  1. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Hi all, recently taken over Southend and happy to be in this competitive GW. Although the Southend Team is fairly good the players are not too my liking so looking to make some changes before the new season which will hopefully propel the the team to promotion after narrowly missing out last season. Some areas that I would like to improve are CF and WING so if anyone has players that are 88+ that they no longer need/want, get in touch! For departures sadly Veron is retiring but players allowed to leave are Devaux, Prodl, Cicero, Miku, Muriel
  2. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Walsall are back on track for a play-off spot with a nervy 3-2 win over Grimsby where we saw most off the ball yet rarely tested the oppositions keeper. New arrival Barrientos grabbed a brace after the the ever reliable Kalanic nodded home a cross early in the game. With 9 games to go another 3 wins should secure a chance at promotion through the play-offs. A huge improvement from 16th last season. On another note very happy to landed Duff, Lazzari and John. The later my record signing since joining Walsall at 8m, I feel it is a risk for a 19
  3. Re: English Championship 7777 - Discussion Thread Just been advised this was one of the better EC though 106 has it for me, Anyway sorry guys took over Exeter but then I decided I should work at the bottom, so Histon it is. Can't wait for the challenge to begin with more emphasis on next season rather than the four games left this.
  4. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread This is twice this season that a player has been loaned to me and then used in another deal by the parent club. Can't people honour their loan deals as now poor Walsall are without their star player. I wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't hours before a game. On that note has anyone able to loan a 87/88 Winger, Guaranteed to start all games. Thanks
  5. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread If anyone knows of a good manager who likes a challenge then can you point them in the direction of Rochdale. I feel a little guilty leaving them as I have sold their better players but whoever takes charge will have a budget of 30+ Million and if their plans are similar to what mine were they would be able to get a stable team better than previous. Again I want to reiterate it is a fantastic challenge and hope someone does restore Rochdale to a respectable team. Now with Fulham, haven't looked at the team yet due to the sadness of leavin
  6. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread Looks like this guy is annoying everyone at the moment even small club Rochdale going back on his word for some loan deals
  7. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Hopefully I will be able to keep my chairman happy if I don't then things won't have gone well. This season your Chairman expects you to avoid finishing bottom of the league. Also does anyone have any 89+ which I could loan. Need a star for my team.
  8. Re: Squad Sizes When it comes to renewing my gold membership I'd be more inclined to if there was a cap. What's the point of having all those players unless you are going to play the game for 4-5 years for them to develop. Plus it is more realistic which makes it more fun. There will be a sense of challenge then introduced to the game as managers will have to choose their brightest prospects. All those who say they will leave are those who who want the easy manager experience.
  9. Re: English Championship 106 - Discussion Thread Just thought I'd pop in to say hello, just taken over Walsall What a team they are going to be. If anyone is interested - LUCCHINI, Stefano - is for sale for cash. Looking for a quick deal. Also Donati and DESSENA, Daniele may be sold if the right CASH offer comes in. First Championship like this so going to be interesting for me. Looking forward to the new season.
