Iniesta '29, '32

Sanchez '36

FC Barcelona beat Manchester United in a good match thanks to a very strong Iniesta. With two goals and an assist he absolutely deserved the Man of the Match award.

Re: European Championship 2930 (OPENED!)

The offer for Jordan RHODES of Huddersfield Town from FC Porto has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

I must say ... I'm extremely surprised that none of you went for this lad ! Got him at CV with no competition ... hell ... he was not even shortlisted by any of you lot ....

( That's a better find then Eto'o Camila :D )

Re: European Championship 2930 (OPENED!)

Got a confidence building 0-0 draw with Real Madrid.

Went for a 3-4-1-2 with Necid as a false 9 and Pedro and Vucinic pushing forward.

The offer for Zachary ANDERSON of Gold Coast United from CSKA Moskva has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

The offer for Luke BRATTAN of Brisbane Roar from CSKA Moskva has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

The offer for Álvaro NEGREDO of Sevilla from CSKA Moskva has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

The offer for Tomas ROGIC of Central Coast Mariners from CSKA Moskva has been accepted. The transfer will be completed within the next 24 hours.

Brattan and Anderson have great futures. Really good players here in the A-League. Rogic won Nike's The Chance competition and had a number of English teams, most notably Reading, who wanted to sign the kid. Only 10k.

Negredo will make us have a Spanish triumvirate and will lead the forward line. Necid will make way and leave the club.

Now my team:

---------------------Akinfeev

----------Lugano- Berezutsky- Toulalan

--Jesus Navas- Barry- Montolivo- Nene

---------------Pedro- Vucinic

------------------Negredo

Have players like Bonera, Berezutsky (the other one), Handanovic on the bench

Huge thanks to Milan for the Bonera loan and Man City for Barry on loan!

Lille departures

OUTS:

Hot commodity leaves Lille in shock deal!

Eden Hazard, having been on the forefront of newspapers worldwide after his wonderful and classy performances for Lille has shocked soccer fans worldwide as he completed a move to the less prestigious FC Porto.

Manager Steven Orleandy was disappointed to let him go but shared his view, "Hazard will be a superstar, no doubt about that. However he has been edging for a move ever since I joined this club. He made it clear that he didn't want to be here and so we offloaded him to the highest bidder". He also revealed his delight as getting star playmaker Lucho Gonzalez nad potential superstar Pereira Maicon. "Lucho and Pereira are 2 absolutely fantastic players, ones that we would welcome here everyday." Eden Hazard declined to comment on the situation to avoid criticism for his move.

Fucile replaces Debuchy

The versatile fullback, capable of playing on either side, has moved to he Grimonprez-Jooris in exchange for French international Mathieu Debuchy. He tweeted 'Glad to be at Lille. Thx to Porto for everything #never4get"

Fucile is a more sensible option due to his versatility, and similar playing style to Debuchy. However it still remains to be seen if he can fill Debuchy's boots this season."

Will the departures impact Lille's season negatively? Or will they help Lille to an unprecedented title?

Re: European Championship 2930 (OPENED!)

First match report. Here goes nothing..

Lille continue upward trend with Shakhtar win

After an encouraging win against reigning Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund, a resurgent Lille continued their positive form in defeating Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at the Grimonprez-Jooris. Reporter Wayne Veysey was at the scene.

Lille fans breathed a huge sigh of relief as they edged Shakhtar despite Dutch wonderkid Luuk de Jong continued his purple patch in front of goal as he scored 2 goals either half.

French winger Dmitri Payet opened the scoring with a venomous volley that lashed past keeper Fernando Muslera.

Luuk De Jong pulled things back level after shooting from outside the box, leaving Landreau stranded.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar, Lille's new signing, scored after he chased a long ball before a motionless defence, before sidefooting it into the back of the net.

There was more to come from Luuk De Jong though, as after 50 min he restored parity with a thundering header from an in-swinging corner.

Lille left it late, but veteran Florent Balmont's comical goal resulted in Lille getting their second consecutive win.

Manager Steven Orleandy commented "Our boys did well, we managed to keep them at bay for most of the ime, but Luuk (De Jong) is absolutely brilliant, you've got to give him credit for such a performance. Defensively I think we need to work more though."

Florent Balmont was voted Man of the Match as he bagged an assist and a goal.
