Agree with these. 89 is fine for Herrera because of his minutes but he is nothing special to deserve +2 to 90. I still believe Salvio will rise to 90 in next few days, hopefully as he deserves it. Enzo and Gaitan both got 89-90 last season with less impressive statistics compare to Salvio this season.

Compton's Club Critique of the Week

Hello and welcome to episode 2 of the club Critique of the Week where we look at a club's strengths, weaknesses, transfer policy, best 11 and the one's to watch.
This week we trot down to White Hart Lane to see if Tottenham have been spurred on by their new manager El Nino.
    The Gaffer

After Harry Redknapp's well reported move to England manager El Nino was left with the task of keeping Tottenham in Division 1 with the top teams in europe. A mixed pre season so far with 2 wins a draw and 2 losses has show us that on his day El Nino can get his players working well as a team most notably in his 3-0 win over fierce rivals Arsenal. This season he's aiming to stay up an push for the top places and with the squad Tottenham have I think he can do it.
I've had numerous conversations with El Nino discussing players ratings, his club and constantly trying to strike up deals for Bale and I must say he is very well mannered and approachable guy and a pleasure to do deals with. He's also a self confessed Manchester United fan which has lead to 2 big deals between the two clubs for Modric and Gareth Bale so if you want to get a deal done with Nino my advice is offer United players!
    Strengths

When you look at the original Tottenham side and what it is now you can see some very noticeable differences. No Modric, no Bale, no Parker arguably the best 3 players the club had are now gone. So how are Tottenham going to stay up? Well they have a little know dutch striker Robin Van Persie and the imposing Fernando Llorente as their attack force. Arguably one of the best combinations you would wish for in a team the skill and creative play that Van Persie offers and the strength and height that Llorente offers perfectly compliment one another and will no doubt be a dominant strike force in the league. Their biggest strength for me is their attack force which this season includes RVP, Llorente, Adebayor (albeit on loan), Hernandez, Callejon and Welbeck (who has been loaned back to United for the season). With such amazing depth and a brilliant mix of creativity strength and out and out goal poaching ability I would say Tottenham Hotspur have the best depth of all sides in attack. Hernandez bought from United in the Bale deal will always bag you goals at the end of tight games and of course RVP has such an impressive record already so there should be no shortage of goals from this Spurs side.
The big deal's with United have also seen 4 players u23 arrive at the club and they have a solid youth foundation for the u23 cup. They also have very good depth in defence with two fantastic young Rb's in Rafael and Walker one experienced and improving LB in Ekotto and a young promising talent Fabio and 5 Cb's in particular Sahko, Dawson and Caulker all who can rise in future. There is also competition for a place in goal between Ter Stegan and Krul so even in that department their is depth!
    Room For Improvement

Despite this general depth there are areas that need improving. Most notably the central midfield position. They have good depth here with Sandro Huddlestone Bodmer and Holtby but lack that top player in the central role. They have a good midfield but the lack of a 90 rated CM could be costly. Sandro has potential to eventually fill this role for them but with no established CM at the club those tight games where they need that solidity could swing in the oppositions favor. The attacking side of the midfield does have some great players Valencia and Pastore who will no doubt provide good service to the forwards especially Valencia's crosses to Llorente who will thrive off them but without a solid base to build off of these attacking players could feel obliged to stay back and help out the midfield instead of bombing forward where they can cause most damage.
While depth is always good there is a lot of uncertainty over who is no 1 in goal for Spurs. Krul and Ter Stegan seem locked in battle for the no 1 jersey with many feeling Ter Stegan should be given the chance to improve at the club and gain experience while others suggest going for Krul is the safer option in the short term. It's a dilemma United have had with Lindegaard and De Gea in the past and if Compton's example of how to deal with it is anything to go by then Tottenham needs to fully back Ter Stegan and let him develop.
There is also some concern over William Gallas. Currently the joint highest rated defender at Tottenham Gallas is definitely on the decline and Tottenham will rely heavily on Sahko's pace to cover up any mistakes. So while there is depth there is also room for improvement in the first team.
    Best 11 and Tactics

The best 11 for Tottenham was trickier then Chelsea as there are so many players on similar ratings for each position but here is what I feel would suit Tottenham best there is a lot of reliance on the forwards in this formation but it will get the best out of them.

    4-3-3 normal (*= arrows forward)
    Ter Stegan
    Rafael* Dawson Sahko Ekotto*
    Valencia Sandro Pastore
    Van Persie Llorente Adebayor

Tackling: Normal (havent got the solid 90+ DM for Hard)
Mentality: Attacking (Take advantage of great forwards available)
Passing Style: Mixed (both long and short balls for the different strikers)
Attacking Style: Down Right Side (Use Valencia to whip in crosses)
Tempo: Normal: (Midfield doesn't have the legs for fast)
Pressing: Own half (can't rely too heavily on defence so midfield needs to also be keeping attacks at bay)
Play Style: Use Playmaker (Pastore), Use Target Man (RVP)
    Captain: RVP
    Penalty: RVP
    Free Kick: RVP
    Corner: RVP
    Playmaker: Pastore
    Target Man: RVP
    Transfer Policy

El Nino has already done 3 deals with Manchester United which shows there are strong club links there as well as 3 with PSG which shows that for the right price he is willing to deals with managed sides. There has been no obvious trend other then wanting to get United players at the club. There has been some effort put into strengthening the forward department with the additions of Welbeck, Llorente, Van Persie Callejon and Hernandez but at the same time the midfield has been weakened by losing Modric Bale VDV and Parker so they have gone from one slight imbalance to another. They have been bringing in younger players though for the u23 competition and seem well prepared for that.
    Compton's Top Transfer Tip

For me my top transfer tip would be to buy a top CM player a 90 CM is a must buy for Tottenham and I would look to use one of the 89 mid's and min cash to secure one. The defence attack and goalkeepers are sorted but CM could do with a solid player. Luckily I have been searching and have found the perfect externals for Tottenham.
    3 possible solutions;
Cabaye- By far the best solution around from external for Tottenham. Solid defensively and a good playmaker 90 rated too and IMO the missing piece of Tottenhams puzzle a deal involving huddlestone jenas and cash should be enought to secure the talented midfielder. 12.2m is his CV value.
Ballack- a good short term solution and higher rated then Cabaye with good experience in the PL. The cheaper option at 7.2 m which would require Jenas and cash to acquire I believe but he would only be a season long solution.
Valero - not the ideal CM they could have but a creative midfielder who could add to the side 90 rated but more attack minded.
    One To Watch

Well it's obvious isn't it? Robin Van Persie is the one to watch at Tottenham. Such sublime skill and one of the best finishers on the planet Tottenham's best player by far is the flying dutchman. His controversial move to Tottenham from Arsenal raised a few eyebrows but he's settled in well so far. 3 goals and 2 assists in 6 friendly's for Tottenham is a positive contribution the only worry has come in recent games where RVP has played as a winger and his performances have been much less fruitful. If I was El Nino I would stick him upfront not on the wing. He's got such a great goalscoring ability and you lose that by playing him out wide. Definitely one to watch as his pre season form has been promising and if he's played in the right position the goals will come.
As always I hope you have enjoyed reading this and found it helpful and informative.
This Sunday at 6:00pm (Likely to be delayed to Monday due to other commitments) I will be reviewing number 1 Arsenal so keep your eyes on this thread for the next installment of...

Has not been playing as much as I would like. Is the player being moved back to the Reserve league games? Haven't seen him for some time' date=' I thought would see him like late sub weekly, or a longer game every other week.
I think he's good, but looking at things, it seems quite some time before he can be a critical player in terms of SM.
I suppose next change is in Jun-August period? I doubt he'll rise, very low chance. He could get +1 in mid-season if Swansea avoid relegation and he continues to feature regularly.

Well, for now he's Roma best RB. Not much, probably +1 in next change. And no, 88/89 MAX. I don't think he'll get 89 or 90 anytime sooner. I'm sure Roma will sign new RB in Summer mercato.

Watford thrash another top team , Tottenham Hotspur away from home with 4-2 win over them to reach 3rd Round in English Shield . An average rating of 85 Watford with full of reserve player totally deserve the win . H.Herrera , A.Poli , Vela and B.Ibrahima score each while VD Wiel and Modric score for them .
Last round Watford beat ManU 3-0 at Old Trafford . Next , 3rd Round will see Watford travel to Southend United .
BTW , just done my new Watford signature replace the old one .

His playing style is that of a battler, putting his body on the line with gritted teeth
He didnt cost anything, i read a translated article which states gremio own 35% of his rights, 35% to a businessman Jorge Machado and the serie C side owns the rest with Gremio due to purchase a further 15% of their 30% during 2012.
id also like to add he is the most un-brazilian looking chap ive seen! his nickname is 'albino' in reference to his fair skin and almost ginger hair..
