  4. Re: Swindon Town| EC 4064|Rise to Division 1 | Haven't had much time to do match report lately but I will be picking it up again in the next couple of days. I have been promoted to division 3 and I'm currently not doing that bad. Top of the league after 15 games with 38 points. I'm also in the last 16 of the English cup. I will be playing Coventry next and I'm quite confident I wil progress through to the last 8. Last 16 of the English Shield as well. Got a home tie against Chelsea on the 1st of March. Will be tricky but I need to believe that I can wein. Since my last post my team has changed Dramatically. Loads of 94+. Managed to sign the likes of Casillas, Iniesta and Ramos Starting 11 (3-5-2) |Casillas| Maicon Ramos Chiellini Alonso Navas Sneijder Schweinsteiger Iniesta Gilardino Milito Bench : Lass, Tiago Silva, Perotti, Ranocchia, Schennikov At the moment I have a pretty strong starting 11 with an Average of 94 but I need to work on my strength in depth if I want to have a better squad. Currently have a squad of 105 players so should be making some quick cash off risers in the next couple of months and hopefully improve my team.
  5. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Just done my Match report from last night thoughts
  6. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Millwall held to another draw against ten men Wycombe Wanderers Wycombe Wanderers 2-2 Millwall Maykon 14 Krhin 16 Vergara 23 Green 57 Araújo Maykon scores a vital goal to deny Millwall the 3 points Millwall's misery continues as they were held to a 2-2 draw away to Wycombe Wanderers. The draw means that Millwall have only won once in their last 6 competive games. They have drawn 3 and lost 3 giving them a total of 7 points out of a possible 18 in the league. The press have been saying that the Millwall players aren't old enough to cope with the pressure being thrown at them but Paker thinks differently. The team fielded against Wycombe had an average age of 21 with the oldest player being loanee Fabrice Pancrate 29 with the rest of the team being under the age of 23 bar Lucas Aveldano. The game started tremendously well for Millwall with lots of possession and creating a couple of decent opening in the first ten minutes. Nicolas Lodeiro had a beatiful chance to put Millwall ahead but he rushed his shot which ended up being a comfortable save for the goalkeeper. Four minutes later against the run of play Wycombe found themselves one up. Great work from Pedro to find Maykon in space and the Brazilian lashed a shot from 25 yards and Krul could do nothing but stand there like a statue. The ball went flying past him in an instance and Maykon celebrated his goal running towards Pedro to thank him for the lay off. Millwall replied quickly with a goal from their own. Krhin the 500k signing from Inter Milan got his first goal in a Lion's shirt. Great one two between Krhin and Lodeiro had the defence split and Krhin slotted the ball past Mannone to the relief of the 2000 away fans that made the jorney. Millwall started to monopolise possessesion but didn't have the cutting edge needed to break the five men defence of Wycombe until the 23 minute. A long crossfield ball from Aveldano was chested down to Andre Santos on the right wing and the Portuguese put in a superb cross for Vergara to attack and the young Argentine wingback didn't disapoint. Millwall then decided to sit back on their one goal lead opting to invitie pressure from Wycombe and trying to hit them on the counter for the rest of the first half. Nicolas Lodeiro celebrates the equaliser with team mates At the start of the second half a frustrated Pedro got sent off for shouting abuse to the refree for not awarding a free kick in Wycombe's favour. Pedro got up from the challenge and chased the refree the full lenght of the pitch before spitting on the refree's face. The refree didn't think twice and the red card was out in a flash and Tom Field had to intervene to get Pedro off the park. Tackles started to fly in left right and centre and it reached boiling point. The refree took out another card minutes after the sending off. It was Riise who received the card for a lunge on Pancrate. The home fans moaned in agony and Scott Mathieson the refree was beginning to feel the presure. Tackles started flying in Pancrante had a chance to put some daylight between the two sides but the frenchman missed an easy sitter on the 55 minute. Millwall were then punished for not taking that glorious chance on the 57th minute when poor marking allowed Stuart Green a free header and the 28 year old didn't dissapoint from 6 yards out. Neither side created much after that goal with Wycombe opting to protect their point while Milllwall couldn't find a way past the five men defence of Wycombe. Both teams would consider it 2 points dropped instead of a point won as both teams slipped down the table with Wycombe moving from third to six while Millwall sliped a place into 10th five point behind the playoff places. Wycombe players celebrates their equaliser Post match interview Another draw, you must be getting sick of these results, aren't you ? You've only won 1 game in your last 6 competitive matches. Are you concerned? One of the main critisism from the press this week is that your players aren't old or mature enough to handle the pressure. What are your views on this? So can the fans expect any new signings in the next couple of days? Thanks a lot Hans.
  7. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Frustration all over Millwall players after a disapointing 3-3 draw The Millwall players dejected after failing to win another game Millwall's chances of getting promoted this season are starting to fade after another disapointing result against a very experienced but old Gillingham side. The final score ended up 3-3 but neither team done enough to deserve the three points and in the end a draw was a fair result. Both teams looked very shaky at the beginning of the game with Millwall opting to rest their 3 best players in Aveldano, Lodeiro and Krhin. Gillingham also went in the game resting key players such as Gary Speed and Luis Boa Morte. It was new boy Ariel Maxi Biancucci who grabbed all the headlines scoring 2 well taken goals on his debut to salvage a point for the visitors. Ariel Biancucci had Gillingham in dreamland when they took a shock lead on the 18th minute but two minutes later Millwall had hit back with a goal from Reyes. The 18 year old seized on his opportunity and had a strong debut in a Millwall shirt. From there on you would think that Millwall had the momentun and would go and win this game but this wasn't to be the case as on the half hour mark a swift counter attack had Gillingham in front. A poor cross from Mazzarani went straight into Niemi's hands and the keeper booted the ball up the field to find Mark Bentley in acers of space and the veteran cooly slotted the ball past Tim Krul. Paker on the touchline was furious with the amount of players that were committed in the attack which lead to them beind punished for not having enough players to cope with the situation. Capitain Michel ralied the team and Millwall started to play some free flowing football which lead to them equalising just a minute before the break. A sequence of 32 passes had played Mazzarini through and the Italian smashed the ball in the back of the net. Even though Niemi got a glove on the ball, it wasn't enough to keep the ball out. Mazzarini's spectacular voley to get Millwall level minutes before the break The Millwall players came out the second half with their confidence sky high after the break and the continued where the left off and it wasn't long until they took the lead. Sloply defending from Gillingham and they were punished. King gave the ball rather cheaply to Joselu and the spaniard finished it with ease dumming the keeper before walking the ball in the back of the net. After takking the lead you would think Millwall would opt to protect the lead but in contrary they kept pushing for a killer fourth and another counter attack done them again. The master of counter attacking Biancucci levelled the game on the 56th minute with a superb piece of individual skill to beat Krul. Both teams went for the win after this but they were both denied as both keepers stood firm to keep the scores level. Biancucci's killer on the 56 minute to bring his team back on level terms After the game we caught up with parker and this was his take on the game "Another disapointing result Hans, is it a point won or a point loss?" "It's abviously a point loss as we were aiming to get the three points on offere tonight but the defending from my team was atrocious tonight. We have to work on our defending if we want to get the promotion we are craving for." "So how do you come back from this now?" "Work on the training ground and hopefully improve our defending" "You take on a very strong Wycombe side with players like Pedro in their ranks, how do you see your chances in that game"? "We have to believe we can go and win as if we go in with a negative mentality the outcome wont be a good one." "Thanks a lot Hans" "Cheers"
  8. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Millwall Fc vs Gillingham Match Preview Division 3 Vs This game is expected to be a cracking game between two teams at different ends of the table. Both teams have had very disapointing starts to their seasons with Millwall having a bad run at the moment winning only one of their last 5 games. Their records is as follow 4 wins, 3 loses and a draw while on the other hand Gillingham have only won 2 games all season, drawing 1 and losing 3. Millwall boss Hans Parker is expected to make a host of changes from the team that lost against Colchester on Saturday night. It is also believed that he is set to drop his 4-5-1 formation for a more attacking approach tonight. Sebastian Coates, Lorenzo Reyes, Antoine Griezmann and Ezequiel Matías Schelotto are all set to make their league debut tonight. Nicolas Lodeiro, Rene Krhin and Lucas Avelldano are set to be rested due to a lack of match fitness. Gillingham are likely to field the same team that lost against Brendford which means that experienced players like Gary Speed, Antii Niemi, Luis Boa Morte,Chris Powell and Andy Crosby are all set to play. Their average age for last weekend game was a staggering 32 while Millwall's was 21 years old. We managed to catch up with Parker at his news match conference and this was what he had to say He also revealed that he was planning on making changes So what do you expect from the game tonight There you have it folks the Millwall boss expects nothing less than a win from his youthful side tonight and he will be hoping results go his way so that he can close the gap on second place Norwich.
  9. Re: English Championship 3951 Disscusion thread only lost 1 in my last 13 games took the team when they were struggling to stay up in division 3 and now i'm in the playoffs. Hopefully I can catch the team in second
  10. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Interview with Parker after 3 weeks in charge After 3 weeks in charge of Millwall Fc, the sky cameras managed to sit down with Hans Parker and ask him a couple of question about his team, how he's enjoying being the manager of Millwall Fc and what are his long term goals with the team???? So Hans welcome to your first interview since taking charge of Millwall Fc. How does it feel to manage the club? Thanks for the warm welcome. It's a great honour for me to manage Millwall as I believe it's a great club with lots of ambition. The chairman is very nice guy and he's doing everything possible for us to succeed in this league. When you first took over fans didn't know what to expect from you. Now 3 weeks into the job, you find yourself just outside the playoff place. Is this the sort of start you were looking for? To be honest, I didn't expect us to be where we are at the moment. I thought we would be around mid table as new signings take time to settle but the lads seemed to have settled in quite quickly. Speaking about signings, you sold your entire squad and this raised a couple of eyebrows. But now you seemed like you've got one of the best squad in the division. What was your idea behind all this? That was the problem when I first arrived we didn't have the strenght in depth to compete on all fronts but now I truly believe we've got a squad who could beat any team in our division. I wanted to keep a couple of players but I was told I needed to sell to bring my vision to the team. Your team has a total of 70 players including 3 loan signings. How are you going to cope with the wages as figures show that you are currently playing £1.8 millon every turn? I don't think it's as bad as people think. We are not making a loss. In fact we are more than breaking even. Every week (2 games) we are making a total of £1 million profit which I think is very good condering other team in our division have been buying big players and playing huge wage bills. This is not what we are looking to do in the first few months. Building a strong capable team is our aim. Earlier on you spoke about a vision. What exactly is your vision in seasons to come? Well we'll take it one step at the time. My first objective was to build a squad with depth. You can tick that box. Next it's to get as close to the playoffs or even better if possible. I don't want to put pressure on the players as our target was to achieve a midtable finish. Realistically what is your target this season? Again I'll repeat what I said getting as close to the top 6 is my aim. Anything better will be an achievement. Last and final question, You hired Kelly Kelly from wwe for your modelling department. How is it going at the moment? She's fantastic. I keep in touch with her everyday and it's a pleasure working with her. Our sales figure have increased since she joined the team and it's something that we are looking to maintain over the coming years. She also does the show Lion's Den which has been a big hit with the Millwall fans. This is another place, we've been recieving our incomes Thanks a lot Hans. Good luck for the season Cheers mate

Gastón Sauro 90 (75)- Isn't expected to start many games, the Argentine is another player who snubbed moves to other teams in favour of Millwall. Zheng Lang 94 (72)- Sources suggest Parker bought the player only to make a profit. Time will tell whether he's a player with a future at the club. Midfielders Lucas Trecarichi 37 (75)- Expected to feature in cup game and will be a vital player in the future. Felipe Andre Santos 6 (82)- Parker's best bargain so far. Bought for 600k, the young Portuguese has already become one of the most vital player for the Lion's Ezequiel Matías Schelotto 17 (82)- Hasn't featured yet but great things are expected from the Argentinian born Italian. Hans Salinas 19 (78)- The young Chilian has just been bought and is expected to battle with Hector and Godoy for the DM spot Fernando Godoy 36 (76)- Signed 2 weeks ago and has had a couple of decent performance. Yuste Cantón Hector 24 (76)- Was first choice DM but since the arival of Godoy and Silinas, his chances of getting in the team are very slim. Roberto Juarez 42 (75)- Another player who has played very little and is likely to be sold for a profit in the future. Lior Etter 99 (74)- A DM with loads of talents. It's believed Parker has brought him in with an eye in the future. 14. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Anybody wants a friendly against my Millwall team tonight
  15. Re: Ezequiel Matías Schelotto +6/7 riser Rose to 82 today Keep hold of him if he's in your team Should rise more next time
  16. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Beat Chalton 3-2 away from home. Really happy with the result. That win moved me up to 7th in the league with 9 points. Lodeiro scored another goal. That's 3 in 2 for the young uruguain starlet. Got Boro in the cup on monday. I'm going to play a completely different team from the one that won against charlton. I don't really care about cup competition this season. Don't really expect to get anything from the game but you never know. Its a cup competition and I'm playing at home.
  17. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Mate you had your bid for Lodeiro accepted then you cancelled it. Why did you cancel it for.
  18. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Knackered after the post onto the m/r thread Took me about an hour to do don't know if people will like it but at least its something different.
  19. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Millwall Fc have announced a new show on their website called You must be wondering what kind of a show it is. Well the answer is it's an interactive show where fans get involved by asking questions to a particular player each week. The fans are also joined by two journalists who also asks questions to write in their respective newspaper. The presenter for the show will be former wrestler Kelly Kelly, a women who will also act as a model for the team to help generate sales in the women department. Parker believes that the show will help increase the revenue for the teaa, aswell as letting the fans get to know the player a little bit better. So without further adieu let's get this show on the road. Kelly kelly will be the host of the show and model for the women department Hi I'm Kelly Kelly and I welcome you all to the first show of "Lion's Den". Here in the studio with me today are Steven Howard from the Sun, Jim white from the Telegraph and the star of the show Nicolas Lodeiro. Kelly-"Welcome all guys. So Nicolas how do you feel about being the first person on the show" Nicolas-" I'm really excited but I'm also really nervous as I don't have a clue what's going to happen today." Kelly- " Alright Nicolas, Lets start with Jim White from the Telegraph Jim-" Welcome to England Nicolas. How have you found it settling down in the few days you've been here" Nicolas-"I don't think it's been that bad as everybody at here has been very helpful to me and I've found it quite easy settling down." Jim- "Back in Uruguay, you were dubbed the new Messi. How do you feel about that." Nicolas- "It's flattering being dubbed the new Messi but I believe that I'm a completely different player from him. For starter he plays on the right and I'm on the left and also my main attributes is taking shots from outside the box while his is running past players" Jim-"You are set to make your debut against Nottingham Forest. How do you feel about that?" Nicolas-"I'm obviously really excited and I can't wait to show the fans what I'm capable of but I hope the fans stay calm and give me time to adapt as the league here in England is completely different from the league back home" Lodeiro dubbed the new messi Kelly- Thanks for the questions Jim. I'll now read a couple of E-mails that we've been recieving throughout the day. James from London says "Hi Nicolas, wishing you all the best tonight" Aaron from Southamton says "Nicolas can't wait to see you in action. You look class in the videos I've seen on youtube." Your take on this Nicolas Nicolas-"It's great to know that people are looking forwards to seeing me on the pitch and I promise I'll do my best not to disapoint." Kelly-"Thanks Nicolas Let's move onto our next journalist Steven Howard from the Sun Steven-"Thanks Kelly. So Nicolas you've met you teammates. Who has impressed you the mort" Nicolas-"It's such a talented group of players the gaffa has put together here and it's such a tough call but if I were to chose somebody it would be Antoine Griezmann just because of the skills the boy possesses." Steven- "Speaking about the gaffa, How is he at handling the players at training." Nicolas-"He is fantastic. He is such a joy to work with during training. He does everything that he can to make the training sessions as pleasurable as possible and the guys all adore him. His methods during training are unique and it's a breath of fresh air." Steven- " Last and final question Nicolas. We heard you declined Barcelona and Ajax to join Millwall. What was the thinking behind that." Nicolas-"offt it's been such a crazy transfer wimdon for me this year. First I agreed terms to join an unnamed english club then they pulled out of it then Barca and Ajax made enquiries but nothing matured. Millwall stepped in with a £6 million offer and I have no regrets in joining this adventurous team." Antoine Griezmann most talented player according to lodeiro Kelly- Just before we finish let me read a couple more of the E-mails that have been flooding in this evening. Mick from Surrey says- "The world cup is just around the corner. Do you believe you'll be on the plane to South Africa." The other E-mail is from Ian from Weymouth "Nicolas I have been following you since you were young and I can't wait to see you rip the english leagues apart but my question is how are you handling being Millwall's biggest buy." Nicolas- "Firstly I would hope that I'm on the plane to south africa during the summer but I don't take anything from granted and I believe that if you want something you have to work for it and that's exactly what I'm going to do" "In response to being the biggest buy in Millwall's history I just want to say that I'm handling the pressure quite well but it's going to be very scary as people will be expecting big things from me." Big things are expected from the 20 year old Kelly- "That's it for this week. I hope you have enjoyed the show and I'll see you again here next week with another Millwall player.

  21. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Millwall to complete the signing of the "Uruguain Messi" Nicolas Lodeiro Millwall FC have comfirmed that they are in talks with Nicolas Lodeiro about the possibilty of signing for the club. Reports suggest that the player will undergo a medical tonight and watch his team-mates in action against Leeds. The highly rated younster has been dubbed the new Messi by the press and rumours have been spreading that he rejected the chance to join Barca because of the world cup coming up. The fee is believed to be in the region of £6.4 million. Millwall managed to beat off competition from Peterborough United and Watford but Watford denied making a bid for the player as they were only watching his progress. The fee will raise eyebrows as it's very unusual to see a division 3 side buy a player over £1 million yet Parker has backed his decision of splashing the cash for Lodeiro. "I don't care if I get battered by the press for paying £6.5 for Lodeiro as it will pay off as it has done with Michel. I believe he'll be a great player in the future and I urge the fans to give him time to settle down. He's got a low centre of gravity, keeps the ball well and can take on players. " Reports also suggest that Parker is looking to add a couple more players to his squad with a left back and a defensive mid his main priorities.
  22. Re: English Championship 5579 -Match Report/transfer Gossip Thread Millwall Fc manage to grap 3-2 victory on the road against a very good Southend side Division 3 match (Turn 23) Wednesday 20th January Venue: Roots Hall Capacity:12,306 Attendance:9,579 Referee: Alberto Undiano Mallenco 2-3 Carlao (22) Quilez (28) Pancrate (43) Carlao (75) Barron (87) Fabrice Prancante after giving Millwall the lead at the break Millwall Fc managed to put the disapointment oof losing their first game behind their backs to come out and grab the 3 points on offer against Romano Valente's Southend side. Parker's side were very poor and created very little but they still managed to sneak a late winner thanks to loanee Fabrice Prancante. Southend being the home side started the game tremendously well and they could have been rewarded minutes in the game but Barrett couldn't keep his shot down after a lovely one-two with Marcone. Millwall got into the game and Andre Santos saw his 35 yarder tipped out of play a minute later. The game started to open up a bit more and gaps started to appear for both teams to take advantage and it Southend who took the lead. A lovely chip from Carlao left Ventura rooted to the spot and all the young Portuguese could do was pick the ball from the back of the net. 6 minutes later Millwall replied with a goal of their own when Quilez finished from inside the box and it was game on again. Prancante started to show his class and 2 minutes before the interval the frenchman scored on his debut for Millwall. A cooly finished goal passed into the left corner of the goal. Millwall took the lead going in at the break but they knew they were going to have to work hard in the second half if the were to keep Southend at bay. After the 15 minutes that the players had in the company of their manager's, both teams came out the second half with the same motivation. The game started the same way as the first finished. Millwall dominating the possession without and chances while Southend had very little of the ball yet created more chances. Carlao then showed his talents again when he got his team level with 25 minutes remaining on the clock and the near 10,000 fans in the stadium started to roar their team to the 3 points and the players started to show the passion that every supporter likes to see. Young Spannish wizard Canales then hit the crossbar on the 80th minute but there seemed like Southend were'nt going to get the 3 points they deserved. On the contrary Millwall punished them on the counter attack with Andre Santos's crossfield pass finding Barron in achers of space and he got past the defenders and slotted it home to send the away fans crazy. Millwall hanaged onto the lead and Parker hopes that when the next match comes along he'll have a completely new players to chose from.
