The away manager (Me ;) ) said this:

I am looking forward to going Southend and playing in this match which is the first game on the season, Today's game will be very close in my opinion, I am also expecting quite a lot of draws this season in our league and I think that we are good enough to stay in this division despite having nobody with a rating of over 80 ! We have got a good young squad, I am looking forward to watching Gerard Deulofeu play, Hes only 17 and will be playing regularly for us, he turns 18 years of age in just under 2.5 weeks.

It will be a really good game, we will have some good players against us, Gerard himself will after be at his best to get past experienced Alexander

Doni, they have a very good talent themselves in Jonathon Dos Santos and the experienced Robert Pires so in all positions we need to be up to the task !

Bristol's manager is hoping of a good season with his young team but as admitted that his side need to be up to it if they are to beat Southend who have got some good players in their team !

Southends manager said this:

I am looking forward to playing Bristol tonight, Its going to be a very interesting game, i do have some good players who ive brought in on the cheap but some would say that if i pick up a few injuries im certainly going to be weaker in other positions which is correct, Its always good when us managers meet (Myself and Ben) and I myself am looking forward to seeing how much im going to make or lose (Cashwise) tonight after our home match, Looking forward to the season but im not sure of where people are going to finish and am hoping i can stay in the league like every other manager will be !

Southend manager saying that he could lack a bit if he got injurys and is saying he's unsure of how its going to finish this season after all managers had £10M to spend and brought all players themselves.

PREDICTION

Gerard Deulofeu takes the lead in the first 20 minutes to put Bristol in front at Southend, the home side come back just after half time when Banana Yaya headers in from a corner, Minutes later Alex Nimely puts Southend in front from just a few yards out, Just a couple of minutes before the game ended Mustafa Amini saved bristol with a very good strike, The 2-2 draw leaves Southend and Bristol in joint 3rd because theres going to be 2 winners and a draw out of the other 3 matches. :P:p

Not long to go before the BIG KICK OFF :)

Re: WEBS League - Opened 9th Feb

Great work put onto the sponsor's , odds and the rest Ryan . Though I could say that I am disappointed to be given odds of 25/2 to win the league and 2/1 for Relegation :D . Meeh , It's understandable really with the poor squad I have I can't expect to finish top two really .. so I'm predicting myself a finishing position somewhere between 3 and 5 :) I hope I can beat the drop this season and Improve my team next season .. Once again , good luck to everyone :)

Mansfield bemused at how they are 3rd favourites to go up

Cedd said this is a news conference in Oxford, the university were he has a part time job as headmaster:

When i set about signing this squad i didn't really aim to get promoted. In fact all i did was sign a few free agents as for the lols i blew 6.3million, 63% of my budget on sturridge. ONE PLAYER.

Cedd then added that if it was this easy to get into the top three favourites to get promoted then the league should be easier then he expected.

Lets hope that Cedd's wrong, eh?

You always give me rubbish odds. :P

I think it's because you know my sheer managerial brilliance will inevitably lead my team to promotion, and you're putting long odds on it to make some money on the side. ;)

BRISTOL CONFIRM DEULOFEU AS CAPTAIN !

Bristol Rovers have confirmed that 17 year old Gerard Deulofeu will be the clubs captain for the season !

The manager of the football club says:

I am happy to have Gerard as captain, a lot would say hes inexperienced but

we have got a very young squad here at bristol Rovers, Gerard Deulofeu is the best out of the bunch and im not other putting the other lads down, with Gerard having experience at Barcelona Ive decided let him have the armband, Out of the 14 games i have set Gerard a task to get 10 Goals for the season, It will be nice to see him get into double figures for the season and I hope the

other players respect my decision and i think they will understand why i have

let him take the armband.

Also earlier this morning Bristol manager Benjamin Warrilow said that Gerard Deulofeu will be the clubs penalty taker.

Just over 1 Hour until the big kick off ;)

Re: WEBS League - Opened 9th Feb

Oooh! Delighted to see my squad value rocket by nearly £10M, and pleased to see we're second favourites for promotion:D

Here are my Championship risers:

Jon Williams +2 -> 77

Tom Lees +6 -> 80

Scott Wiseman +4 -> 78

Alex McCarthy +5 -> 80

Aaron Cresswell +6 -> 80

Gael Bigirimana +3 -> 78

Hoping for a +4/5/6 for Dean Hammond next week too.

Bit annoyed that Fedetov or Kayumov didn't rise, and have two Danish risers too, who should go up in the next week or two. Also have one Romanian riser and hopefully they'll get reviewed soonish:)

Have a difficult opener against Leicester who have Paul Scholes so it should be an interesting one:p

Re: WEBS League - Opened 9th Feb

sean fitzpatrick steered Gateshead to victory against Darlington.

Gateshead beat Darlington 5 - 3 in a thrilling Division 5 encounter.

Santa Cruz was in fantastic goal-scoring form and bagged 4 goals, later being voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Oakes was also on the scoresheet for his side.

great start to the season.
