I know you have a massive serial vendetta against Young but some of your statements here have been ridiculous. Only cross when a player's in space in the box? When does that honestly occur regularly. I suppose that Nani's cross to Rooney for the overhead kick was a terrible cross also (took a deflection to get to him if memory serves). I suppose that Scholes' cross to Ronaldo vs Roma was awful because our two biggest players in the box were Park and Rooney while they had maybe 8 defenders in the box and the cross went no where near either of them.
I'm not advocating crossing by any stretch of the imagination but categorising a "successful" cross is not as black and white as you seem to think.

Incorrect, played 31% of his games in the number 7 and played 50% in number 11! Can't let you get away with trying to belittle fans whilst being wrong yourself.

Read somewhere and edited according to what I think.
DeGea - Quality! Wouldn't swap him for any other keeper.
Rafeal - Still a bit raw, but well worth holding on to. Improving all the time.
Vidic - Out of contract at the end of the season. May get renewed. Be a good squad player, don't think he's good enough to be an automatic starter anymore. Age and injury caught up with him.
Rio - CANNOT put into words how good of a player he's been over the years. So composed on the ball. Desperately need a defender of the same calibre as he was 6 or 7 years ago. Contract up at the end of the season. I don't think it will be renewed ... Maybe offered a coaching role? Would be a shame to lose him completely. Too slow to carry on playing now though.
Evans- Our best defender easily.A beast and has improved a lot in the previous seasons.
Evra - Contract up at the end of the season. Would be happy with a one year extension, but age has caught up with him, and United need a new left back to start. Use Evra as a squad player.
Jones - Quality player. Only going to get better. Personally prefer him in midfield but a lot of United fans prefer him at CB.
Valencia - Pacey but very one dimensional. Bought to replace the best player in the world IMO, so always going to struggle to win over fans. Needs to add goals to his game, and learn how to use his left foot. I'd like to see him start LW and cut in on his right foot. Anybody with his pace can cause problems. (Controvoursial)
Young - Never thought he was United quality. Hasn't impressed me one bit since we signed him except one or two occasions Time to move him on.
Januzaj - Can be as good as he wants to be. Hopefully Moyes can keep his feet on the ground (both dealing with playing for a massive club at such a young age, and this daft diving that seems inherent in his game). Will be world class one day! Needs building up in the gym like Ronaldo and DeGea did. Hope we can keep him long term. Could be an Old Trafford legend.
Nani - Just signed a 5 year contract. Most disappointing player in the squad because every now and again, you see glimpses of how good he could have been! So frustrating! Need a new winger! Nani is never going to start week in week out! Squad player.
Giggs - Legend! Got to be his last season though! Time to concentrate on his coaching role!
Cleverley - Another one who splits opinions with United fans. I personally think he's worth keeping. May be not a starter, but worth keeping as a squad player. Carrick and Fletcher aren't getting any younger!
Carrick - 32/33 yrs old. Might get another season out of him. Needs a world class partner in the centre with him, DESPERATELY!!! Long term he needs replacing!!
Fellaini - I just haven't made my mind up yet. Was a beast for Everton. I say just give him time and see!!
Fletcher - Unlikely to be as good as he was. Useful to have in the squad though!
Anderson - Should have been shipped off 3 or 4 years ago!! Complete disappointment!!
Welbeck - Prospect, that's for sure.Well worth keeping in the squad.
Hernandez - Will always score goals! Don't think he suits our style of play to be a starter though!! Madly, I never thought Van Nistelrooy suited our style either. Running off the last defender, never with his back to goal. He scored a lot of goals, but we didn't win a lot of trophies while he was there! Won a lot more after he was sold! Hernandez reminds me of Van Nistelrooy. Would love for him to stay as an impact substitute, but my opinion is he will leave in summer. Never going to be a starter for United, even if Rooney leaves!
RVP - World class, but getting on and injury prone (which we did knew before we got him). . May get another season out of him. Will probably need him too, because I think Rooney is off in summer.
Rooney - Love him or hate him as a person .... UNITED LEGEND .... No question!! Contract up Jan '15. If he doesn't sign a new contract in the next few months then it looks like he's being sold in summer!! Will be 28/29 years old by then. We've had him for his best years. Hope he doesn't go, but if he does, then he goes a United legend in my eyes.

Can only keep as up to date as news is made readily available to us, many people didn't know Nick Powell wasn't playing as he was recovering from back surgery, but that was purely because the club never really said a lot about it. If I hear anything I'll post it

Absolutely flabbergasted reading through some of these posts. Can't understand how players can be wholly judged on stats and stats alone (sorry, also one poor miscontrol in a pre-season friendly). Watching Welbeck in every game (more or less) that he played last year, it is so easy to see, for any half-wit United fan, that he's going to be a fantastic player for us.
If you're telling me playing for England from U-17 right the way through to the first team is a fluke or due to the lack of "able" strikers you are nigh-on insane. His contribution to a team is so essential; he doesn't play the way Van Persie does, he doesn't sit on the shoulder of the last defender, he doesn't look be the main finisher of moves, he is always moving, showing for the ball into feet, running into the channels, chasing midfielders tirelessly, look at the Madrid game for goodness sake. Xabi Alonso completed 21 passes in the 55 minutes that it was 11 vs 11, with only 10 of these actually crossing the halfway line. Who was thanks to? Would Rooney have applied that kind of pressure? No. Really find it hard to believe that Sir Alex Ferguson, Roy Hodgson and Fabio Capello, three fantastic and decorated managers, have called up, played and will continue to play a second-rate player.
Danny is part of a newer breed of striker, a link-up man who will drop deep to get the ball, will play it forward or to the wings and go in search of another pass, not just run straight for the box a la RVP. Only have to look at some of his passing accuracy stats and number of passes to pay testament to this. Last season Welbeck had the highest pass completition percentage of any forward with 86.1%. This was even higher than England counterparts Steven Gerrard and Jack Wilshere. There is a reason Ferguson played Welbeck in so many big games, he is effective.
Have linked posts from much more well-written Reds with much more detail than I, but I feel there is no point in reposting sophisticated articles to a place such as this with so many imbecilic individuals who would be incapable of understanding how a striker isn't inherently bad for not scoring with regularity.

On checking William Hill I saw 1/4 odds for Baines to join Utd which doesnt surprise me as Moyes or no Moyes you would have made a big move for him anyway.
1/7 for Fellaini really surprised me, I knew he would be linked but to be shorter odds than Baines I wasnt expecting.
I personally think Chelsea and Real will try to get him too so it'll be interesting to see what happens. Both signings would suit Utd, and with Moyes there I guess that is why they are that short.
Now without actually caring that much as I would prefer to see you fail rather than continue doing well is other than players who have worked with Moyes before I kinda struggle to see what players would want to go to Utd with Moyes at the helm - I think long term he is a very logical and clever appointment - but with Chelsea, Man City, Spurs & to some extent Arsenal and Liverpool trying to take steps forward, Utd cant dwell too long on the whole transition 'thing'. But at the same time I can see why SAF is staying on in some capacity and in reality see it as a managerial partnership between the two Scotsmen - which could benefit you hugely - quite obviously next season is so key for you in terms of going forward as it is the first time you have had to in 26 years with SAF being the main man.
What I do see as extremely clever is the appointment of Moyes over say Mourinho (however likely or unlikely that was) - the expectation of Mourinho would be sky high - as it was at Real, and if he fails the club fails, again as it is currently at Real, & Utd cannot afford that to happen - plus I dont feel he would be given as long at Utd as Moyes would be given. With Moyes the expectation is fairly undecided but verging on medium and rising with time being given (considering SAF will still have a say for a while yet) - if Moyes fails neither his or Utd's reputation would be that damaged as much compared to a Utd/Mourinho failed attempt.
So I see the appointment of Moyes as rather safe - but can certainly see it developing into another 26 year stint if the transition goes how they want - and with SAF being the man to groom and pick Moyes - everything should happen how he wants it too.
    Interesting times beckon.

Under 18s yeah, he hasn't been as good this season, compared to last season as I think a lot expected, including myself. Players have shown him up a bit more like Daehli, Pearson, Wilson and Januzaj. He is very good though, no doubt will make the step up to the U21s and hopefully progress through the England youth ranks.

This isn't mine, but it is such a lovely poem.
Did you know Duncan Edwards Dad, I mean really really know?
It’s just you’ve kept so many cuttings from all those years ago.
And were the babes the greatest, the greatest ever team?
Or just enshrined here in this history, just a bygone boyhood dream.
Now I know you idolised them Dad, you gave each one their own page,
the pictures are well faded now, but I suppose that comes with age.
Dad, did Tommy Taylor really head a ball against the bar,
which Harry Gregg collected, it had rebounded back so far?
And was Duncan Edwards really, the greatest of them all,
with silken skills and feathery touch, thirteen stone and six foot tall?
Now there’s a contradiction surely Dad, but I’m going to let it pass,
but Billy Whelan must have played once, without first going to Mass.
And was Harry Gregg a goalkeeper supreme?
Were Eddie Coleman’s hazy runs like red blurs on swards of green?
And Dad can you explain to me how it ever came to pass,
that Roger Byrne, just five foot nine, covered every blade of glass?
Or how David Pegg whose swerving runs, like a scorpion you said,
always struck the ball with venom, yet left no one for dead?
Or how it was that big Mark Jones could soar into the sky,
yet still patrol his area, so that nobody got by?
Then there’s the team of Sixty Eight, and Dad I’d like to know,
how George Best was always missing, yet played five hundred games or so?
And how was it Bobby Charlton, who played so many vital roles,
could be both a great goalscorer and a scorer of great goals?
Or how Denis Law had chipped a ball from forty yards or more,
it came back off the crossbar, and yet Law was there to sc ore?
What use was it that Pat Crerand could split defences with one pass,
when the ball only ever landed on a sixpence on the grass?
And was Stepney’s save at Wembley, the best you’ve ever seen,
or was it just that it resulted in the fulfilment of a dream?
So now to Matt Busby, or Sir Matt as he’s now known,
from a mining town in Scotland, yet still one of our own?
Then finally there’s the Munich clock, the disaster time still shown.
why do people say that they never intended coming home?
The boy looked up with pleading eyes, and his father gently said.
There’s a lifetime of old memories in the scrapbook you’ve just read.
And of course there is some fiction, most fact, some strange yet true,
that’s what makes players into legends, now I’ve passed them on to you.
Those pictures may be faded son, but I can see them all so clear,
as if it were just yesterday, and I hold each memory dear.
Now I’ve passed this scrapbook on to you, to treasure for all time,
And you too will find your heroes and build to them a shrine,
and you’ll add your bits of fiction, but don’t worry son that’s fine,
to make legends of your heroes and then place them alongside mine.
And you’ll understand in years to come, as you watch great United teams,
why it is we call Old Trafford, The Theatre of Dreams.

Oil you United fans don’t be celebrating yet. If one thing has taught me from last season "CHAMP20NS" after the Arsenal game where we went 8 points ahead is never rest on my laurels. At the start of the season Chelsea were in pole position but after dropping few points look where they are? As for Citeh, they won’t be going away anytime soon. If United are winning a game & City are drawing I won’t think "yes they've dropped points here" as they've picked up United’s habit of getting the late goal in the dying moments. Just look at the reading match, west brom match in October !
So, the sensible thing would be to take one game at a time, next we've got Wigan. After last year I'm kind of daunting the trip to the DW (I'm going, should be fun :L) So don’t expect United to thrash Wigan as they're a decent team who seem to pick up points out of nowhere.
Never underestimate City as once SAF goes they'll be pleased as he's the one standing in the way of domination. Savour these moments with Sir Alex as he's 71 tomorrow. Tick Tock But hey that's life, I've enjoyed growing up with my local team (ish as I lived in Salford for a while until moving to Oldham) So savour these moments & don’t be bitter towards City fans as the many years of hurt for them will be reflected upon us. The one thing I 'admire' of City is the redevelopment of what they're doing near the stadium for the community as for the locals on here know that the area is a 'dump'.
Just letting you know I am not a southerner or a glory hunter but as you mature in life you relies there’s consequences of your actions, in my case it was celebrating like a mad man when there were still games to play. That’s my take on it.

Think Cleverley - Carrick midfield partnership is our best by some way, a necessity now. Anything less hampers, as evidenced by their removal today. Composure and craft > creaking limbs.
