  4. Re: Available GC Teams (This is NOT a Discussion Thread) A quite poor Barcelona in GC 31 with an ageing Puyol (94) a not-any-longer-for-a-top-club-playing Gomez (93) an old-and-overrated Cole (93) a soon-in-Russia-or-Qatar-playing Valdes (93) an old-and-recently-back-from-playing-in-Russia Eto'o (92) another old-and-overrated-Englishmen Carrick (92) a quite-still-ok Ivanovic (92) a rather-immobile Mertesacker (91) and many more. I'm certainly not leaving my AEK for this Barca.
  5. - The Ultimate Rating Comparison - Finally and punctual with most teams having already been re-rated I was bored enough again to start a rating comparison of the big leagues. I collected all the data of the teams in the 6 biggest leagues of Europe namely the British Premier League, the German Bundesliga, the Spanish Primera Division, the Italian Serie A, the French Ligue 1 and the Portuguese Primeira Liga. I took the data from SM, put it in an Excel file, shaked the file a bit and got the following results which I don't want to keep back from you. Average Rating of the whole squad ****************************************** Average Rating of the eleven best players ****************************************** Ranking by the highest rated player (Note: If two or more players share the highest rating, only one of them will be mentioned in here.) ****************************************** Number of players rated X of each team

  10. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread Actually Rojas is injured since he joined Stuttgart with a midfoot fracture. So I wouldn't be too surprised that he hasn't played yet and I also wouldn't make any conjectures whether he has chances or not. -------------------------------------------- And congratulations to Ribery. IMO well deserved due to the impact he had for the treble winner.
  11. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread Konferenz is always more entertaining to me. Apparently it was because he slapped Julian Schuster ... while Salihovic was celebrating. At least this was said by the commentator.
  12. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread Salihovic scores a penalty, then thinks: "Screw you guys, I'm going home" and gets a red card right after his goal.

  16. Re: Official Bundesliga Discussion Thread All I can think of now 7UhF_4YUdjM&t=6 And first I felt embarrassed for the poor season opening of those guys and girls in white who tried to 'perform'. But then I had to realise that I even felt more embarrassed for the 'awesome' Bavarian fans who whistled down League president Rauball while he was holding a short opening speech. Just because he's also chairman of Dortmund. That's so poor - I really feel sorry for all those intellectually challenged fans.

  19. Re: Bundesliga Ratings Discussion Basically it isn't bad to sell Kirchhoff IMO. I can't see him getting much playing time at Bayern to be honest. Boateng and Dante are far better and have been rock-solid last season. Badstuber currently is still injured but as soon as he will be back, he will also be above Kirchhoff in the pecking order. And last but not least I have a feeling that Guardiola will use Martinez as a CB more often next season. However I can't tell you if Zaha has better chances at United. ----------------------------------- Regarding the Ribery - Ballon d'or discussion: Should Ribery rise? Yes, IMO he should rise. However rising to 96 would be enough especially considering that there are rarely +2 rises in these rating regions. Ribery had been on 95 for ages now. Sometimes he was near to drop due to longer injuries however then he often came back performing so well that it would have been insane to drop him. Last season he hadn't had big injury problems and he again performed on the highest level topping his performance with winning the treble. Should Ribery win the Ballon d'or? Maybe. I certainly might agree that Ronaldo and especially Messi has been playing outstanding in La Liga again. Their goal scoring values are simply world class. However the question is: Is it enough to score ~45 goals in the league against weaker opponents? Or is it more valuable if a player also plays a big role in the important matches of the CL and helps his team to reach and win the final? As said before: In the end it won't matter if Ribery wins this trophy or not as everyone should be able to classify the importance of a trophy which is awarded by a horde of journalists (or something like that).
  20. Re: The race to reach 90 - Second Edition Finally managed to update the table: Sylar's choice de Sciglio indeed has best chances to win this race. But I myself also wouldn't rule out Carvajal who might get a +2 if he manages to become regular at Real.
  21. Re: Brazil Série A Rating Predictions Totally agree with you. Was a bit surprised to see him getting 92. In my opinion SM could have waited with this rise until he has made his first appearances for Barcelona (not saying that it was deserved in general but I guess the rise was inevitable). As a Bundesliga supporter I might be biased but I think there are quite a few players of 2 CL finalists that need to be re-rated more urgently than Neymar.
