  3. Re: Battle of the tribes setup Linfield 2-1 Exeter Linfield threw down the gauntlet to the stutterin league leaders and ya can hear Shels bum squeakin all the way from Livi to Belfast. Sheenz has promised me her full attention and ill return the favour if she beats him George adopted an attackin attitude and took the game to Linfield in a free flowin game as is the norm between these 2 purists of the beautiful game and will count himself unlucky not to grab a share of the spoils but hes still guaranteed a decent finish in his debut season and will go from strength to strength. The other manager in his debut season in the top flight is of course Shels and he has been rippin up trees wiv this great Livi side but wiv just that wee wobble in his last 2 games has set the nerves janglin and ya cudnt hav picked a tuffer game to need 3 points from than goin to face the Rebel Army in their final home game of the season, where the tickets wer the sold out signs hav been up for weeks. We at Linfield have battled hard all season and only sheer grit and determination has got us to this point and as managers the best ya can hope for is to still be in with a chance to be champions on the final day. Everyone finishes the season where they deserve to finish, unless ur Coatesy at Clyde and whoever is on top of the table at 830pm on thursday nite will rightly be hailed the champions. All season our philosophy has been one game at a time[and we'll be keepin that tradition as we look no further than our difficult clash wiv Cols Diamonds knowin if we dont collect maximum points then the result at Turners Cross is irrelevant:cool: /B]
  4. Re: UEFA CUP 07/08 Not a lot more to be added here,Rangers no surrender spirit has been evident all season, dont forget we were unlucky not to progress out of the group after the horror show against Lyon at the Brox but hav shown what we're made of in the UEFA cup. Welshman ya hav to put aside your anti rangers agenda and accept that Walters tactics have been spot on the whole way thru the tourney. With the financial clout teams like Werder and Fiorintina possess we dont even deserve to be on the same pitch but lucky enuff money doesnt guarantee ya success and hard work prevailed. I never doubted that Rangers wud beat them and after blankin Fio for 210 mins the Italians can hav no complaints. I actually predicted a 1-1 draw, knowin if we scored they were incapable of scorin 2 and as the game went on you cud see the Bears grow in confidence while Fio became increasingly frustrated wiv their woeful finishin. When alls said and dun,we take our rightful place in the final and although Zenit hav enjoyed a succesful campaign, they hold no fears for Walter and the lads. Time off work, child minders,no ticket, expensive flights and hotels means ill not be there but sure we'll hav a wee street party the day of the match and the flags will be flyin as we cheer them on from the comfort of the livin room with a large selection of refreshments on hand. KEEP BELIEVIN.WE ARE DA PEOPLE.

  6. Re: Creme "your shout" Chelsea 2-2 Barca:rolleyes: Point hav to do both teams after a great 2-2 draw,Inter next week and i need to start pickin up a few wins so Valencia dont get too far ahead Wat a nite in da creme as it rained goals in both divs, none more so than in Lyons superb 8-1 demolition of a brutal Villareal side already given their one way ticket to the 2nd division.dont kno wat i was thinkin lettin Davey Knape in this setup, hes well below standard. One man provin hes well worth his place in Da Creme is Norn Irons very own Woody who took his Valencia top for the very first time with a superb 4-2 win at a stunned Old Trafford, unbeaten in 6 now,Allans got the bit between his teeth and cud be thinkin of a title challenge or at least top4. Top4 side Inter went 2nd with a 2-0 win over Toms Madrid who slip back into the drop zone and Sam won the relegation battle over Kevs Marseille 3-1. Glory Glory rang out around the San Siro as Toms Spurs finally gave the Yid army sumthin to sing about with a 6-2 gubbin of Jacks brutal Milan side. Rangers draw with Georges PSG sees Jack 3 points adrift at the bottom while Spurs go to a season high 7th and possibly eyein Naths bayern who hold the last promotion spot after a great 3-0 home win over Sheenz. Naths win means theres 3 Celts in the top4 with only George flyin the flag for the Blue half and it was Celtic who won the top2 battle with a tight 1-0 win over the Arse,Rangers fan David Bentley gettin the winner for the Celts;)
  7. Re: Battle of the tribes setup Drogs 2-3 linfield:cool: Linfield put last weeks defeat at Almondvale behind them with a hard fought win over Wolfies Drogs to remain 3 points behind Livi wiv 3 to go. Tribes regulations saw 86 rated Giovanni hav to make way for 85 Daryll murphy as Cally has to juggle his squad as this weeks ratins change saw 2 players climb above the watershed and takin Linfield 2 players over their quota. The problem i have is that these dudes are still transfer banned so i just hav to omit them from the squad for the remainin games and try to flog them on in the summer. Anyway as i was sayin,Daryll Murphy took his opportunity and scored in the very first minute, headin home a De Cegli cross to spark the celebrations. Drogs hav been a shadow of their former selves this season and hav been fightin for their very survival in the top flight and their determination to succeed paid dividends as they rocked the Blues with 2 goals in a minute midway thru the first half. First Shane Longs feeble shot went in via a deflection then their luck continued as a mis hit shot from Gago fooled Coupet and he let it squirm under his body to hand the Drogs a shock 2-1 lead and it got worse for the Blues just 5 mins later when Boateng got his marchin orders after near breakin Gago in half with a terrific tackle. The Blues reshuffled to 3-4-2:rolleyes: and held on until the break where Cally got the hairdryer out and it seemed to work cos just before the hour mark Makele rose like a salmon at the back post to thunder a superb header past Shay Given. The tide turned Linfields way even further on 73 mins when Drogs were reduced to 10 men as well after Bruno Gama took out Michael Svec from behind and the Blues smelt the fear in the Drogs and pushed for the winner and it duly arrived in the 87th min from who else but Daryll Murphy justifyin Callys decision to giv him a start

  9. Re: Kevs North/South Invitational Derry 0-4 Linfield:cool: The Big Blue Machine got 2 league wins in a row for only the 2nd time this season as they tanked the Docs Candystripes 4-0 at the Brandy in a superb display of free flowin football. Goals from Sam,Pistol and Vera had the Blues 3-0 up at the interval and thye did take the foot off da gas a lil in the 2nd just addin a further strike thru midfield general Adrien Silva as Derry improved and created a host of chances but couldnt find a way past record signin Joe Hart in the Linfield goal, who picked up the man of the match champagne and had the away fans singin "Joe Hart for England" Title rivals Ports and Exeter shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw allowin Linfield to cut the lead at the top to 4 points ahead of thursday nights massive clash at Shamrock park which will go a long way to decidin the destination of this years title.
  10. Re: Eircom / Irish, Domestic Football Superb win mate,St Pats were better in every department, first to every ball and totally deserved the win. Linfield were poor by their standards and thats our first away defeat since the very first match of the competition away to Longford. Too many players let themselves down and comin after the 0-0 draw with the Gurns on saturday we look to be driftin along in some sort of cruise mode, savin ourselves for the 3 most important matches in our recent history tryin to emulate the treble double winnin side of 1891-93,but the problem with this is can they lift their game when it matters. Enjoyed the trip to Richmond especially the free programme and i blagged a free burger as well by walkin over to the sauces table then just headin back behind the net. Had to laugh at the Celtic brigade closest to the Linfield fans singin IRA songs at us,wudnt be surprised if they were Rovers fans, obsessed with us
  11. Re: Eircom / Irish, Domestic Football Setanta cup Cork 2-0 Chickenville and Dungannon 0-4 Drogs so 2 bad defeats there for the carnegie clubs. St Pats tonite for Linfield and its interestin to hear St Pats hav no interest in the Setanta cup,we hear this war cry from all the teams who get knocked out every year or struggle to even qualify from the group. Every club treats it as a sub standard competition not on a par with their domestic honours so accordingly they all see it as a chance to rotate players, this is where the big squads come into play and the ones who moan about it are usually the ones with the smallest squads. Linfield win tonite and we've 3 wins from 3 guaranteein qualification before the split. We're at the most crucial stage of the season wiv just 2 games left in the League but i still expect whatever 11 the manager picks to not let us down tonight. We've sold our 900 allocation so hopefully get a good atmosphere ps Shels there was 11k at Windsor on saturday
  12. Re: Creme "your shout" Barca 3-0 villareal:cool: A Stroll in the park for Barca against the hapless Villareal,2 from Simao sendin Barca back to the top of the pile. Amazingly this was the only win in div1 as the other 4 games ended deadlocked, impressive points for Lyon and Marseille among them but draws might not be enuff even at this early stage. Div2 and Arsenal march on and i hav to hold my hands up and admit Henriks doin a good job,he looks a cert for promotion already. As ya read above Tottenham went down to a miserable 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Naths Bayern and its hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel for Tom,such is the lack of quality in his squad these days. PSG Celtic fought out a 2-2 draw leavin both managers glad they didnt lose and Sheenz recorded a rare win, this time over Jacks Brutal Milan who now havent won since that openin day 5-1 massacre. Rangers beat Roma 1-0 even tho sam smyth hasnt logged in since 24th march so there mite be a managerial change at ibrox soon.

  14. Re: $$££ Millionaires Row Platinum stars 1-2 Yokohama Theyre partyin in the streets of Yokohama as they prepare to bring the first ever World club championship to the far east. 8 clear with 4 to go wud need a Barcelona type catastrophe to blow it now:cool:
  15. Re: The Forumers Glory Seekers Match/transfer rummers thread UJpest 3-3 Linfield Great end to end stuff as gazlad stole a point in the 88th minute to leave Linfield lookin at 2-2-2 in their first 6 games and no where near capable of a title challenge this season again.
  16. Re: Kevche1963 -league for forumers- SPURS 1-2 GOONS:mad: Spurs brutal form continued as they slipped to defeat against their hated rivals.looks like another season of mid table madness even after only 6 games won 2 drew 2 lost 2 brutal.
  17. Re: Kevs North/South Invitational Linfield 2-1 Exeter:cool: Linfield somehow find themselves in 3rd spot in this mad season after 5 wins and 5 defeats puts them on 15 points 6 behind wee Toms Ports and Georges Exeter now within reach after this hard fought 2-1 win. Exeter took the lead after just 5 mins when man mountain Ishmael Miller poked home from 2 yards, god hes a big lad isnt he,local women were like flies round jam swoonin round him when he got off the team bus. The Blues upped the pace after the early setback and duly got back on level terms with a toe poke of their own this time antonia vera ownin the lil piggy which got the final touch in a goal line scramble. 1-1 at the break but we didnt have to wait long for Linfields response and who else but Pistol Pete shud wrap up the points with a spectacular 25 curlin bendin dippin shot for his 8th goal of the season. Onwards and upwards:cool:
  18. Re: The One ZSP hit the front thanks to their superb goal difference as we go neck and neck with Santos to the finish. Az 2-4 ZSP:cool: Excellent hard fought win over Johns cup kings and we just shaded a 6 goal thriller to keep our noses in front in the title race. Managed to blag a load of cash of the Oil Barons to launch a salvage operation for a Yellow Submarine last seen flounderin in mid ocean obscurity and runnin outa oxygen drastically. S.O.S Save Our Sub:cool:
  19. Re: "Glory XII Hunter's" INTER 4-0 GOONS:cool: So let me get this straight,i bought Gallas from arsenal in good faith, few weeks later the Arsenal boss quits and Gallas has to go back to Arsenal then the same manager takes back over Arsenal again and ive lost 10 mins of my life conductin a transfer so i guess we shouldnt buy from each other in case one day the manager of that club quits and ya end up losin half a squad only for the same manager to return at another club or even the same club again sometime in the future:confused: Talk urself outa that one Shels:cool:
  20. Re: Creme "your shout" Barca 1-2 Real Madrid:mad: Diego Forlan struck 2 mins from time to take the honours in Creme Classico and get Toms Season off and runnin. Chelsea go top after their 1-0 win over the Toon at the Bridge with Manu goin 2nd after a 2-1 win at OT over Lyon. Allan tanks Kev 4-0 to illustrate the gulf in klass between the top 6 and the 4 promoted clubs who all find themselves in the relegation zone even at this early stage. Gonna be a long hard season and one of them will hav to start beatin the others in the hope of finishin in the safety sixth spot. Div2 and Arsenal go marchin on,this time Liverpool on the recievin end of a 4 goal blitz at Anfield with Celtic also gettin back to winnin ways with a famous 2-1 win at the brutal Milan. Georges PSG continue to plough quietly along in 3rd spot with a 2-2 draw in Munich against Nath a typical solid result for George and he'll be eyein the teams below him already workin out his plan for at least 4th spot. Tommys Juve look to be findin their feet in div2 and took all 3 points from their clash with the Gers to move into 4th. Tom took a point in Rome against Justy in a result which was no use to either club. CALLYS TREBLE Cant believe my Barca beat the bet last week ffs and maybe its a bit of a skud pickin ur own team in the bet so takin no heed of my own advice im puttin Barca in again this week in a must win game against whippin boys Villareal at the Camp Nou.If they oblige we'll forgive them losin da Creme Classico under the circumstances of it bein a bit bigger than a football match. Div 2 looks extremely tough this week with a load of draws on the cards as a lot of the equal matched teams face off against each other and will be sussin each other out at this early stage so we'll stick with our usual form horses and take leaders Chelsea to win at Lyon and Champions MANU to leave Kev emptyhanded in Marseille. BARCA CHELSEA MANU
  21. Re: Battle of the tribes setup Linfield 4-0 Chickenville Linfield continue to lead the way in Tribes after this 4 goal demolition of a brutal Climville side. Only surprise was it took Daryll Murphy 32 mins to open the scorin cos the Blues shud hav been 3 up b4 that but a series of missed chances and good goal keepin meant it was Murphy who broke the deadlock with a superbly timed run to lose his marker and thump a low shot past the keeper. Goal of the game arrived just 7 mins later when wee Sprouler scored with an overhead kick from the edge of the box which near bust the net at the Railway end. Blues kept her lit straight after the break and it was no surprise when Michael Svec made it 3-0 on 50 mins volleyin home for his 7th goal of the season,an impressive total for the attackin midfielder. Linfield made their usual flurry of subs as Cally continues to rotate all his fine young 85s but it was a home grown lad Martin Paterson who took the plaudits afte scorin his first goal in front of the Kop with a superb header just a minute after comin on,a moment the young lad will remember for the rest of his life.
  22. Re: SM Predict - Season 3 - Week 33 Saturday 12th April Derby 0-2 Aston Villa Juventus 2-1 AC Milan Werder Bremen 1-0 Schalke Bayern Munich 2-0 Borussia Dortmund Sunday 13th April Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal (ESB) Getafe 1-1 Zaragoza Real Madrid 3-0 Murcia Inter Milan 2-1 Fiorentina __________________
  23. Re: Creme "your shout" MARSEILLE 1-4 BARCA:cool: Superb result at the Veledrome for da Barca boys as Kev starts feelin the heat in Div1. Last seasons top4 are all in the bottom 5 in Div1 after a night when the big boys flexed their muscles. Allans Lyon had a great 3-1 win away to Lyon to get the first win of the season under the belt, while Chelsea were also celebratin after a fantastic 4-1 win at the SS against Andy. Great point for Sam against Champions Manu and Tom finally got his first points of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Davey Knape in the all Spanish affair. Div2 and Henke has the only 100 per cent record in Da Creme but Jack made him fight all the way before succumbin 2-1 at the Bin Laden. Celtic and Psg both slipped up goin down at home to Naths Bayern and Justys Roma.both managers gettin a shock as they strive for some early season consistency. Tommys Juve got his first win with an easy win at Three Point Lane as the Yids struggle continues and Sheenz also gave the Scousers somethin to shout about this year with a shock 1-0 win at Ibrox. With Barca hostin El Classico this week ill fancy 3 points and there shud also be wins for Chelsea Man Utd and Inter while Valencia might just shade it home to Marseille. DIV2 shoul see wins for Arsenal,Roma and Juve with Bayern-PSG and Milan Celtic bein too close to call at this early stage. Callys treble BARCA,CHELSEA,ARSENAL
  24. Re: Eircom / Irish, Domestic Football Linfield 5-0 Newry:cool: After Newry winnin against a Cliftonville side in freefall last week Linfield were on their guard against any slip ups and although Newry held us to 0-0 at halftime news that the Gurns were 2-0 up at seaview soon bolstered the Blues and goals from Pistol(2) Spike,Stewart and Dickson keeps us 3 points ahead of the Glens b4 next weeks title decider at Windsor. First things first and the small matter of a setanta cup trip to the oval on monday nite(live on setanta sports2) PS all systems go regardin the trip to ST pats and its been confirmed for next Tuesday in Dublin.get the beers in Keith:cool:
