Re: A Nation’s Pride (ANP 2012)

River Plate 1 - Sao Paulo 2

rioting exactly as we predicted. The home crowd could not cope

3 points to Brazil. Messi played a masterclass for River got Thiago Silva sent off, turn him inside out. Was clearly MOM

However Sao Paulo has a strong team. Pedro and later a Benzema penalty sealed the game.

Sao Paulo only 5th as everyone rolling over for pretender Valencia (scored another 6 today). Lets see how he does against the champions next week

Milan lead division 1 after a crushing 4-1 win over Bayern Munchen. Villa bagged yet another brace to reach 5 goals this season. Ivan Perisic scored his first goals as well as he netted two goals in 5 minutes. Milan lead Valencia by three points at the top.

Re: A Nation’s Pride (ANP 2012)

Valencia 1-2 Milan

The top two teams faced off in the most peculiar game this season. Both teams played out a goalless first half. But soon after the break, former Milan confidant, Mario Balotelli scored against the Rossoneri. He was booed by some sections of the Italian fans. Minutes later, David Villa equalised, but he refused to celebrate to pay respect to the team who loved him. But most peculiar of all, it was Valencia who put the game to bed with less than 15 minutes left, not Valencia CF, but Luis Antonio Valencia now in Milan. The winger slotted home to give the champions all three points. The only downside is Marek Hamsik's injury just before half time. He will be out for three weeks with a thigh strain. We take on second place Sao Paulo next.

Good game mate. Still no regrets selling you Villa and Pastore though! :D

Re: A Nation’s Pride (ANP 2012)

We take on second place Sao Paulo next.

Milan beat Sao Paulo 3-1 last season and Sao Paulo won strangely enough 3-1 on the return in Sao Paulo.

Also Milan won the title last season on goal difference from Sao Paulo

Should be tight. I believe this game can always swing either way, but Milan always favourites for their home fixture

Chelsea vs Sao Paulo

Round 2 of the The Nation's Pride Cup

Sao Paulo have a number of key players unfit that have not made it onto the plane to London. We expected to put up a performance but ultimately come up short.
