  1. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread 2 out of 3 ain't bad... GC14: Werder lose 2-1 to Stuttgart and are out of the German Cup at the semi final stage. GC 71: Juventus beat Atalanta 2-0 and will play Udinese in the Italian Cup final. GC 72: Roma beat Cagliari 5-1 and progress to the final of the Italian Cup where we'll face Juventus.
  2. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Yeah that's right, all gang up on Barca - you'll regret it next season

  4. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Just got Man City in 126, probably could have got a better team but City are one of the ones I havent got. All players available
  5. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread A good night for me. 3 defeats isn't great but bearing in mind 2 of them came in setups where I'd already won the league and was playing my second team, it's a good set of results on the whole. Also had 4 league wins added to the trophy cabinet (GC's 13,14,71 & 72), taking my total up to 80. Played 18 Won 13 Drew 2 Lost 3 GC 8: Real Madrid 3-1 Polideportivo Ejido - After 10 games we’re in 4th place, 2 points off early leaders Getafe. GC 13: Tottenham Hotspur 1-3 Arsenal - Had already won the league but always nice to win the derby games. Really pleased to win the league as I’ve been nowhere near it in the two previous seasons. GC 14: Werder Bremen 2-0 FC Augsburg - We win the league with 90 points, 7 better than runners up Kaiserslautern. Now to Friday’s German cup semi final against Stuttgart who we have drawn against in the 3 meetings this season. If we win the cup, it will complete a domestic treble of the league, cup and shield. GC 17: Barcelona 1-1 Villarreal - 12 games played, top by 8 points. GC 18: Milan 2-2 Bari - Drawn both league games so far despite dominating both. Not a good start to the season. GC 25: Benfica 0-1 Naval - Poor result, not that it matters really. Was already in the second half of the season when I took over and we’re too far behind Porto to catch up. GC 26: Zenit 6-0 Dnipro - After 20 games, we’re 5 points clear of title rivals CSKA Moscow. GC 27: Manchester United 3-1 Liverpool - One of the best results of the night for me as a loss would have given us a huge mountain to climb in terms of winning the league. We stay 3rd but now just 2 points off the leaders. GC 29: Boca Juniors 2-0 Estudiantes - Fabregas with a debut goal and Benayoun with the other. This win takes us above Estudiantes into 1st place and they drop to 2nd, 20 games played. GC 55: Eintracht Frankfurt 0-3 Bayern Munich - On a good run of results and finally Hertha have lost a game, meaning we overtake them into 1st position. 3 points clear, 14 games remaining. GC 65: Valencia 0-4 Sevilla - Almost half the season gone (18 games) and we’ve still only dropped 2 points, and have a 13 point lead over 2nd place Real Madrid. GC 66: Nacional da Madeira 0-6 Porto - Played 16 games and top by 9 points. GC 71: Udinese 2-0 Juventus - End up winning the league by 4 points, played second team tonight to rest first XI for the cup semi final on Friday. GC 72: Roma 0-1 Napoli - Roma end the title-winning season with a defeat. Again, it was my 2nd team playing due to the Italian Cup semi final on Friday. Could still do the treble if we win the cup. GC 74: Chelsea 3-2 Fulham - Took a risk by playing my 1st team in a SMFA Cup game on Monday so pleased my second string did the job tonight. A late winner from Daniel Carrico sealed the win that keeps us top of the league. The night is made better by Arsenal losing, meaning we stretch our lead in 1st place to 7 points. 4 games remaining. GC 88: Birmingham City 1-3 Liverpool - Higuain (2) and Carragher on target, 14 games played and we sit 2nd, two points behind Chelsea. GC 105: Lazio 0-5 Bari - Great win, Kacar, Lacina Traore and Neymar (3) with the goals. And the three points take us above Lazio, jumping from 8th to 6th, level on points with 5th place Roma. GC 116: Palermo 1-2 Inter Milan - 18 games played, 4 points clear at the top.

  7. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread GC29: Boca Juniors sell Lionel Messi for £10M + Cesc Fabregas + Robin Van Persie. The second part of the deal sees me buy Jack Wilshere for £13M. This was easily the best deal I was offered so I'm quite pleased with it. Also looking to do deals in every GC, so make a bid on anyone in the following gameworlds: GC 8 - Real Madrid GC 13 - Arsenal GC 14 - Werder Bremen GC 17 - Barcelona GC 18 - Milan GC 25 - Benfica GC 26 - Zenit GC 27 - Manchester United GC 29 - Boca Juniors GC 55 - Bayern Munich GC 65 - Sevilla GC 66 - Porto GC 70 - Barcelona GC 74 - Chelsea GC 88 - Liverpool GC 105 - Bari GC 116 - Internazionale GC 125 - Lyon
  8. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Decent night, best result coming in GC74. GC 8: Real Madrid beat Rangers 2-1 with goals coming from Azpilicueta and Agbonlahor. We currently sit 3rd in the group after 3 games as we look to make it 3 SMFA Cups in a row. GC18: Milan draw 3-3 with Lyon in what was a fair result, both get a point in the first group game. GC 65: Sevilla only mange a 1-1 draw with Club America despite hammering them on the stats. We now need a point in the last group game against Rangers to secure our place in the knockout stages. GC 74: Chelsea come back from a 3-2 first leg defeat to beat Marseille 3-0 tonight. Played my first team for the first time in the SMFA Cup and it paid off. The 5-3 aggregate win takes us through to the semis where a very good Real Madrid await. Would be great to retain both the league and the SMFA Cup but need to end the season strongly. GC 88: Liverpool beat Stuttgart 3-1 and top the SMFA group with 9 points after 4 games. GC 116: Inter Milan beat Arsenal 2-0 with Pedro getting both goals, but the result is irrelevant because we have already failed to qualify for the knockouts with a dismal group campaign.
  9. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread GC125: The Hazard/Gervinho - Bastos deal is back on. So far I've agreed: Hazard & Gervinho - Michel Bastos & Jeremy Pied Neymar & Ganso - Cesar Delgado & Frederic Piquionne A bit nervous about that one though as Ganso has 5 bids on him, just hoping the Santos manager sticks to his word. Got a few other PMs on the go but nothing concrete. Lisandro, Toulalan and everyone else still available.
  10. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Well it cant be a mistake on his part then because we agreed that deal very early when the gameworld opened. Yeah I have done, just hoping he comes online before the deal goes through.
  11. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread
  12. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Yeah I will do if the other deal goes through - hopefully he just forgot.
  13. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread I'll be having words with the Lille manager then, hes promised me Gervinho for cash after the first deal goes through.
  14. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Haven't had the best of nights results-wise but did manage to wrap up two leagues in GC14 with Werder Bremen & in GC72 with Roma. Both those two and the league wins with Arsenal (13) and Juventus (71) will be added to the trophy cabinet on Wednesday
  15. Re: English Championship 5579 - Discussion Thread 45% Possession 55% 10 Shots 14 6 On Target 9 Chelsea 6-1 Birmingham
  16. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Logged on one minute after it was made and got Lyon - been waiting for a Lyon for ages.
  17. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread Good night on the whole. Get to add one league win to the trophy cabinet in GC70, have two definitely going to be added a week today in GC's 13 & 71, and will hopefully be able to add GC14 and GC72 in a week too. Played 18 Won 14 Drew 0 Lost 4 GC 8: Real Madrid 5-1 Levante - 8 games played, and we’re disappointingly 7th. GC 13: Sheffield Wednesday 3-5 Arsenal - Win the league tonight as we’re 7 points clear with 2 games left. GC 14: Werder Bremen 6-1 Mainz - 2 games left, we’re 4 points clear. A win against Frankfurt on Saturday will win the league for us. GC 17: Barcelona 1-0 Valladolid - Top by 5 points after 10 games. GC 25: Belenenses 5-4 Benfica - An eventful first game in charge but ended in defeat. Had the better of all the stats but never mind, wasn’t ever likely we’d catch Porto up anyway. GC 26: Zenit 4-0 Spartak Nalchik - 8 points clear after 18 games. GC 27: Manchester United 0-1 Sunderland - Drop from 1st to 2nd, next two games are Chelsea and then the team that just overtook us, Liverpool. GC 29: Boca Juniors 3-2 Velez Sarsfield - Stay 2nd, three points behind Estudiantes at the half way point of the season. GC 55: Bayern Munich 3-2 Hamburg - Stay 2nd but level on points with leaders Hertha. 18 games played. GC 65: Valladolid 2-5 Sevilla - A good win in what could be seen as a rehearsal for the upcoming Spanish Shield final. 16 games played, 13 points clear of 2nd place Real Madrid. Only dropped two points all season when we drew with Barcelona. GC 66: Vitoria de Guimaraes 1-3 Porto - After 14 games, we’re top by 7 points. GC 70: Athletic Club 2-6 Barcelona - Played my second team because we’ve got a cup semi final coming up on Friday. Luis Suarez (3), Jovetic (2) and Tasci with the goals to cap off a good season. We end up winning the league with 96 points, 9 points clear of 2nd place Sevilla. GC 71: Sampdoria 1-2 Juventus - Already won the league, we’re now 10 points clear with 2 games left. GC 72: Roma 5-1 Palermo - 5 points clear with 2 games left, a win against Chievo on Saturday would secure the title. GC 74: Chelsea 1-3 Stoke - Poor result - lost so many games this season against weak opposition, but still top. 6 games left to protect our two-point lead. GC 88: Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool - We edged the stats to disappointed to lose, drop to 5th but still only 3 points off top spot. GC 105: Bari 2-1 Catania - A Kacar double does the trick - we jump from 7th to 5th. 4 league games left but two of them are tough games against Milan and Fiorentina. Finishing 5th would be a good achievement for me. GC 116: Inter Milan 4-1 Parma - Stay top by one point, almost half way through the season.
  18. Re: Available Teams, No Job Offers! (GC Teams Only!) Lyon in GC44
  19. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread 2 games, 2 honours GC 18: Milan beat Manchester City 2-1 to win the SMFA Shield. Next up is Fiorentina in the Charity Shield on Thursday. GC 100: Milan beat an unmanaged Genoa 5-2 in the Italian Cup final to win the domestic double. Haven’t bothered with this team at all apart from setting tactics so will quit after the Charity Shield.

  23. Re: Gold Championship 18 Match Reports / Transfers Thread DOUBLE JOY FOR MILAN 2-0 Skrtel 46' Nasri 65' Team News The two most successful clubs in European football locked horns at the Estadio Azteca last night in what shaped up to be a memorable SMFA Champions Cup Final. Both Milan and Real Madrid had already wrapped up their domestic league titles, and were looking to add to their trophy cabinet. Milan made two changes from the side that lost the Italian Cup final - Gennaro Gattuso and Daniele de Rossi both being left out of the starting XI due to Harvey changing from a 3-5-2 to a diamond formation. In came Martin Skrtel to partner Pepe at the heart of the defence, and Goran Pandev returned to the side partnered with Emmanuel Adebayor up front. Real Madrid shocked pundits and fans alike by leaving out big name stars such as Kaka, Diego Milito and Robinho. Handanovic S. Ramos ---- Skrtel ---- Pepe ---- Cissokho Essien Beckham ------------------------------- Nasri Ronaldinho Pandev ---- Adebayor Quagliarella Alberto ---------------------------------- Pavlenko Ambrosini ---- De La Red Gago Marcelo ---- Kaladze ---- Heinze ---- Ziegler Casillas Viewers anticipating an exciting, end-to-end game of football were left disappointed by the early exchanges, as both sides looked more eager not to concede rather than score themselves. Neither keeper was tested up until the 25th minute when Iker Casillas tipped a David Beckham free kick round the post. 10 minutes before the interval, ex-Milan player Massimo Ambrosini tried his luck with a well-struck overhead kick but it didn't trouble Samir Handanovic. Referee Jon Moss brought a drab first half to an end and, as the song goes, things can only get better. An early break through was just what was needed to spark the game into life, and that's exactly what it got when Michael Essien's deflected strike earned a corner for Rossoneri. David Beckham picked out Martin Skrtel whose first header was saved by Casillas but the Slovakian defender followed up with a toe poke to break the deadlock. Real Madrid searched for an equaliser with both Aleksandr Pavlenko and Fernando Gago going close, before Milan doubled their advantage. A loose ball from Ambrosini gifted Samir Nasri the ball and the Frenchman jinked inside Gabriel Heinze and slotted the ball coolly past Casillas. Despite Madrid's efforts, the remaining 20 minutes of the game were fairly comfortable for Milan and they held on for the 2-0 victory.
  24. Re: Official Gold Championships Discussions Thread GC18: Milan beat Real Madrid 2-0 to win the Champions Cup . Won the league and SMFA Cup this season and came runners up in the Italian Cup and Shield. GC 100: Milan beat Internazionale 2-0 to progress to the Italian Cup final, where we'll play Genoa on Tuesday.
