  1. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Stoke get off to a promising start to the season edging Swansea 3-2. After going 3-0 up due to a fantastic hat trick by Tevez, who also was awarded MOM, the Swans pulled two goals back to set up a nervy last 15. Still a win is a win and Stoke edge the possession statistic which is pleasing. Next task is Manchester City, even though this away from the fortress Britannia, there is hope due to their defeat to Sunderland.
  2. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Stoke net 8 in another good preseason win which has only seen many wins and a draw. With all these teams being in lower division there is really no way of telling what being up against stronger opposition will bring. For the latest transfer news, Dodo has joined from Roma, with many young Brazilians not making the cut in top European leagues only time will tell if he ever be a starter but he is getting minutes so hopeful of a small rise. Looking forward to the Season opener against Swansea.
  3. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Stoke finish their transfer activity with 4 more signings. The latest players to join the potters are Uchida, Dodo, Albiol and Texieria with the later providing some attacking flair through the center of the pitch. After banging in 9 albeit against lower division team again there is increased optimism around the Britannia and now Looking forward to the first game of the season against Swansea.
  4. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Stoke have been very busy in the transfer market - not sure if it has been successful or not, only time will tell. The names that have been brought in are Carvalho, Rodrigo, Son, Tevez, Veltman, Propper, Poli, Desto, Khedira, Nagatoma, Susaeta, K.Hazard. All players under 75 are available for loan and were only bought to make up the numbers during this initial transfer period. Stoke are still in the search of players to complete the managers optimal 22 man squad for the start of the season.
  5. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Stoke have reinforced their midfield with a the signing of Khedira with this their marquee signing, it looks like Stoke will be playing a defensive game in this coming season. Stoke only want a 22 man squad for the season so expect opportunities to grab some players on loan. Not that are many to grab, nor are they good for the majority of teams.
  6. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Started the friendlies with a 6-0 win at home to Hartlepool with Crouchy getting MOM. With the start of the season an age away it is likely that many faces will leave the Britannia! However, the punt, head and run game will continue. Also, Traore comes in from Chelsea on loan to provide backup on the cheap to what will be a small squad.
  7. Re: -=:English Championship 29673:=- Just saying, Stoke will not be getting relegated! Also Will, might take you up on some of those lovely Chelsea players. Hopefully the GW will fill up.
  8. Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread Just taken over as Fulham Manager after a short spell with Crewe. Exciting times , this being the first time I've manage a team in the higher divisions of these leagues. Moutinho can leave for Part Exchange for players in similar position.
  9. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Hi all, recently taken over Southend and happy to be in this competitive GW. Although the Southend Team is fairly good the players are not too my liking so looking to make some changes before the new season which will hopefully propel the the team to promotion after narrowly missing out last season. Some areas that I would like to improve are CF and WING so if anyone has players that are 88+ that they no longer need/want, get in touch! For departures sadly Veron is retiring but players allowed to leave are Devaux, Prodl, Cicero, Miku, Muriel

  11. Re: ★The High Rollers League - An EC★ They must have all been from 25 yards, my defence don't allow anything else Happy with the 3-1 win which was even more of a surprise after Holness sending off in the 26minute. Clinical finishing and a greater share of the possession, with the lack of resources and starting late in the game world I'm very happy with this result and expect a long hard season ahead with all focus geared towards the league. (Don't want to be finishing bottom) Now onto a tougher challenge of Leyton Orient!
  12. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Walsall are back on track for a play-off spot with a nervy 3-2 win over Grimsby where we saw most off the ball yet rarely tested the oppositions keeper. New arrival Barrientos grabbed a brace after the the ever reliable Kalanic nodded home a cross early in the game. With 9 games to go another 3 wins should secure a chance at promotion through the play-offs. A huge improvement from 16th last season. On another note very happy to landed Duff, Lazzari and John. The later my record signing since joining Walsall at 8m, I feel it is a risk for a 19
