  1. Re: |English Championship 30000|Discussions/MRs Thread Millers go down 2-0 again this time against Gillingham, poor performance all round. A few new recruits will be making their way to the New York stadium very soon
  2. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Fleetwood were held 1 all by Dagenham and Redbridge with Compper scoring Fleetwood's goal. Despite creating numerous chances Dagenham's keeper produced a string of saves to stop Town from securing the 2nd clinching goal. Town have now dropped to 7th spot and missed the chance to cut the gap to only 2 points on Barnet in third spot.
  3. Re: EC 30000 Reports Thread Rotherham slipped to a second defeat by 2 goals to nil away at Gillingham. The Gills were the better and brighter side throughout and the worry of not scoring again is a major concern. "We were poor, only glimpses of our attacking play were seen late on when we were 2 down. Things have to improve", boss Reynolds said. When he was quizzed on a new striker coming in, "this will happen 100%. We need to strengthen in that area as well as centre midfield" Jinty Caenepeel has arrived from KAA Gent and the lad is seen as a bright talent for the future who can play wide on the right or upfront. Rotherham have let several players go so they can strengthen their squad.
  4. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Fleetwood consolidated their play-off push and still outside chance of automatic with a 4-2 home win over Hartlepool. Eduardo was the star of the show scoring a hat-trick, all stunning free-kicks with Gonzalez netting the other. The top 2 look likely to go up, but with 10 points only separating 3rd from 12th it will be very interesting.
  5. Re: EC 30000 Reports Thread Rotherham started their Division 3 campaign with a 2-0 defeat at title favourites Wolves. The Millers tried to frustrate Wolves but Lasogga's strike on 14 minutes put pay to that although Betinho forced Horn into a decent save. Savic second half strike sealed the win for the home side and although Wolves were more dominate, Betinho this time at the end of second half forced Horn into a fine save. "I have no complaints about the scoreline. We came to frustrate and the first goal settled them and changed the game. Some of the lads will have to learn fast in these big games as they froze out there tonight", said Reynolds to the waiting media. It will be a long hard season and if we can get into mid-table I will be happy as we are building for the future with a group of younger players. The millers have agreed deals for Ontivero and Dendoncker, plus hope to land Balasa with strong competition from Bury.

  16. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Fleetwood returned to winning ways with a 2-0 away win at Tranmere. Goals from Kane and Bakenga sealed the win and moved Town up to 5th place in the table. The win came at a cost as both Bakayoko and Eduardo leaving Town short with midfield quality in the next few games. "We were excellent 1st half and scored the goals which won the game. Tranmere created chances but we got blocks and they missed a few but we won't complain", commented boss Reynolds. If anybody has a DM or CM 80+ I could loan even for just a 3/4 games taht would be great.
  17. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- SM throws up some bizarre results- and here Posh won 11-2, yes 11-2 away at Shrewsbury. 18. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Fleetwood went down 2-0 at home to 2nd placed Chesterfield, Geijo netting a double for the away side. Fleetwood created a gatful of chances and failed to take them. "Gutted! Chesterfield took what few chances they had and we failed- simple! The players played well enough to win the game but moments like that cost you games. We move on to Tranmere now who are 8th and making decent progress", commented Lee Reynolds
  19. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Posh made it 3 wins from 3 thanks to on loan Man Utd midfielder Nick Powell's late 2nd half strike. "It was a tough night we dominated but couldn't find the breakthrough until late. There keeper was outstanding and certainly kept the score down. Shrewsbury next away represents our next challenge", said boss Reynolds.
  20. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread County progressed to the 3rd round of the Shield on Monday night getting revenge to their league defeat by beating Swindon 3-2. Silva, Lucas and Waris scored the goals. On Wednesday night Stockport were held at home by Reading in an 8 goal thriller. The leaders lead three times in the match but were pegged back by a spirited County side with Fernandez netting two, Diaz and Bergessio the others. County fought back from 4-2 to gain a deserved point. "I was pleased with players spirit if we can play with this tempo and believe we will get the results to pull away fromt he bottom I'm sure", Reynolds commented. Yaya Sanogo scored a hat-trick and Lee Tomlin chipped in with the other, all the gaols coming in an entertaining 1st half.
