  1. Re: System loan bids I have players from my team on loan list and have not had any offers for them , but looking at other teams within my game world they are evidently able to loan players out to unmanaged teams. Why is this happening?
  2. Re: French Ligue 1 and 2 Hi, I'm looking to buy some up and coming French goalkeepers for my Lyon team. I have a mainly French side with a few Brazilians and Argentines thrown into the mix. Are there any young keepers that would be worth adding to my squad. Thanks.
  3. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Should be shown to the Spurs team before every match, shows the grit and guile that Spurs have and they look like they were really enjoying themselves. No need for a team talk Harry, just tell 'em to do it all again!
  4. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Harry has signed a contract extension till 2013. That's him tied down nicely for a while. Pre season games coming up are: Kick-off our match schedule in the States against the Earthquakes in San Jose on Saturday 17th, kick-off 1pm local time (9pm UK). We then face New York Red Bulls in the Barclays New York Challenge on on Thursday week, July 22, kick-off 8pm local time (1am July 23, UK time) and then Sporting Lisbon on Sunday week, July 25, kick-off 1pm local time (6pm UK time). MLS outfit New York Red Bulls could be showing off new signing Thierry Henry and also boast ex-Aston Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel in their squad, while Sporting's first team includes ex-Spurs players Pedro Mendes and Helder Postiga alongside fellow Portuguese internationals Joao Moutinho and Miguel Veloso. Villarreal at the Lane on Thursday 29th July We then have an encounter with Benfica in Lisbon on August 3. Away to Benfica on the 3rd August (Tuesday) Last pre season game is Fiorentina playing at White Heart Lane on the 7th Saturday August. Start our premier campaign at home against a newly reinforced and big spending Man City on Sat 14th... followed by what 'should' be a fairly straight forward and easy run off games vs, Stoke City, Wigan Athletic, West Brom, Wolves and West Ham before playing Aston Villa. 5. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Cry away Lennon, the news only gets better. Ledley is back and yourself set to return soon, after all my huffin' and puffin' about us throwing the 4th spot away we are still in with a chance! I didn't see the match only highlights... but what the hell was Bale doing popping up in the right forward position? Glad he did though!
  6. Re: Players: Should I buy, sell or keep? I'm looking to strengthen my forward line and am weighing up which one of the following three I should buy (all other similar ranked strikers are not an option) HUNTELAAR, Klaas-Jan age 26 rated 91 GIGNAC, André-Pierre 24 90 KURANYI, Kevin 28 91 I know Kuranyi is having a good season whilst the other two have been faltering of late, but longer term which will be the better prospect? Many Thanks.
  7. Re: PAULO HENRIQUE, Chagas (85) - 8B So he recently rose to 86, is it still worth keeping him, has he reached his limit at his current club? If he moves can he reach higher? I have the chance of trading him for Diego PEROTTI (plus a bit of cash), would this be a good deal?
  8. Re: Goal Keeper riser needed Just read that is likely to get a +3 to 86 next ratings change, so that might make my mind up. Thanks for the help anyway guys.
  9. Re: Goal Keeper riser needed also gone :( is CARRASSO, Cédric likely to get a rise. He is possibly a bit expensive and not really needed as a sub goalie, but if his value goes up enough it would be worth it.
  10. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Just when it was vital that Spurs get three points ahead of their upcoming games against the top three we throw it all away against Sunderland. It will be incredibly hard for us to regain that 4th spot from City (though I think it is between us and them, counting Villa and Liverpool out of the race for the champions league spot). I would happily settle for a Europa Cup place now, as I reckon the CL would be stretch us too far, too soon. We really need to strengthen our squad to make any sort of indent on the CL and the Premier League. I'll be interested to see what Sandro offers, but I now think it is time that we get rid of either or both of Woodgate and King. It is too much to expect a team that is pushing for a top 4 finish to support two such injury prone players and play most of the season with the 3rd/4th/5th choice pairings at the back. In my opinion Assou Ekoto has had his time at Spurs, Bale has finally shown the sort of form and skill that we all hoped he had and Corluka is a solid performer. Hopefully we will see some more new faces at Spurs next season that will be providing competition for places not just backup for injured players. Lets build on the success of this season!
  11. I currently have GABBARINI, Adrián (age24) (rated83) as my sub goalie and am looking to replace him with another riser. I have about 9 mil to spend but as sub goalies never get any games I'm really just looking for the best riser in terms of value. Rene Adler is my first team goalie. Any ideas? Thanks.
  12. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents and Droppers 2009 Which of these young players are likely to get good rises in the next changes, as far as I know they have all had games in the first team (some are now regulars). Which are must buys/low rated high risers etc. They are all under or around 4.5 million in my game world. 13. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread THE SPURS MANSION does have a certain ring about it, I could get used to saying: "I'm off down to the Lane to the Mansion".
  14. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread More Transfer window talk: Spurs now in for the running for two Dutch strikers in Ruud van Nistelrooy and Klass-Jan Huntelaar. Inter might swoop in for Jermain Jenas. Giorgio Chiellini's agent stayed behind after a recent match to talk to Spurs officials (though I wouldn't hold my breadth about this rumour) Simon Kjaer from Palermo, would be a great signing. Mahamadou Diarra from Real Madrid (shame it's not Lass we are talking about). Ryan Babel looks for a way out from Liverpool.
  15. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread Darn we missed out on playing Liverpool whilst they are going through a bad patch, I bet they start a U-turn in form now and we meet them when they are rampant (usual Tottenham optimism there). Hull this weekend and lets hope we can make up some points against Arsenal and Man City. Spurs' Sandro transfer saga continues with the two clubs disagree on terms... not over the player, but a proposed club link-up. We have a hold up with the exit of Pavlyuchenko, who was rumored to leaving for Zenit. Spurs as usual linked with every player going, persistent rumors are: Midfielders Flamini from AC Milan, and Joe Cole from Chelsea Stricker Luis Saha of Everton (pos switch with Robbie Keane) Fullback Belhadj from Portsmouth Slovakian keeper Jan Mucha Onder Turaci a defender from Turkey More links with Redknapp and his former club include David James on-off move to Stoke which will undoubtably mean we are going to associated with the former England keeper, also their is talk of us re-singing defender Younes Kaboul (especially as we are stilled owed money from the transfer). We also have already had a £5 million bid for Saviola rejected Also making big news is Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham Hotspur manager, being charged with two counts of tax evasion yesterday after allegedly cheating Revenue & Customs out of about £40,000 while manager of Porstmouth FC. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/tottenham/article6988670.ece Naughty Harry!
  16. Re: Players: Should I buy, sell or keep? I'm looking to trade my Giovani dos Santos for either ABATE, Ignazio or PASTORE, Javier. Which would I be better off going for? Thanks.
  17. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents and Droppers 2009 Phil and all German experts what in your opinion is the first XI and team that Germany will take to the World Cup?
  18. Re: Bundesliga Risers, Talents and Droppers 2009 Whom would I be better off buying Heiko Westerman or Jerome Boateng? Both first choice for their teams and looking like starters for Germany, but which will have best chance of future increases - moves to bigger clubs etc. Thanks.
  19. Re: Players: Should I buy, sell or keep? Cheers Koye, Caleb.
  20. Re: Players: Should I buy, sell or keep? I'm thinking of buying Walter Samuel in my set where is worth 13.4million, my current CB's are: MAXWELL, Scherer LB/LM 28 92 BRUNO ALVES, Eduardo CB 28 92 ESCUDE, Julien CB/LB 30 92 GAMBERINI, Alessandro CB 28 91 CHYGRYNSKIY, Dmytro CB 23 90 Is he worth getting for Maxwell or Escude? Thanks for any help.
  21. Re: The Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread I am loving this season, more ups and downs than I'm used too, I thought for a while that both Villa and Man City were going to drop points today. Hope Arsenal fail to capitalise on Man Utd bad result (did I say bad, I meant laughable... I laughed... no I really did). What do we reckon the long term midfield 4 will look like? If we are to play both Croatians and Lennon on the right will Huddlestone or Palacios miss out? And how well will we cope when Assou-Ekotto and Bassong go on international duty for the Africans Cup? If King and Woodgate don't recover it looks like Hutton and Bale will come into the first team! - Did I just hear you all gasp in anguish? I positively messed my self.
