De Rossi stating his ambitions with his new club.
    "Tom is a great manager, I know he's doing well with Argentina and has enough experience to turn the ambition at this club into glory. We can put a real challenge up for the title this year, with players like Robinho, Ade, Tevez and Kolo (Toure). I wouldn't have signed here if I didn't think the club was going places."

Lars Sohnwaldt has big hopes for this season and its not going to be very hard to win Division 1 this season, because of a lack of good teams at there. Alright,
    Now im in a bit of a dilema, i have 2 gold accounts but at the moment i dont use them. I also have my main account which i do use, but my GM has run out. I have quite a few Game Worlds already that have been taken over by SM, so if i buy a new GM i get those back. And Rep my main account is 152 and my other two are about 60. So what do i do. Do i buy another GM plus a custom with my main account or do i carry on ussing my other accounts.
    Now about the New Setup. Nothing has been decided, its all up to you. You can choose which team you want to be, throught the whole database. And what division you want to be in. Also you can suggest a name for the league, how many leagues there should be, the rules etc...
    I'm going to be Real Madrid.
    Cheers Mark. Oh if we dont get enough people i may cancel it sorry. And there is no deadline to get your team.

Also, he was called up to Scotland's Under-17 squad for their second part of their European qualifiying campain. I just think he's worth a buy when he's added to the database as I think he could brake in to the Hull team very soon. This is my first find guys so be kind:o.

    Luuk is a Dtuch forward currently playing for De Graafschap.
    He was until recently just training with the first team but after a very bad run De Graafschap decided to turn wheel after the winter break.
    They promised young Luuk a chance and he grabbed it with both, well legs:)
    He now makes a deadly striker duo with De Graafschap loanie Ben Sahar.
    Holland is going wild because they complement each other really good.
    Luuk shoud have been a CF on SM: He is 1m88 and good with his head.
    He gave Sahar the assist for the only goal this weekend.
    Was substituted after 67 minutes but this is normal because the manager asked him to give all he got and then he would be substituted.
    Marking 3 appearences with 1 start (this weekend), we can expect a lot more appearences from this kid and I'm pretty sure he will make it to on of the Dutch giants in 1 or 2 years.

    Or how many of you have been offered the job because they were there from the start of that GC?
    My guess is less than 50%
    Searching the Gc's looking for a good team is simple and easy. Trying to get a team when it is being created isnt so simple. I am in 1 GC as i dont like joining setups that have already started. Ajax GC53.

    Age: 24
    Living in: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
    Favorite club(s): Feyenoord & Liverpool
    Currently playing: World Championship 994
    Team(s) under my control:
    Feyenoord (from 15th Mar 2008 - 22nd Sep 2008)
    Games: 65
    Points: 146
    Average pts: 2.25
    -> Promoted from 4th division to 3rd
    -> Resigned because chance to sign with Liverpool, just after securing promotion to 2nd division
    Liverpool (from 22nd Sep 2008 - ...)
    Games: 26
    Points: 45
    Average pts: 1.73
    -> Started out with a mediocre team, most of good players were randomly sold by the previous manager. The *******. Relegated from first division soon after that, now steadily leading (no losses yet) in 2nd division with a whole new team. Promotion shouldn't be a problem.
    My current squad:
    Goalies: Jose Reina, Pedro Rui Patricio
    Defense: Jamie Carragher, Vasili Berezutsky, Andreas Wolf, Khalid Boulahrouz, Christoph Metzelder, Nicolas Burdisso, Barbosa Richarlyson, Javier Zanetti
    Midfield: Steven Gerard, Jose Maria Guti, Anunciado Josue, Josue David Silva, Tranquillo Barnetta

    Guiseppe Rossi, Fernando Cavenaghi
    Also Liverpudlians, but out on loan: Danijel Pranjic, Charles N'Zogbia, Cesar Villaluz, Walter Gargano, Carlos Vela.
    Thanks for keeping this game real and feel free to invite me for a friendly I'd also like squad suggestions or the best lineup possible!! It's quite difficult to form a standard 11.

    MarkSwift2 reacted to Hesse in The Cash Transfer Coalition Gold Setup - A Proposal
    I am starting this thread after a discussion that went on in the Gold Championships Discussion thread about a week or so ago. (I know I was amazed that an actual discussion took place there to! )
    Well I have the bare bones of an idea, which would mean large scale forumer participation if the idea takes off, and may result in a new Gold Setup that everybody actually wants to be a part of. I am sitting here particularly bored tonight, so thought I would share the basics of the idea, although I concede, I have yet to think about it in too much detail yet, and would welcome any input that anyone would have.
    The idea came to me when a certain respected forumer made the following comment when debating inactivity in Gold Championship transfer markets, and how the new proposed fixture schedule may help this:
    Now' date=' the way I see it, there is no reason why we can't do this on the forum; and this is how I propose it will work:
    - Firstly anybody interested in being involved in such a Coalition will need to post on this thread, possibly by a set deadline; although I have yet to decide this. By agreeing to join the Coalition you are agreeing to only deal in cash or one for one swap deals within the setup that we decide to join;
    - I propose that a list of the prospective Coalition members be posted, again on this thread, after the close of any set deadline, and that if anyone should have an objection to certain Managers being permitted to be in the Coalition due to previous activity in Gold Set-ups such as "club-hopping"; then they should PM me within 7 days of the list being published, and I will decide (possibly with a panel?) if there is good reason for exclusion from the Coalition. It is important that all those who join at the start are in this for the long-haul, or else the Coalition will fall apart very quickly! At the end of the 7 day period, all selected Coalition members will be notified;
    - We will then need to target a "set-time" created Gold set-up, the reasons for which will become clear below. I would suggest that we do not target the next one so as to allow time for the necessary organisation that this exercise will involve. A particular SM Dev has gone on record recently as saying that SM plan to have a set-time creation, followed by a random and then an un-announced and will then create in that order until further notice;
    - Dependent on the level on interest I will then set up a lottery by which to make sure everyone in the Coalition gets a team that is worth having, and doing transfers with. Everybody will be assigned with a target team first, second and third choice. For instance, if 10 people join the coalition then they're 1st target will be ranked between 1-10 from the SM ranking list, their second target team ranked between 11-20, and their third ranked team between 21-30. I appreciate that we have no control over "non-forumers" entering the setup, hence why setting this system to ensure that as many as possible within the Coalition can be competitive in the transfer market;
    - Once we have all joined the setup, ONE predefined member will then send a PM out to all managers within the setup advertising what we are trying to do and asking them to support us in our goal for a "cash-only, or one for one deal Gold Setup";
    - Obviously there is no real way of enforcing the rules of the Coalition (until such time hopefully that SM enforce it - even as an experiment!), so what we are effectively looking at is a strict code of honour. I am looking to attract the most respected of forum members to this idea, and I'm sure if we get the right people on board, the potential barracking they would receive for an infringement of the Coalition honour code will be sufficient to put them off! You will be entering into an agreement based on your honour and your standing within the forum community. What we need to be careful of, however is that we do not use this as a means to bully members!
    I know that this is a rather long-winded and possibly boring idea to some, but I am just trying to come up with a possible solution to some of the problems within gold setups, such as inactive transfer markets and new Golds not being particularly exciting and competitive for many forumers.
    SoP has after all here hit on a particularly good idea, and all I am looking to do is to put some meat on the bones, and get the idea rolling. If anyone has any further ideas to add then discuss away!

    You should all know this anyway this is my trick im not repaeating it.
    Step 1 - Standard Setups are only created on the hour. There are 3 setupd created an hour, this is not every hour.
    Step 2 - Look at the total number of setups, see if it increases.
    Step 3 - Take English Championship for example, there are the last 5 game worlds e.g. 1000, 999, 998, 997, 996.
    Step 4 - In the brackets it may say (1001) When there isnt one. This meaning it is being created.
    Step 5 - Give it 2/3 minutes of refeshing and it shall eventually come up in the last 5 game worlds.
    Step 6 - Dive Dive Dive, it is hard at first but eventually you get good teams.

    Gold Championship 50

    Sky Sports Exclusive: New England Revolution club officials have finally confirmed the signing of arguably the world's best manager, William Chen just a few hours ago. It took intense talks, but New England shrugged off bids from Ajax and FC Porto to finally secure his signature. William will arrive in the United States later today where it is believed that he will be meeting up with President Bush, who was delighted to hear William taking over his favorite team, The New England Revolution.
    Heres what the man himself had to say to the Sky Sports News Team at the Brisbane International Airport.

    NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION TRANSFERS
    The start of a new season usually sees an abundance of Transfers and for New England, this is no different. New England Manager, William Chen has already begun his quest to reshape the New England side in being competitive in this years SMFA competition. A host of experienced players such as defenders, Javier SANGUINETTI and Ever PALACIOS have been signed to ensure that the side does not leak too many 'soft' goals.

    Having good defenders is one thing, but having strong midfielders is just as Important. The midfield is vital, and when New England comes across sides like Arsenal, guys like Nasri and Fabregas need to be contained and out players must not be too intimidated. Manager William Chen has yet again secured deals for midfield veterans Niclas ALEXANDERSSON and Jocelyn BLANCHARD, both are very experienced in controlling the ball in the center.

    Every team needs a leader, and today, Manager William Chen has announced that new signing, Bart GOOR will captain the side this season.
    To win games' date=' you need prolific goal scorers, and with New England Manager, William Chen recently visiting the Austrian league, he has managed to sign Austrian sensation, [b']Marc JANKO[/b]. William hopes that Janko can replicate his Red Bull Salzburg form of 27 goals in 15 games at his new club, New England.

    Last but not least, Manager William Chen would like to express his appreciation and thanks to Milan manager, Matt Jewiss for allowing Ferreira EMERSON and Giuseppe FAVALLI to play for New England on loan deals.

    The New England Manager hopes to sign a few more players before the season officially begins.

    MLS - MATCH PREVIEW

    MATCHDAY 1
    VS
    NEW ENGLAND CHIVAS USA
    You couldnt ask for a better matchup in week 1. Two of the toughest teams in the MLS will be fighting it out in a couple of days time in what is expected to be a near capacity crowd at Gillette. The 1st games of the season are always the hardest to predict as both managers will be completely unaware of the style and formations that will be used.
    New England posses very strong central midfielders. The fact that Manager, WillC has already stated to play an attacking style, the 3-4-1-2 formation looks the way to go for them. Chivas USA, who have yet to be active in the transfer market, have a squad filled with depth which will no doubt benefit them during the middle stages of the season. Manager WillC has publicly stated that in order for New England to win, their defenders must be able to contain the electrifying pace of Chivas midfielders, Raphael WICKY and Sacha KLJESTAN.
    PREDICTION

    Both teams will field their best possible sides on Saturday Night which will no doubt, make this contest a free-flowing and very enjoyable game to watch. Both teams are almost impossible to split on paper, but with a very large and hostile crowd expected to turn up at Gillette, Chivas may just have a tough night at the office.
    NEW ENGLAND - 2
    CHIVAS USA - 0
