  1. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread So any word if Torres will start tonight? Just get the feeling Carlo may hold him back and unleash him after 60 odd mins or so. Crucial we get the three pts and make the most of Arsenal/Man Utd slip ups over night. Cech Ivanovic - JT - Luiz - Cole Ramires - Essien - Lampard Anelka Torres - Drogba C'mon lads... get the job done!!
  2. Re: Official Cricket Thread Great knock from Voges, making the most of this opportunity. Good to see D Huss amongst the runs and a nice little cameo from Johnson at the end. And as I post this the 'wild thing' knocks over Strauss!!
  3. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Get innnnn... great win. Anelka easily had one of his best games in a long, long time... fantastic performance. Kalou caused the Black Cats defence all sorts of problems, was easily one of our best. Lamps is slowing starting to look in decent touch. Job well done lads. Bring on Pool... over to you El Nino!!
  4. Re: Matty G's Graphics Legend, thanks mate!!
  5. Re: Matty G's Graphics Would love a Torres avatar please, using the following pic if possible? http://twitpic.com/3valdt
  6. Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread TORRESSSSS!! The perfect deadline day... to sign a world class player in Torres and a top defender in David Luiz is just fantastic. I honestly didn't think the Torres deal would happen, brilliant stuff from all involved for getting it done. As for Luiz awesome signing, one we really needed. Thanks Roman!!
  7. Re: Official A-League Thread How good have Brisbane been performing this season!?! I really hope they win the title, they've easily been the best side all season and they just look a class above the rest of the league at the moment. I reckon Melbourne Victory could be the one team who could seriously challenge them. Possibly the Gold Coast depending on how Smeltz performs and obviously Culina when he returns from the Asian Cup.
  8. Re: Official Tennis Thread Oz Open gets underway tomorrow, best tournament of the year for mine. Can't wait should be two quality weeks of Tennis as always. Question marks over Nadal's fitness and imo that's the only thing preventing him from winning the 'Rafa Slam'. It's tough to see anyone beating him over five sets considering just how good he's been these past 6-12 months. Hewitt to do Australia proud!! HUGE first round match against Nalbandian, those two sure do have plenty of history. Should be a great match, good luck Lleyton.
  9. Re: Official Cricket Thread Haven't been on here for a while, so congrats to the Poms on retaining the Ashes + winning the series. You guys totally outplayed us (apart from Perth). Just an all round brilliant performance from England, well done. Team for today is: Australia: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Brad Haddin (wk), 3 Michael Clarke, 4 Cameron White, 5 David Hussey, 6 Michael Hussey, 7 Steven Smith, 8 Brett Lee, 9 Xavier Doherty, 10 Doug Bollinger, 11 Shaun Tait Massive game today with the likes of D Huss, Lee, Taity and X all playing for WC spots. Our bowlers really need to fire against the in form Pommy batsman, hopefully we bat first and post a decent total. Up the Aussies!!
  10. Hey guys, recently I've been struggling to get results against the 4-4-2 diamond formation. Tactics I usually come up against: Tackling Style: Normal Mentality: Normal Passing Style: Mixed Attacking Style: Mixed Tempo: Normal Pressing: Own Half Counter-Attack: No Men Behind Ball: No Tight Marking: No Play Offside: No Use Play Maker: No Use Target Man: No Just wondering if anyone has had any success against this formation and if so what is the best formation/tactics to use?
  11. Hey guys, I've been playing SM for quite some time now, although lately I've been struggling to beat teams who play with the 4-3-3 (Wingers) formation... I'm just wondering has anyone had any success against this formation and what formation/tactics did you use etc...? Cheers.
  12. Re: Official A-League Thread Round 2 - Results: WELLINGTON 3 - 3 GOLD COAST NEWCASTLE 1 - 1 HEART NORTH QLD 2 - 1 SYDNEY VICTORY 0 - 2 PERTH MARINERS v ADELAIDE Two massive upsets, NQF defeating the defending champions and Perth Glory having a solid win over the Victory in Melbourne.
  13. Which team will be crowned champions this season? Which club will win the wooden spoon? How well will the new Melbourne Heart club perform in their debut season? Who will be named player of the season? Which player will prove to be the best signing and which youngster will set the league alight? Post all things A-League in here. Bring it on!!
  14. Re: Official FIFA World Cup 2010 Discussions Thread Really enjoyable match. It didn't have the goals we all wanted, but it did have a bit of everything. Congrats to Spain, deserving champions. Credit to them for bouncing back after the loss to Switzerland. They didn't score as many goals as most would have hoped for, but they're a joy to watch. Shame about Torres' injury, looked quite bad. I guess we shall know more in the coming days. As for the Dutch, so close yet so far... Overall though it's been a fantastic World Cup for them and they can take plenty away from this tournament going forward. On another topic, does this mean it's an 100% record for Paul haha?
