kratick reacted to AArulz in Rahul W's rating predictions
Hey all, I started a new predictions' thread about the Faroe Islands Premier League. It's quite a weak league and not very well-known so it hasn't been looked at for a while by SM. Since nobody else seemed to be doing so, I figured I could have a go at predicting player ratings and such for the league. Considering the competition is so weak, there's unlikely to be too many risers there - it's mostly just a fun project rather than any serious scouting.
If anyone's interested, here's a link to the thread: https://forum.soccermanager.com/topic/170522-the-faroe-islands-premier-league-betri-deildin-menn/
I just started the thread today, so no rating predictions as of yet but they'll come in the following days!
I decided not to post the predictions here in this thread since it might have all gotten a bit cluttered and lost amongst everything + I figured it might also be worthwhile having some new active threads going on in other more dead/inactive parts of the forum.
Let me know what you think, thanks! Feedback/constructive criticism always welcome!

Bit of an unconventional league for a change, here's a look at the first division in the Faroe Islands (The Faroe Islands Premier League, also known as Betri deildin menn). There's unlikely to be many profitable risers here, so it's more of a fun project rather than proper scouting.
A lot of players are missing from the database and some clubs are completely absent too. The highest rated player in the SM database who played/plays for a team in the Betri deildin menn had a 77 rating, so I'll use that number as the absolute maximum rating cap. I'll try and cover all the players in all the teams, even if they are not currently in the SM database.
From tomorrow onwards, I'll hopefully do a daily post about one team in the league. Today's post will serve as an introductory post for the country and the league in general.
A Brief Overview of the Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands is a North Atlantic archipelago located 320 kilometres north-northwest of Scotland, and about halfway between Norway and Iceland. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. The islands have a total area of about 1,400 square kilometres with a population of 51,783 as of June 2019.

It comprises 18 rocky, volcanic islands, connected by road tunnels, ferries, causeways and bridges. Hikers and bird-watchers are drawn to the islands’ mountains, valleys and grassy heathland, and steep coastal cliffs that harbor thousands of seabirds.

A Brief Overview of the League

The Faroe Islands Premier League (also known as Betri deildin menn) is the top level of football in the Faroe Islands and was founded in 2005, being organised by the Faroe Islands Football Association.
It is contested by 10 clubs. At the end of each season, two teams are relegated and two promoted from 1. deild (the 2nd division). All teams in the league have semi-professional status.
The 2019 season ran from 10/03/2019 to 26/10/2019, with KÍ Klaksvík being crowned champions. As of the end of that season, the Faroe Islands Premier League was ranked 53rd out of 55 in the UEFA coefficient.
The following teams will compete in the 2020 season:
KÍ Klaksvík     B36 Tórshavn     NSÍ Runavík     HB Tórshavn     Víkingur Göta     Skála IF     AB Argir     TB Tvöroyri     EB/Streymur     ÍF Fuglafjördur Tomorrow's post will be about KÍ Klaksvík.
    Thanks for reading!

So I tried to offer my mbappe to a fellow manager in exchange for sancho+havertz. He flat out refused. Was that such a bad deal?

They’ve shut down all forms of contact.  You just get faults when trying to raise a ticket now.  They genuinely don’t care.  Even doing PayPal reclaims (which I won) they don’t take action against cheats.
Their ‘customer service’ is the worst of any company that I’ve ever encountered.  I’m not simply saying that to be cliches or dramatic, I’m saying it because I genuinely believe it’s true and I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with some very incompetent and vexatious organisations in my time.

In fact we've created such GW within our group. one was a pure draft with 300 mil budget, the biggest challenge was to complete the draft owing to people from different timezones.. We created a whatsapp group that kinda addressed this. There is another where we had an auction system to determine who gets what player at what price.

Wow, Bonnuci dropped. Wasn't expecting that. Defender with the most minutes in title winning team, and Juventus only lost once with him starting in 28 games. They lost 3 times in the 10 games he didn't start or played in.

I'm a little disappointed to see Lloris not getting a +1. World cup winner, finals of CL and a pretty decent season. Not sure how becker goes to 94 while lloris is at 92.

Isn't it all relative? Teams below these two had players in the mid 80s rating, while Arsenal and ManU had players at 93 and 92 with really nothing to show for. It makes sense that they come down closer to 90 while the ones from the teams just below them rise close to 90 as well.

Both Mane and Sterling. But Sterling being younger and with City would be my Choice.
    Paulista 75/25. Gomez 50/50

If you keep a backup striker of 92/93, they will quickly develop concerns unless they play a lot of games. Go for someone younger and a lower rating like Rodrygo or Jovic if you get them.

Kratick said it well. He really should drop. In 40 apps overall this season, he only has 13 goals and 3 assists, which is quite poor for a player of his calibre.

He has to drop. In no sane world should higuain be rated the same as Mbappe, Firmino and above Sane.

Can and Keita. You don't want to sell Sule as he's going to be the mainstay of German and Bayern defense for the next few years with Boateng and Hummels out of favor.

I'd say Can. Keita's not seeing much playing time at liverpool but he's younger. SMS is due a big move soon.

Deffo keep Aranguiz, I think he'll keep 90 for now.
Fabregas should keep his 91 in the summer review considering he only dropped in January and now has regular football.
Wanyama is 50/50 for a drop for me, he only recently got -1 so another could be harsh, but even now he's back from injury he's not playing. But I'd get rid of him while he still has some value, plus he's the most likely to decrease in rating.
I'm no expert on their reserve side, so I'd really just be looking up stats to make decisions, but what I would say is that an awful lot of Barca B players never do much, and they tend to have higher value than other equal age/rating players at other clubs. So I'd probably be getting rid of most and exchanging them for similar age/rating players who have a much better chance of breaking through in the next season or 2.
Just seen your update, so see below for my 2 pence...
    In terms of likelihood...
    De Ligt - Havertz - Robertson - van Dijk - Bernado Silva - Pogba - Frenkie - Sane - Mbappe - Jesus - Stones - Marquinos
First 4 I'd say almost certainly will, next 2 likely, then the rest I'd expect to stay. But it'll depend on final league and CL positions.
No chance of Christensen rising, I'd be more concerned that he might drop if he wasn't only 22. Willian should be fine at 92 but unlikely to go higher.
Jesus is the best long term option, but for now I'd go for the duo. If you don't have great depth then one injury can really mess things up, so the duo makes the most sense to me.
Still a good deal. You have an instant replacement for Eriksen, admittedly one rating below but still a 93 who will at least keep that for some time. So Ramsey is a bonus. He's back playing and doing well, and if he gets plenty of games at Juve he'll rise again next season. Coutinho won't be going over 94 for a while, if ever, and could even drop in the next year unless he can secure another big move or start doing better at Barca.
Strootman is the safer option. Younger and playing for a decent European team.
If it's just back up then Paulinho is a good option as well - he's cheaper and moving to China (even before he went back to Barca on loan) didn't seem to effect his rating. Still playing for Brazil as well.
Well, I'd guess Madrid think he has that potential if they're paying all that money for him. The move alone should get him a +1, then it depends on whether he gets a game. If there are the big changes that some people are predicting at Real, and with Zidane back in charge, he could prove to be a bargain.
    It's a few 'ifs' though...
Well I wouldn't be getting too excited. He'll need a move and at least half a season of playing well to hit 90, so that could take a while. Better options out there.
Given the potential of Jesus I'd say that's not a bad offer. Neres should get a rise next review, but if he's still at Ajax that might not be until early next year. I'm sure the Italian guys have seen more of SMS than I have, and no one seems to be able to make their minds up on him, so if you have replacements in the squad I'd get Jesus.
I think Morata might be safe but the others could well drop.
As far as I'm aware as long as it's green it doesn't make any difference. I don't think the game engine is that sophisticated, especially not with thousands and thousands of players needing those kind of minor tweaks all the time.
  25. Thanks

I have a different take here. Ronaldo is 99 and will remain so for at least 2 more seasons. The only real threat to him going below 95-96 is him retiring. Mbappe maybe reaches 97-99 in the next 3 years, but you'll win a lot more trophies by then with messi and ronaldo. Even if mbappe goes to 96-97 at 22 years of age, he'll cost more than 100 mil and you won't be able to leverage that high a price with good trades. In addition to that you're getting money to invest in youngsters plus pulisic. Go for it.
