  1. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Yes. Hammered Gozzy's charlton 4-0 thanks to a double from Dominguez and goals from Petrov and Vitale sealed the win. The victory came at a cost as Rivas is now injured. Anyway the win should move me a place or two up. Now only 1 point behind Chalton and I hope that I can build on this win and go on a successful run
  2. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Got Gozzy Charlton tonight. I really need to win this game if I want to make it into the top 2. A win tonight and I'm 1 point behind Charton but losing will see me 7 points which is a hell of a lot to make up considering Charton form of late. In transfer news Ive complete the signing of Lansbury, Matilla and Nounkeu for £10.7 million. Really delighted with those deals as Matilla and Lansbury are long term investment and Nounkeu will be sold after his rise.
  3. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Daniel Agger has been appointed captain by Parker Agger thanking the fans for turning up after the 2-0 victory against Forest. After last night two- nil victory over Nottingham Forest, Parker confirmed that Daniel Agger has been made captain for the Lions just a week into his Millwall career. This comes after the fact that former captain Lucas Aveldano has handed in a transfer request and will leave the club in the next couple of days as soon as his transfer ban runs out. Aveldano has been a revelation since his £2.7 move from Racing in the early part of the season. The big centre back has been in impresive form scoring 3 goals as well as chipping in with 4 assists. The news that Aveldano has handed in a transfer request will surprise most Millwall fans as they were a huge admirer of the 24 year old Argentine. Aveldano is likely to play the next two crucial games against Charlton Athletic and Norwich before being sold back to his native Argentina. This was the statement released on Millwall's offical website According to reports a fee of around £5 million has already been agreed between Millwall and Racing and it is up to Parker to decide when to cash in on the centre back. This will give Millwall a profit of around £3 million and reports suggest that the money will not be spent instead will help pay the huge wage bills that Millwall currently have. Aveldano likely to leave soon After hearing those news, Paker was quick to appoint a new captain and he believes that Daniel Agger will be best suited for the job. This raised a few eyebrows as Agger has only been here for a couple of days but Parker believes that it would have been too much of a responsibility to have given it to a younger player and feared that giving them the armband would have made their performance levels to go down. This was what the manager had to say on the appointment of Agger as captain After the appointment we managed to get a quick word with the man himself and he says that he is relishing the challenge and think that the team are too good to be in this division. Agger on being named the new captain In other news Parker has confirmed that the team has loaned out 3 youngsters with hope that they come back with more experience. Bertoglio, Drocco and Mazzarini have been loaned out and Parker will be hoping that these 3 impress at their respective club and believes that we'll be seeing them back in a Millwall shirt last season. Bertoglio looking to impress at Bury

  5. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread disapointed to the defeat to leeds but need to try and get a result in my next match to keep my automatic play-off place alive.

  8. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Im in division 3 and I currently have £24 million to spend Need a goalkeeper 2 midfielders 1 defender and a striker and I'll be sorted for the season. Hoping to get my average rating up to about (84/85 soon)
  9. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Nelson Rivas completes his £2.5 million move from Inter to Millwall. Rivas signed a 4 year contract with the Lion's Millwall Fc today completed the signing of Nelson Rivas from Internazionale for a fee of £2.5 million. This signing will bring more experience to the team as well as bringing in a leader at the back. This signing shows the intent of Millwall FC and reports in today's newspaper suggest that more big named player are set to follow Rivas in the coming days. After the signature of the Colombian, we caught up with manager Hans Parker Hans does this signing show that teams in division 3 can atract good players? Can we expect to see Rivas feature at all tonight? What will he bring to the team that isn't already there? We also understand that you have sold some of your first team players to fund these moves. Do you believe that the players you have in mind will be able to fill in the boots of the likes of Andre Santos, Michel and Yakovlev.
  10. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Your team is really coming along nicely mate you are buying high rated players for quite a cheap price and if you decide to sell them you would be making quite a bit of money.
  11. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread sold- Macedo MICHEL has completed his move to Almería from Millwall for £6,840,000 -Hugo VENTURA has completed his move to Olhanense from Millwall for £3,150,600 Also accepted a bid around 2.5 million for Villanova but It says I would only be left with 1 goalkeeper That's around 10 million I've raised Looking to buy at least 2 players with that money and spend the rest on risers I was lucky that Juarez rose up to 83 as I was short on 80+ to play CB.
  12. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Playing Arsenal tonight at the Emirates Don't expect much from the game so I'm fielding a second string line up Now since the Tb are off, I'm willing to listen to any offers for my players.
  13. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread managed to beat Tiësto Derby 2-1 away from home Was expecting more to avoid defeat as he has some 87+ players while my highest is 85 The win keeps me in 4th position (3 goals from going 3rd). 2nd isn't out of reach. Only 2 points behind Norwich. Up next a home game against 11th place Southampton Quite confident of coming out with a win but you never know with the SM match engine.
  14. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Welcome to the second edition of Lion's Den. I'm your host Kelly Kelly and joining me in the studio today is our new loan signing Iker Muniain. Also in the studio with me are Ian Mc Garry from the sun and Henry Winter from the Telegraph. Kelly- Welcome to the show Iker. How much have you enjoyed life at Millwall since moving from Arsenal? Iker- Thanks a lot for the warm welcome. I have really enjoyed these last two days at Millwall. I think I've settled in quite quickly and I'm rearing to go whenever I'm picked. Kelly- Does Millwall Fc look more like a team for you. You had offers from other teams but you decided to come here? Iker- When looking at the teams who wanted me on loan, Millwall looked like the best destination as Millwall's players are of similar age and it would be easier to adapt. Kelly- I believe that Ian wants to ask you some question. Ian- So Iker there are a lot of expectation resting on your shoulders for both club and country in the next couple of years. Did you come to Millwall mainly to come to gain some experience or did you come here to get a permanent deal? Iker- Yes the expectation back in Spain are massive. I made my debut as a sixteen year old and since then, I've been labelled the Spanish Wayne Rooney. As far as asking me if I've come here to get a permanent deal then I have to say that the decision doesn't rest in my hands. If Arsenal want me back Ill return, if not I'll stay here if the gaffa still fancies me. Ian- Have you been frustrated by the lack of playing time you received at Arsenal. Iker- Of course. Everybody loves to play and I'm not different but I have to accept that Arsenal have some of the best players on the planet and I had to be patient. Ian- Last question. Do you still think moving from Spain to England was such a wise move considering how young you are? Iker- It was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make. When I was at Bilbao, I never dreamt that I would even be a first team player aged 16 but then all the big teams across europe came sniffing and when I got the offer from Arsenal, it was a dream come true to join one of the biggest team. I still remain optimistic that it was the right decision and I hope being at Millwall will get my career back on the right track. Iker Munniain described as the spanish wayne rooney Kelly- Thanks a lot for these questions Ian. I'll now read a couple fo Emails that we've been receiving throughout the day. John says; Iker do you think you could get us the goals that we've been craving for Iker- As long as the team wins then I'm sure that the manager will not be bothered about how much we score but it'll be nice if I could help the team get the goal difference a bit higher as it might prove crucial come the end of the season Liam say; Do you think you are a direct replacement for Antoine Griezmann? Iker- I hope so. He was on terific form and he will be sorely missed but I hope that I can fill in his boots for the rest of the season. Kelly- Ok thanks for the answers. Lets now move onto our next journalist. Henry Winter from the Telegraph. Muniain looking to fill boots of Griezmann who will be out for the rest of the season Henry- Thanks a lot Kelly. Iker the team currently find itself in the play-offs. Do you think that Millwalll Fc have the strenghts in depth to keep this up until the end of the season? Iker- To me the play-offs is a very respectable place to be in. We have done fantastically well so far and we need to start turning draws into wins if we want to catch the top tow. I think that the strenghts in depth is here nad we should be able to come with injuries. Henry- There were a lot of talk that Millwalll did show an interest in you before you signed for Arsenal. What do you know about that? Iker- I didn't actually know who I was being linked with. I had representatives talk to the interested teams and I was just concentrating on my football. My agent told me there were loands of teams interested and the following day I was told I'm moving to Arsenal. Henry- You might make your debut tonight. Excoted? Iker- Actually I can't wait to put on that blue shirt. If I start I'd do my best but there is a lot of competition at Millwall and it's a tough job the manager has to pick the team with such talented players at his disposal. Nicolas Lodeiro- one of the best performers so far with 7 goals and 4 assists in 10 games Kelly- That's it for today. Thanks a lot for tuning in. I'm your host Kelly and I'll see you again here next week. Bye. Kelly Kelly closes the show
  15. Re: Primera División de Argentina I'm in the same setup as you and I don't expect you to help me but it will be a great help if you could tell me which of these Argentines are worth keeping hold of Facundo BERTOGLIO Ismael QUILEZ Claudio MOSCA Gustavo BOU Marcos ROJO Fernando GODOY Lucas TRECARICHI Gastón SAURO David Hernán DROCCO Pablo VERGARA Cristian GAITAN
  16. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Just done a report about getting Muniain on loan from Arsenal Thoughts
  17. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Iker Muniain completes his loan move from Arsenal to Millwall Today Millwall fans had more to cheer about as they managed to get cover in for Antoine Griezmann who is likely to be out for up to 9 weeks after injuring his shoulder. His replacement comes in the form of Spanish sensation Iker Muniain on a loan deal for the rest of the season with an option of another one. Parker has always been a huge admirer of the 17 year old but didn't have the cash to compete for his signature at the beginning of the season and is delighted to have signed the teenager on loan deal. This signing will be even more beneficial for Millwall as they lost another striker to injury in last night's disapointing draw against rock bottom Oldham Athletic. This was Parker's views on the signing of the 17 year old He was also really disapointed about last night's performance against Oldham but he has backed his team to bouce back against Huddersfield and produce a fantastic show for the fans Millwall currently find themselves joint 3rd on 29 points alongside Derby and Barnsley
  18. Re: The 4 region challenge If there is any space for either 5579 or 3951 count me in I would preferable like 5579
  19. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Won 4-1 against Norwich last night Very happy considering they've got a decent team That win moved me up to 4th just 1 point behind Barnsley in 3rd and only goal difference seperating me from Norwich.
  20. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Drew 1-1 with Brendford Decided to rest my key players for the upcoming match against Norwich Good news is that I avoided defeat but the bad news is that I've lost Griezmann to an arm injury for 9 weeks
  21. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Cheers Mate was a good game Hope you do well as well and push on for a play offs place
