  1. Apologies mate, it wasn’t necessarily for winter review, more so if the players continue their current form/minutes played, are the rating predictions looking good?
  2. What are your thoughts on these Rating Predictions for end of this season? I’ve never predicted before so some may well be skew-whiff Idrissa Gueye (91➡️92) - will SM give him back after he lost it? Jordan Veretout (90➡️91) Mikel Merino (90➡️91) Moussa Diaby (89➡️90) Patrick Schick (89➡️90) Victor Osimhen (89➡️90) Vinicius Junior (89➡️90) Jonathan David (89➡️90) Zambo Anguissa (89➡️90) Mario Rui (89➡️90) Abdou Diallo (89➡️90) Sandro Tonali (89➡️90) Tammy Abraham (89➡️90) Jude Bellingham (88➡️89/90) Matteo Pessina (88➡️89) Donyell Malen (88➡️89) Mahmoud Dahoud (88➡️89) Fikayo Tomori (88➡️89) Takehiro Tomiyasu (88➡️89) Luis Diaz (88➡️89) Brahim Diaz (86➡️88/89) Demarai Gray (87➡️88/89) Juan Foyth (87➡️89) Alexis Saelemaekers (88➡️89) Edson Alvarez (87➡️88) Ander Barrenetxea (86➡️87) Yeremi Pino (84➡️87) Mohamed Simakan (85➡️88) Amine Gouiri (87➡️89) Odilon Kossounou (85➡️88) Noussair Mazraoui (88➡️89) Gregor Kobel (87➡️89) Jean Todibo (83➡️86/87) Nico Schlotterbeck (82➡️85) Melvin Bard (82➡️86/87) Joe Scally (73➡️83) Kamaldeen Sulemana (82➡️87)
  3. Has Matheus Martinelli been missed or will he be gotten round to in next couple of days? Anyone know?!
  4. Apologies but couldn’t seem to find a forum post/topic on this subject … it’s a question regarding receiving bids from external clubs. Are there timescales as to when you can expect a bid for someone listed from external? It seems to be very random as to when bids come in, ie some come 1st day of being listed, some can take weeks. What’s the longest you’ve seen/gone yourself without receiving a bid and is there any logic as to why it happens with inconsistency? - Does what you list the player play a factor? Ie listing for his value vs listing for 20% over his value. - anything else play a factor?
  5. What’s everyone’s thoughts on Rafa Mir’s transfer to Sevilla? Think it’ll be a success?
  6. Not even now, given Fofana just broke his leg? 😥 Absolutely horrible tackle for a pre-season game!
  7. Tapsoba I just think has the higher ceiling. Strong, nice passer and comfortable at left CB so think he gets a move at some point. Just undergone surgery and will miss start of the season so will have to see how he returns from the injury but I much prefer him to Diallo. Excited to see what Allegri does with McKennie - seems to allude in his recent interviews to using him similarly to how he used Vidal during his last Juve tenure.
  8. Anyone aware of the cutoff time for transfers being completed on gamedays? This is something I’ve always been intrigued by, keeping a player for the game but for the transfer to be completed as soon after the game as possible. Is there a time prior to kickoff/amount of hours before kickoff where the player isn’t guaranteed to leave or a player who’s been accepted won’t join? Thanks in advance 🙂
  9. Shrewd signing for Rennes this! Interesting to see how he gets on in Ligue 1!
  10. So out of interest, what’s the highest rating change you’ve had for a player during your time on SM? Not multiple changes, just the 1. I’ve not really paid attention until late but did enjoy Jan Bieganski’s +16 this May. And in relation to that, are you aware of any players who in their next review will get +10 (or more)? Thanks in advance!
  11. My favourite 3 would be (in no particular order) Mohamed Simakan, Loïc Badé and Joško Gvardiol
  12. Great question! Thought I’d have a go with the goalkeepers. 1️⃣Robert Sanchez (85) - Brighton - Really think he puts himself in the shop window this season, building on a stellar season last where he took the #1 shirt. Everything you’d want in a modern goalkeeper, just feel he needs to improve his parrying of shots - has a tendency to parry back into trouble at times but if he can work on this, sky really is the limit. Has the dream size (6ft 5in), super aggressive coming for crosses and great reactions/shot-stopping - Marca recently referred to him as ‘La Pantera’, which I’m led to believe means Panther. Speaks volumes he’s been included in the Spanish squad for the Euros too. The only concern I have is whether a team could get a deal done with Brighton, given he recently signed a deal until 2025 and they’ve proven of late (with clubs pursuing Lamptey/White/Bissouma) that they won’t be bullied into selling at below their valuations. May be sexier risers for next season and isn’t going to be a 90 overnight but a high ceiling talent. 🚨Honourable Mentions 🚨 Etienne Green (76) - Saint Etienne - 6ft 4 and only 20, he was thrown in last season after injuries to both #1 and #2 - not a bad start either, saving a penalty on his debut! I’d absolutely love him to start next season as #1 but even if he doesn’t, got to think he’d be due a loan move to continue his development. Gavin Bazunu (73) - Man City (on loan at Portsmouth) - Was on loan to Rochdale in League 1 last year (who were relegated) and he was absolutely peppered. Now on his way to Pompey (who finished 8th last year), I think he could kick on and perhaps help them with a promotion push and even if unsuccessful, I see him playing Championship football a year from now, as his development continues. Made his debut for the Republic of Ireland also, at only 19!
  13. More of a back and forth this than watching Andy Murray this evening at Wimbledon 🎾 Although I will say, if you 2 ever pick up the rackets, tickets will be must-buy 🎟🤣
  14. Super excited to see a potential CB partnership of Gvardiol and Simakan. Great balance (1 left footer, 1 right) and both supremely talented - just praying Simakan can stay fit because that partnership could be spectacular. Going to be really interesting watching Leipzig next season under Jesse Marsch.
  15. Hence why Haaland should’ve gotten 94 and Sancho 93 ... I’d genuinely love to see the numbers for someone like Gnabry (or others who moved from 92 to 93) and what their performances over that time period looked like in comparison to Sancho.
  16. I agree with this and I’m not sure how far the needle changed since this article (which was written on the 6th April) but here’s a visual that clearly shows the importance of Sancho for Dortmund this season - sourced via FootballCritic. I know Dortmund’s season was far from perfect but he’s one of the key reasons they managed to finish 3rd this season and for me it shouldn’t have been 1 or the other that got 93, instead both.
  17. Appreciate the detail concerning what type of GameWorld it is - can be left off on occasion when asked and really does go a long way. I’d personally stand firm until after the summer reviews have completed - you’ve got a player that’s likely to jump +2 to 93 and as you’ve said, has a high ceiling. Couple that with Saul, who isn’t nailed on to keep his 93 and time is your friend. If that deal is on the table now, I’d imagine it’ll be on the table post-review. In the meantime I’d do some digging internally as to who may be available as a long term replacement for Dani Alves - also worth noting that out of the last 50 games Gimenez has played, he’s played right back just 10% (5 games). That said, it isn’t outside the realm of possibility that somewhere down the line he’d lose that right back versatility - attached below and sourced via FootballCritic. Let us know how you get on 🙂
  18. This is a part of the game I’m still trying to wrap my head around so the discussion really helps. My question would be ... Peter Gulacsi recently turned 31 (odd year) so I was under the assumption his value would fall to reflect a 31 year old 91 rated player, ie fall from £15m ish to £10m ish. Any idea as to why this didn’t happen?
  19. Feel this is asked after every Dortmund game of late, given Sancho is hitting in with another goal and/or assist but hey ho I’ll allow it ... what % now we talking for Sancho getting 93? 🤣
  20. Phil Foden is a generational talent so I would take it in a heartbeat. He’s got the greater ceiling of the 3 (by some margin imo). No matter how competitive the GameWorld, that deal is worth it too because I feel post summer review the price a player of Foden could command will be much much much greater than the one you’ve been quoted 😀
  21. I’d imagine this is because all Wigan’s Under 21s are playing for the first-team, given the financial predicament they got into! Still, some result that! From my own experiences with arrows, less is more most definitely. I tend to stick to fullbacks/CDMs when I do my arrows - occasionally the CAM formation depending
  22. Yes Agree with @Kieran_S91but more about when they get around to it, given he’s outside the top 5 leagues. Linked with a number of prem sides though so worth holding onto, especially if a competitive GW. From the little I’ve seen: Senesi > White > Disasi > Bornauw
  23. If you’re on the Pedro/Jesus/£2m side, in a heartbeat. If you’re on the Haaland side, unless that’s THE actual Jesus who turns water into red wine I’d pass.
  24. Milenkovic - No. Played pretty much the whole season for Fiorentina but they sit 15th at present so stay for me. Been linked with Manchester United for a fair while though so may be worth seeing what the summer holds first. Elvedi - Very similar to above but Gladbach sit 7th. Yet to sign a contract extension and has flirted with leaving for Italy (or elsewhere) so similarly may be worth seeing what the summer holds. Mukiele - More chance than the other 2 (at least short-term) - got to think the departure of Upamecano and potentially losing Konate could help up his minutes next season but not done enough for 91 as yet imo. Torres - The greatest chance at 91 for me, given he’s got the minutes and SM could be kind because of Villarreal’s Europa League run. Their league position may hold him back but given he’s a left footed CB in a time where greater balance matters across the pitch matters, Torres would be the one I’d hold.
  25. Not for me, I don’t think his minutes have been enough to warrant 92. He couldn’t get a game under Lampard but similar to others, he’s thriving under Tuchel. I wouldn’t have an issue with him getting 92 if they won the Champions League but maybe 60/40 for me he gets it if they win the UCL. His performances have been criticised after his potential move to Liverpool fell through. Similar to Kieran, I haven’t heard any reports linking him elsewhere. If you’re yet to sign him and it’s in a GameWorld where money matters, I’d monitor the situation and see if I could pick him up after he turns 25 and his price is adjusted down - still learning about how it gets adjusted but think it’ll drop on 1st October (maybe someone can confirm this?) Agree 100% with @Kieran_S91
