  3. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Even better result tonight in the SMFA Shield: Manchester United 1 Dnipro 2
  4. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Manchester United hammered 3-0 by Milan last night. The result leaves us in the relegation zone after 3 games. Hopefully we can get our first win of the season in our next league match against Rangers. Dnipro next in the SMFA Shield
  5. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Nice work Rob. This is the current Manchester United 1st and 2nd XI: 1st XI De Gea Van Der Wiel - Vidic - Ferdinand - Evra Carrick Fletcher - Giggs Nani - Rooney - Robben 2nd XI De Gea Rafael - Botia - Evans- Fabio Capoue Diego - Anderson Valencia - Hernandez - Young Reserves Phil Jones Chris Smalling Armin Bacinovic Tom Cleverley Danny Welbeck Luuk De Jong
  6. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Nothing If unmanaged are not being taken over it means we haven't been getting applications from the right type of people. The consensus so far has in general been happy to trade numbers for a stricter admission policy and no SMFA transfer monitoring. If the consensus were to change their view in the future and prefer the game world had a chance of gaining more numbers (changing access to public open) then I would roll with it but SMFA transfer monitoring would be switched on. Personally, I'm happy for things to stay how they are
  7. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Etienne Capoue and Ribas Diego have both joined Manchester United. I may look to trade out Jonny Evans later in the season but apart from that I'm very happy as our 25 man first team squad is complete for this season Also beat Trabzonspor 2-1 in the SMFA Shield last night.
  8. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Ribas Diego is on his way to Manchester United from Wolfsburg to add quality cover to central midfielder. Also have a bid accepted for Toulouse defensive midfielder Etienne Capoue but unfortunately we also have competition for his signature in the form of Borussia Dortmund. Think they probably have us beat but we may have a chance considering the Toulouse chairman valued Wes Brown at around £9M
  9. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Arjen Robben has completed his move to Manchester United where he'll team up with Wayne Rooney and Luis Nani in a formidable looking 3 man attack
  10. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Manchester United share the points against Atletico Madrid after a 1-1 draw. Vidic opened the scoring on the 66th minute only for ex United player Forlan to equalise 13 minutes later. Next up Trabzonspor in the SMFA Shield. You're welcome
  11. Re: The Ultimate SM Championship Toulouse beaten by Bordeaux 2-1. First game in charge, relegation confirmed
  12. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Luuk De Jong, Armin Bacinovic, Alberto Botia and Thibaut Courtois complete their moves to Manchester United. But we miss out on all other targets
  13. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Match Reports/Transfer News Thread Four Players Set to Join Manchester United Manchester United have confirmed today that Alberto Botia, Armin Bacinovic, Thibaut Courtois and Luuk De Jong will complete their moves to Old Trafford in the next 24 hours. The club have also confirmed that they have lodged bids for another 5 players including their prime target, France international midfielder Yann M'Vila and should have news on those targets later today.
  14. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Are you sure about that? I chose 10am Saturday for the deadline as I'm pretty confident that was the cut-off for us getting the first wave of external transfers completed before the first league games of the season kick-off. A lot of bids were accepted early this morning (between 5am-6am I guessing) so there is a good chance they will go through before 8pm tonight. Not certain but confident
  15. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread I'm reasonably sure that when you make multiple bids offering the same player as p/e only the first offer accepted will stick and the rest will collapse. If that isn't what happened then it's very strange and I have no explanation.
  16. Re: World Championship 10000 Discussion thread Back in as Genoa. Doesn't feel quite right after Manchester United but this will always be the best WC so I'm sure I'll settle into my new job soon enough
  17. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Discussion Thread Luuk De Young on his way to Manchester United to replace Michael Owen, Armin Bacinovic will take Darron Gibson's place in the squad, Albrto Botia will replace John O'Shea and Thibaut Courtois will take Anders Lindegaard's place as our 2nd choice goalkeeper. Bids also accepted for Yann M'Vila, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arturo Vidal, Gary Cahill and Antoine Griezmann. We made a £28.2M cash offer for our prime target Yann M'Vila. Really hoping that's good enough to bring him to Old Trafford. Not too bothered about the others to be honest.
  18. Re: EC2933 Discussion thread- JOIN THIS FABULOUS SETUP! Crystal Palace share the points at Ipswich Town after a 2-2 draw. Not happy as we totally dominated the game but just couldn't nail down all 3 points. Just the way it goes sometimes. Next up a tough looking match against Carlisle United.
  19. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Got thrashed 3-0 by Gillingham in my first game in charge at Burton Albion. A lot of NMF players which hampered team selection but that will improve over the next week or so and then hopefully our performances will follow. Thanks to Chelsea, Carlisle United and Sheffield United for the loans
  20. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Nice welcome by Hugh Latimer Is he on the forum? It was quite an enjoyable read
  21. Re: IEFA European Masters Championship Match Reports/Transfer News Thread Feyenoord Collapse as Rooney Runs Riot Manchester United manager Ian Eltringham will be delighted with the form of Wayne Rooney in what was a masterful display in their pre-season friendly against Feyenoord at Old Trafford on Thursday night. The England International striker inspired his side to a dominant 5-0 victory getting on the score sheet twice and making one assist. Rooney played through the centre of a 3 pronged attack and was a constant threat throughout the 90 minutes. He was rewarded for his efforts when he opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a fantastic volley. Rooney continued to torment the Feyenoord defence as they struggled to cope with his pace, power and movement finally scoring United’s 5th goal of the match on the 78th minute after tapping in a rebound. It was a fine display all round for the Manchester United team with Michael Carrick and Luis Nani also looking particularly impressive in a match that they dominated from start to finish. Manchester United kick-off their season at the Vicente Calderón on Sunday night against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. Judging by Thursday’s performance against Feyenoord they look more than ready for the challenge ahead.
  22. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Taken the Burton Albion Job. In debt and the squad needs organising so I may consider decent cash offers for my better players and let 1 or 2 of them go. No promises on who or if I'll sell but if you are interested in anyone just fire off a bid while I try to hatch a plan
