Alvaro Negredo and Kwadwo Asamoah were reported as the immediate transfer targets of Ince had it was seen as bids had already been lodged for the pair. When asked about this Ince said "I can confirm my interest in these two players as I see them as 2 good young players who will boost the team and Negredo is particularly required to partner Villa as Morientes I’m afraid to say is getting on in years. Thomas Ince was appointed new Real Madrid manager on a 4 year deal which will keep him at the club till 2013. 15. Re: Gold Championship 56 Match Reporhttp://www.soccermanager.com/foruts/Transfer News Villarreal Back In Business Villarreal came into tonight’s home game at the El Madrigal stadium on the back of two disappointing results for them the first was an home defeat to a very good Deportivo side which shocked many Villarreal fans at the poor performance of there team during this game. Next was the 2-2 draw at home in the champions cup on the Friday against English giants Manchester United which many at Villarreal thought that they should of won as they had controlled the pace and play off the game throughout the match. Malaga was tonight’s visitors to take on the task of playing Villarreal and there was a surprise for all when Robert Pires was named in the starting lineup for the match. Before the game in his pre match interview Thomas Ince said "I am looking forward to tonight’s game I decided to recall Pires as we much needed his experience and his knowledge of how to play the right pass at the right time for our team tonight." At 20:00pm the game kicked off and Villarreal were immediately on the attack with Ibagaza hitting the crossbar on just the 5th minute and it was that man who created the first goal just 4 minutes later on when after a nice pass to Rossi who’s wicked shot took a cruel deflection off Welington and looped over the keepers head into the top hand corner of the goal. There was joy around the stadium as it looked like Villarreal were back to there usual free flowing selves. However that confidence was gone just two minutes later when Eliseu capitalized on a mistake by the experienced left back Capdevila to side foot the ball home into the net there was anger around the stadium directed at Capdevila as many off the crowd thought he should of knew better then attempt that ridiculous backpass. However that anger was turned two joy on the 13th minute when the very impressive Ibagaza darted past two defenders and drove the ball into the roof of the net this got the crowd going again and the "Ibagaza Ibagaza Ibagaza" chants were roaring round the ground the first player to celebrate the goal was Capdevila who looked hugely relieved that his earlier mistake didn’t seem to be too costly at this moment of time." The scored stayed 2-1 into the second half when Villarreal made a triple substitution with Fernandez Franco, Javi Venta coming on for Ibagaza Cygan and Pires this was to prove vital in the 3rd Villarreal goal which came only two minutes later as Franco’s headed was saved and put behind for a corner which Fernandez went across to take which was beautifully swung into the box right onto the head of Rossi who thundered the ball into the top of the net past the stranded keeper. And the game was over on the 72nd minute when man of the match Nihat struck with fury from the edge of the area with a crisp shot which flew into the bottom corner of the goal leaving the keeper no chance this special goal was a great way to round of sound a good team performance. After the game Thomas Ince said "I am truly delighted with my teams performance today i was very pleased with the way they took there chance and the quickness of the passing if we can continue with this we are guaranteed to do well with our team this season. 25,000 Packed Into The El Madrigal To Watch The Game

  20. Re: Gold Championship 1 News Tottenham Gain First Win Under New Boss There was an atmosphere of great expectation and curiosity at White Hart Lane for tonight’s 7.45pm kick off which sees Tottenham under new boss Thomas Ince play there first game at the famous stadium since the new boss came in to take control of the team. All 36,00 seats were filled for the game and before the game Thomas Ince has this to say "I cant look forward to my first game at home anymore this is going to be a very special moment for me and everyone at the club as I hope to be successful for the board myself and mostly the fans." The only surprises to the first team line up were Giuly and Martin who most people were betting on would not start the game. But it was that key decision of including Martins in the sqaud which was key in Spurs taking the lead on the 3rd minute of the game after Martins slid the ball into the net after some extremely nice work on the wing by Ben Arfa this was the best start to the game and you could see the smile already on the managers face. However the smile was soon gone on the 19th minute when Watford equalized after a stupid mistake by Rodriguez in the spurs defence he was able to round the keeper and easily put the ball into the open net after this mistake you could see the anger on the mangers face as it was such a terrible error But the smile came back as quickly had it was wiped off when on the 25th minute Martin scored what only could be described as a special strike as he whacked the ball home from 25yards out which shot like an arrow into the top corner of the Watford goal and put the Tottenham fans into raptures with chants off "Oba Oba Oba" ringing round White Hart Lane to the strikers obvious delight. It remained that way until ten minutes into the second half when Ben Arfa made it 3-1 to Spurs when he turned nicely on the edge off the area and slotted home into the far hand corner of the Watford Goal which was the signal of the end as there seemed no coming back from being 2 goals behind for Watford as Tottenham were clearly dominating proceedings and lucked very comfortable on the ball. However Watford in typical Watford fashion refused to lay down and the score was 3-2 on the 68th minute when Junior headed in from an in swinging corner which had a very shaky Tottenham defence in trouble which was easy to put into the net for Junior. However on the 77th minute it was definitely game over when the lead became 4-2 when a clever pass from Kuranyi sent Arshavin through on goal and he sidefooted the ball into the net after it had bounced off the post first. This was a great end to a very good game for Tottenham and at the end of the game the 32,000 Tottenham fans stayed behind and applauded the team and awaited for the managers eagerly awaited pre match interview for the fans when asked what he thought about his first game in charge Thomas Ince said "I am happy with today’s win we played a resilient Watford team who would never give in and apart from some dodgy defending we would of won very easily today which was a very good sign for me and the coaching staff. 22. Re: Gold Championship 55 Transfers / Match Report Thread Portsmouth Update Portsmouth season has been staying steadily after the win at Hull a reserve team sent out by Pompy for there cup game away at Bristol were beaten on penalties after a very close game away. Then a shocking 4-0 home defeat to Newcastle which was extremely demoralizing for the team and they looked to get back on there feet as soon as they possibly could. Then came two 0-0 draws first away at Sunderland which was a tight close affair then a great draw away in Stuttgart in the SMFA shield which put Pompy in a great state for the next round. Then Pompy got back on the winning track with a 1-0 win at home to a strong Everton side which got the Pompy faithful happy and celebrating again. In a interview Thomas Ince said "I am happy with the way our season is going we are keeping up our aim off getting in the Smfa Shield places again next season which i hope will please the fans as much as it will me."
