  1. https://m.soundcloud.com/world-football-index/moises-caicedo-scout-report-independiente-del-valle-ecuador This podcast breaks down Caicedo, if anyone is interested.
  2. Yeah, I get that. I just don't think it matters who you play for if you haven't kicked a ball for them. Another random SM decision!
  3. Seven Botman got a +3. His last review was on 29 March and he hasn't played since then!! Huh? I'm not complaining as I have him, but still - what's up with that?
  4. I was hoping Ukraine and Russia would be next as they are well overdue. Still, whoever they do, I hope the reviews will be done at a quicker pace than Brazil and Argentina! Sorry if that makes me sound like a grumpy old man 😂
  5. Surely they'll cover Marquinhos and rise him from 70.... right? 😬 I vaguely remember them missing out most Norwich players a few English reviews ago, but they went back and reviewed them. If SM forgets a team, they're normally good at making up for it. Hopefully the same happens here too.
  6. Also, it would be difficult for the guys on the podcast to capture all the prospects from across the continent. They picked out one or two players from different countries, which means they won't have time to mention everyone, which is why Veron etc were missed.
  7. They did a whole episode on Pellistri a few weeks back. One on Ivan Franco too. You might want to check those out. When is your first podcast on Belgian football dropping? I'd tune in for that! 😊
  8. Hello Just thought I'd mention there was a World Football Index podcast a few days ago (questions from listeners part 2) where they discussed quite a few young South American prospects (some raw prospects, not just the obvious ones like Almada etc). Definitely worth a listen for anyone looking to do a bit more research and have something good to listen to as well.
  9. Hi folks, I've had a look through the Eredivisie to look at some of the best risers in the league. This is based on pure stats (mostly a sense-check of whether someone is young and getting regular game time) so if someone with more knowledge of the league wants to come in and correct me on anything, please feel free to do so. I'm doing this on my phone so my apologies for the poor formatting 😬😂 Evert Lindhorst - M C - 73 - VVV-Venlo Amadou Ciss - M,AM,F C - 73 - Fortuna Sittard Mats Knoester - D C - 70 - Heracles Sven Botman - D C - 73 - Aj
  10. According to Flash Score, Adrian Lozano has only played 8 league games this season and 1 last season. 76 feels about right. Is he any relation to Chucky Lozano?
  11. Merino looks like a slightly better long term prospect, and he should rise to 87 next review. I don't know much about Jordan, but my very unscientific research (searching comments about him on Twitter) suggests he's highly thought of. However, as he's younger and they'll probably both be 87 in a few weeks time, I'd go Merino.
  12. It's worth bearing in mind Defoe is only backup to Alfredo Morelos so I wouldn't say he's totally safe. That said, his scoring record is good so far.
  13. Tadic +10 for that assist.... absolute filth.
  14. I'm kinda surprised Erick Gutierrez didn't get a ratings increase from 86. That's just me going by the statistics - maybe someone with Eredivisie viewing experience can confirm how well he's been playing?
  15. I'd sell van de Beek. The rest, it's too close to call for me. Depending on your defenders, I'd be tempted to play de Jong at centre half to try and keep everyone happy.
  16. With Argentina coming up for review, there are a couple of players there I expect to have their rating increased to about 85. Alan Franco Fabrizio Bustos Matias Zaracho Also Matias Vargas of Velez Sarsfield (85) seems to be highly rated. Nahitan Nandez (86) should increase too.
  17. With the Mexico review underway, here's a couple of youngsters I fancy for decent risers. Feel free to add names or disagree - my findings are purely stat-based, I don't watch Mexican football: Roberto Alvarado of Cruz Azul (80) - playing for the NT and getting plenty of game time. Erick Aguirre of Pachuca (83) - only likely to get about a +2 but seems to be getting a bit of a reputation Jorge Sanchez of Club America (82) - getting plenty of game time and at 20, seems one for the future Sebastian Ferreira of Monarcas Morelia (76) - good scoring record, but may be too
  18. Does anyone have any thoughts on what's likely to be the next league to be reviewed? Will they do Brazil before the big 5? Or just a few more weeks of reviewing some players from lower-ranked leagues/countries at random?
  19. Balbuena, I think. Depends on the strength of your overall squad and what youth players you have that are coming through. Balbuena stands a decent chance of going to 88 (played every minute for West Ham). Soumaoro & Lala (based on stats, not knowledge) look to me like a stick-on for going to 86. Balbuena could feasibly hit 89 if he keeps getting game time & West Ham keep their form up.
  20. Mario Hermoso from Espanyol seems to be doing well. Got linked to Real Madrid, but thankfully that didn't materialise as otherwise he'd probably be on the bench! Malang Sarr from Nice too.
  21. I would vote to keep Lanzini. Trebel is 27 and plays for Anderlecht - his rating is unlikely to go up. Lejeune is coming back from injury and is 87 - his rating probably won't increase, either. And I saw a Welsh newspaper article yesterday said 'Why former Swansea City skipper Alfie Mawson's start at Fulham really hasn't gone well". Not a good sign! I wouldn't trade Lanzini for them. Hold out for better options, if you're short in defence or anywhere else.
