  1. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Manchester United trashed at Camp Nou I'll leave it for Mike to post the details. Well done mate
  2. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread A couple of new additions to the Manchester United ranks: Roberto Canella: The 23 year old Spanish left back was signed from Sampdoria for £9.324M and takes the place of Kieran Gibbs in the first team squad as backup for Patrice Evra. Gibbs will now join our other young left backs Fabio, Mbola and Cruise in the youth squad and is also available for loan. Onur Kivrak: Signed from Trabzonspor for £7.371M. The talented 23 year old Turkish goalkeeper is now our new number 2 under Edwin Van der Saar and takes Frank Fielding's place in the first team squad. Fielding has now been transfer listed. With Van der Saar retiring from the squad at the end of the season Kivrak will continue as number 2 in season 3 but under Italian International Emiliano Viviano instead who is currently out on loan at Besiktas. Delighted that we beat Real Madrid 3-2 on Wednesday night. Another very tough test awaits us tonight this time against Barcelona.
  3. Re: Why is the word G AY censored? I'd sure like to know how **** Diakhate earnt his stars? There's too many tards on this forum for words like g.a.y not to be censored as it would just get abused I reckon. It's a curiosity to know how often the word g.a.y would be used legitimately on a football forum such as this? Is it really needed? I haven't noticed anyone refer to how straight they are. "Yo I'm Ian, a straight glory hunting United fan. I've got kids and did I mention I'm strrrraight." Maybe to even things up "straight" should be censored but that still leaves the "bi" folks.
  4. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Enjoying our moment at the top of the league but I'm not confident it will last much longer. The next four games for Manchester United are going to be interesting but very tough: (H) Real Madrid (A) Barcelona (H) Chelsea (A) Internazionale Four great teams with four great managers. I wouldn't be too disappointed with losing against any of these usually as the points could go either way but after the fantastic start we've made to the season I really want it to continue. I guess by the 7th May we'll find out if Manchester United are just pretenders or real title challengers.
  5. Re: Official Red Devils thread Not real fans...scum
  6. Re: Benjamin Jeannot Just to add... Jeannot recently signed a new contract on his promotion to the first team squad. He has also been given the famous Nancy number 10 shirt which was once held by the legend Michel Platini. That's quite an honour for a Nancy player and shows just how highly the Nancy coaching team regard his talent. The fans are also excited and have labelled Jeannot "The Jewel of Nancy". Jeannot's playing style is likened to Lorient's Gameiro. He's a creative player and should really have been added as a Fwd rather than a CF. He's performed very well in his first appearances for the first team and just needs a goal now. It's very likely that Jeannot could keep Hadji's place in the team. The kid's a talent and worth keeping an eye on.
  7. Re: rooney, fwd/wing I understand what you're saying mate. It's just that when Man Utd play Rooney wide in what you call a "4-5-1" the wide men are always advanced higher up the pitch which makes the shape more of a 4-3-3.
  8. Re: rooney, fwd/wing Rooney's SM position is fine. He only plays wide in a 4-3-3 winger formation and that is covered on SM perfectly well with Rooney being a forward.
  9. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread GC81: Mallorca Mallorca beat Real Betis 2-0 for a place in the Spanish Shield Final where we'll face Real Madrid. Don't see us having much of a chance to win the trophy considering Real Madrid beat us 4-0 in the league a few weeks ago but you've got to be in it to win it and its just nice to get to the final.
  10. Re: Gold Championship 51 Match Report Thread Following players available for loan: Fernando Llorente (91) Antonio Valencia (91) Angelo Palombo (90) Marco Motta (88) Hector Moreno (87) - Preference will be given to smaller clubs - Must be given regular first team football - Will not loan players to rival clubs in Spain

  12. Re: Official Red Devils thread I did say so a few posts up but thanks anyway for stating the obvious We played great for the first 30 minutes and then nothing. They more than deserve their place in the final. I was puking in a bucket with the vomit bug just as Fabio in a great position fluffed a cross near the end of the game. Just a bad moment for me trying to scream profanity and puke at the same time. A bad day and it ain't over as my two year old has the vomit bug now. Got her asleep on the sofa puking at regular 30 minute intervals. No sleep for me thanks to the mrs having inferior nursing skills. Got ESPN so think I might watch the Bolton/Stoke game. Should be a good game for the neutrals that.
  13. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread o8nRTmC885A Manchester United beat Roma 1-0 thanks to an early Luis Anderson goal, his 6th of the season. Top of the league, 4 points clear of Barca Porto next and a full strength squad to choose from.
  14. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread After a good couple of weeks I'm back to my normal win percentage. P31 W16 D9 L6 Highlight of the night was a 5-0 win at Real Madrid for Villarreal in GC101 Had a few shockers but the most hurtful was in GC115 with a 3-0 home defeat for Marseille against PSG
  15. Re: Official Red Devils thread Gutted. Feel sorry for Carrick. Typical Scholes. They deserved to win. Got a sick bug. Bad day
  16. Re: John Flanagan- Future Star! Get yourself into some decent game worlds Paid £4.2M for him in GC1 and he went for £3M in WC10000. He was quality against Schity and it looks like he'll play against Arsenal on Sunday. That'll be a much tougher game for him.
  17. Re: Gold Championship 81 RCD Mallorca Took over as manager of Mallorca on March 11th. We are currently 6th place in the league after 14 games and we'll be aiming to finish at least in that poisition come the end of the season. The competition is very strong in this league so I think SMFA Cup qualification will be out of our reach for the time being. We have progressed to the semi-final of the Spanish Shield where we'll face Real Betis so fingers crossed we can come through that game. If we reach the final we'll probably face Real Madrid who will be looking to beat Real Sociedad in their semi-final encounter. I inherited a very nice squad which I have managed to strengthen in certain areas since I arrived at the club. Demirel Volkan We signed the Turkey international goalkeeper from Fenerbache for £7.4M. An improvement to what we had. He replaces Dudu Aouate as our number 1. Oliver Baumann Was alerted to his availability when searching for a new first choice goalkeeper. The highly regarded Germany U-21 international was signed from Borussia Mönchengladbach for £7.6M. In the youth squad for now but could potentially improve enough to be our number 1 over the coming seasons. Garry Bocaly The young French right back was signed from Stade Lavallois in a straight trade for Miguel Josemi. Was brought in as a better younger replacement for Josemi and has already improved in rating to 87. Sebastien Pocognoli The Belguim left back was signed from Fenerbache for £8M. He will provide better competition for Diaz Ayoze. Niko Bungert Signed from 1. FSV Mainz 05 for £7.2M. The German central defender was brought in to provide extra cover for Jose Nunes and Pa pe Diakhate.
  18. Re: Gold Championship 86|Transfer Rumours|Match Reports| Clube Atlético Mineiro Took over as manager of Atlético Mineiro on March 11th and so far things have gone pretty well. We won the Charity Shield at the start of the season beating Cruzeiro 4-1. We have a good battle going on with Sao Paolo in the league. We're currently a point behind after 8 games and they have already beaten us 4-3 this season. Hopefully we can take the points next time we meet. The Champions Cup has started well for us as we've won our opening group matches against Atlas and Cruzeiro. We travel to Roma in the 3rd match which I'm sure will be much tougher. I'm very confident that we'll get through to the knockout stages. I inherited a strong squad so not much improvement has been made to the first team with just two established players arriving. We also signed some youth players. Kevin Constant The promising young central midfielder was signed from Chievo for £7.1M and will provide extra cover for first choice midfielders Oleksandr Aliyev and Souza Alex. Belozoglu Emre The experienced Turkish international was signed from Fenerbache for £7.2M and will provide extra cover in the central and defensive midfield positions. New Additions to the Youth Squad Abdoulaye Diallo from Free Agent for £285K Carl Jenkinson from Free Agent for £8K John Guidetti from Coventry City for £1.9M
  19. Re: Gold Championship 88 | Match Reports | Transfers Took over as manager of Club America on March 11th. It's the start of a new season and so far things have gone reasonably well. We had a huge regret losing the Charity Shield 2-1 against Tigres but since then have gone on to win 6 of our last 7 games. We suffered a hurtful defeat against Spanish giants Valencia in the SMFA Cup going down 4-1 but beat River Plate in our first group match. We currently sit top of the Mexican league with 4 wins out of 4. A lot of work has been done to the squad since I arrived with many players coming and going. I'm really pleased with the way the squad looks now. We own some great young players such as Pablo Armero, Mehdi Benatia, Gary Medel, Emmanuel Riviere, Sinan Bolat, Antoine Griezmann, Bruno Ecuele Manga and more. We have the strongest squad in Mexico so our target must be to win the league. I would also like us to progress to the knockout stages of the SMFA Cup but we're in a difficult group against Valencia, Recreativo and River Plate.
  20. Re: Gold Championship 98 - Match and Transfer Reports thread U.S. Città di Palermo Took over as manager of Palermo on March 11th and our league form hasn't been great since my arrival. We are currently 7th in the league with 2 tough games remaining against Siena and Genoa. If we can win one of those matches then we'll secure SMFA Shield football next season but if we fail we could potentially drop as low as 10th which wouldn't be good enough for SMFA Shield qualification. With Siena, Fiorentina and Internazionale below me this scenario is a distinct possibility. Just got to cross my fingers and hope my players can perform for just one game. Some improvements have been made to the squad since I arrived at the club. Scott Dann Signed from Birmingham City for £7.2M to provide cover for first choice central defenders Simon Kjaer and Cesare Bovo. Pablo Armero Signed from Fenerbache for £8.5M to provide cover for first choice left back Federico Balzaretti. He's an improving young player though so it might not be long before he forces his way into our first choice XI. Stefan Reinartz Signed from Bayer Leverkusen for £14.8M and like Scott Dann he was also signed to provide cover for our first choice central defenders. An absolute quality player who's sure to move up the pecking order sooner or later. Roberto Rosales Signed from FC Twente for £6.6M to provide cover for Mattia Cassani at right back. Has been a strong performer in the Dutch league this season and should receive a little rise next time he's rated. Olivier Sorin Signed for £7M from AJ Auxerre as our new number two. Was simply signed as a better quality backup to what we already had. Will be understudy to Silvatore Sirigu.
  21. Re: Official GC132 Discussions/Transfers/Reports Thread Lille OSC Eltringham Issues "Hands off Warning" Lille manager Ian Eltringham has warned rival clubs that his star players Eden Hazard, Adil Rami and Yao Kouassi Gervinho are not for sale. All three players have persistently been linked with moves away from Grimonprez-Jooris and keeping them at Lille is one of new manager Eltringham's top priorities. Eden Hazard is considered the most talented of the three and has been attracting envious eyes from the biggest clubs in Europe as one of the mosted gifted young players in world football. Eden Hazard "As far as we are concerned Hazard is a Lille player and we want him to remain a Lille player. He is not for sale and we don't welcome any offers for him. We want to keep him."
  22. Re: World Championship 10000 available jobs thread Besiktas Reasonably strong squad with players such as Kerzhakov, Bobo, Quaresma, Ernst, Pareja and Fanni. A division 2 club but struggling in 17th position so you could have a relegation battle to contend with. On the other hand they're only 7 points off the play-off positions and as Genoa are proving you don't need the best squad to compete in this division. Take Control Estudiantes If you're looking for a real challenge then look no further. Not only will you be competing in one of the toughest leagues on SM, you'll also start with the weakest team. Estudiantes not only have the lowest valued squad in WC10000, they are also bottom of division 4. The squad is neglected with NMF players and lacks depth but you'll have £24M to work with. PAOK and Rapid Wien are proving what can be achieved when starting with a poor squad when a good and determined manager is at the helm. Take Control
