  1. Re: Lower Leagues

Those leagues might get done soon but then again they might not, I don't really want a bunch of 70 rated players hanging around in my team for a year or two and then sometimes not even rising because they where dropped to the reserves in the meantime or transferred to somewhere in China or retired through injury or something. Better to wait until it is announced the league is going to be reviewed if its not a major one.

  2. Re: Allsvenskan and Eliteserien Young Risers

Hi I'm not an expert on Norway so I would like to ask the opinion of more knowledgeable managers here. How come Bakenga only rose by 3 while his teammate Wangberg rose by 5? They were both rated 75 and I thought Bakenga had the edge.

    Bakenga - 964 minutes - 9 starts - 4 goals

    Wangberg - 720 minutes - 8 starts - 2 goals

I'm not an expert on the Norway leagues either but maybe Wangberg played more minutes than Bakenga last season. I've also heard it said that the changes depend on how well the players play in games, not just the minutes played and goals scored. I've heard a lot depends on how players are rated by journalists following games and SM apparently read up on that stuff.

Edit* Actually I just checked and Wangburg has an extra 360 Champions league minutes for Rosenberg compared to Bakenga's 96 minutes.

Plus Bakenga only played 56 minutes last season. Wangburg played 270 and also has an extra 524 minutes on loan at Ranheim this season in the Norway 2nd tier League.

So thats probably why Wangberg rose more I guess :D

  3. Re: Brazil Risers

Because he is better player?Better form' date=' younger, plays for better team and because he got gametime with Brasil...

    Is it enough?[/quote']

Yeah Lucas, is doing better but I dunno its still a bit early on from the previous review for an 83 to get to an 86 or more IMO, but you could be right a rise to 86/87 isn't impossible.

  4. Re: Brazil Risers

Rodrigues Romano also got a +3. Had him on the shortlist but didn't think he would rise due to Avai's form this season so didn't buy him:( I reckon we could see some big rises (maybe even 84/85 for Oscar)

Good points' date=' I'm still thinking they wont be that generous overall but I could be wrong.

You might want to add Luiz Antonio of Flamengo to the OP. Pretty much nailed on for +3 at least.

Yeah I agree, Luiz Antonio will probably get a +3, he's out of contract in one of my WC set-ups too :)

MANOEL' date=' Messias Will he rise? If yes how much?[/quote']

Messias MANOEL will stay at 85 IMO.

  5. Re: Brazil Risers

Finally they started the review today, I have 4/4 right so far :D

Though I missed the only two players that got a +3 :

Henrique LEO > 75 - Started the two games for América Mineiro during the last week to bring him up to 187 minutes total.

Gustavo BASTOS > 80 - Regular for Avai this season, missed him due to his age oops!

  6. Re: need serious tactical help

thanks man' date=' i'm gonna play against an 89 rated lyon team on wednesday and i really need to come up with something to make the play offs. I'm gonna test out these tactics against them. So i should also set the mentality to defensive for teams with the same rating as me, such as lyon? Oh yeah, this lyon team likes to play with their mentality on v.attacking[/quote']

I know I would, good luck to you fella.

  7. Re: need serious tactical help

I would recommend looking round other teams/game worlds and seeing what works for successful managers with similar squads. Also read a few of the many threads about tactics already on this forum.

I'm guessing your main problem is that since you strengthened your team you have not been playing a more attacking game which would help a lot against opposition teams with an average rating of 86 or lower.

    I would play 3-5-2

    ----------------------------Andrey Pyatov----------------------

    ------Jorge Fucile----------Gabriel Milito-------Cristian Ansaldi-----

    -----------------------------Gokhan Inler----------------------

    Borges Willian-----Blaise Matuidi-----Mathieu Valbuena----Ludovic Obraniak

    --------------Roman Pavlyuchenko-------Yao Kouassi Gervinho------------

    with the tactics...

    Tackling Style - Hard

Mentality - Attacking against 87 or below rated teams and Defensive against 88 or above rated teams.

    Passing Style - Mixed

    Attacking Style - Mixed

    Tempo - Normal

    Pressing - Own Half

    Play Style

    Counter-Attack - Yes

    Men Behind Ball - Yes

    Tight Marking - No

    Play Offside Trap - No

    Use Playmaker - Yes

    Use Target Man - No

    Captain - Andrey Pyatov

    Penalty Taker - Roman Pavlyuchenko

    Free Kicks - Mathieu Valbuena

    Corner Taker - Mathieu Valbuena

    Playmaker - Mathieu Valbuena

    Target Man - Roman Pavlyuchenko

Your team is pretty similar to the Galatasaray team I am about to win div4 with in a world championship so you should do well with my tactics but if it doesn't work for the first few games still stick with it as it will be worth it. I always stick with the same tactics and it has worked in every world I have played in. Promise ;)

But like I said at the start look around the forums and other teams and you will be able to better grasp how tactics work and maybe, just maybe, you will find a better system for your team than mine. Not that I really think thats possible (but it could be) :D

  8. Re: Respuesta: Brazil Risers

Then' date=' Should I Buy him? He scored 12 goals, but in Santa Cruz...

Are you sure that he could rise to 81/82/83?[/quote']

No ujfalusi3 mate, the state league he scored 12 in is too weak, no-one bothers to read up about that state league. In fact all state leagues count for very little, its mostly about the Serie A.

  9. Re: Player rating changes

Thanks ! Also right now it says the Brazilian League is next' date=' so when should this happen? Is it all in one day ?[/quote']

The SM reviewers are on a break at the moment while the new SM user interface is being installed, the brazil players should start changing on monday and it will probably take three to five days to update them all.

  10. Re: Player rating changes

When do this changes take place for all the leagues? Can I get a link or something ' date=' it would really help if I could know when my players would have a rating change :)

    Appreciate the help :)[/quote']

At the moment SM decides only which league to review next, there is no schedule. If you go to one of your clubs and click on the 'Gameworld' tab and 'Player Database Changes' tab - it will show which leagues SM have decided to do next.

As a general rule the big Leagues like the Premiership/Serie A/Budesliga get reviewed 3 times a year and the smallest leagues like China for example being done every 3-5 years.

English leagues one + two get reviewed about every two years.

MLS once a year, I think.

  11. Re: **free agency tracker**

I don't understand how this works?

Why will a player leave an external club and become a free agent? Wouldn't they just stay with their previous club?

Its to keep the external club as realistic as possible so they have (as near as is possible) the same players as they do in real life.

  12. Re: Brazil Risers

does sudamericano stats also count in? example aleks GK he plays for Brazil in U20 Peru 2011. and brazil won the tournament. then he should be high rise. and plays 5 matches full time. 450 mins

    No they don't count.

The Sudamericana club continental competitions count but the Sudamericana U20 + U17 matches don't.

  13. Re: Brazil Risers

OK..now i know. but what about Wellington Nem 75 from figuierense? he is former U17 in 2009 score only one goal. how much do you think he will rise?

play only 235 mins one goal

    I put him down as a +2 - 75 > 77

My reasoning is there was another young player last review who started two games and played 180 minutes in the Serie A and got a +2 from 75 to 77 so I am predicting the soccer manager reviewers will do the same with this guy.

Its possible he won't get it, my predictions are based on Soccerway stats and how I think the reviewers will adjust the ratings this time. Maybe I have been a bit too conservative or less probably optimistic at reviewing the reviewers, time will tell. B)

  14. Re: Greatest Football Goals ever Witnessed

I'd vote Messi for the dribbling/skills, R.Carlos for the power/swerve and Argentina for the passing.

    Some more I like:

    Francesco Totti for vision/accuracy:

    George Weah for dribbling/determination:

    Alan Shearer for power/swerve:

    QBscGHxXMZg

    Carlos Alberto for team move:

  15. Re: Brazil Risers

    Júnior GILBERTO Fwd 75 > 77

He managed to scored 12 goals and 1369 mins for his former club Santa Cruz.

should he rise to 75 >81 or 83

State league results are not known for being overly appreciated.

Especially the PERNAMBUCANO 1, the state league he played in, it has zero Serie A teams.
