  1. Re: Official Arsenal Thread That was a pretty poor performance but you ground it out, excellent result.
  2. Re: Official Arsenal Thread How unaware was Jenkinson there? If he'd thrown the ball to Bendtner you'd of gone 2 up.
  3. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Wonderful move but Coutinho should have buried that.
  4. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Chelsea: 1 Petr Cech; 2 Branislav Ivanovic, 24 Gary Cahill, 26 John Terry ©, 28 Cesar Azpilicueta; 12 John Mikel Obi, 8 Frank Lampard; 7 Ramires, 22 Willian, 17 Eden Hazard; 9 Fernando Torres. Substitutes: 23 Mark Schwarzer, 3 Ashley Cole, 4 David Luiz, 14 Andre Schurrle, 10 Juan Mata, 11 Oscar, 29 Samuel Eto'o. Bit disappointed with the defensive nature of our team, with the personnel selected I'm guessing that we'll try and sit back and play on the counter. Game is on now.
  5. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Excellent goal, I love 2 striker systems.
  6. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread I haven't seen much of Guarin but the move would make sense, we're short and there aren't many good cm's out there who aren't cup tied in the CL.
  7. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread In terms of extra time they did, but on the whole they've been poor particularly in the second half where they were dreadful.
  8. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Guess it's not going to penalties... such a disappointing result. A combination of poor finishing and dreadful substitutions have cost us the game.
  9. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Our inability to kill off games has cost us again... hopefully it doesn't go to penalties.
  10. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread He'll get a great reception, really pleased with the draw .
  11. Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Great shout, he'd suit Spurs perfectly. I'd be surprised if they didn't get Capello though, I don't think he's a great fit for them but he'd steady the ship and do a solid job. I think they'll get Laudrup in the summer, I doubt he'd leave now but Tottenham are logical next step for him and both parties seemingly want to play the same style of football.
  12. Re: Premier League Discussion Thread Agreed... it's weird as last season he seemed much more humble, looking like he'd learnt from his mistakes. He received a lot of praise as well with big clubs apparently looking at him and it seems to have gone to his head again. Hopefully, him accepting defeat today will get him back on track, I do rate him as a good manager and don't think Capello would suit them at all.
  13. Re: Official Liverpool Thread Outstanding first half but you need to maintain your concentration and not let Spurs back into the game.
  14. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread 2-1, good result and pretty good performance as well. I really liked the balance of the team, Essien did a really good job in the holding role. Willian has also really impressed me in the last few weeks, he seems in much better shape now than he was earlier in the season and is much more effective. We're in a great position in the title race as well, if we beat Arsenal next week we'll go top.
  15. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Beautiful play but how was that not a goal? We need to kill games like these off.
  16. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Haha yeah, I just about got to half time before giving in .
  17. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: 23 Mark Schwarzer; 2 Branislav Ivanovic, 4 David Luiz, 26 John Terry ©, 3 Ashley Cole; 12 John Mikel Obi, 8 Frank Lampard; 22 Willian 11 Oscar, 17 Eden Hazard; 29 Demba Ba, Substitutes: 1 Petr Cech, 24 Gary Cahill, 7 Ramires, 15 Kevin De Bruyne, 10 Juan Mata, 14 Andre Schurrle, 9 Fernando Torres Knackered so hopefully this performance doesn't send me to sleep, hoping for a good performance.
  18. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Didn'tknow we had Eto'oon the bench, the change makes a bit more sense now. This one doesn't though... why Schurrle? Schurrle for Eto'o and Mikel for Lamps.
  19. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Ba on for Torres, don't understand this at all. Why not wait another 10-15 mins and then stick them both on if things haven't changed?
  20. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread He's just scored his second, another beauty. 2-2 after we fell behind.
