  1. Re: Current Multiplayer Problems & Solutions

    Nothing has changed regarding this and we'll start to work on the problems that have been highlighted shortly after Soccer Manager 2015 has been launched along with other new features and improvements.

    Ok so here it is boys. The confirmation from a SM employee that the reason MULTIPLAYER has been on hold since earlier this year IS because OF SINGLE PLAYER.

    THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

    Since im paying for multiplayer and dont give a F about single player, i want my money back.

    SERIOUSLY you people are bordering criminal activity here, or at least a serious offense, especially one in violation of morality. Concealing real intentions, unresponsive towards the 'Community' when questioned, utter disrespect for us .

    IM DONE with YOU SM. But you will still be receiving my emails on this.

  2. Re: Current Multiplayer Problems & Solutions

    Many thanks to those of you have have taken the time to provide feedback in this thread as well as several others that I have come across on the forum. This will be used along with other feedback from our communications to help address current problems with the multiplayer. I'll continue to read your posts like I have done in the past. From this I will put together a presentation for management on what you and I believe to be the current problems (as I am viewing this as a gamer as i'm a long term manager like you). This will result in the correct things being addressed going forward.

    As i thought... nothing is being done. GUYS stop falling to these eluding tactics, its all to defraud us.

    FACT, SM has taken steps to automatize multiplayer (SMFA, Soccerwiki, Concerns, endless new Gameworlds, etc...).

    FACT, the SM team has been so much involved with single player that they even created a funding campaign to generate extra funds for the development.

    FACT, the Beta and Alpha have been out yet cant even change a single rating number of the top teams on the database.

    I believe multiplayer has been officially terminated since single player was announced but they have kept it running in order to receive pay to further the single player work. Think about it, 0 has been done for multiplayer since single player, not even proper customer feedback. And think what would happen if they announced the termination of multiplayer... All of us would go, leaving SM with no ad revenue and no gold membership revenue. SM multiplayer (and subsequently single player) would be history.

    SM will keep bluffing changes and doing nothing, stringing us along with multiplayer so they can fund the single player.

    Steven needs more feedback for a "presentation"... Yeah right, just use the search tool and have a look at the thousands of threads on the subject. Its against forum rules to duplicate posts.

  3. Re: Current Multiplayer Problems & Solutions

    First and last issue i would like to report here is SM ignoring community opinion on key problems.

    I know you probably think your thread here contradicts what I'm saying, but think harder... Suggestion/Improvement threads theres plenty, still you've have systematically managed to deliver a less appealing end product.

    I have been playing since 2008 and witnessed many changes to the game, many of them small improvements, cosmetics which made the game in general feel better, but on the issues that really matter such as Ratings, Transfer market, Cheating its just been a turn for the worse. Forever we have been battling these issues yet stubbornly you keep pushing these systems (soccerwiki, smfa) that obviously don't work, that came to be when there was no need.

    I understand the urge of creating a self-sustaining game, heck i'd also like to sit at home all day while the 'community' does the work for me and keeps money flowing into my pocket, but clearly this is not getting anywhere. I remember this forum before Soccerwiki, the rating threads, discussions, now it turned into an eerie place, abandoned, with no engagement. You probably know it better than me having access to all the numbers.

    Every business man knows growth is the only way to success, I'm glad your company is doing well and has set an high aim, congrats. But what about us, setting automated responses (or no response at all) to our long struggle with cheaters is not the answer. Creating a passive system for ratings when it should be exactly the opposite is not the answer. The constant drive to rise the value of play money, the numerous ridiculous changes for this effect are not the answer. These are straight forward issues you continued to ignore our voice, Soccermanager multiplayer, Soccermanager, has lost something because of it.

    I ask please take a step back and reconsider some of these issues. Soccerwiki failed. SMFA failed. Bring the Soccermanager deskman back into the equation. It was good enough.

  4. Re: Is reporting illeagal transfers broken?

    The following is from a Game Update in May:

    We are still listening to our communities feedback re the SMFA and make small adjustments based on this information.

    SMFA is the problem with cheating. Soccerwiki is the problem with the sluggish ratings. SM is the problem with the match engine. Lets make this a three problem ball juggle game, forget football.

  5. Re: Riferimento: Main leagues player ratings

    A new match engine has been made and tested within the single player. Once we are satisfied with this it will be used in the mutltiplayer

    Nice, fingers crossed. Still, when will a Soccer manager admin acknowledge and take into consideration members voting for Main Leagues players rating that reflects last season performance?

  6. Re: Main leagues player ratings

    Player and player ratings are reviewed and updated by members of the Soccer Wiki community. This information is then transferred over.

    So i actually went ahead and registered to Soccerwiki community.

    How can you claim its a member driven process if there is an admin that accepts or discards changes? This is not a democratic vote anymore when YOU have the finals say so on changes made. So i was right to direct my questions at SM.

  7. Re: Main leagues player ratings

    Player and player ratings are reviewed and updated by members of the Soccer Wiki community. This information is then transferred over.

    Thank you for your reply. Well in that case, this system is working painfully slow. As i stated before so much has happened, it is not reflected on players rating.

    This has to be the reason why:

    Hummels is not on par with Thiago Silva, Pique;

    David Luiz is above Varane;

    Courtois is 3 points below Neuer;

    Verratti PSG midfield genius is awarded 90;

    Origi received only +1;

    James Rodriguez is still at 91;

    Kroos went only to 93 while Iniesta is 97;

    and why Messi, who still had a good season, was not at his level that enabled the 99 rating and remains at 99.

    Just to name a few, sorry to say but these example expose Soccerwiki as inefficient, too passive.

  8. How long until the main leagues get players ratings updated?

    Most of these players had rating changes in January 2014 / February 2014 (If not earlier in 2013).

    Since then we seen the domestic leagues 13/14 season finish, UCL finals stages and final. The Fifa World cup full tournament and winner. The start of the 14/15 season.

    How many more competitions, awards and stats do we have to go through for a fair review of the players performance in this year?

    Serious question.

    Thanks.

  9. Re: Riferimento: Re: Riferimento: Re: Buy, Sell or Keep Thread?

    Wait' date=' about the minutes per goal statistic, you must consider that Lacazette is the cornerstone (i hope this is the right word) of his team, the number 10, and he's also the best attacker of Olympique Lyonnais. Obviously he is the one who most score, and his teammates always try to give him the ball for shot.

    Ljajic doesnt play in a central position as Lacazette does but he plays as winger in Roma (right winger to be more precise, and he uses the right foot over the left one, so he can't run back toward the area with the goal wide open as Robben does), the N10 and best playmaker of the team is Totti, after Totti the second playmaker is Pjanic, and also Maicon (despite he hasn't anymore the speed and the power that he had a couple of years ago) has the brain, the experience and the foot for build the game from behind. Ljajic for the team is just a reserve who must prove to be good enough for play in that club, when Garcia decides to give him a chance.

    And dont forget that score in France is so much easier than score in Italy. So, talkin about minutes per goal, a goal by Ljajic is more valuable than a goal scored by Lacazette.

    Anyway, in my opinion Ljajic is a great talent with a huge potential, and i'd choose him over Lacazette. But also Lacazette is a very good player, i'm not saying that Ljajic will be 93 in the future and Lacazette will never reach 91, i just dont know that, im just saying that i prefer the serbian guy. I saw what he could do in the future when he played for Fiorentina, and i'm pretty sure he can become a great player, over 91 for sure, but [b']only[/b] if they give him confidence.

    I really hope to see him play lotta games this year, since Roma will play 3 different competitions, while last year they only played 2.

    Great, thanks a bunch! As i dont see them play that often this is really helpful. Ill go for Ljajic

  10. Re: Riferimento: Re: Buy, Sell or Keep Thread?

    I like them both. Ljajic is really gifted' date=' but he doesn't fit the playstyle of Garcia (Garcia likes fast wingers, while Ljajic is a bit slow). He's a second striker but Roma plays 4-3-3, he could be the reserve of Totti (CF) or Gervinho (winger), but his main role is right behind the center forward (4-4-1-1, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-2-1, 4-1-2-1-2 ecc...). This is why he should change team, he needs to play as regular, and in Roma he's not.

    Lacazette is a really good player too, faster than Ljajic (even if i think that Ljajic has more vision), and he's a regular in his team.

    They're similar as to talent, but one is a reserve in a big team, the other one is a regular in a smaller one. It's up to you.[/quote']

    So chances are Lacazette gets the +1 sooner as he plays more regularly? Its a tough pick, I manage a team with limited resources and both players are in unmanaged squads but Lacazette is valued at 12.5 M Ljajic at 9.5 M

    Also looking at their real life stats they are quite leveled, even though Ljajic played less both have a pretty close minutes per goal ratio.. still Lacazette does have an edge..

    Roma will have Champions League football while Lyon is out of European competitions this year... Tough choice

  11. Re: Massive cheating

    I have stated on the multitude of threads that keep popping up about cheaters' date=' if you have the GW id's the username(s) (screenshots) are useful, gather as much information as you can and then PM SM Dev Steven here on the forums it will get looked into.

    We all know the SMFA monitoring system is massively flawed however the above mentioned Dev is not and it will get looked at and dealt with. I have first hand experience of this and when asked, he (Dev Steven) has acted and the players/cheaters removed.[/quote']

    Whats the point of a cheat report system if they do nothing about it.. Every, EVERY gameworld i join has cheaters, its getting out of hand. I report ALL the dubious transfers and nothing is done, not a single time since they announced single player i've gotten a positive action to a report.

  12. Re: Buy, Sell or Keep Thread?

    I would definitely keep him.
    Keep !

    Anybody have any ideas on Falcao ? Worth it on the cheap or stay a mile away ?

    ok, just saw he moved to liverpool so will see how he does next season. thanks

    @falcao, hard to tell.. his fitness has been a problem, with all the injuries.. still i think 94 is a bit high for him atm.

  13. Has SM stopped investigating cheaters?

    I wanted to place a thread on a cheater but considering the growing amount of threads on the subject i decided to reformulate the question.

    Is there a new general complacency towards cheaters? Or is SM headquarters too busy with other matters (i.e. SM Single player)?

    I will give a very clear example. The 2013/14 real football season start i took over a new team in a new GW. A manager was clearly having multiple accounts (5 of them), i reported him, all accounts were gone from the GW some transfers, not all, reversed.

    Day after new account takes over the benefited club, same name style, location etc.. quite obvious same guy/girl. But this time more careful, not rushing transfers. Slowly new accounts start spawning, making not so suspicious transfers, but surely start to get to ridiculous levels. This is around the time SM announces the Single player.

    I start again reporting the transfers, but this time no action taken from SM. What has changed? Same guy, similar looking accounts (not to say identical, which wouldnt be a exaggeration), ridiculous transfers strictly benefiting one club, and before was found guilty...

    Clearly there is a difference in actions/philosophy in SM.. could someone please clarify what is going on?

  14. Re: Is Soccermanager losing it's appeal

    Our latest project on Kickstarter might interest you all.

    SM, full support when:

    -you want to change back to a scheduled rating review

    -set the old transfer settings, and stop these discrepancy in chairman values

    -leave the tendency of continuously creating ways of lowering teams capital

    -develop the game engine.

    And im a designer of profession, heres a tip: invest some money in a new logo, 3d pitch in tactics, trophy icons etc etc etc.. its so simple to better these small aspects, creating a more visually appealing site in general.

  15. Re: william carvalho

    Must buy! Quite developed for his age. Calm on the ball, humble personality, rarely loses a challenge and rarely misses a pass. I have no doubt Portugal coach will make him 1st choice DM at the world cup Also theres rumors Man U will try to secure his signing in the summer

  16. Re: PLEASE SM - Reintroduce the rating schedule!!

    ;2465468']i mentioned Glenn for his league schedule review he put together a long time back' date=' before this whole Soccerwiki debate... it was in his signature...not referencing him for his views on the changes that are about now...just to avoid confusion.

    your quick to forget reasons why it was so slow....they had the whole position overhaul, the height, weight, full name, preferred foot....all this is new data that had to be collated.....plus the winter break & transfer window!......

    [b']mark my words i guarantee the next review wont take '3' months...[/b]

    I don't want to reignite all the discussions as I have let my Gold Membership run out and spend little time on the game anymore. Slowness of ratings and lack of communication are the main reasons I stopped playing the game so much after 5 years.

    However the above quote sticks in my mind, it was a reply to a question of mine 12 months ago (page 7). Nice to see that 12 month's later everything has been sorted out and the new random review system will get the big 5 leagues completed in 2 1/2 months :rolleyes:

    Brilliant :D
