  1. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ One thing that certainly needs doing is to allow users to make more than one edit on SW. There are several players I'd love to help them update from other leagues, but I can't do a thing because I made a positional change to Ashley Westwood of Aston Villa, so I'm stuck waiting for him to be changed before I can do anything else.
  2. Re: East Asian Club Championship - New gameworld opened I've only got two rubbish bids, not going to help in the slightest.
  3. Re: Official Newcastle Utd thread Not one player came out of that game with any positives (Ben Arfa was silent aside from his goal). The service to Ba was terrible and Cisse doesn't even look like a footballer at the moment. The free-kick was a completely unnecessary one thanks to a stupid foul from Tiote and the marking for the goal that resulted from it was horrendous. It was a completely avoidable goal for both of these things and it was something of a lucky break for a Fulham side, not particularly high on confidence going into the game themselves, that had begun to look a tad shaky after the equaliser, which seemed to have galvanise Newcastle towards a first away win. Why on earth did Pardew leave bringing on Marveaux, who has looked decent enough lately, until the last ten minutes?
  4. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Two goals against the weakest team in the Champions League, and two goals against a struggling, underpeforming Sunderland (probably followed by a few goals against weaker teams in Japan this week). He's going to have to do more than that to prove he's back to an acceptable level.
  5. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ Doesn't seem like any teams have been reviewed today...
  6. Re: Hot DM© He's nothing like as good a prospect as Pogba (certainly should be your first choice!), but if you need a decent, cheap back-up for this position you could get Ashley Westwood of Aston Villa. Currently rated at only 72 but has become a regular starter for them so should get a big rise. Admittedly, he's currently considered a D(RLC),DM©, but he should change to DM©, M© when the EPL is done soon.
  7. Re: Hot DM© Paul Pogba fits the bill perfectly. He's on the cusp of a decent increase this week and is rated as a star of the future.

  10. Re: Serie A Rating Predictions 2012/13 Fair enough, I guess that's the problem when you basing your opinion solely on stats.
  11. Re: Serie A Rating Predictions 2012/13 To be fair, Mario Sampirisi rose to 82 with far more minutes than him, so did he really deserve to get above 83?
  12. Re: The Danish ''Superliga'' Prediction 2012 In all honesty, I don't know, SM have radically altered the way they do player changes in the last month (such as abolishing the announcements of which leagues they're working on) without offering any explanation so it's all guesswork at the moment. They do, however, seem to be placing a greater emphasis on the role SoccerWiki plays in ratings, so it seems that we may well see more seemingly random risers as and when people alter the details of performing players on SW. Like I say though, it's all guesswork since we can't ask SM for any guidance.
  13. Re: The Danish ''Superliga'' Prediction 2012 They've actually been doing just that a lot recently (players from Israel, Cyprus and the Scottish Third Division all had changes today, and they rose players from Argentina and Japan last week), and it looks set to continue given the abolition of telling users what league is being done and when.
  14. Re: The Danish ''Superliga'' Prediction 2012 I don't think so, both Okore and Cornelius (Kasper Kusk also) had positional changes on Soccerwiki, so that is the likely reason they rose. Besides, when SM review a league they tend to start from the bottom and work their way up, and thus they wouldn't start with FC Copenhagen, Aalborg or Nordsjaelland.
  15. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........
  16. A bit of a silly question, but I was just wondering whether it is possible to sell players to external teams (as opposed to human and unmanaged teams) whilst a transfer window is closed. I know it's a bit of a strange question, but since it's only selling and doesn't benefit your squad I thought there might be a small chance the game allows you to move players on outside of the gameworld.

  18. Re: Riferimento: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy.. Thanks for that, I have seen that happen before, so I guess that confirms this is someting SM are likely to do. Although I changed Cornelius (FC Copenhagen) last month, and he didn't have a rating change when his position changed, so who knows.
  19. Re: Riferimento: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy.. Who knows, since SM have decided to do away with any form of customer service it's pure guesswork to work out what they're doing now. since they won't tell us and we can't ask them. I was looking forward to getting Kusk when Denmark was done, look how that works. They've certainly started on Italy though. Did anyone submit changes for the random players who rose today? EDIT - On twitter, this is all SM will tell us: "data is continually transferred over from @SoccerWiki on a daily basis. This data appears within Player Changes and New Players."
  20. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Beating Nordsjaelland won't make the slightest bit of difference, surely, they're hardly giants of Europe! It's not like Chelsea had any problems against them with Di Matteo in charge either.
  21. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ Yes, I've seen you say that and I agree.
  22. Re: East Asian Club Championship - New gameworld opened Kashima have just placed bids on several players, a tad early...
  23. Re: Guess at next leagues to be reviewed, & discuss SM's review policy........ It's not much good for lower league clubs who rely on buying risers at the right time to survive' date=' though (and can't afford to absorb months of a players wage before he is reviewed). How your view these development depends on how you play the game really, it won't matter as much to a team that has decent resources of course, it's just a shame SM can't continue to cater for everyone, but that's life. You're right though, at least we can now see what's going on again, that's good. I'm sure they'll still look at the suggested changes before deciding whether to implement them in the game or not, it just means that the users do more of the work and bring a wider variety of players to their attention. It would at least benefit the quality of lesser league ratings which tend to slip a year or more out of date at times. It wouldn't be too dissimilar to the way predictions threads work on here now that I think about it.
