    Feel for Brad Jones (Liverpool keeper, on loan to Derby). Honest Australian keeper currently at Liverpool. An 18 month battle with leukaemia.
    Brad Jones, ex-team mates at Middlsebrough wore black armbands for the kid against Blackpool last night.
    Rest in Peace little Luca.

    ROBIN VAN PERSIE
    Finally off to a good club in a complicated deal with Arsenal. They probably get the better overall deal but pretty happy with it anyway.
    The deal:
    Stage 1: Sanchez + Alcantara for van Persie
    Stage 2: Walcott + Arteta for Mascherano
    Stage 3: Sell Keita for C/V to Arsenal
    Stage 4: Loan Wilshire till I can find better CM cover.

    Match Preview Round 1: Lyngby BK vs Melbourne Heart.
    VS
    What looks to be an exciting match approaching, it is unknown how this match will turn out. Both teams have recruited well, but it will be Lyngby with the home advantage with Heart having to travel 20 hours to the other side of the world. Heart will be relying on captain for the season, Aaron Ramsey and vice-captain Fred to lead the squad to victory. 5 new signing will be starting for the Heart including keeper Mitch Langerak, 24 year old centre back Ersan Gulum, both marquee signings Brett Holman and Aaron Ramsey as well as young gun Tommy Oar who Dragovic has predicted to be the perfect partnership with the one and only Mate Dugandzic! It should be a very exciting match but Heart will be hoping to collect the points. In other news...
    David Williams up for sale!
    Any interest, get in contact. Will be willing to include him in a part exchange deal. A very quick player and still young rated at 81

    Liverpool Transfer News
    New manager, Daniel Dragovic has spent big on his team and has involved near a full team replacement. It looks as if even club captain Gerrard and long time servant Carragher may be seeking a move elsewhere with Barcelona interested. Here is a list of the ins and outs of this new look Liverpool side.
    Ins:
    Edin Hazard
    Mateo Kovacic
    Holger Badtuber
    Alexis Sanchez
    Marek Hamsik
    Victor Ruiz
    Leonardo Bonucci
    Antoni Nocerino
    Mario Gotze
    Outs:
    Skrtel
    Agger
    Coates
    Henderson
    Spearing
    Maxi
    Kuyt
    Bellamy
    The rumor is that Gerrard and Carragher may be heading in the Barcelona direction with Fabregas coming in as a straight replacement for the skipper and a young centre back moving from elsewhere in Spain.

    Re: Loic Remy, Lisandro
    Lopez has not played a game in the last 2 months because of injury I believe (his ankle which he is having trouble getting over) he played the first 4 games of the season and scored 2 goals. A great player, just need to wait till he is fit again.
    Remy has only missed 90 minutes all together this season, starting every game (12 of 12) and scoring 5 goals. Although Marseille are playing very badly compared to usual this year, he has been their shining light and has a lot of potential in my opinion.
    Both are great players, Lisandro I have always liked, just needs to get fit again. Remy is a very talented and well built striker who is on good form.

    Surely these concerns must be a flipping joke at this stage? Gurpegi has started the last seven matches in a row after I realised he was level 4, but nope it seems playing him does naff all. Hengbart has started the last nine but yet it seems that counts for nothing as well. These concerns are pathetic.

    Barnsley Start Season 2 Fresh

    Barnsley have appoint young but very experienced manager Daniel Dragovic to lead their team to glory in Season 2. Although the fans were not expecting anything spectacular this season which passed, finishing in 22nd position provided no excitement other than avoiding relegation. Dragovic has already approached many players and has told the board to give him till Christmas to get his squad ready to compete. With limited amount of players it will not be easy for Dragovic to attract many outstanding players but he has told the media that he will work with what he has and he is confident he can bring in faces which can lead the club to be pushing for promotion within 2 - 3 seasons.

    An excited Barnsley fan
    Dragovic came out to the press today and said "I am very pleased to pick up this job. A very similar role to what I had at Colchester 2 years ago in EC106, I want to bring in the same mentality for promotion here. A team full of average players, I am always looking for young stars who are willing to keep learning and playing for the club, yet bring the results to the dedicated fans. We may not be the biggest and most popular club in England but we are honest and I will supply full support to the players during the season. I promise to import young talent to play around 3 or 4 older players who have experience in the league. Be expecting a new and more exciting Barnsley this coming season!"
    In other news
    Giovinco and Bakkal are both for sale! Both outstanding players who look to impress everywhere they go and bright careers ahead of them. Only looking to sell them because at the moment I cant afford having them and I need from them to bring in 5 or 6 other players. Please place your bids for 2 young and established players.

    Giovinco and Bakkal

    Against all odds

    Villa survive on deadline day!

    Aston Villa came into tonight's game against Manchester United knowing that at least a draw will guarantee them safety in the Premierleague. Moods of the players and fans alike were good prior to kick off although many were unsurprisingly worried.

    Fans treated this like a cup final

    Manchester United took an early lead in the game to add more worries to the fans, who at that point knew that unless they get at least a draw, a win for either Man City against Stoke, or Blackburn against West Brom would ensure their relegation.
    And after 45 minutes it was the worst case scenario for Villa as Blackburn lead 1-0.
    It was now down to Villa manager Froz3n to inspire his team and salvage at least a draw.
    Villa started the second half much better than they ended the first however they couldn't find a breakthrough as the clock was nearing the 70th minute mark, and at Ewood Park the score was still 1-0 to Blackburn.
    But 27 minutes into the second half, Villa Park errupted with noise, as they cheered for both Llorente's brilliant header to make it 1-1, and West Brom's Kim Kalstrom's goal to make it 1-1 against Blackburn.

    FgLcIwl-QIU

    Llorente make's it 1-1 to spark celebrations

    At this point All 3 games including Villa, Man City and Blackburn were even at 1-1, and that meant a late goal for United coupled with a late win for either City or Blackburn meant Villa would end up in bottom 3 in the cruellest of fashions.
    But it wasn't to be, as an inspired Villa side controlled the game and very nearly made it 2-1 in the end. The final whistle blew and the Villa fans flooded the pitch to celebrate what has been a few very nervous weeks.

    Villa fans after the final whistle

    So after all the final day drama it's Manchester City and Blackburn who join an already relegated Newcastle in what will be a really tough Championship next season.

    Dragovic make first signing

    Javi Varas
    Javi Varas is Dragovic first signing of his new club Bristol Rovers a couple years after his successful stint with Colchester United. The signing of Varas came at a fee of 5.4 million plus Mauro GOICOECHEA for the 29 year old. Dragovic has made clear that he is happy to let long time Bristol goalkeeper Gianluca Curci (Roma's no. 1 keeper) go who has made 131 appearances for his club but will only sell him if the right offer comes.
    Varas recently hit form at Sevilla and started getting a run in the senior squad and after several clinical performances Dragovic stepped up to sign the keeper. It is rumored that Dragovic is wanting to let go to many of his players and is willing to listen to all offers from other clubs.

    Curci, ready to leave if right offer comes

    Sheffield Wednesday find their man

    Slaven Bilic has taken over the reigns at Sheffield Wednesday. Sheffield were expecting much more better and greater things at the beginning of this season but it just didn't happen. A mid-table finish saw them looking for a new manager, and they had come up with the good, seeking out the experienced Danny Dragovic who only a few years ago brought Colchester up in EC106. Danny has come out to say home excited he is to take on this role and Wednesday and is hoping to break the promotion spot and find his side in the top flight next season.
    Danny has already put pen to paper with a 2 big names which include ex-Blackburn star N'Zonzi and ex-Real Madrid superstar Klaas-Jan Hunterlaar. Dragovic has came out and said that these two signing have come to work straight in the starting 11, especially Huntelaar, already speaking that he will be looking for young players to evolve 3 - 4 experienced ones. He has also signed up and coming stars like Matthew Bates from Middlesbrough and quality forward Lallana from Southampton. Danny has come out and expressed what quality football his fans should be expecting and that he is driving for promotion.

    Joey Barton Steps Up To Challenge

    Bartons well known 'dirty moe'
    Joey Barton, recently signed for 2.3 million to Colchester has come out to say a few words about his new club and what he expects and wants to achieve,
    'Today I have come out to confirm why I came to Colchester and join Dragovic and what i want to achieve. I know that Dragovic has got experience with young players but I knew that if I came to Colchester I wouldnt just be a player in the team but I would be one that would lead the team and teach these young foreign players how to play English Football. I was asked for captaincy and it was an easy 'yes' decision in the end. I have played at the top and iv thought over again and iv come to the conclusion that I want to bring the 'next big thing' into England. It will be a great experience and hopefully I can change a few people future in football. I know that i dont have the best record outside of football but i know how the game if played and how to cope in and out of the football pitch. In the next two years I am hoping that we are competing to promote to Division 2 but at the moment my main aim is to keep this club up for the next 10 or so game. We have also signed Williamson who I think is a good players and can also prove a lot. Players such a Bostock, Vukusic and McGugan are all great talents and I am going to enjoy this challenge.'

    - Djourou Debut Shines & Falls -
    4 - 1

    @ Vicarage Road
    Attendance: 19,793
    Referee: Martin Atkinson
    M.O.M: Daniel Guiza
    Goalscorers: Watford; Guiza (6), Labyad (52,58), van Nistelrooy (64) Preston; Khizhnichenko (3)

    John Djourou made an impressive debut, setting-up 2 goals, but suffered an injury which
    could keep him out the squad for up to 2 weeks.

    After the past few days which saw Watford finally come out of debt, allowing the gaffer to bring in two new faces (Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, Johan Djourou), with two old ones leaving too (Marlon, King, David Weir), a very rejuvenated Watford side took to the pitch, against a struggling Preston side, sitting just above the drop zone.
    Preston from the get-go managed to surprise everyone, taking advantage of an unorganized Watford, pulling the first goal in just 3 minutes, whereby Khizhnichenko, who controversially looked to be offside, but was not called, banged the ball by Scott Loach, who look stunned, looking at the linesman, waiting for the flag, which never came. 1-0 Preston.
    From there it only took 3 minutes for Watford to silence the away visiting fans, who were chanting, "easy! easy! easy!", as Danny Guiza took an unexpected shot, early, while Henderson was off guard, making it 1-1. From there onward, it became a battle of the midfield, with Preston's, David Gray trying to create a goal, making runs up the wing, on the other side Gerbo and veteran, Camoranesi trying to gather momentum in Watford's favour, cuing the score at halftime to be 1-1.
    The second half was a different story, cue the Djourou-Labyad show! Within 7 minutes of the second-half, the Hertfordshire based club took the lead, courtesy of a lovely played long-ball up the pitch, by new signing Djourou, which found the 17 y/old youngster Labyad, whose first-touch was impeccable, placing the ball down, blasting a shot in the goal, 2-1 Watford.
    Another 6 minutes later the Djourou-Labylad link-up show continued, as off a Djourou free-kick in the last third, Labyad somehow managed to superbly volley the ball in the goal, leaving all stunned, such technique! 3-1 Horns.

    17 y/old, Zakaria Labyad, managed to shine on the night, showing he has bags on potential to succeed Alaba in the middle.

    The madness continued, yet only another 6 minutes later, in the 64th minute, where goal-poach extraordinaire, Ruud van Nistelrooy managed to take his tally on the season to 12 goals, neatly beating the offside trap, tucking the ball in the bottom-left corner. 4-1.
    Unfortunately though, 10 minutes later CB, Johan Djourou's impressive debut came to a halting end, as tracking back the 23 y/old managed to stumble, appeared to twist his ankle awkwardly, which left him to be stretchered off the pitch. Not a positive sign for Watford.
    The rest of the match continued with Watford holding most of the possession, Preston not really able to create anything, until an impressive run by Anya on the wing, cutting into the box, saw him being brought down by Madlung, could have been questioned for a penalty, but Atkinson waived it off.
    Final score; 4-1 to Watford.
    Manager Kylan was pleased with the result, addressed the match, Djourou's status, along with Van Wolfswinkel;

    Danny Guiza slides-in to do his patented archer celebration after scoring the equalizer, taking his tally to 4 goals on the season. Many rumours still suggest though
    that the Spaniard could be on his way out.

    It was a brilliant debut-outing for CB, John Djourou, which saw the athletic CB, setup 2 goals, ended with him being stretchered off the pitch.

    Watford supporters starting to gather belief the club has what it takes to get to the Premiership. We spoke to one lad who had the audacity to say - "Forest, 'Boro, WE'RE COMING FOR YOU!"

    Match Report Round 25 – Walsall vs Colchester United

    Walsall 0 – 2 Colchester(Half Time 0 – 1)
    A. Vukusic 20
    A. Vukusic 48
    Colchester are finally out of the drop zone! After 4 games of managing the squad, Dragovic has yet to lose, in fact winning 3 of them and 1 draw. Almost picking up the same amount of points the previous manager did in 21 games! It has been an amazing period for the Croatian manager and his young recruits and they proved again that they mean business when Ante Vukusic bagged two to beat Walsall away from home. Now that Milwall drew with Rochdale, two teams Dragovic has already beaten, Colchester are now 2 points above Craigs Milwall who he respects a huge amount and has already told him that ‘he is looking forward to a cracker of what is remaining of the season’. With 7, 435 at Bank’s Stadium, the majority cheering on Walsall who are currently in a safe 12th position. It was a very fair match up with the both of the teams point out a team rated on average 79 and a very young age but Dragovics talent and new formation got the better out of the young Walsall. Colchester fans were not only happy to see Vukusic score another brace but young English prospect Bostock making his debut and other new signing from Finland, Tim Sprav getting an assist. Although by score ling you would say Colchester dominated, Walsall did impress in front of their home fans with 12 shots on target to Colchester 2 but decisive finishing was what it came down to although Colchester had 59% possession.
    Vukusic magically scored another two goals which means he has now got 4 in 3 matches and Colchester fans are beginning to love the foreign talent Dragovic is starting to bring in. It came on the 20th minute mark when Tim Sprav gathered the ball from a little scrum just outside the box and just chipped it into the middle where the Croatian talent showed his strength and power by leaping over his defender to get his head onto the ball and make it 1 – 0. This was the lead to a quite AMAZING goal. Lukman Harunu, on loan from Wolves, won the ball in the middle with a typical defensive midfielder tackle and whipped it long from about 40 meters into the box after see Vukusic making a run. Vukusic knowing the he has no time and space to be able to get the ball to deck and turn decides to try the impossible and crack it with a scissor kick which flys into the back of the net which send the crowd wild. It was an amazing end to an amazing game and Vukusic has proved that he could be the next big this in EC7046

    Vukusic's brilliant goal.
    Transfer News:
    There have been 3 players signed by Dragovic and two especially that the fans will be particually happy about in Joey Barton and John Bostock who have both proved themselves in the Premier League. Bostok a young developing player and Barton an experienced and solid midfielder. Here is a bit of insight on the players.
    Joey Barton
    The lad who Newcastle got rid of for 2.3 million to Atletico Miniero in order to build on there now super team who are 2nd in the first Division. Barton who is 28 years old and rated 86 was signed by Dragovic to lead the squad and provide determination and passion into the youngsters who will be surrounding him. Barton is looked to be given captaincy which Dragovic has said after spending 2.9 million on the lad. Only making the one appearance for Newcastle before being sold, Barton is looking forward to leading Colchester to glory in the coming future.

    Mike Williamson
    Another ex-Geordie who was sold from the Toon to Wolfsburg in an exchange for Marcel Schafer. Williamson was signed for 2.9 million which Dragovic spent in order to tighten his very young defence which he is hoping to build. Williamson, 26 years old and rated 84 hasn’t been a first pick for many clubs he has gone to but is now beginning to find his feet which Dragovic believes can have a huge impact on the squad.

    John Bostock
    One for the future they say, to inspire England to another World Cup win. The 18 year old made 2 appearances for Tottenham with 2 goals! With Spurs having the super squad they currently have it looks as if Bostock would struggle finding game time and thought Colchester was his best option if he was one day to become Englands next big thing. Signed for 900k from Tottenham Dragovic his looking forward to what he has to show in the future.

    Plymouth Argyle | Transfer Update
    Lots of transfer rumours were surrounding Home Park last week, but all have been cleared as Vik P has stated that there will be no transfers for the remainder of the season. Firstly most of Plymouth's youth players were sold to other clubs for cash. This included :
    Craig Noone --> Crewe Alexandra (653K)
    Anton Peterlin --> Vancouver Whitecaps (275K)
    Bondz Ngala --> Crewe Alexandra (884K)
    Simon Walton --> Port Vale (630K)
    Reda Johnson --> Bradford City (1.6M)
    This was pretty much a huge clear out from Vik P as he believed none of these had futures at this club. A few first team players were also sold during this period, these were:

    Will be missed..
    Klaas-Jan Huntelaar --> West Brom (6.5M & M Janko)
    Andreas Ottl --> Bayern Munich (7.7M)
    Royston Drenthe --> Real Madrid (8M)
    Sotiris Ninis --> Panathinaikos (9.7M)
    Rory Patterson --> Mansfield Town (230K)

    Get Out!
    From all these sales Plymouth Arygle managed to have a whooping 36.3M. That's when the buying began, as Vik was allowed to use this money to strengthen his team. These were the players that came in:
    Kenneth Vermeer (85) --> (1.2M & Larrieu)
    Mouhamadou Dabo (87) --> (5.4M)
    Hedwiges Maduro (88) --> (5.6M)
    Tomás Costa (87) --> (1M & C Fletcher)
    Makoto Hasebe (87) --> (4.3M)
    Menegazzo Fernando (89) --> (5.5M)
    Pablo Barrera (86) --> (4.8M)
    Kagisho Dikgacoi (84) --> (2.8M)
    Malkhaz Asatiani (87) --> (D Johnson)
    Carvalho Amauri (91) --> (3.2M & Edu & Mason)

    Could he fire Plymouth into Div 2? Edu scored 22 goals for Plymouth which is nearly half the goals Plymouth have scored altogether, Has Vik P made the right decision to sell his star man?
