  1. Re: Fluff's Mixed Nations Finish our first season in the setup 2nd, one point behind Dynamo Kiev. Pretty good for a side whose only 92+ player is Lewandowski. Could've finished in first, but dropped too many points on our way towards the finish line. Most of our TBs come off in a few days, so might wait till then and do some transfer market tinkering. Don't plan on expanding squad size too much, but definitely a couple players I probably could/should move and a couple areas where I could use some better quality players.
  2. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread What a transfer. With Robben out for the season and not getting any younger, I have to say that this a transfer hugely skewed in your favor. Robben is also a speed merchant, and speed is one of the first things to go with age, so I can't see him playing at the highest level for longer than 1-2 years, if that. Quite the gamble by United, especially since Higuain has had a decent season for them. A+ transfer for Liverpool, B- transfer for United. Liverpool gets rid of its excessive depth at winger and signs an elite striker in the process; Uni
  3. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Afraid it only works the other way around Ant... 3-0 loss against Charlton really stung, especially since we had nearly double the total shots and shots on target. Gonna pull out the good ol' MK Dons excuse and blame Charlton's keeper, who got MotM. Back in the relegation zone, making the next couple of matches vs United and Fulham especially important. Picking up three points vs either team would be a big step in the right direction for the team.
  4. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Willing to challenge Carlisle on all those low rated risers Put in my bid for Benteke, will follow up with Pires & a couple others after.
  5. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Preciate it NDF. SM almost never gives rises of greater than +5 these days, so I doubt he'd rise to 80 in one go. Not to mention the Serbian league is underrated by SM. Nevertheless, he could very well reach 80 or higher in the future; just don't expect it in one shot.
  6. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Anyone got any good keeper recommendations? I need to sell my 2nd choice keeper as its clear SM don't ever plan to rate him appropriately despite the fact that he is Egypt's starting GK... Not looking for a star prospect per say, as most star prospects are likely to have already been snatched up in my league. Even a good 70 GK with a chance of rising to 77 or 80 down the line would be great.
  7. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread If you quit them they'll go to some manager in Div3/4, who'd be foolish not to take them...and even if they don't decide to take them, it'll be them who decide where the team goes, not you.. Maybe I've just been a little paranoid lately, but if you wanna stay, stay, if you don't, just leave quietly. Does no good for anyone for you to mope and talk about how little you care about the game from week to week. I know from experience that SM is a game that you lose and gain interest in from time to time. I think I hardly made a transfer from mid-
  8. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Didn't you just acquire Griezmann? Funny stuff. I'm sure it'll be a good deal tho.
  9. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Can they get promoted to the Bundesliga? They're basically RB Salzburg B, and B teams can't get promoted to the same league by UEFA/FIFA rules. No idea how FC Liefering are formally structured though. EDIT: Just checked wiki: "They are the farm team of FC Red Bull Salzburg. Because they play under the licence of USK Anif, Liefering are eligible for promotion to Bundesliga."
  10. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Yes, Florin Gardos at Forest (85). Apparently not...stupid chairman won't allow me to loan out Hazard, Beauvue, Vedra or Gardos. I can understand the first two, but players at 85 or lower should be allowed to leave no problem...
  11. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players
  12. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Captains the team too. +2 is likely though I feel he deserves a +4 easily.
  13. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players FC Liefering is basically RB Salzburg's youth team. So players regularly go down and up between the teams if they're not senior or established members of the first team. That being said, they are a hotbed of great talent, Austrian and otherwise. People criticize Red Bull as a management company for the amount of name-pushing they do (putting Red Bull everywhere), but they've turn RB Salzburg into a strong team with a terrific youth system.
  14. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Rakitic deal + Griezmann deal are particularly strong. Di Maria deal should also look good if Di Maria can figure out how to play with United. Valdes transfer is probably the riskiest of the bunch, though you didn't really give up much to get him. If he can avoid a -2, should still prove to be a decent deal.
  15. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Ah, now that I can agree with. I had Walsh shortlisted but didn't buy him as I thought any rise with 750 minutes would be premature. SM definitely play favorites with the Dutch and Belgian leagues though, along with a couple others outside the big 5. Serbia way down the list unfortunately.
  16. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Where are you getting 2300 minutes? He rose 2 July 2014. Since then he's played about 1500 minutes this season. Still definitely deserve a rise, though I wouldn't imagine it to be more than +3/+5 and its hardly way overdue. Am I missing something?
  17. Re: SUPERNAG - NDF's Criminally Underrated SoccerManager Players Hi guys, Long term lurker, posting for the first time. I'm a big fan of finding underrated players myself playing in one of the most competitive setups on SM (7046). I may be misunderstanding, but I believe the way that SW works is that your edit gets rejected if it gets more downvotes than upvotes. I've gotten quite a few edits of mine rejected, particularly stadium edits and club edits, for that reason. I'm sure there's some oversight from SM, but I don't think it's all their fault when an edit gets rejected. I've done plen
  18. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread Very solid deal for both of yall. So much activity going on in the internal transfer market; looking forward to transfer bans expiring so I jump back into the fun as well. Also, for those who might not have seen: Trying to send out Nenny, Gardos & Moreno out on loan for rest of the season. If interested, get your bids in.
  19. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread You should actually offer it to me.
  20. Re: Fluff's Mixed Nations happy to do an interview as well.
  21. Re: English Championship 7046 Discussion Thread No wins in 7, 3 points out of 21, reckon we're a good bet for relegation at this point. We started out strong, but injuries to Rodrigues, Salah, Mathieu, Payet, Basta and others have left us in pretty bad shape. Really needed a win against Bury today, but despite the edge in possession we were hardly able to muster any decent chances on goal. Desperately need 3 points in our next game vs Swansea.
