  1. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread 2-0! Eto'o scores his second.
  2. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Petrified he's going to get sent off, wouldn't mind him being replaced by Matic at half time.
  3. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread 1-0! Completely underserved but i'll take it, fortuitous strike from Eto'o although Jones' defending was pitiful.
  4. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Fantastic left footed finish from Torres for our second, 2-0.
  5. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Magnificent from Hazard! 1-0.
  6. Re: Official Red Devils Thread I agree they're underachieving yet despite that they're still within touching distance of the top four and are still huge globally, as such I don't think they're ability to attract players has diminished yet, I wouldn't write them off achieving something either. I'd disagree with that and blame it more on his treatment at Inter during his past few months followed by his transition to a weak league. He's still a great player and perhaps more importantly for Man Utd right not, he's a big name. I agree that a squad overhaul is required although despite having a relatively average squad, they did win the title last season. Bringing in a big player could help change the mentality of the club and of some of its fringe players who performed well last season.
  7. Re: Official Red Devils Thread It's also important remember that despite Man U's awful season so far, they remain just 5 points off 4th place and they're also still in the CL and are still seen as a huge club with global appeal. At this stage most big players who wanted to move would consider Man U, Sneijder has been continuously linked and would be a good, big name signing, albeit one which can't play in the CL.
  8. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: 1 Petr Cech; 28 Cesar Azpilicueta, 24 Gary Cahill, 26 John Terry ©, 3 Ashley Cole; 7 Ramires, 4 David Luiz; 22 Willian, 11 Oscar, 17 Eden Hazard; 9 Fernando Torres. Substitutes: 23 Mark Schwarzer, 34 Ryan Bertrand, 5 Michael Essien, 12 John Mikel Obi, 14 Andre Schurrle, 10 Juan Mata, 29 Samuel Eto'o. Really pleased with the line up, hopefully Luiz impresses again in midfield.
  9. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread 2-0, awful from the Derby keeper but a good hit from Oscar.
  10. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Mikel scores! Great ball in from Willian and a nice flicked header from Mikel to finish it off. 1-0.
  11. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Torres for Eto'o.
  12. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Hazard on for Essien.
  13. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: 23 Mark Schwarzer; 28 Cesar Azpilicueta, 24 Gary Cahill, 4 David Luiz, 3 Ashley Cole; 5 Michael Essien ©, 12 John Mikel Obi; 7 Ramires, 11 Oscar, 22 Willian; 29 Samuel Eto'o. Substitutes: 1 Petr Cech, 33 Tomas Kalas, 26 John Terry, 47 Lewis Baker, 17 Eden Hazard, 10 Juan Mata, 9 Fernando Torres. Has been pretty unimpressive so far, Oscar's been our only real threat. We need to change things up in the second half, our teams too defensive and needs more creativity. Hopefully Mata comes on for either Mikel or Essien.
  14. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Having rewatched the incidents, my stance hasn't changed. Lucas took Hazard out which should have resulted in a penalty, absolutely stonewall. Eto'o blocked Hazard off but there was nothing in it, there was little contact, o where near enough for Suarez to go down particularly in the fashion in which he did. In the other incidents, Eto'o should've received a yellow early on, I don't think there was enough there to warrant a red and Oscar's yellow was deserved, the tackle didn't really touch Lucas, it was still dangerous play though hence the yellow card. Southampton away on Wednesday which won't be easy, hopefully the level of performance doesn't drop too much.
  15. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread What a fantastic win! . I thought we played superbly as well, particularly in the first half.
  16. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Perfect play from Hazard, let's run it into the corner.
  17. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Superb play from Torres, unlucky with the shot. At this stage we need to slow things down and run down the clock.
  18. Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Why are the Chelsea and Liverpool players swapping shirts at half time...
  19. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Eto'ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Oscar fought to get that in the box and a predatory finish from Samuel, 2-1.
  20. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread HAZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!!!! Deserved equaliser, we've reacted superbly since falling behind.
  21. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread That should've been a penalty...
  22. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: 1 Petr Cech; 2 Branislav Ivanovic, 24 Gary Cahill, 26 John Terry ©, 28 Cesar Azpilicueta; 4 David Luiz, 8 Frank Lampard; 22 Willian, 11 Oscar, 17 Eden Hazard; 29 Samuel Eto'o. Substitutes: 23 Mark Schwarzer, 3 Ashley Cole, 5 Michael Essien, 12 John Mikel Obi, 14 Andre Schurrle, 10 Juan Mata, 9 Fernando Torres Not too enamoured with the line up: without Ramires we've thrown Luiz into midfield who's struggled playing there against the bigger teams when playing there. Eto'o also starts despite being relatively poor in his last few games... whilst I'm also worried Lamps will be over run in midfield. Hopefully we can get the win today... game kicks off at 4pm.
