  1. Re: Legend Sir Bobby Robson passes away at 76 R.I.P Sir Bobby. Much love and sympathy to your family. and much love to you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sUGhX6mCTU
  2. Re: I NEED A STRIKER! Any recommendations? Ok, thanks.Lopez was a player I was already considering and will continue to do so. Your other players seem good, but I need someone who can lead the line in a WC right now. Thanks
  3. Ok, so I just managed to (in my opinion) make a fantastic deal. I'm Zenit St Petersburg and I sold Pavel Pogrebenyak to AC Milan for £20m. I now have a £22m budget and I need a centre forward of the same quality as Pogrebenyak. I'd rather he be 26 or under and at least a rating of 91. Please help me out here ^^ Thanks.
  4. Re: Nicolás Ramírez - Possible Talent? Ok, as I say I'm new to the whole thing but here's what else I came up with. -He's a regular starter in SM for Lanus. -No Goals/Assists as it's very early on in the season. -His morale is consistently good. -Rating Change: 2 (Date: 12-6-2009) -Contract: 4 Years - £12,150 per Turn I will update you as the season progresses and do my best to improve my scouting. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Re: English Championship 3995. Reading. Reading News. 30th July 2009. Last Fixture Result:-Reading 0-3 Newcastle. There was to be no shock on the cards as Newcastle deserved their win. I NEED HELP! Reading 0-3 Sheffield United. WORSE THAN THE NEWCASTLE PERFORMANCE! My next fixture is away to Peterbourough. If i don't beat them, then I don't see Reading going anywhere this year after just 2 or 3 games... Give some advice. My current plan is to go all out attack for Peterbourough, hopefully Kitson and Hulk will show their worth in this one. If not, I may have to look to other game worlds...

  7. Re: Zenit - WC6326 The second fixture of the season was held last night and I was reasonably pleased with the outcome. Zenit faced Arsenal at home, which was a hard game considering their average rating is 92 and my Zenit's is 90. We'd signed two new players, Jose Maria Callejon for £3.9m and Franco Zuculini for £8m. They both took some part in the game and we came away with a 1-1 draw. Fabregas put Arsenal ahead after 10 minutes before Fernando Meira struck back 8 minutes later for Zenit. My Reading team again were destroyed 3-0 by Sheffield United and are rock bottom of the league, so I was still disappointed overall. But as long as Zenit remain unbeaten and keep playing well against much better opposition, then I'll certainly cope.
  8. Name Nicolás Ramírez Position Fwd/Wing Age 21 Team Lanús Sm Value £3.0M Sm Rating 82 He's a fairly young, undiscovered Argentinian with a decent rating and he's not extremely pricy. So if you have the money, I think he may be worth a gamble. This is my first scout, so I hope it wasn't bad. Cheers and have a look at him, he seems promising and could easily be sold after a season or two with a higher value.
  9. Re: Zenit - WC6326 In my previous news, I was slightly anxious of the outcome of the Madrid game away. I had signed no players whereas Madrid had signed Henry to add to their ridiculous amount of talent. When 8 O'clock arrived and results came in, my Reading team in another game world lost to Newcastle miserably at home 3-0. I was disappointed, and was dreading the thrashing that was almost certain at the Bernabau in my Zenit game world. I had won 3-0. I looked again. No doubt about it, a 3-0 victory for Zenit St Petersburg against the Galacticos on their turf. 2 Goals from Pogrebnyak and 1 from Huszti settled it before 40 minutes had even arrived. Good times, certainly cheered me up after the Reading disaster. COME ON ZENIT. LETS TAKE THIS LEAGUE.
  10. Re: English Championship 3995. Reading. Reading News. 25/07/09 Big match against predicted champions Newcastle tonight. Newcastle have signed around 6 or 7 new players, with Reading signing 3 major players. Reading have signed: Alan Smith from Newcastle Hulk from Porto Alan Hutton from Tottenham These three players should be very influential on Reading's season. Especially youngster Hulk. After all he cost £6 Million, Leroy Lita and Glen Little. He has a lot to prove. Is there a shock on the cards? Will Newcastle win as expected or will Reading's new stars defeat them?
  11. Re: English Championship 3995 v.s Reading are nearly ready for the first fixture of the season. At 8 o'clock they will face off against predicted champions Newcastle in Reading. Newcastle signed a host of players a few days before the season began and seem about ready. They signed Andrey Voronin, Marco Boriello, Michael Bradley, Fernandes Michael Bastos, Cristoph Metzelder and Tony Hibbert. They and Newcastle regulars such as Martins, Gutierrez and Taylor should be enough to see off promotion hopefuls Reading. Unless there is a shock on the cards. Reading are looking to spring a quick deal before kick off with Kazenga LuaLua arriving from Doncaster with experienced Gunnarson heading the other way. Reading are not to be taken lightly as they have signed some big name players that will surely put them in contention for promotion this year. Alan Smith arrived from Newcastle for £5 Million before Rosenior was snapped up by Aston Villa for the same price and a couple of youngsters. In the brisk search for a right back to take Roseniors place, Hulk arrived from Porto for £6 million, Leroy Lita and Glen Little. Today Alan Hutton was signed as right back as Liam's replacement. This could be closer than predicted if Reading's tactics are spot on. What do you think the result will be?
  12. This is where I'll post a load of stuff from my Reading team and transfers etc. My first 11 is so far this: GK - A Federici RB - A Pearce CB - I Ingimarsson CB - A Bikey LB - C Armstrong RM - J Kebe CM - A Smith (Signed From Newcastle) CM - J Harper LM - S Hunt ST - G Hulk (Signed From Porto) ST - D Kitson I brought in a few cheap players on Free Transfers that were relatively young. They have been placed in the youth squad. My Strikeforce seems pretty strong. Although I sold Leroy Lita as part of the deal to land Hulk, I have Hulk, Kitson, Hunt, Long and Church. My midfield doesn't need much improvement for now. Smith was a good buy in my opinion and can play midfield or centre forward. I also have lots of cover in the midfield from Cisse and Matejovsky. My defense needs a tweak here and there. My main priority is right back. Alex Pearce is a centre back and I don't want him playing out of role for a long time. Although I tried to land Steven Taylor and Paul McShane, those deals didn't work out. I have offered 6.5-7 Million for Hutton of Spurs and it has been accepted. Hopefully it all goes through without a hitch. If you have any comments on my team, praise, improvements, just leave them here. All are appreciated.
  13. This is where I'll be posting any news about my Zenit team. Feel free to comment on it and offer improvements. So far I have made no transfers whatsoever thanks to my ridiculous chairman. I was after Mario Balotelli from Inter for 12 Million plus Faith Tekke (a player that doesn't look like he'll fit into my plans). When Inter accepted the deal I was extremely pleased but the day after, my chairman prevented it going ahead. I may have to turn to a cheaper option or take another risk and go for Robert Acquafresca, who is a decent player. At the moment I need a striker to help out Pogrebnyak. Because I have just a day before the season kicks off...away at Real Madrid. Please give me a few hints on who could do a job for somewhere under 10 million in a midfield or striker role. Thank you.
