  1. hi m8,wat is te besr tactics against 4231

  2. Re: Random Liga Adelante and Serie B risers You definitely nailed this thread. Well done. Who are the best prospects to continue to hold, and who do you think we should just cash in on right away?
  3. I have had some trouble in the past with deals that I completed during the closed window collapsing, so I am interested in what would happen in this scenario: I've got a 5 mil budget, and I bought 4.5 mil worth of prospects, many of whom have risen substantially. All these deals are done but have not been deducted from my budget and will be processed at turn 18. If I stop there, I know I will be fine. But I just sold a player for 6 million. Can I now buy an additional 4 mil worth of prospects? Will the game process these transactions in order? In that case it would be 5.0 - 4.5 + 6.0 -
  4. Re: Turkish Database - Ask me anything excellent thread, mate. repped in advance. what prediction do you have for the following in this ratings turn? Bezgin 76 -> Ipek 77 -> Gokoglan 75 -> cheers.
  5. Re: New Game World Economies Explained Thanks for the clarification!
  6. Re: New Game World Economies Explained Question regarding point #2. I don't remember the old system because I've only played 2 seasons. You specifically say clubs cannot do "transfers" when club balance is in debt. By my reckoning, selling a player to raise funds is a transfer. So does this mean that if I go 500k in debt, I'm not allowed to sell a player to raise funds? And that essentially, you can never, ever go into debt, not even for a brief moment???
  7. Re: need help with aggressive 4-2-3-1 fascinating lesson in today's result. ultimately, i stuck with what i think i do best and played my 4-3-3 with wingers. my opponent, who had run the same formation and tactics in each of his first five matches (all easy victories) tried to surprise me with (of all things) a defensive 5-3-2 with a sweeper!!! Result? 64% possession for me, and a 4-0 victory. Bet he wishes he had stuck with what got him there.
  8. Re: need help with aggressive 4-2-3-1 thanks again, mate. unfortunately i think most of those players are gone going to get Johnson, though. he's still around. And Ephraim came with the side! (QPR) anyway, match is today, will let you know how it goes.
  9. Re: need help with aggressive 4-2-3-1 Barracuda, you've been quite helpful, my friend. was wondering if i could throw a general question at you. Last year was my first season. After a poor start when i didn't know the rules, i switched to the 4-3-3 with wingers went on a great run (14 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss), though 12 of the 16 matches were against unmanaged sides. When the window opened, I upgraded four positions, but suddenly went into my worst form of the season! then my two wingers got injured, and that was that. i finished 7th. anyway, i haven't quite settled on a side yet, and was
  10. Re: The Fadedwolfz Guide to SM excellent guide. would like to ask you about your belief that 3 in the back is the way to go. i just finished my first season with a bunch of newcomers, and most of us were using 3-5-2's and 3-4-1-2's in the beginning with much success. but i changed to a 4-3-3 with wingers, and someone else began using a 4-4-2 diamond. we both attacked down the flanks and had our wide players run forward. pretty soon, the teams with fullbacks and wingers started killing the teams with three man backs, and everyone had to stop using 3 man backs against managed sides. do
  11. Re: need help with aggressive 4-2-3-1 it's less fear and more annoyance! i'm tempted to play my 4-3-3 with wingers, since it is my formation, I am at home, and I have the superior side. But the few times i've been so proud and stubborn to do so against an inferior 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 defensive, i've either drawn or lost. then again, that was only 3 times. but i'm not sure if i have the courage to go for the fourth. what is the typical counter to a 4-5-1? have you ever tried a 3-2-2-2-1? in theory, i'd be outnumbering his 5 man midfield. but if he does get possession at pushes down the
  12. Re: Countering 3-5-2 in my division everyone was using a 3-5-2 with great success. then one team switched to a diamond and he beat every 3-5-2 in the division. the key was to attack down the flanks, and have all four wide players running forward.
  13. Re: need help with aggressive 4-2-3-1 I was thinking of using the 4-2-3-1 myself, also. I actually tried using his same exact tactics with my international side (Ivory Coast), and the results were terrible! how do you suggest i set my mentality, tackling, etc, to counter his aggressiveness? appreciate your help. match is thursday, btw.
  14. Re: need help with aggressive 4-2-3-1 yes, it is home match. last fixture: http://www.soccermanager.com/club.php?action=squad&clubid=21257305 so, any counter ideas?
