  1. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Thanks a lot to everyone who voted for me. Didn't expect it considering ive been knocked off top spot but i need to try and find some form and put some daylight between me and Charlton.
  2. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread I think there is some sort of bug on Nelson Rivas. Every game he's played so far he's came out injured and every single game he's played I've been strugling Looks like ill have to bring Nounkeu back in the defence and never play Rivas again after tonight's 4-1 loss. Got knocked off top spot but still 2 points infront of 3rd placed Charlton. Exeter next. Expecting to take maximum point from that game.
  3. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread Goal Machine Seydou Doumbia completes his £7 million move to Millwall Yesterday it was confirmed that Millwall had completed the signing of 22 year old Ivory Coast international Seydou Doumbia for a fee of £7 million from BSC Young Boys. Doumbia is likely to play a big part in the run in for Millwall and his manager believes that he'll be a massive hit in England. Having hit the back of the net 29 times in his last 28 games for his previous club, Parker believes that there will be a lot of expectation on his shoulders but expects him to find his feet quickly in England and become a massive fan favourite over the seasons to come. This was what his Parker had to say about his new acquisition. Lodeiro has been in sensational form since signing at the beginning of the season Moving on from the signing Parker also spoke about the delight of opening up a five point cussion over third place Charlton but doesn't expect his team to get complacent. He knows that there is still a long way to go and expects his team to keep up the good form going into tonight's game against MK Dons. He also praised the partnership of Alberto Costa and Lodeiro supporting Domiguez and thinks that the signing of Doumbia will keep everybody on their toes. Griezmann impressive in training at the beginning of the season Finally he concluded his press conference by saying that he expects Griezmann to be back in training next week after being sidelined for 8 weeks due to an arm injury sustained at the beginning of the season. The young frenchman was bought for 500k at the beginning of the season and vitally important in the future and Parker has promised not to rush him back from his rehabilitation.
  4. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Completed the signing of Seydou Doumbia for £7 million from young boys My chairman only values him at £6.3 million but he's likely to rise from 86-88 when the swiss ratings are reviewed. He's likely to leave for CSKA in the summer. (I think) and he has a fantastic goal scoring record and was very surprised nobody else picked him up So far this season he's played 28 games and has scored 29 goals  Really delighted with that deal and he's one for the long term Should start alongside Drogba at the world cup.
  5. Re: The tribes Cheers for accepting my application Gadga Took over Hamilton and I'm hoping to build a young team.
  6. Re: Lacina Traore CFR Cluj Starter only rated 74 (snap him up quick) Apart from the Arsenal rumours in January I haven't heard nothing. He has played quite a number of games but he is struggling to find the back of the net but should rise to around 83-85 when the Romanian ratings comes around He's played 30 games so far this season with 7 goals which gives a ratio of around 1 goal in every 4 games which isn't that impressive for a striker but he should move to a bigger league in the near future and I would keep hold of him.
  7. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread I would be happy to start doing a division 3 check starting in June. Don't think ill be on the forum much for the next month or so due to exams but after that ill be willing to give it a go if its alright with you guys.
  8. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Finally I've managed to go top of division 3 for the first time this season. Never expected to be so high considering my poor start to the season. Won 1-0 against Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton lost which now sees me top of the table with a 2 point cussion over Charlton and Norwich. I've also noticed that changing tactics on a game basis is working really well so I might just keep doing that. Need to stay focused as I've got some really tough fixtures coming up.
  9. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread Parker expects more of the same tonight after moving into second place Alberto Facundo Costa likely to make his debut tonight Millwall manager Hans Parker today spoke about his delight of staying in the top 2 for longer than a week and how he expects his team to build on from there. Since the start of the season, Parker has never seen his team stay in the top 2 for longer than a week and we caught up with the manager and asked him a couple of questions. So Hans finally, you've managed to hang onto that 2nd place spot for longer than a week. Do you think you can stay there till the end of the season? You are speaking about consolidationg second place. Do you not think that you could challenge for that top spot? You have a very tricky game tonight against Wycombe Wanderers. How do you think your players will fear into that game? Can the fans expect to see Costa today? Thanks a lot for your time Hans and goodluck in your game tonight.
  10. Re: English Championship 3951 Disscusion thread My Plymouth Argyle team starts life in Division 2 against one of the best team in the league. (Nottingham Forest). Don't expect much from the game but I'll try and get atleast a draw if I can and build on from there. Nottingham are a decent team and missed on on playing in division 1 by losing in the play-off final so I need to be at my best to get a result from that game. Even if lose it won't be a disastrous result.
  11. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread Parker promises to ditch negative tactic and go all out to win Camera's waiting for Parker to arrive at his press conference Yesterday in his press conference before today's match against Gillingham, Millwall manager Hans Parker has came out and said that he's going to drop his favoured 5-4-1 formation and will pick a more attacking formation which he thinks will get the Lions more goals. The Millwall fans have been watching their team employ a negative approach to games after scoring first and the news that Parker is likely to revert to a more attacking styled formation is likely to please most if not all of the Millwall fans travelling to Gillingham today. He has been criticised heavily for employing his negative formation considering the amount of attacking talents he's got at his disposal and it looks like the news has reached him and this was what he had to say yesterday Parker Impressed with Coates progress After talking about tactics, he moved on to say how impressed he was with Sebastian Coates attitude in training and how he believes the young Uruguayan starlet will have a huge and bright career infront of him. Since arriving in a double swap alongside Nicolas Lodeiro, the 19 year old has already featured 8 times scoring a goal aswell as providing an assist. Parker believes there is lots to come And finally he concluded his press conference by anouncing that Alberto Facunda Costa has agreed to join the club. He expressed his joy by telling the fans that he'll be a very good signing for the club and expect him to play a crucial part in the team's remainder of the season. Alberto Costa expected to complete his move later tonight
  12. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Mauricio DIAZ rated 80. Anybody who wants him on loan just put a loan bid in.
  13. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Another batch of risers from Uruguay today Rodrigo PASTORINI +2 76 Sebastián COATES+7 85 Mauricio PEREYRA +7 82 Mauro GOICOECHEA +5 78 Absolitely delighted with these rise especially the one for Coates. From what I've reseasrched on him,he's got a big future ahead of him and is expected to move to europe in the summer. So I'll keep hold of him until the summer and see what happens Mauricio Pereyra (82)can go on loan until his TB runs out.
  14. Re: English Championship 3951 Disscusion thread Sorry about that Chewis. When I took over Plymouth, we were lurking over the relagation zone and 25 games later managed to finish second. That's a great achievement because before I took over, the team hardly had any quality and I believe with the recent signings and a couple more to come I should be equiped for a comfortable mid table position next season .
  15. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread You've bet me to quite a few as well I still remember at the start of the season you stole quite a few risers from Argentina off me. Lol sorry about that first come first serve.
  16. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread lost 3-1 against colchester at home. Quite disapointed with the result as this was one of the games i needed to win to try and challenge Charlton for the title. By the looks of things both Charlton and Norwich won which leaves me trailing Charlton by 4 points and only one goal seperates me and Norwich + Barnsley are only one point behind. Looks like the fight for promotion might go down the wire.
  17. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Got a small 10k riser today Emmanuel GOMEZ from 70-75
  18. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread mark_14 He's quite good and has a thread on sig request. Ask him and I'm sure he'll do one for you.
  19. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Oh thats funny A couple of weeks ago when I completed the signing of Agger and Petrov that Gillingham manager accused me of cheating because of the size of my squad and he thought I got people from the game world to buy players over the odds off me.
  20. Re: Swindon Town| EC 4064|Rise to Division 1 | Promotion to division 2 almost guaranteed as Swindon Town prepare for FA cup final against Liverpool Iniesta and Sneijder. 2 of Parker's list of superstars When Parker first took the job around six months ago, everybody thought he was never going to fulfill the promises he made. He promised to take Swindon Town into the premiership into three consecutive seasons. He promised a team full of superstars and this is exactly what he has done in the short time he's been at the helm. Not quite. He also promised a cup/ shield within 2 seasons and he has the opportunity to do that in tomorrow's game against division 1 giant Liverpool. A team close to Parker's heart. A team he supported growing up. But the main question remains. Can he achieve the goals he set out at the begging of his reign 2 seasons ago. The answers will be revealved tomorrow night. The team has come so far since Parker has been in charge. Two seasons ago, Swindon Town used to watch the likes of Cuthbert and Greer at the back. Fast forward two seasons later and they've got the likes of Maicon, Chilieni and Sergio Ramos as part of their back four. In midfield, they've got the midfield to match any team in the country. The likes of Iniesta, Xabi Alonso and Wesley Sneijder shows the class that Parker has been attracting since taking charge of the club. Parker has admitted that he's frustrated with his strikers in Gilardino and Milito but says he can't get any beter strikers at the moment as most of the other managers are unwilling to sell their prized assets to Swindon Town. Bids of £70 million have been rejected from both Liverpool and Man Utd for Torres and Rooney respectively while a bid of £40 million + Gilardino and Milito was also rejected yesterday for Lionel Messi. Speaking at a press conference this morning, this was what he had to say about the two seasons he's been in charge
  21. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/Transfer Gossip Thread Last night victory against Barnsley was Aveldano's last Aveldano looking to rejoin his former club In an interview after last night's game against Barnsley, Parker has announced that Lucas Aveldano has played his last match into a Millwall's shirt before moving back to his old club Racing Club. He said that it was a hard decision for him to sell one of his most consistent players but believes the likes of Nounkeu and Coates will be able to fill in the gap left by the 24 year old Argentine. So there we have it a bid of around £4.8 million has been accepted and it looks like Aveldano will be going back home. The sale of Aveldano will see Millwall bag a £2 million profit considering they bought the player for a bargain of around 2.7 at the start of the season. So now questions will be raised about who is likely to replace him at the back. The main candidates who are likely to be fighting for the void left by Aveldano are Dany Nounkeu, Audreu Fontas or Seb Coates. Other questions that will be asked is what's going to happen with the money. As a result of all the questions surrounding this transfer, a sky reporter managed to catch up with Parker after their training session and these were the answers given by the man himself. So Hans. Aveldano has flown over to Racing for a medical and his deal is likely to be concluded by the end of the day. Do you have a replacement lined up or do you have enough depth to cope with his departure? Dany Nounkeu likely to play against Colchester From last week there were reports that the club have to sell players to keep the book balanced. What can you tell us about this? Last question before we let you leave. Antoine Griezmann had such a fantastc start to his career but he has been out for a long time. Is he likely to play any games this season? Griezmann celebrating his only goal since moving to Millwall
