  1. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 On the subject of Ginter, given his recent injury problems, is he thought to still have done enough to get 82 if, say, he happened to be reviewed next week?
  2. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Thanks for the welcome. I'll be lucky to avoid relegation this season in all honesty, given the tiny squad and resources, but I enjoy a challenging game so I'll see how I can do. We'll certainly need to sell to buy though. Of course, the game was kind enough to take one of my few highly rated players out injured for 7 weeks in my very first game!
  3. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Pleased to get a decent draw in my first match as AFC Bournemouth manager, against a strong Leicester side, given that the side had lost its previous six games. I can put a decent first XI together, but the squad strength isn't great. My resources are also very limited, so improving the situation is a challenge, but that's what I took this team for. Started off with releasing loads of 70 rated players.

    Prize Money

When do you receive prize money please? I won a cup in a custom setup last night, but despite my finances screen telling me I won £3,500,000, it doesn't seem to have appeared in my finances?
  5. Re: English Premiership Rating Predictions 2012/13 Suso and Andre Wisdom are another two young players who should get large rises (not quite as large as Sterling, but still considerable). Dani Pacheco should get a decent one too, and is worth keeping for the future. Conor Coady, Adam Morgan and Samed Yesil are good prospects for the future (should get small rises this time out). Jonjo Shelvey and Joe Allen should get a +2/+1 at least, respectively. Get rid of Joe Cole and Stewart Downing ASAP, and consider losing Jordan Henderson and Jamie Carragher as well. If you can replace him with a younger player of similar rating, then Steven Gerrard might be a good one to move on, as he's only going to drop in future now that he's faded in real life.
  6. Re: Serie A Rating Predictions 2012/13 I'm afraid it most likely is, SM had a 'break' from Monday until Thursday last week as well, and when they got started against they just picked up from where they had left off, at the same pace as before.

  8. Re: Bundesliga Ratings 2012/2013 Ronny Philip (the 60 rated lad) making his debut for Augsburg in the cup tonight, against Bayern Munich of all teams!

  11. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ To think, presuming SM are still following the Big 5 system, that they started the changes with France in November, come mid-December and we'e only seen France and maybe 60-70% of Italy reviewed. SM will go for their Christmas break with at least 2 (but probably 3) of the major leagues still wildly out of date, not to mention the second tier leagues like Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal. I've tried to avoid simply criticising SM in this thread lately, preferring to try and stay constructive, but enough is enough, this is getting silly. Today's 'break' in the Italian review now means that there has now been, effectively, a full working week wasted whilst doing them, and it just doesn't add up. Once again, if SM gave us some kind of reassurance or explanation about the current system it might not be so bad, but instead we still haven't gotten beyond the 'automated' responses. SM, please, sort it out, you're ruining what is a great game. Offer your users a clear explanation on what is going on, and make sure that the system is implemented properly, that's all we ask.

  13. Re: Official Manchester City Thread Fans throwing coins (and other items) is a disgrace and should not be tolerated at all. However, it was rather brainless of Ferdinand to think nothing bad would come of inciting the fans of his team's biggest rivals in such a heated derby match just after his team has scored a last minute winner, and in the rivals stadium to boot. Still, footballers aren't always known for thinking logically, particularly in the heat of the moment.
  14. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ Regarding Milik, I was astonished to see him get such a big rise. I realise he has done pretty well in Poland and has made a few international appearances, but a straight +8 to 84 for a player from a Polish club whose highest rated individual (beside Milik) is only 82 seems a bit off kilter. 82 really should have been his limit in my personal opinion, coupled with yesterday's astronomical rises for Obiang and Stevanovic it certainly seems that the ratings system has become very generous towards younger stars. Perhaps trying to compensate for the fact that Poland isn't going to be reviewed again (as a league), so wanting to, when a SW user flags them up, make sure the top players in those leagues that won't ever get an overall review again, will be rated highly enough to be top players there for the foreseeable future?
  15. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ I have to say JMH_daggers, your willingness to try and help others with their questions (whether you succeed or not) in this thread, is very positive to see. I can't help but think that if only SM themselves could adopt the same approach in dealing with their users much of this doubt wouldn't exist.
  16. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ I have to say, seeing Eto'o not drop even when he was actually brought to SM's attention shocked me, too.

  18. Re: East Asian Club Championship - New gameworld opened Yes, I apologise for qutting guys. But, after the two disappointing opening defeats (and the frustrating way they occured), and having missed out on a number of my transfer targets thanks to poor AI bidding, I just couldn't see a way forward. Good luck for the future.

  20. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ The star post of this entire thread, I hope SM's people take note of this one even if they ignore every other one.
  21. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ The problem for me is that they have already done France and started Italy (which is now in limbo' date=' for no apparent reason) in the traditional fashion despite clearly having already come to this decision before them. We had random risers from SoccerWiki even whilst they were still doing leagues all at once. Plus, I just find it hard to believe the whole game is going to be [b']solely[/b] based on random updates from SoccerWiki, can you imagine how widly inconsistent the database is going to be if this is the new way. Besides, this is basically the general answer they've been giving to all kinds of questions about ratings, I really was hoping for a clearer answer that's more geared to my question. If they hadn't done leagues after coming to this decision, I'd agree with you wholeheartedly. Just spotted this part of your post, this is basically the issue, the lack of any real clarification means you're left having to fill in the blanks yourself.
  22. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ So does this mean all leagues (major and minor) will no longer be updated in one go, at all? Where does this leave the Italian review that you started which seems to have stopped? Is there any possibility for allowing users to make more than one type of change on SoccerWiki at a time, it really limits how many changes one person can make when they want to contribute a lot?
  23. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ I second this.
